Z-index of .mov

can i make a div layer cover the quicktime movie?
here is my code, but it doesn't work....
<style type="text/css">
#test{position: absolute;z-index: 20;left: 150px;
top: 250px;height:400px;width:500px;
background-color: #0099CC;}
#qt{z-index: -20;}
-->

</object>

I find a way by using the CSS:clip property like a mask
for exemple
sym.$("image").css("clip", "rect(0,150px, 150px, 0)");
but now I want to modify that when I resize the screen (but it doesn't work)
var largeur = '"rect(0,'+Number(stageWidth-17)+'px, '+stageHeight+'px, 0)"';
sym.$("image").css("clip", largeur);
if someone have a solution
thanks

  • Indexing a movie file for viewer control

    Anyone know of any way of Indexing a movie file.  eg.  qt,flash, wmv, html...  (player or file  technology? )
    Basically Chapter Marks that are "embedded" in a movie file that a viewer can use to jump to points thru a video.  (Not a DVD)
    Can a Youtube Video be encoded for this purpose?
    Any ideas guys?

    That would be cool, though I haven't heard of it.
    There's some workarounds for online video platforms though.
    YouTube:
    1:Annotations (see link) How to Create Chapter Points in YouTube Videos
    2: Timecode references in video description
    Vimeo: Similar, but with added comment.  No plans to integrate function into player. Create Chapter Markers in the Video Player on Vimeo

  • Index rebuild

    Hi Team,
    Please tell me any difference b/w alter index <index> rebuild or alter index <index> rebuild move.
    Is there any difference that more space will be released if I move index to diffrenet tablespace and move move back to orginal tablespace.
    I know that if we use move option we can move index to different tablespace,
    Regards,
    jit

    Even if you would do lots of dml's, that's not certainly means that you need the rebuilding of the index. If your assertion is based on this that there would be some "holes" within the leaf blocks which wont be reused and would require a rebuild, it's wrong then since Oracle would take care of these things on its own. So again, what criteria, other than an OLTP db you used to conclude that you need rebuilding of indexes?
    But I just wanted to know If I go for alter index rebuild or alter index rebuild move and move back the indexes, which option will be best for me mean by which option I can reclaim more space.Well, I am sorry to say but I think you really don't know very well both the commands. The commands don't differ in the space reclaim given by them but in the way they do the rebuild. Please read the documentation to know what both commands do and how? BTW, from where you picked the command alter index rebuild move since I am not sure that such command exists?

  • Can I relocate the Apple Loops & Index folder to another drive?

    There's like 10GB of Apple Loops on my boot drive. I would LOVE to move all of that stuff off to a data drive. Is there a PLIST file or something that tells SoundtrackPro, etc where this treasure-trove of stuff is located - or is it hardwired to be in the Library folder on the boot drive?
    G5 DP 2GHz   Mac OS X (10.4.6)

    Hello,
    Loops reside in a few files.
    /Library/Audio/Apple Loops
    ~/Library/Audio/Apple Loops (if you installed any thiord party guys)
    The index files are here:
    /Library/Audio/Apple Loops Index
    ~/Library/Audio/Apple Loops Index
    To move the loops to an external drive:
    1. Move all of the loops from the Apple Loops folders above and move them to the external drive.
    2. Delete all of the Index files.
    3. Use the Loop Browser to reindex the loops from the new drive.
    Be sure to drag the loops as individual folders (in other words if you store them in a folder called loops and then have groups of loops under that) if you don't, you will have one large group instead of several smaller ones. It makes it easier to find what you want.

  • Missing / No "Apple Loops Index" Folder of TXT Files

    I've been having a weird issue for a while now, even after doing a clean install of Yosemite again. It seems I've never had an Apple Loops Index folder in my Macbook's Library, and even when I make one from scratch in the proper location and run a loops re-index from both LPX and GarageBand, no .txt index files are made. I've never seen the folder or files before. The reason why I'm asking about this is because I've had some issues with missing Apple Loops folders that I definitely have in my HD library, but they won't show up. Many support forums advised trashing the Apple Loops Index text files and re-indexing, but I have no way of finding this folder. Has anyone experienced this or read any similar issue reports?
    Thanks!

    On 10.4.11 iMac Mac Mail I get this message: "Mail cannot update your mailboxes because your home directory is full. You must free up space in your home folder before using Mail. Delete unneeded documents or move documents to another volume." I can't open mail to do this. I have reinstalled software but no effect. How do I get into Mail to delete?

    Found this on the "more like this" Worked like a charm!
    With the Mail.app quit and using the Finder, go to Home > Library > Mail. Copy the Mail folder and place the copy on the Desktop for backup purposes.
    Go to Home > Library > Mail > Envelope Index. Move the Envelope Index file to the Desktop.
    Launch Mail and you will be prompted to import mailboxes. Select OK and allow the import process to complete.
    After confirming all mailboxes were successfully imported and available, you can delete the copy of the Mail folder and old Envelope Index file from the Desktop and this should resolve the problem.

    I need further explanation why when i transport index from Development Client to Production Client the index is active but does not exist in database system DB6.
    So when the cases is occurs i must re-create the index again in Production Level...
    Can someone give me some ideas?

  • System generated index property not generated in database

    Hi,
    I created an offline table by copying it from an (first) online database to my project. The table contains a unique key constraint, which references a system generated index. Now I used this offline table to generate a table in another (second) online database. This all works well except, that the "System Generated" property of the index is "false" and not "true" as in the offline table (and the first online database). When I manually reconcile the same table to the second online database again, there is always a difference shown for this index property. When I try to continue the reconcile process to change this property I get an error message, that the index cannot be dropped because it is obviousely referenced by the unique constraint.
    When I drop the constraint and try to generate the index only I get the following warning message:
    Jan 11, 2012 2:08:59 PM oracle.javatools.db.property.AbstractPropertyManager processDiffs
    WARNING: Unsupported property: systemGenerated
    Is there a way to work around this annoying behavour? Is it possible to change this index property by an ALTER INDEX statement?
    Im using JDeveloper 11.1.2.1.0 (Build JDEVADF_11.1.2.1.0_GENERIC_110907.2314.6081)
    Thanks for help and hints

  • I can't move messages

    I've just made the move from Entourage to Mail. I have a ton of mail that I am now in the process of resorting. (long overdue) Sometimes I get this message - "The message “Subject” could not be moved to the mailbox “New Email Storage/directory”"
    Sometimes it works fine, usually if I don't drill down into a sub-folder. New mail is giving me the toughest time - odd.
    Any thoughts

    I assume you’re moving mail between locally stored mailboxes, right? It could be an index problem, but it’s strange that it would happen right after switching to Mail.
    Verify/repair the startup disk (not just permissions), as described here:
    The Repair functions of Disk Utility: what's it all about?
    After having fixed all the filesystem issues, if any, and making sure that there’s enough space available on the startup disk (a few GB, plus the space needed to make a backup copy of the Mail folder), try this:
    1. Quit Mail if it’s running.
    2. In the Finder, go to ~/Library/Mail/. Make a backup copy of this folder, just in case something goes wrong, e.g. by dragging it to the Desktop while holding the Option (Alt) key down. This is where all your mail is locally stored.
    3. Locate Envelope Index and move it to the Trash. If you see an Envelope Index-journal file there, delete it as well.
    4. Open Mail. It will tell you that your mail needs to be “imported”. Click Continue and Mail will proceed to re-create Envelope Index — Mail says it’s “importing”, but it just re-creates the index if the mailboxes are already in Mail 2.x format.
    Note: For those not familiarized with the ~/ notation, it refers to the user’s home folder, i.e. ~/Library is the Library folder within the user’s home folder.

  • Make mpg movie seekable

    I'm not shure how to ask this in English so sorry if it's hard to understand my question.
    I have a Bourne-movie captured from TV with Myth. I edited and transcoded it with Myth to remove commercials and keeping the highest quality possible. Now I have a .mpg file. When I play it on my Android tablet I can not resume from where I left and I can not fast forward.
    Can I "index" the movie in some way without loosing quality? I have tried to run mencoder -idx and mencoder -forceidx whitch rendered an unplayable movie both with MPlayer and the movieplayer on my tablet. I also tried ffmpeg -i <mymovie> -vcodec copy -acodec copy <mynewmovie> to see if it wrote something in to the new file.
    I have searched for a ffmpeg option to create some kind of timeline or index but I haven't found any.
    It's an mpeg2 stream.

    That didn't do it. Unplayable on tablet after opening with VLC. It stops playing after a few seconds and when it plays it is really choppy.
    When I play another Bourne-movie captured and edited the same way as the one in my first post I get this output from MPlayer:

  • Damaged Index in Mail

    A client of mine has been having a problem that started a couple of weeks ago. His Mail program will seemingly randomly pop up a message saying:
    "Your Mail index has been damaged. To repair it, quit Mail.
    Mail will repair the index the next time you open the application. Your mailboxes and email messages will be preserved."
    He OK's this, Mail goes through a 5 minute re-indexing process, and then everything is fine for a while, but this will happen again sometimes rather quickly, other times after a day or so.
    Is there a way to completely get rid of the indexing to force Mail to create a new one rather than "repair" it, or is repair basically doing the same thing?
    In case it matters, this user is in a client/server situation, although the mail is not being handled by the OS X Server. Just the user account is hosted on a server. But all users just run and handle Mail locally on their machines (but obviously the database is stored in the users folder on the server).
    PowerMac G5 Dual 2GH   Mac OS X (10.4.7)

    If this keeps happening repeatedly, someone should verify/repair the disk there (not permissions), in case there is some filesystem corruption.
    The procedure to manually re-create the index (after having fixed all filesystem issues, if any), would be as follows, but I’m not positive doing this manually will actually solve the problem:
    1. Quit Mail if it’s running.
    2. In the Finder, go to ~/Library/Mail/. Make a backup copy of this folder, just in case something goes wrong, e.g. by dragging it to the Desktop while holding the Option (Alt) key down. This is where all your mail is stored.

  • Am Unable to Move Messages to Folders and other memory problems

    I have been using the Mail program with great sucess for nearly a year and suddenly, when I attempt to drag a message I've read into any of my folders I get an error message: "The message could not be moved to the mail box-Correspondence." It happens for all messages and all folders.
    I recently upgraded to 10.4.3 and also have been doing regular backups with Backup and another program which enables one to create Custom Backup Plans.
    I have also recently been getting the message that my Start-Up Disk is full.
    Are my Mail problems related to the Backup changes? I have been doing the Backups for a couple of weeks.

    Quit Mail first and using the Finder, go to Home > Library > Mail > Envelope Index. Move the Envelope Index file to the Desktop.
    Launch Mail and you will be prompted to import all mailboxes/messages located within the Mail folder at Home > Library > Mail.
    Select OK and allow the import process to complete.
    This should resolve the problem. After confirming all mailboxes were successfully re-imported, you can delete the old Envelope Index file from the Desktop.

  • After generating a .mov, iMovie does not delete the temp files

    When generating a .mov iMovie creates a temp file indicated by a greyed-out icon. It is my understanding that iMovie should delete this temp file when the movie is finally generated. I've been working on a stack of movies lately and I noticed that my available space on the HD was dissappearing at an alarmingly high rate. What is happening for me is that the icon does dissappear, but the file itself remains. I know this 'cuz when I revealed the hidden files I found 1.8 Tb of hidden files sitting on my desktop, each the temp file of a movie I recently generated.
    Any idea what's happening here? When I ran iMovie 6 (?) I didn't see this issue. I'm now on iMovie 11.
    Thanks,
      James

    This seems to have been a problem for a while. My Aperture library is >500GB and I can't store it on the internal drive of my new retina MBP. If I hadn't moved to referenced files already I would have had to do it now.
    When you point iMovie to the drive with the referenced folders you seem to have to use the 'import' option and cannot index the movies in folders lower than the one chosen. I can tolerate the inconvenience of iMovie not being able to use the index of referenced movie files. It's an extra bind that iMovie itself can't index a drive or hierarchy of folders to produce a pick list of video footage.
    One thing I might try is creating a new Aperture library on an external drive and putting all my video files in that. Keeping that as a managed library, I can perhaps take advantage of the Aperture-iMovie link.

  • Mail index unable to load

    Greetings all,
    I am having problems opening my mail app on my macbook pro.
    unable to load my mail index, it will just lagged and hang after a moment.
    Please advise.
    Thank you

    Quit Mail. Force quit if necessary.
    Back up all data. That means you know you can restore the Mail database, no matter what happens.
    Triple-click the text on the line below to select it:
    ~/Library/Mail/V2/MailData/Envelope Index
    Copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C). In the Finder, select
    Go ▹ Go to Folder
    from the menu bar. Paste into the box that opens (command-V), then press return.
    A Finder window will open with a file selected. Move the selected file to the Desktop, leaving the window open. Other files in the folder may have names that begin with "Envelope Index". Move those files, if any, to the Trash.
    Log out and log back in. Relaunch Mail. It should prompt you to re-import your messages. You may get a warning that the index is corrupt and that Mail has to quit. Click OK.
    Test. If Mail now works as expected, you can delete the file you moved to the Desktop. Otherwise, post your results.

  • IMovie 08 degrades movie quality

    When I open iMovie, my camera (JCV MG130) is detected and the movies are being imported into the iMovie library. So far things couldn't be better! However, when I export a movie clip to a file using "Share" -> "Export To Movie" and "Large 960x540" resolution, the picture quality of the exported movie is clearly degraded compared to the original file that was downloaded from the camera.
    *Does iMovie have a loss-less export function?*
    Additional comment:
    Overall, my experience with iMovie 08 (and iDVD 08) on my Leopard MacBook Pro is mixed. Great idea, but too many short comings. Example: when I want to create a DVD, I need to import/edit/export a movie in iMovie, then I need to import that movie file into iDVD (if I just open iDVD and load an iMovie project, iDVD crashes). This adds an additional step and it takes twice as long to render a movie (1/2hr clips takes 1 hr to render to file in iMovie, another hour to burn the movie to a DVD using iDVD). Clearly, this should be ONE step. If I want to index the movie, I have to import/export using Garageband, etc. In addition with the degradation of the movie quality as discussed above, I think iMovie and iDVD are more toys than serious applications. I would have expected more from Apple, to be honest.

However, when I export a movie clip to a file using "Share" -> "Export To Movie" and "Large 960x540" resolution, the picture quality of the exported movie is clearly degraded compared to the original file that was downloaded from the camera.
    According to what I read concerning this model, it is a "Standard Definition" HDD camcorder. You should expect such degradation when sharing/exporting SD content at HD resolutions. This is the same as taking a 640x480 JPEG photo and enlarging it to 960x540, printing, and then comparing your output quality with that of your original picture. Enlarging the frame size in iMovie does not add resolution detail that did not exist in your original source file.
    Does iMovie have a loss-less export function?
    No. Unlike earlier versions of iMovie, the source files (in all of their various possible compression formats) are never stored as physical clip. Instead, all content remains in its original form and is manipulated "by reference" as you assemble and edit your project and is rendered in "real time" for previewing (which is why iMovie '08 has such high CPU speed requirements). No physical file is actually created until to share/export the file and at that time all of the various possible forms of content are rendered/converted to a single compression output format preprogrammed by the application or as selected by the user. It is very likely that the "reference movie" approach used by previous versions of iMovie had to be abandoned in order to make the process more universal for all source formats iMovie is now "theoretically" able to import. Think of the time base problems created when importing MPEG-2 camcorder content which has to have separate time bases and offsets for the video to synchronize it with AC3 audio which has been converted to AIFF. Now multiply this problem for each and every track simultaneously under the "playhead" at any given instant in the timeline. On the other hand, GarageBand does have a "Full Quality" option that allows you to export your video unchanged from when it was received by GarageBand and with either the original or AIFF (iDVD "ready") edited format to disk or to iDVD for the same automatic iDVD operations you formerly enjoyed with iMovie '06.
    Example: when I want to create a DVD, I need to import/edit/export a movie in iMovie, then I need to import that movie file into iDVD (if I just open iDVD and load an iMovie project, iDVD crashes).
    iDVD is not designed to handle iMovie "Projects." An iMovie "Project" is little more than a text file listing the particular ranges of audio and video source frames, text representing titles/instructions for displaying them, and a list of transitions also mapped to a combination of applied effects and a ranges of source audio and video frames to which they are applied, etc. while iDVD is only designed to handle physical audio/video compressed data.
    The "extra" step is required to transform the "text" description of the iMovie project into a physical audio/video file which iDVD can handle. In actuality, there is little time difference between iMovie '08 and previous versions. Previous versions of iMovie required you to wait while each non-editable file was converted as part of the import process. In addition, you had to wait while each title, transition, or special effect was rendered to a physical file during the editing process. What iMovie '08 actually does is consolidate all of this instances of waiting for the various conversions, rendering, and creation of various small files into the conversion and creation of a single long file where all of your waiting is consolidated into one long period rather than all of those old short ones. Stepwise, it was never done in "ONE step." As to the use of GarageBand as a separate application, I see little difference in using it separately for the chaptering and blending/mixing/synchronization of audio and video content and the use of iDVD as a separate application for the authoring and burning of DVDs. You don't hear many complaints about this being done in a separate application.
    In addition with the degradation of the movie quality as discussed above, I think iMovie and iDVD are more toys than serious applications.
    IMHO, if you elect to "play" with these applications and not use them as they were intended or to their full capacity, then "Yes," they are little more than toys.
