Setting up default e-mail address

Hi there,
We currently have a set of Workflows sending several e-mails to different agents. We are using workCenters to identify the agents.
It may occur that a WorkCenter does not have any position/user assigned to, and therefore no e-mail would be sent. We would like to setup a default e-mail address for this scenario. This e-mail address will receive the same e-mail, but only when no other agent can be found.
The question is: What would be the most standard way to define this e-mail address? We have set it up within the method of the class we are using to retrieve the e-mail address from the workCenters, but this way users cannot modify this default e-mail address. And we need users to be able to modify this value in production.
Is there any custom config table we can use (like T77S0) specific for WorkFlows? Any other suggestion will be appreciated
Thank you,
Miguel

hi, you can use this FM to  get user details
  CALL FUNCTION 'SUSR_USER_ADDRESS_READ'

        READ_DB_DIRECTLY       = ' '
    IMPORTING
        USER_ADDRESS           = wa_ADDR3_VAL
         user_usr03             = wa_addr3_val
    EXCEPTIONS
         user_address_not_found = 1
         OTHERS                 = 2
Give default user name here. Now u can change user email from table adrc6.

  • I need to set a default e-mail address so that I can send pages on the web, posings such as jobs etc.

    I need help in setting up an internet explorer web page default e-mail address so that I can send copies of job postings, petitions or just an interesting web page?

    Hello lowspark56,
    Please explain a bit about the requirement.
    Based on my knowledge, there is no default e-mail address in Internet Explorer.
    If you want to add the website to favorites, please take a look at the following article.

  • How do I setup my default E~mail address, have tried tool/options window w/ no luck.

    I hate to reference microsoft IE8, but they have a default E~mail address that some web sites utilize. So far I have not been able to set-up one on Firefox, the Tool/option/send link does not work for me, nor does the applications window from the above options.

    Sorry, but this is getting above my level of experience with Firefox. I use Gmail which is supported, and I never had to dig into it this deep.
    Firefox would offer Outlook Express as the first "option", but since Win7 doesn't have Outlook Express as earlier versions of Windows did, that option shows up as Internet Shortcut Shell Extension DLL instead. ''(I get that too, with the "tiny" version of WinXP - ''sans OE'' - I currently use.)'' I have no idea how that Shell Extension DLL works.
    The support page that I hyperlinked has this at the bottom: <br />
    Firefox 3.5 and Firefox 3.6 include only Gmail and Yahoo! Mail support by default. You may add other services when they add support for this Firefox feature. <br /> ''I think Mozilla was counting on extension developers "picking up the slack" with an extension or extensions for each web mail service out there. But the way I see it, is that when Mozilla changed the way this works for Firefox 3.5 the few extensions that already did that were broken, and then there wasn't anything users had to use after the changes. IMHO, that was half-finished by Mozilla. They probably should have left that as it was in Firefox 3.0 or 2.0, instead of leaving the "completion" of this feature to 3rd party developers.''
    You need to an extension to be able to use MSN or Hotmail. Look for a suitable extension in this AMO search.<br />

  • OS 3.0 - Default E-Mail address issues

    I'm sure this is user error, but having some difficulty with default e-mail addresses. I set up three e-mail accounts in this order:
    1.) Comcast
    2.) Gmail
    3.) Yahoo!
    In Mail Contacts Calendars, they appear in that order and near the bottom of that page, my Default Account is set to "Comcast".. Under that section it says, "Messages create doutside of Mail will be sent from the default account.". Fine, but what about sending messages from the Mail App home screen? This is the screen that you first get when you select the Mail App. At the top is says Accounts, then the three accounts are listed below. Sure, I could simply select the account and compose from their, but you have the ability to compose or check mail right from that first screen. When I try to compose from the Accounts page, the Cc/Bcc, From: section has the GMAIL account. I can manually select that and change it, but what's the point? Default e-mail should be comcast. Please advise.
    Thanks!

    You can't, only iCloud mail (@me, @mac or @icloud)  will show up in the iCloud mail system.

  • Setting the default respond email address in Yosemite Mail

    In Mavericks I was able to set the default email address to my new address when I was replying to mail sent to me using an older address I am transitioning from.  However this behavior got changed after installing Yosemite.  In Mail Preferences -> Composing I do not see any place to create a default email address when responding.  Only for new mail.  I was wondering if it is possible to change this via command line in Terminal?

    Whichever account mailbox is currently selecting in the mailboxes drawer will be the account used when selecting New to compose a new message. If no account mailbox is currently selected, the first account listed in the account's window at Mail > Preferences > Accounts is the default email account.
    Tiger Mail includes a true default account selection for "Send new mail from".

  • How do I set a default From email address when I write or reply to an email

    I have more than one email address. I am using Windows 7. When I write an email or reply to one, Thunderbird always seem to use the same address even if is not the address that the sender of an email used. There must some setting that made this address a default. I would like to change the default. I know I can manually select the address I want, but like to have a different one for the default than the one Thunderbird is selecting.

    I understand that you want each of several email accounts to act independently, such that mail for account 1 is sent and received only on that account, then account 2 likewise, etc.
    For each email account, left click on the account name and then select 'View settings for this account'.
    On the 'Account Settings' page, look at the 'Reply-to-Address' (should be blank) and also select the 'Manage Identities' box, which shows the default name and email address. If the default is not for that account, you can add or edit the entries and set the default.
    Back on the 'Account Settings' page, select 'Outgoing Server (SMTP)' and check the user name/account there. It should be for the same account.
    For each account, the other accounts should not be mentioned in any of the places identified above.

  • Default e-mail address for replies

    I have a rather strange problem. I have 8 e-mail accounts in my Thunderbird, and I have 5 different "inboxes". So I have a main one that pulls from one account (we'll call this account #1), then my second one pulls from 3 accounts, the third pulls from 2 accounts, and the 4th and 5th each pull from a single account. I did this by using the Advanced button under Account Settings -> Server Settings to group the e-mail accounts such that they are associated with a certain inbox. There are no problems with e-mail getting to the right place when downloading them. I also use Get Selected Mails and Manually Sort Folders. The only other add-ons are Lightning and Smiley Fixer.
    In most cases, when I click "reply" to a message, it will show the "from" field as the e-mail account to which the message was addressed, but this is not always the case.
    For instance, on a message sent to account #1, if I just do "reply" it will insert the proper "from" address. If I select "reply all" to the same message, I get a different address - one from the 3rd inbox group, and not one I want to use! The address is uses is not the last one that was set up either, I have added the 4th and 5th inboxes since then.
    Sometimes, when I am looking at a message in my second inbox, and I click to reply to a message sent to account A within that inbox, it will flip the "from" to account B.
    I haven't summed up all of the issues I'm seeing, but they are all very similar. I'm sure that if I went through all the iterations I could figure out a pattern but I don't have the time. I've looked in the config file and there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with it. In mail.accountmanager.accounts setting, the order of the accounts seems a bit random and intermingled. The main inbox is the first one, the second is one e-mail from the 2nd inbox, the third is an e-mail from the 3rd inbox, the fourth and fifth are e-mails from the 2nd inbox, the sixth is an e-mail from the 3rd inbox, the seventh and eighth don't seem to have an ID associated with them, and the ninth and tenth are the 4th and 5th accounts - the most recently set up.
    I'm wondering if I have to just re-install Thunderbird and set all this up again from scratch because something seems seriously hosed here. The only thing that looks correct is that account 1 is ID 1 and server 1, and that is set as the default account in every way I can see but it doesn't work like that. All the other accounts/ID/server numbers are out of order, which I'm sure doesn't matter.

  • Setting the default outgoing mail server

    I have multiple email accounts with multiple ISPs. Because I've recently changed ISPs, I'd like my default return address to be a different address than it was before. Is there a way to set the default return address and default outgoing server?

    As already provided, this is done by account - via Mail > Preferences > Accounts under the Account Information tab for the account preferences is where you select the SMTP server for the account, and below is an option to always use the selected server for an account. This must be done for each account.
    Regarding your default return address when sending a message with an account, there is no default selection for this for all accounts. This must be changed by account just as with the SMTP server for each account.
    This is also done under the Account Information tab for the account preferences. What is entered in the Email Address field and Full Name field is what appears as the sending email address and name when sending with an account. The problem is, some email account providers restrict using a different email address to appear as the sending email address for an account - especially when the account has an authenticated SMTP server.
    The Mail.app includes a Reply To: field for the message header for send messages - for entering a different Reply To: email address when sending with an account with a different email address, but there is not an option to have a designated email address always appear and be sent as a default Reply To: email address.

  • How do you change default e-mail address in iPhoto 9.6?

    I've changed my e-mail address but iPhoto defaults to the old one when I try to e-mail photos directly from iPhoto

    iPhoto Menu -> Preferences -> Accounts ->
    Delete and recreate your email settings.
    Alternatively, use Apple's Mail for the job. It has Templates too - and more of them.

  • How do you I change the default e-mail address within a contact in Address Book

    My v-card (My Card) information has 3 e-mail addresses.  My work e-mail address is the default used whenever I use autofill on a web page.  I am trying to change the default e-mail within my contact to my home e-mail address but there is no information that I can find to do this.

    Understand.  I am in the edit mode for my contact.  I see all the contact info.  There is no right click or other means to change the DEFAULT address that autofill uses (it also is first to appear if I type my name in an e-mail). For instance for a group e-mail you can change the default addresses of each contact by control-clicking on the group in Address Book. I can't seem to make the default change in my v-card.

  • Can You Set-up a Sub mail Address Folder?

    I'm switching from Microsoft Outlook Mail to the Apple address and I wondering if there is a way to set-up a sub address folders like I can do in Outlook. See example?
    Business
    - Services for My Business
    - My customers
    - Personnel services
    - Etc.
    Any help in doing this will be greatly appreciated, ANDubin

    I take it you are talking about Address Book application. you can set up separate groups in address book. click on the + under the group column. put the addresses you want in the group you want. they will still be present in the big master list "All contacts" but also in the group you put them in.

  • Default e mail address???

    any help would be appreciated

    I have a similar problem.
    I had a Hotmail E-Mail address that I had to replace.
    That's become a nightmare!
    However, when I use my Imac with the latest OS X (Mountain Lion) and use Apple Mail to send a page,
    my old address (that I cannot use and forgot the password) comes up.
    I tried to change things to a new address and with the SMTP change stuff, and that didn't work either.
    Now I probably have a bigger problem!.
    To whomever answers this question:
    Please:
    1. Keep answrs very simple
    2. Use screen capture to illustrate and reinforce what you are writing.

    I've set up my new e-mail and want to send from it by default rather than the old one.

    * Use Menu: '''Edit -> Account Settings -> <account name>'''
