Set the custom background images to default?

Is there any way to set the custom background image to default instead of manually changing the background image in the phone?

This was actually discussed some time ago. Please see this link.

  • Setting the desktop background image via Powershell

    UPDATE:
    I found the solution that addressed my problem, which I posted in a post below. Keeping the original post for Internet historical reasons as I the hope this helps someone else later on in their search for a solution.
    ===============
    I have Bing'ed and I have Google'd and I haven't found a solid answer to setting the desktop wallpaper programmically.  I am trying to do this via PowerShell, but I would be happy for any other language flavor or application to work.
    Below is the code I have tried to set the desktop background image. This has been scrounged from a few sources across the web. This solution works 25% of the time and I haven't figured out what the cause for success or failure of the execution. Or maybe
    it's neither, but waiting for Explorer to refresh. The only way to see the change 100% is to log out and log back in.
    I am running Windows 8.1 btw.
    Thank you for looking.

    Thank you.

    Great news! I found the solution and all props and credit goes to
    jsd1982 of the XKCD comic
    forum from a post he made in 2007 and some deep search kung-fu Googling on my part. Here is the
    direct link to the post.
    This solution has worked for me 100% of the time on Windows 8. The only gotcha I found (minor detail) was when setting this process to run as a scheduled task, I had to run it as elevated privileges for the code to compile in memory. Running this function
    from PowerShell at the command prompt was fine.
    NOTE: The code below is a slight trimmed down version posted by jsd1982 to just set the desktop wallpaper. I removed the image fetching from the Internet and the color inversion.

  • Is there an ARD command or Unix command that I can send to reset the desktop background image to default?

    I was forced to create a local user with an automatic login on all of the machines in the building. I listed off many various issues that could come arise by doing this but was tuned out. Now people are changing all of the desktop backgrounds to some pretty inappropriate images. I forewarned the person ordering this that this may be one of the many issues that would arise when doing away with our server based logins, and now I am charged with fixing every desktop every time someone changes it to something inappropriate.
    Is that an Apple Remote Desktop command or a Unix command that I can send through ARD v3.5.3 to the machines to reset the desktop background image to the default Aqua Blue jpeg image located in the /MacintoshHD/Library/Desktop\ Pictures/Aqua\ Blue.jpg.
    The machines that I am dealing with have OS X 10.4.11, OS X 10.5.8, OS X 10.6.8, and OS X 10.7.4 installed on them, but the OS X 10.4.11 machines are the ones that are creating the biggest issue so I would like to deal with those first.

    Ya, I'd love to have the computers connected to the Xserver, unfortunately against my heeding, I was ordered to take them off of the Xserver, so they only have a local account that automatically logs in on startup, and even though I have Parental Controls set, I can not stop them from going to Safari, selecting an inappropriate image and setting it as the background, so now I’ve been ordered to fix all of the backgrounds that people are messing with.
    My Xserver is running OS X 10.4.11 Server Edition. Yes, I would love a new server, but that’s not happening due to budget cuts.
    So what I am hoping for is a command that I can put into Apple Remote Desktop v3.5.3 and push out to all of the computers via its Unix commands and reset all the desktops to their default image.

  • Custom background image for 7942 IP phones on CCM 6.1.2

    All,
    i am unable to create the custom background images for the Cisco 7942 IP phone, i am running a CCM version 6.1.2. I have uploaded the Image files and also the List.xml file, but when i click on custom images i dont see the image that i uploaded and it say "no selection available". And also after i uploaded the files i have restrated the TFTP services.Have attached the images and List.xml files.Please have a look @ them and let me know if i am missing something here.
    Thanks,
    Rohith

    First off, as this is a CUCM question, you'd be better of over in the IP Telephoney forum (
    https://supportforums.cisco.com/community/netpro/collaboration-voice-video/ip-telephony )
    The thing that jumps out at me is the case of the filename. CUCM Runs on Linux which is case sensitive. Try matching the case.
    If that doesn't help, try looking at the phone logs or Wiresharking the phone.

  • [ANSWERED]Which terminals let you set a random background image?

    Many terminals nowadays let you set a background image on the terminal itself.
    Which terminals let you set a random background image from a directory or list of images? Also need to be able to have multiple terminals with different background images open, so having a script that moves around images won't work.
    I like this because when you have lots of terminals open, you can associate each with their background image. Also if your background image isn't a tiled thing or a stylized gradient (such as a human, etc), it might look bad when duplicated all over the screen.
    I could use transparency, but I don't like psuedo transparency, and real transparency comes with all sorts of problems. (For me at least.) I would still prefer having multiple background images though.
    Konsole and eterm are the only two I know that can do this, but konsole is KDE, and eterm has no unicode support, is dead (I think), and is ugly.

    So now that time has passed and I'm on a clean new install, I decided to try out uxvrt again. The good news in that now I can type in it with scim. I have no clue how or why, but it means the greatest hurdle is gone.
    I also even managed to get a good looking English font.
    urxvt*font: xft:Monospace:pixelsize=12
    Only problem is a readable east asian font. The default font is a mess and everything is squished together. If I explicitly select an east asian font, then there are huge spaces between each letter, even for english. So I find out this is a known bug, and I find a patched aur package for it, but the patch doesn't seem to make a difference.
    I know urxvt lets you select a main font and a secondary font and so on. Maybe I did the syntax wrong. I tried both:
    urxvt*font: xft:Monospace:pixelsize=16
    urxvt*font: xft:WenQuanYi Zen Hei:size=9:antialias=True
    and
    urxvt*font: xft:Monospace:pixelsize=16,urxvt*font: xft:WenQuanYi Zen Hei:size=9:antialias=True
    Neither of them worked. From what my understanding of what the man page says, the size of the cell is supposed to be based on the main font, but in both those cases the secondary font stretches the cells.
    Can anybody reccomend fonts for east asian scripts that work well and show me your .Xdefaults ?
    FAKE EDIT: I just thought of an idea, and it kinda works:
    urxvt*font: xft:Monospace:pixelsize=16,xft:WenQuanYi Zen Hei:size=9:antialias=True
    Now I get a readable font, but massive spacing issues between Chinese Characters.
    EDIT: About the pixmaps, I got a script to randomly select and image and all is fine, but I can't seem to find a way to disable scaling. I can set the size of the picture by a percent, but it doesn't let me use decimals and it is impossible to get the exact resolution of the picture to display. (Unless I let it tile, but the pictures I am using aren't meant to be tiled.) Is there a way to either disable scaling, or set the urxvt size in pixels so I could make it exactly 640x480. The urxvt man page says that a scale of 1 disables scaling, but it seems to have no effect.
    EDIT2: I just noticed I can't use scim now. I have no clue why, but I think compiling it with afterimage support breaks it.
    EDIT3: I found out why scim was not working/working. I had to add this to my ~/.scim/global:
    /SupportedUnicodeLocales = en_CA.UTF-8
    I also got a script that works, kinda:
    #!/bin/bash
    image="$(ls /usr/local/share/cgs | sort -R | tail -1)"
    urxvt -pixmap /usr/local/share/cgs/$image\;86x100
    The only problem is that I don't know how to get urxvt -pixmap to keep the aspect ratio of the image. 86x100 is the closest it will let me get to the actual aspect ratio, but it is off slightly. Barely noticable. The man page says that propscale will do this, but it doesn't seem to work.
    Either way, for now, I am just going to use 86x100.

  • How do I keep the body background-image centered?

    I have a body background-image that does not fill up the
    entire window on the tops and bottoms of most monitors (it
    strectches to the left and right just fine) and so I would like to
    have it centered vertically with equal amounts of the
    background-color #ECE5C8.
    I assumed using background-position: 50% 50% would do the
    trick and it does until switching to full screen mode and all the
    content jumps upwards and messes up the whole site layout (IE
    only-in friefox, the background-image still doesn't center) so
    instead I have the background-position set to: 50% 0%.
    Thanks a million to anyone who can help me get it centered, I
    know there has to be an easy fix but I sure can't figure it out!
    The site can be found here:
    http://www.lightspacewebdesign.com/sacredsolas

    There would be only two ways to make this layout 'work'.
    1. Just make everything on that page a graphic. Then there is
    no
    possibility that resizing the text in the browser will blow
    the layout.
    This is a very bad idea for obvious reasons.
    2. Have the text containing 'graphical box' built in pieces
    so that as the
    text expands, it can cause the box to expand as well. The
    easiest way to do
    this is with a top a middle and a bottom image of the box,
    using each as the
    background image of three stacked containers. Place the text
    in the middle
    container and as it expands, it will tile the middle
    background image
    vertically to give the impression of the box expanding. This
    approach
    doesn't lend itself to your background image, since there is
    no way to tile
    the background image to fill the newly created space.
    Beyond that, I think you are a dead duck. The problem is not
    that this is
    what you were given to work with - it's that you didn't
    understand how
    unusable the design was when you accepted it. I think your
    best option now
    is to go back to the designer and explain to them how this
    lovely layout
    only works well in print, and not on the web. Show them how
    it fails.
    Solicit suggestions from them for how to make it work in a
    medium where
    there is no way to control the size of the text.

  • How to Set up Print As Image Registry Default.

    This is a response to the archived post at:
    martin hrubes, "How to customize printing by registry - print as image" #, 6 Nov 2007 2:28 am
    I was trying to find out how to set the "Print As Image" advanced setting to be enabled by default. Here is what I discovered through trial and error.
    1. The setting is stored per user and per printer. (i.e. it has to be set for each printer for each user.)
    2. The registry setting is stored in the following key:
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\8.0\General\cPrintAsImage]
    3. In this key, each printer has a separate binary value named s0, s1, s2, etc. The number increments by 1 for each printer added. If you open the value data, you will see it contains the name of the printer encoded in hex. (ex. hex coded for \\Server\Printer1)
    My recomendation is to open a pdf file in reader, go to File -> Print ->Select Desired Printer -> Click "Advanced" Options -> Enable "Print As Image" -> Click OK - Click OK again. Repeat for each printer you want to
    change.
    **NOTE** If you don't click OK both times (i.e. cancel the print dialog), the change will not be saved. You have to actually print something to the printer. If you don't want to print something, make sure the printer is offline or not accessible (unplug the network, usb, parallel, serial cable) first. Once the printer has been changed, it will keep the setting until to you change it.
    After you have set-up all of the desired printers, open RegEdit and navigate to the above key. Right click on it, and export it. Note the file name and location you are saving to. Close RegEdit. "Edit" (Right Click) the file just exported ("Opening" the file will just import it back into the registry.). Once opened, highlight and copy the registry key and all of the registry values. Paste the key and values at the end of the file. In one of the keys change "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\" to "HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\". Save and exit the file.
    When imported this file will enable the "Print As Image" setting for the currently logged in user plus add the setting to the default users profile so any new users to the machine will have it enabled by default also. However, it will not add it to any other user profiles that already exist on the computer. To do this, either use a login script for domain computers or add the reg file to the "All Users Startup" folder.
    It would be nice to have a setting in the deployment custimazation wizard to handle this, but for now we're stuck with enabling it the hard way.

    Yes Spyla, please see this link http://www.404techsupport.com/2008/09/09/make-adobe-reader-and-adobe-acrobat-use-print-as- image-setting-by-default-2/comment-page-1/#comment-3112.
    Allan, many thanks for your post, it certainly helped point me in the right direction.  what I found though is that you do not need to tick the print as image box at any point during the setting up of this.  All you need to do is add the registry key for whichever version of Adobe you are using for this to work.  So basically. what you are saying for each instance of Adobe is regardless of whether or not the print as image is selected, the registry key is saying always print as image for the printer as specified by the hex code. I have found that for network printers, you have to include the full path i.e. \\<servername>\<printername> e.g \\testserver\printer1 and convert all of that to hex. With later versions (9 up over), they have allowed for the string name of the printer so that it is just plain text which also makes life easier.
    What I do is apply this registry entry via Group Policy on a per room basis so that we only ever need to add one printer to the list.  you could do this globally by adding all printers sequentially using s0, s1, s2 or t0, t1, t2 etc depending on which version you are using.  The screenshot shows the registry key for 1 printer for Adobe Reader 8.
    The value data is the binary code for the actual full printer name
    This works a treat.
    Hope this helps
    Thanks

  • Showing the custom train stop as default activity based on condition

    Hi Folks,
    I'm using JDeveloper version 11.1.1.5.0. I have requirement where in i have to show the custom train stop as default train stop based on some business logic instead of default activity mentioned as part of task flow with train.
    Test Case:
    I have a dynamic region where i'm loading diff task flows based on condition. Let us consider i have two task flows TF1, TF2 and One of these task flows (TF2) contains a train.
    TF2 task flows has a train with train stops as ts1, ts2 and ts3 and ts1 has been configured as default activity in TF2 task flow
    I'm loading these task flows into dynamic region based on my business logic. Currently i'm in TF1 and i'm doing some action in TF1 page. Based on my business logic in one of the button actions in TF1, i have to load TF2 into region and have to set either ts1, ts2 or ts3 as default activity. its not like every time only configured default activity as part of TF2 is shown.
    Consider this case. in IF1 i have 3 buttons b1, b2 and b3. When i click on b1, i have to load TF2 into region and ts1 as default activity. Like wise if i click on b2 in TF1, i have to load TF2 abd ts2 as default activity. Like wise if i click on b3 in TF1, i have to load TF2 abd ts3 as default activity.
    I have summarized my test case here. Its not exactly 100% same but it more or less like based on some business logic in TF1 i have to load TF2 with specific train stop as default activity.
    Please help me in this regard. Is this possible in ADF? if yes provide some pointers.
    NOTE:
    I'm able to show the specific trainstop as the selected one but its content is not showing. Though i'm able to see my intended trainstop selected but content is always the content related to the default activity configured as part of task flow.
    I have used below code to acheive ( setting atleast intended train stop as the selected on)
    TrainModel trainModel = TrainUtils.findCurrentTrainModel();
    trainModel.setCurrentTrainStop(activityId);
    [activity id i'm getting from model it self like java.util.Map<ActivityId, TrainStopModel> mapTrainStops = trainModel.getTrainStops(); and intended activityId is provided}
    // note end
    Thanks,
    Mahipal

    Hi Jobinesh,
    Thanks for your reply.
    When i try to do the navigation with in the task flow i.e. with in the train task flow, i'm able to navigate fine. But for different taskflow, i'm unable to do it.
    for ex: in my case i have three train stops ts1, ts2 and ts3. I have placed a button in ts3 and i'm returning the respective navigation el expression to navigate to either ts1 or ts2 in action method of this button. I'm able to do this successfully. but when i come from different taskflow, i'm unable to do this.
    I have tried this link as a workaround but it is not working.
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/adf/learnmore/97-deferred-trainstop-navigation-1528557.pdf
    i have tried this way, but it is not working.
    FacesContext fctx = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
    ExpressionFactory expressionFactory =
    fctx.getApplication().getExpressionFactory();
    ELContext elctx = fctx.getELContext();
    MethodExpression methodExpression =
    expressionFactory.createMethodExpression(elctx,
    "_adfcActivityRequest./WEB-INF/task-flow-definition.xml#task-flow-definition@*ts3*",
    String.class,
    new Class[] { });
    *//NOTE: ts3 is the activity id of third train stop*
    //queue action in region
    myspaceRegion.queueActionEventInRegion(methodExpression,
    null, null, false,
    0, 0,
    PhaseId.INVOKE_APPLICATION);
    Please let me know any pointers for this problem. is there any example with routers navigation rules which can be called from another task flow.
    Thanks,
    Mahipal

  • How to set the fiscal year period as default in variables

    Hi All,
    How to set the fiscal year period as default it shoud take previous period when the report is executed.
    And also I need to do the same changes in reporting agent.
    Could you please any one help me.
    Points will be given.
    Thanks!
    Best regards,
    Ajay.

    Hi Ajay,
    Create a customer exit variable.Write the code in the include 'zxrsru01' using system date.
    take the system date from the system date variable and using that you can get the current fiscal year period.use this value and using string commands, you can get period.
    subtract 1 from this value.Using this you can get the previous fiscal period..
    Please let us know, if you need the coding part
    Hope it helps

  • Custom background images in pop-up menus?

    Can I use custom background images in FW MX (v6) popup menus?
    If so, how can I get them in there? If I can't do it in FW, is
    there a way to modify the JavaScript to call on the appropriate
    images? And, if I can get custom images in there, with embedded
    text, is there a way to make the navigation elements "crawlable" by
    search engine bots? I'm trying to achieve a particular visual
    effect for my client's website, and use a custom font in the menu
    cells -- hence HTML text won't work.
    I also seem to be getting a one-pixel transparent space
    between the cells that looks weird. Any advice?
    Any help is appreciated.

  • Why Firefox OS automatically change my lockscreen background image to default?

    I have ZTE Open C
    At first boot my lockscreen background image was Firefox OS default image (fox on blue background).
    Then I changed the background image of my picture from gallery.
    My lockscreen background image all the same was default, but if I reboot my device, lockscreen image becomes the one I chose. And if I lock my phone, and then i unlock him, lockscreen background image becomes default.
    I don't know what i can do, help me :)

    Resetting the device to factory reset didn't resolve the issue for me. The lock screen now reverts to default, even after factory reset regardless of how many times I change my wallpaper.

    But its not working .when i went to site settings-->master page --> in the drodown , the  maste page set is seattle.master ONLY, though my current master page is available in the dropdown.
     Can anyone pls help, whether i am missing in the below :
          Add-PSSnapin Microsoft.SharePoint.Powershell
           $SiteURL = "http://srvr1:22307/sites/SPW5"
        $weburl= $SiteURL
        $Site= Get-SPSite $SiteURL
        $web =  $Site.OpenWeb()
    $web.CustomMasterUrl = "/_catalogs/masterpage/myMasterpage.master"
    $web.MasterUrl = "/_catalogs/masterpage/myMasterpage.master"
    $web.Update()

    Hi,
    Is it a publishing page? If yes can you try the PowerShell scripts corresponding to the following code snippet?
    var publishingWeb = PublishingWeb.GetPublishingWeb(web);
    publishingWeb.CustomMasterUrl.SetInherit(inheritFromParent, false);
    publishingWeb.CustomMasterUrl.SetValue(masterPageUrl, false);
    publishingWeb.MasterUrl.SetInherit(inheritFromParent, false);
    publishingWeb.MasterUrl.SetValue(masterPageUrl, false);
    I've noticed sometime (not sure though) that Master page doesn't get updated if the inherit property is not updated first.

  • How to set the show properties as  a default in KM

    Hello All,
    I am trying to upload the documents in KM repository using File-> Upload. If I click this Upload button, it will open a new window, it will show (show properties) this properties. But I want this one as default. Can any one help to set the (show properties) as a default?
    Thanks in  Advance.

    Hi Gowsika,
    I'm sorry, but you seem not to get my explanation.
    First, there is no such "switch" for "Show Properties" or "Hide Properties", and there is also not Resource Type "Show Properties". It is hardcoded in the UICommand "upload" (so in the Screenflow implemented by com.sapportals.wcm.rendering.uicommand.cm.UIUploadCommand), that if the ResourceType "normalrt" (http://sap.com/xmlns/cm/framework/normal-resource-type) displayed "Normal Document" is selected, you will see the "Show Properties" link. Only by changing the implementation of this UICommand you could change this behavior, but it's not recommended because you have to make sure on upgrades that you don't overwrite it again.
    So again my suggestion:
    1. Go to KM->CM->Configuration->CM->Global Services->Resource Types
    2. Duplicate the Resouce Type "normalrt" changing:
      Name: my_normalrt
      Resource Type ID: http://sap.com/xmlns/cm/framework/my-normal-resource-type
    3. Go to KM->CM->Configuration->CM->Global Services->Property Structures->Property Structures
    4. Duplicate "DefaultPropertiesStructure" changing:
      Name: My_DefaultPropertiesStructure
      Resource Types: http://sap.com/xmlns/cm/framework/my-normal-resource-type
      Structure Items: "Input_here_your_properties_and_property_groups"
    BTW: If you want to have the same properties as in DefaultPropertiesStructure you might be obligated to remove some of them from the original Property Structure.
    5. Go to KM->CM->Configuration->CM->User Interface->Commands->UI Commands
    6. Duplicate "new_file" changing:
      Alias: my_upload
      Parameters: ResourceType=http://sap.com/xmlns/cm/framework/my-normal-resource-type,standalone=true
    7. Go to KM->CM->Configuration->CM->User Interface->Commands->UI Command Groups
    8. Edit AdminNewResourceGroup by renaming upload to my_upload in the "Commmand List" parameter.
    BTW: It's advisable to duplicate the whole Command Group and use it in your Layout Set and not to change the standard configuration, but I will not describe the whole process here
    9. Now go to KM Content and use the menu Folder->New...->Upload
    Hope this helps,
    Robert
