Setting bar graph color by means of formula

Is there a way to set the bar graph color other than chart expert->color highlight. I need alternate way of setting color like this
if data='ready%' then set color=green, I don't want manually set is ready* can be anything. Is this possible ?

Please re-post if this is still an issue or purchase a case and have a dedicated support engineer work with your directly

CR 9 - Need HELP Setting Line Graph colors in the Chart Expert

I created a Crystal Report (CR) based off an existing Trend Analysis report. I have created a VB6 application that calls the .RPT file I created for the report in CR. The VB6 app sets the report recordset via code that corresponds to the .TTX file, and the parameters . The report contains a Line graph that plots five pieces of data. The report & graph work good. The Problem: CR determines the color of each line on the graph. However, I need to set the color for each line to correspond to the colors used on our existing reports. The users are accustom to a certain color representing a certain set of data on the existing reports.   I have tried everything I can think of and from all documentation I can find, and nothing changes the line colors.   I have tried all of the following:
1.) From the Chart Expert, Option tab, I click the Format button next to Color and setup conditional color settings per each piece of data.   However, when I run the report these conditional color settings are not reflected on the CR graph.     I am using formula fields (based off database fields in the recordset) to produce the report. However, I only see the database fields to use in the conditional color formatting screen and not the formula fields.    I thought this would possibly be the cause why the colors wonu2019t change on the CR, but I canu2019t find a way to make the formula fields show up in the list.
2.)Also, I tried right clicking the individual lines of the graph and change the selected item color, but this didnu2019t change the color either. I do this in Design mode and Preview mode and neither one changes the color of the lines on the graph.
3.)I have also looked into the CR object model to see if I can change the line colors of the graph via code and it doesn't look like I am given this flexibility.
Do you know what I am doing wrong here?   I just want to be able to set the color of each line on the CR graph to the color I want instead of using the default colors. Are there some Hot Fixes that I need to apply to my copy of CR?

I got the problem fixed w/ the line graph not making the data lines the same color on the report as on the frmPlot graph.   Compare the two screen shots below.   The problem was as follows: When I created the graph (in the Chart Expert) the field u201CReadingDateu201D was not one of the Report Fields, and all the other fields were Report Fields (Reading, LowAlarm, UpperAlarm, LowerLimit, & UpperLimit). See the 3rd screen shot below. ReadingDate does show up as a Report Field now but it wasnu2019t at first.   Originally, this field was only available in the Chart Expert as a recordset field. When I changed this field to be a Report Field, the graph then allowed me to change the data series line colors.   This was not obvious at all.   From the beginning when I setup the graph and passed in the recordset from VB it graphed all of the data series fine.   The colors that the Chart Expert chose for each line just didnu2019t match what was on the frmPlot graph.   Anyway, it is working now.     I can at least say I learned (somethingu2019s to-do and somethingu2019s not to-do) a good bit about Crystal Reports in the process.

Vary Chart Bar Graphs Color

Hello folks!
I am creating an Excel chart using Excel Interop (please find below code and output for the code given below). I need to vary the colors of same-series chart bar graphs (The graphs only now in orange). This line of code doesn't do the trick:

The series1.Interior.ColorIndex property can only set the color for the whole series. If you want to vary the color of the bar graphs in the same series, one way is to vary the color by the Point. For example:
int pointsCount = series1.Points().Count;
for (int i = 1; i <= pointsCount; i++)
series1.Points(i).Interior.Color = Color.FromArgb(0, 30*i, 0);
You can set the color as you want for every Point of the series, the series1.Points([point number]) method will return the whole Points collection or just one Point of them.

Pages '09 Bar Graph Color Help!

Hi everyone.
I am trying to make a chart in pages 09 and I have a wee bit of a problem.
Lets say I make a bar graph, a simple one with 4 bars. What do I do if I want to change the color of just one bar? If I want the first bar to be red and the rest to be green for example. I already tried dragging the color onto one bar individually but all the bars are still changing with it.

Pages uses a single colour for each series of data. Each series is listed in a single column.
Try moving the datum you want to show in a different colour one column to the right, leaving its cell in the 'regular' column empty.
Select the original column(s) and the extra one, then choose the stacked bar graph (second item) from the Charts button's popup menu.

10g Graphs - How to customize the default color of a Bar Graph

I've posted this thread in Reports section, have received no reply yet. Maybe no one has ever tried this before!!
I am porting a couple of 6i OGD's to 10g graphics.
Basically I am invoking reports from a form. The reports contains embedded Graph.
Here comes the tricky part.
I have a couple of Graphs in 6i that display each bar of a bar graph in different color.
Example:
Value       Bar Color
Critical     Red
Major       Orange
Minor       Yellow
None       GrayQ) I want to know how to set the color of each bar of a bar graph based on the value it takes. i,e If it's critical the bar should be displayed in red. If it's major, the bar should be displayed in orange.
I added conditional formatting in 10g Graph, and this is the trigger that was created.

Why don't you use the build-in charting capability of reports 10g instead? There is FormsGraph.jar implementation for forms but that might not have the flexibility of what 6i graphs has/had and not "officially" supported - not like the reports 10g charting capability (which is built in and can be customized by editing the related xml files (if necessary). Note: FormsGraph.jar has it's own limitations

How do I conditionally set the series color of a bi beans graph based on the data values?
I am using the following code to get the data values and set the series color:

Also, I get the error "method <= (java.lang.Object,double) not found in class _CmdrDashboardP1" from the "if (val <=45.0)" code.

Anychart bar graphs - Can we map colors to customer IDs in JSON/XML dynamically?

Hi,
We are using the Anychart bar graphs to show our customers data. We need to be able to map colors to customer IDs, so that anytime we use a bar chart a customer will aways be the same color.
Example: if one view shows 3 customers (cust ABC is maroon, XYZ is yellow and DXA is blue) and a second view, because of the data, shows 12 customers, that if 2 that are in the first view are also showing they would have the same colors as they did in the first view (cust ABC is still maroon and cust DXA is still blue and if XYZ is not in the second view then Yellow would not be present)
Is there a way to map the colors to the customers in an XREF table then build the JSON or XML dynamically and use that in the graph each time?
I have found the Anychart site and it looks like it is possible but was wondering if anyone has done it? Otherwise it looks like it is going to be to time consuming to read everything I would have to read.

Popularity Rating using Bar Graphs on Itunes? What does it mean?

When I log onto Itunes, and I look at a particular band, like the band, "Without A Face,"
I see the "popularity rating," beside each individual song.
What does the popularity rating bar graph indicate? Does it represent the number of sales, of each individual song? Or, does it just represent the number of people, who are listening to each individual song?

How did you find out that popularity rating relates to the sale of each individual song?
It can't be related to anything else since iTunes can only track sales, not what people are listening to.
Does one black slash next to the song represent that the song has sold 10, 100, or 1000 times?
I doubt it's any of those. More likely it's relative to whatever else is displayed.
If a song sold 5,000, it could have 5 bars compared with other songs but it could also have no bars if it is compared to other songs that have sold 500,000.
Again, Apple has not published any info on exactly what the rating means or how it is derived..

You have to create the entire chart manually. follow the below steps. You can refer to the anychart website for more help on different tags and features.

BO 4.0 webi: Conditional formatting on a bar graph

Hi,
Is it possible to fiormat a Bar graph conditionally in BO 4.0(SAP BO BI: web intelligence)..
I want to create a bar graph that displays bar in Green color if the value of bar is greater than target set and Red if it is less than target, which is not doable with BO xi3.1 version.
Please let me know if this can be doable with latest version of BO 4.0 webi.

Hi Bharath,
One workaround in 3.1 I have found is to use a stacked bar chart and then create two variables out of the measure you want to be green if over a certain amount and make the formula:
=[Measure Object] Where([Measure Object] >= 10,000)
and the 2nd variable formula for red:
=[Measure Object] Where ([Measure Object] <10,000)
Then place these two measure variables on top of each other where the measure values go. Then go into the color palette and make a custom palette with the first two colors green and red see if that gives you what you are looking for.

Can't set up irssi colors

I'm feeling really... stupid. I just can't set up irssi colors, almost ashame for asking advice on this

It's almost the way I want it, but a couple of things:
- I want everyone nickname but mine in gray
- I want the join/quit text (... has joined/quit) in gray
- I want the mode (@, +, etc) in yellow
I tried to format the text according irssi site, but without luck.
For example tried this to change others nickname color:
pubmsgnick = "{msgnick %y$0%n %K$1%n-}";
pubnick = "%K$*%n";
and this for the quit msg

all without any luck. Also tried to put the format strings outside the curly braces, with the same result. I've been editing the config file for a while now, not sure what other information could you possibly need.
I know it's not a big deal, I stil can use the program with no hassle, but it would really be nice to set the colors like that, to help me distinguish between lines.
