Yes, I should have been more specific with my question. First, I am using Pages version 5.2. Second, when I copy and paste one document to the other, the formatting of the images and the text boxes are not where they are supposed to be. Just to clarify, Document A consists of 7 pages of regular text plus 5 images and 2 text boxes. To Document A, I create a new section (beginning on page 8) to which I add Document B, again with regular text and this time with 10 images and 4 text boxes. On first page of Document B (page 8), the 10 images and 4 text boxes are layered one on top of the other. Note that Document A remains in tact as originally formatted. Also, I formatted all the images and text boxes to 'stay on page' on the original Document B, so I didn't expect them to move with a copy and paste into another document.
Let me know if you have a solution.

Merging documents into one PDF

Hi,
I am trying to merge multiple files (MS Word, MS Excel) into one PDF document using ADS.
I saw a sample progam FP_PDF_TEST_19 which says * Merge data from a file in an existing PDF. I am trying similar to that.
I checked the ADS connection/configuration and seems to be correct. To confirm that I executed the programs FP_PDF_TEST_00 & FP_TEST_00..It is showing version number and PDF form accordingly.
When I run the program FP_PDF_TEST_19..I am getting the following exception..
System Error: com.adobe.ProcessingException: PDF is not interactive: Data can only be imported into interactive forms.
Processing exception during a "MergeData" operation.
My Question is it possible to merge multiple documents and if possible is there any configuration I am missing.
Please let me know if you require more details.

Hi,
First of all, "merging" document while using ADS consist of adding attachement to ypur form, you can really mere several document into one .
For merging document you have to give a PDF file for input and the document you want to add ( Excel, Word ... ) . The PDF document must be known by the system that means you must have define a form while using transaction SFP . If it's not the case the system can't make the merge .

It would help to know how you are scanning and the hardware used. There are just too many possibilities to answer your question as stated (if we even know the answer).

Several folder properties in one window

Hello All!
If there's one thing I really miss from Windows it's the ability to select several folders at once, right click, select properties and see the summery of all the folders (most importantly the total number of files) in one pop up window. When I try doing something like that on my iMac, I get several windows opening up for every single folder, then I have to go through the whole process of closing each and every property window which is a real pain in the 'you know what'.
So is there any way in OS X that you can select several folders and see the properties of those folders in ONE window? The reason I'm doing this is because I'm copying over thousands of photos over to my network drive and to make double sure everything was moved over, I have to check the number of all the files from the source drive have moved over to the backup drive successfully.
I appreciate (as always) any help the Mac community can give me!

After closing large documents (drawings) the window closes but the process runs still in the background. I open the next document, the same procedure and after dowing this several times the RAM is full the system becoms very slow. what can i do???

You can always shut it down manually via the Task Manager

When I am working on a captivate document and, when I am trying to open a new document in the same window, the current running document is getting closed and new document is getting opened. Why does that happens?
Are they the default settings from Captivate or something else?

Hello,
In Captivate 4 you cannot open two documents in one program window, this will be able in Captivate 5. There you'll have tabbed documents just like in Photoshop (CS4 and CS5).
However you can open the program Captivate 4 twice, and open a document in each program window. It is not so easy to copy+paste but if you arrange both windows next to each other, this works nice.

You can move a tab from one window to another by clicking on it and dragging.
If you can't see the tab bar (because you have only one tab open), then open the "Tabs" section of the Firefox preferences and select "Always show the tab bar."

I think I've accidentally marked the problem as solved, but in fact it's not.
What is needed is that the firefox remember different input methods (languages, for instance, En or Fr) for different tabs so that when I switch between several tabs I don't need to change the layout.
Chrome remembers my language settings for each tab, so it's not always one language for all the same tabs there. I haven't found such an option in Firefox so far.

Below is a copy of an 8/7/2013 email from adobe. I prepaid a one-year subscription, and, until I recently upgraded to Windows 8, I was able to make several dozens of merged pdf documents. I seem to be no longer able to use the merge feature that I had successfully and repeated used. When I search for the merge feature I end up with a request that I pay for an upgrade monthly subscription to use the merge feature.

Two R3 Systems on one Windows NT Server

Dear SDN Colleagues,
I'm starting an installation project (DEMO systems) of the Solman 4.0 and SAP ERP 2005 (ECC 6.0). I'm planning to install both systems on one Windows NT Server. About ABAP stack I know that it is possible, as such as describe in the SAP Note 28392 "Two R/3 Systems on one Windows NT Server", but wed like to know about JAVA Stack.
Is there any available SAP documentation about
installing several systems in one host?

you can install both Solman and ECC 6.0 on single NT host.
it is better to go for 64 bit windows installation. if you have 64 bit windows OS.
installation of java stack depands on your requirement.
download installation document from service.sap.com/instguides.
Guidelines: ( for example only)
1) first install SOLMAN 4.0 ABAP + JAVA stack on windows.
SID: SSM
instance number : 00
after sucessfull installation of solman perform post installation on that. and stop the SAP instance.
2) Now install ECC 6.0 ABAP instance , If you want to plan to use ESS/MSS like java based service than JAVA stack is required.
Either you can perform ABAP + JAVA stack or perform only ABAP installation and JAVA stack as separate instance.
SID: ECC
instance number : 10
if you going for JAVA stack as separate instance.
SID: J2E
instance number : 20
so as result you have total 3 System, for this more than 4GB RAM is required. ( for better perfomance)
