How to set a value to a Presentation Variable using GO URL?

Hi All,
     I am working on a drill (GO URL) from Dashboard page1 to Dashboard page2.
     The problem I am facing is, I am not able to pass a value to the presentation variable through GO URL. (I have to pass "Customer Category" static
value to The presentation variable present in Dashboard Page2 ).
     The Dashboard page2 is having a view select in which we are using presentation variable to select the report based on the value selected in
View Select.
     For example: If the user selects "Customer Category" value in View select and clicks on GO button Customer Category report will show the out put.
     When i am drilling from Dashboard Page1 I have to pass a value to the presentation variable used in view select and also pass some filter condition in
     GO URL.
     Please let me know if it is feasible to pass a value to the presentation variable through GO URL in OBIEE 10.1.3.4.
     It will be greate if you can provide me with the syntax to set a value to the presentation variable of dashboard page2 through GO URL.

1) You have to navigate to dashboard page, not to answer request = you have to use "Dashboard URL API" not GO URL API.
2) On the target page, you have to place dashboard prompt, which sets required presentation variable.
3) Refer to the target using Dashboard URL API and set filter on prompt column using URL parameters. Example: http://localhost:9704/analytics/saw.dll?Dashboard&PortalPath=%2Fusers%2Fadministrator%2F_portal&Page=page%201&Action=Navigate&P0=1&P1=eq&P2=D_TIME.YEAR_CODE&P3=%221996%22
Do not forget to use Action=Navigate. The syntax for setting filters using url parameter is the same as for GO URL API described in Business Intelligence Presentation Services Administration Guide.
This is the way, you can implement navigation to parametrized direct SQL reports including passing filter values...

I'd like to set the value of an radio button dynamically, depending of the situation.
(=> the value which the object returns to the radio group)
Means: the 'radio button value' of my object 'rb_1' shall be 1, in other circumstances 99 and so on.
Is it possible to set this value at runtime ?

How to send different value of presentation variable in GO URL??

I'm using GO URL to send presentation Variable (d_pv) to filter other report on 'day' column.....
'(a href = http://server/analytics/saw.dll?GO&path=/shared/BI%20Reports/Ki1/KPIs%20Detail%20Priority%203%20Shipped&Action=Navigate&p0=1&p1=eq&p2="Time".Day&p3=@{d_pv})SHIPPED(/a)'
This is working fine. But my goal is to filter the other report using previous day of the value of d_pv (eg. if d_pv value is '2010-04-27' , I need to filter other report using '2010-04-26')
I couldn't find to pass one day back value of presentation variable using go url.
Please Help..

I'd say use TIMESTAMPADD(SQL_TSI_DAY,....,1) and use pass your pres variable to this column.
so when you pass 28/04/2010 to the target report day+1 column, it will show 27/04/2010 data.

How to set default values for boolean columns

I'm trying to deploy some content types and columns into a site with a feature. All it's ok, except that I'm trying to set a default value for boolean columns with no success.
I've tried to set default value at column level:

Hi,
"cookie" is a reserved name. If you want to write to a session scope attribute called "cookie" then you have to call #{sessionScope.cookie}. If you want to use EL to set and read from cookies then you will have to use
#{cookie.cookieName}
Note that #{cookie} writes to and returns a map

Got maybe a solution for you, I have just tested it.
So, the idea is to use intermediate variables. Imagine Var1 and Var2 variables that you refresh with your more or less complicated queries. Then what you can do is to refresh your final variable Var3 with a query using your intermediate variables. Here is an example for Oracle:
select #Var1+#Var2 from dual
This way you can make a chain of dependent variables: Var3 is using Var2 and Var2 is using Var1.

Maybe I've been working on this too long, but I can't figure
out how to set the value of the text property of a text input field
in a component from my main application in an mx:Script block. I
have a component called Login in the components folder, and I need
to set the text value of empNum. In my mxml declaration at that the
top, I've declared these components as xmlns:c="components.*" So
logically, the property I'm trying to set is c.Login.empNum.text. I
can't figure out the correct syntax to get this to work, and I've
tried everything I can think of. Does anyone have any suggestions?
I'm thinking this should be an easy one, and I'm just missing
something.

Hi,
1. First import the BAPI in to WD component using create->service call.
2.The BAPI import, export and Table parameters will be set in to the Component Controller context.Then drag this BAPI node to your view.
3.In the 'texts' property of DDbyindex bind the BAPI output node which will be the Table parameter of the BAPI.It could be under CHANGING node.
4.In WDDOINIT method just click the code wizard and enter the method name which you will give when importing the BAPI.Automatically the values from the BAPI will be loaded into your Dropdown when you run the application.

is it ADF bound? If so then you set the default value to the list binding in the PageDef file. The value of the component must be bound to a method expression, which is why you see an exception. However, I think we need more information

Select option is table <Structure> with fields, low, high, sign & option
you need to append the value into the select option, with appropriate value in low or
example:
S_HKONT-low = <value>
S_HKONT-SIGN = 'I'
S_hkont-OPTION = 'EQ'
append s_hkont.
Default value for select-option also can be added directly in select-option statement.

We tried all the way but could not able assign characteristics value before saving the document. it means we can only see the assigned value using transaction CV02N. but our requirement is to check if the user fills any value into characteristics it should check with default value which we would like to assign whenever we create a new part of the document which we are not able to achieve.we tried a lot but could not succeed.
Nay idea if we can achieve this....

Assume you have the node called TEST and attribute called NAME then to set the value of NAME, you can use the following code say in WDDOINIT method or any other method.
data:
    Node_Test                           type ref to If_Wd_Context_Node,
    Elem_Test                           type ref to If_Wd_Context_Element,
    Stru_Test                           type If_Componentcontroller=>Element_Test ,
    Item_NAME                           like Stru_Test-NAME.
navigate from <CONTEXT> to <TEST> via lead selection
Node_Test = wd_Context->get_Child_Node( Name = wd_This->wdctx_Test ).
get element via lead selection
Elem_Test = Node_Test->get_Element( ).
set single attribute
Elem_Test->set_Attribute(
    exporting
      Name = `NAME`
