Setting the height of detail section with RAS SDK

Hi, all,
is it possible to locate a section (CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.ReportDefModel.Section) in a reportk you and set its maximum height?
When I find a detail section in question like so section = reportClientDocument.ReportDefController.ReportDefinition.DetailArea.Sections[counter];
it just gives me the height of one row.
Is there a way to set a maximum size of it?
Thank you!

Hi Jelena,
see the below sample to add a new section to the report.
http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-6025
in the sample, see below code how the section properties are set.
//Set the properties for the section
    boSection.Kind = CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.ReportDefModel.CrAreaSectionKindEnum.crAreaSectionKindDetail;
    boSection.Name = "Detail2";
    boSection.Height = 1000;
    boSection.Width = 11520;
Refer to above sample and write your own code to identify the section and then set the properties.
Othe RAS SDk samples are here.

    Thank you for your support!

    This bug should be fixed in SDK 4.5. Please use the latest SDK.

  • Is there any way to set the height of choice list or list of values?

    Hello Everyone,
    (Jdeveloper: 11.1.2.1.0)
    I recently created a page with some fields as choice lists and some as list of values. Somehow the choice list when opened it is not displaying data properly (I have 3 rows, it is showing only 2 rows and have to scroll to see third row) . I would like to see if there is any way to set this so that I can see all three rows or set the height of choice list as a fixed height?
    Thanks,

  • How to set the height of a textarea dynamically

    Hi,
    I have been trying to set the ui.textarea's height dynamically and I am not able to do it. This is what I am doing.
    <ui:textArea binding="#{assignment$EditResult.textArea2}" id="textArea2" style="height: 90%" text="#{currentRow.value['comments']}"/>
    The height is being ignored and it is set to the default size. How can I set the height of this component to fit to the size of its cell, which is dynamic?
    Thanks for your help.

    Thank you for your help! It worked for something like this:
    getTextArea2().setStyle("color : red");
    but this does not work still.
    getTextArea2().setStyle("height: 90%");
    I think it still does not know the size of the cell at this point yet. But this is a good tip, thanks anyway!

  • Using JDAPI to set the height of the Forms Canvas to it's default value

    Hi,
    I've been trying for a while to use the JDAPI to set the height of the Oracle Form Canvas to it's default value.
    Can anyone advice how to do this ?
    Can the currCanvas.inheritProperty(arg0) be used in this case ?
    Thanks in advance,
    regards

    Hi David,
    Note that I used a Footer Row in my Table. Headers and Footers have special properties. (A poster in the last couple of weeks asked for a summary of Header and Footer properties - somewhat frustrated that he couldn't find a succinct description in the User Guide. Well, there isn't one and the answer is so complicated that nobody has taken on the project. Now we have a new version of Numbers and the answer would need to change.)
    The way to avoid the error is to use a Footer Row and to use the shortcut cell reference notation: =SUMIF(C,TRUE,B). The columns are specified, but the row range is not. Footers are exempt in this notation, so no error is generated regarding a circular reference.
    Hope this clears it up.

  • How can I set the height of ui:pageSeparator to less than 24px?

    I've tried setting the height style but that appears to be ignored.

    I have tried setting the height property of the page separator, but still the height in the IDE & in the browser is more then 7px. Is there a solution?
    This is the style property value of the page separator.
    border-width: 0px; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; height: 7px

    how do i set the iphone to auto sync with the mac book pro?

    Iphone Sync Support wrote:
    Thanks but this is not what I am looking for.  I am looking for the settings - setting that allows our iphone to auto sync with your mac book when you make a puchase on either device.
    You aren't going to sync with my MacBook when I make a purchase.
    And you are not going to autosync your iPod with the MacBook unless you tell it to sync or plug it in.
    You can enable Automatic downloads when you make a purchase.
    iTunes settings > Store.
    When you make a purchase, it will automatically download that purchase to devices set up the same way.
    This is not the same as autosyncing your device to your computer (as you first asked).

  • Fill the blank detail section with dates

    Hello,
    I'm using Crystal reports X1. I have group by "Ticket Number". In the detail section of the ticket number I have a field that stores a date called "SevDate"
    This is how it looks like
    Ticket Number    SevDate
    IM44-0023546
    IM44-0023546   03/20/2010
    IM44-0023546
    IM44-0023546
    IM44-0023546
    What I'm trying to do is get this date repeated or filled in the next detail section of the Ticket Number.
    so, basically I'm trying to see the report like this and this should be in a date format so I can do some other calculation.
    Ticket Number    SevDate
    IM44-0023546

    How can I achieve this task? Please assist...
    Thank you

    Let me count the ways...
    1)  If you want the same date for all records for a given ticket number (which actually is not what's shown), then you could group on ticket number and use Maximum(, ) as the field displayed.
    2)  If you want the last non-null SevDate (apparently), you could use a formula like (basic syntax):
    global sevDate as date
    if Not isNull({SevDate}) then
      sevDate = {SevDate}
    end if
    formula = sevDate
    3)  You could change the generation of the data set (use an SQL Command) to return the date you want in each record.
    Which one to use will depend on your requirements...

  • Unable to specify height of details section

    I am creating a report that will ultimately be printed on pre-printed statements with two columns. So, I first set my details section to print with multiple columns in the Section Expert. However, I would also like to specify the height of the details section so it does not run into the other data on the page. But, when I go to the Layout Tab in the Section Expert, the height section is greyed out, thus not allowing me to specify the height of my details section.

    Try this option
    Right click on group footer (on grayed area) go to section expert and check the option Print at the bottom of the page which prints the group at the bottom of the page to exclude printing other groups data in the page.
    You can also try the option New page After for group header section that prints each group data in a seperate page.
    Hope this helps!

  • Can I set up a Master-Detail Page with report regions for 2 Detail Tables?

    Hi there,
    I am just starting to use Application Express.
    I have a Table (A) with Master-Detail relationships to two Tables B & C.
    I can set up a Master-Detail Page between Table A and Table B, where the records displayed in Table B change when switching between records in Table A. I would like to add Table C to the page and for this to work in the same way.
    Is this possible in APEX? (I've tried adding a report region for Table C and making the Region Source dependent on the same ID field as is used by the report region for Table B but I keep getting "No Data Found" for Table C).
    Many thanks.

    Thanks, but the text needs to be on a single master page which every page is assigned to. This is so the text alternates correctly regardless of whether new pages are inserted or moved. If I assigned separate master pages to individual pages and then moved the pages to a different location, the alternating footer text would then fall out of sync. I hope that made sense!

  • How to set the fields invisible/visible dynamically with screen-exits

    <b>Goal:</b> I am changing the subscreen from standard screen for mobile device interface, i.e. function group LMOB. With a scanner I am to read a material number and have it confirmed by the SAP system. For this I need an input field which is already supplied by the standard program. The users require the screen to be dynamic, i.e. I can not do the settings in the screen-painter.
    <b>Problem occurred:</b> After I have changed to use the customized subscreen 1202 in function group XLRF, not all the fields are displayed. It seems that the values for setting the screen elements are lost when calling the subscreen (3202, copy of screen 2202). For instance, it does not show my input field. Somewhere there need to be a list that contains all these parameter switches? I know how “Loop at screen” works but can’t find the values that are supposed to be passed over to the subscreen.
    Would be grateful for some help.

    Hi Niklas!
    Unfortunately I don't know the transaction you're working on, but I had a similar problem once.
    You have to use the commands <b>LOOP AT SCREEN</b> and <b>MODIFY SCREEN</b>. I found some online help here: <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_470/helpdata/en/9f/dba70535c111d1829f0000e829fbfe/frameset.htm">SAP Online Help</a>. The fields of the pseudo-table <b>SCREEN</b> can be found here: <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_470/helpdata/en/9f/dbab6f35c111d1829f0000e829fbfe/frameset.htm">SAP Online Help</a>. I think you have to set <b>INVISIBLE</b> to 'X' - but you may have to experiment.
    Another thing to look out for is that you have to call this method in the <b>PBO</b> section of the dynpro. Take care no SAP logic is executed after your modification that changes your settings...
    Hope this helps (please reward me if it does),
    Joerg

  • Set the height of an anchored (inline) frame

    Hi
    I have a text frame with an inlined (anchored) text frame. Now I want to change the height of the inlined text frame.
    How can I do that?
    I try it with IPageUtils::DoSetHeight. If I do this, the height is set but the anchored box is not at the same position like before. She is moved upward. What could be wrong?
    Thanks for the support.

  • How to change the high of detail section?

    <p>I&#39;m creating a report for a invoice:</p><p>It header section is the customer information, and  detail contain all about products..</p><p>My problem is with the High of the detail section, because it is so much high, and i need to put more information in the footer section but it apear near to end of paper!</p><p> </p>

    Can you maybe give a bit more information about the problem?  It sounds like you have many detail sections that are repeating and this is pushing your group footer to the end of the page.... Is this as simple as needing a longer page size?
