SG 300-10 IP's on Ports

Ok, I may be too tired to find it... My scenario is that I am deploying some SG 300's to some remote sites and will have static IP's assigned to them.  the elements that will be plugged into the SG 300's ports will be DHCP.  Is there a way to find out what IP's are assigned by port? Either by the Web GUI, the console, a log, etc?
Thanks!!

1) Do you mean SG300 as DHCP server?
2) Or Centralized DHCP server ----------SG300-------------PC/Phone?
Either case, you can see DHCP binding in DHCP server
For case 1:
Cisco Small Business 300 Series Managed Switches Command Line Interface Guide Release 1.3
53.24 show ip dhcp binding
Use the show ip dhcp binding EXEC mode command to display the specific
address binding or all the address bindings on the DHCP server.
Syntax
show ip dhcp binding [ip-address]
Parameters
ip-address —Specifies the IP address
Command Mode
EXEC mode
Examples
The following examples display the DHCP server binding address parameters.

  • Newbe question about SG300-20 dropping port to Router

    Hello to you all
    Today I received my new SG 300-20 managed switch to replace an unmanaged switch with some faulty ports.
    I want to use it in a a combined Home / Small Office environment. It is my first purchase and use of a managed switch so am still new at it.
    I come from an IT-background but more from the software side than the hardware side of things, but I feel comfortable with hardware and network things.
    I was planning to start using the switch in its most basic configuration first and gradually start learning the finer details of its configuration, with the ultimate purpose of setting up several VLANs for business, private use and media playing and to do some IPv6 experimenting.
    All my attached devices are Gigabit network capable.
    The issue is when connecting the cable to my router (an ISP provided FritzBox 7340 (an ISP version comparable to 7390) which is IPv6 capable) the SG 300-20 keeps dropping the port.
    The log show the following messages repeated 3 times:
    2147483597   2011-Mar-18 17:08:53 Warning   %LINK-W-Down: g8
    2147483598   2011-Mar-18 17:08:50 Warning   %STP-W-PORTSTATUS: g8: STP status Forwarding
    2147483599   2011-Mar-18 17:08:46 Informational   %LINK-I-Up: g8
    It doesn't matter which port I use the same thing happens each time.
    All other devices connected to the SG 300-20 just work fine.
    When I connect the router to my old switch it also just works fine.
    When I connect my old switch with router attached to the SG 300-20 it works fine and the DHCP on my router will provide the SG 300-20 with an IP-address.
    I just can't connect the router directly to the SG 300-20.
    I'm a bit at a loss of where to look for a solution.
    As I said all is still in default settings.
    Can anybody point my to a solution or way of finding out what is the problem why the port is being dropped?
    Thank you
    Alwin

    This is a gateway device.....also known as a modem/router. It combines the functions of a separate modem and router in one package.
    The Q1000 is the main router on your network, so any port forwarding (Apple calls it Port Mapping) must be done on the ActionTec device.
    The Time Capsule is in Bridge Mode. In this type of setting, all ports are automatically already open. So, there is no need to "open" a port that is already "open".
    The Time Capsule will simply pass through any information that it receives from the ActionTec gateway to other connected devices on the network.

  • Cisco 300 series switches

    hi all
    Ive looked through some of the online content but dont see a definitive answer to my question about the physical size of the switches, are they all 19" rack mountable or desktop?
    I look forward to a confirmation..

    LJ,
    P    = PoE capable. On the 300 series, half of the ports can provide 15.4W, or all can provide half that.
    PoE+ is NOT SUPPORTED.
    MP = Maximum Power. This means that all ports can provide up to 15.4W. PoE+ is supported on some models only.
    PP = PoE Plus. Can provide up to 30W on a single port. Note the maximum PoE budget for each switch. Also,
    half of the ports can provide 15.4W, or all can provide half that - any extra power used by PoE+
    MPP = Maximum Power and PoE Plus. This means that all ports can provide up to 15.4W - any extra power used by PoE+
    According to the Data Sheet:
    "Switches support 802.3at PoE+, 802.3af, and Cisco pre-standard (legacy) PoE. Maximum power of 30.0W to any 10/100 or Gigabit Ethernet port for PoE+ supported devices and 15.4W for PoE supported devices, until the PoE budget for the switch is reached"
    The PoE+ models are brand new and are not widey available yet. I did a web search for SG300-28PP and found that at least a few online resellers have it in stock.

  • UCCX - CTI Port Licensing

    Hi,
    We have a UCCX Express system consisting of 2 servers that has 60 CTI ports and is licensed for 300 IVR ports.
    Does this mean I am licensed up to 300 CTI ports? Or are the IVR ports and CTI ports licensed separately? If I wish to increase the existing number of CTI ports, or create a second group, do I have sufficient licensing?
    Thanks, James

    Hi James,
    300 licensed IVR ports are equivalent to your active (calls in CTI ports) CTI ports in use.
    So you can create 300 or even more CTI ports from the First Node of UCCX (which is replicated in the second node of UCCX) but incase of active calls in the CTI ports only 300 CTI ports can be used at any given point.
    Hope it helps.

  • CUE FL-CUE-NR-PORT-2 License

    I have purchased the ISM-SRE-300-K9= with no two port licenses. My expectation was that it ships with 2 port license, is this correct? If that is the case I do not have 4 port licenses and how do I get the FL-CUE-NR-PORT-2 activated.
    I looked at some post and it says contact [email protected], before i do that i wanted to be certain that you do get 2 port license when you purchase the ISM-SRE-300-K9=.
    Can someone confirm this?
    Thanks

    FL-CUE-NR-PORT-2 and FL-CUE-PORT-2= are marketing PID's that are not the actual licenses used on CUE.  You would need to use the PAK that comes with your CUE purchase to request the license from Cisco.

    The PC running the OPC server is connected to PLC S7-300 via the RS232 serial port and the Siemens RS232-MPI adapter (product no. 6ES7972-0CA23-0XA0).

    First of all, Thank You very much for Your answer.
    I'm using the TS Adapter that make the conversion from MPI to the serial bus.
    I have made yet control panels to supervisor systems with Omron PLCs and I correctly use the DataSocket with the DSC module: with Omron PLCs I've never had any problems of communications. The problems is now with Siemens. For the communication between control panel and PLC I have to use the internal modem of my computer and the OPC is S7_MPI of IA opc Server.I wondering if this OPC is ok for modem communications (inside there is a form to insert the phone number of the remote station) or if every kind of modem are compatible with S7-300 modem it has inside.I've noted that my computer modem don't do the phone number when i run the front panel!In running mode, if I take a look to the Block Diagram and I click the "Highlight Execution" button I don't see any animation on the code generated by the HMI Wizard to connect the only one tag to the DataSocket URL.
    Have You any other suggestions to solve the problem?

  • Cisco 300 series switches with 802.3at standard

    I'm a bit confused as to which of the 300 series switches supports the 802.3at standard. According to the website, the SG300-28P supports it. But in the quick start guide for the 300 series, only the MP models (excluding the SF302-08MP and SG300-10MP) including the SG300-52P has it. Can someone give me a difinitive answer to this? Thanks!

  • SG 300 and remote Desktop

    Greetings; I am new to the community and would appreciate some help.
    I have recently upgraded to the SG 300 managed switches and after doing so my internal remote desktop connections have stopped working - I get a dialog that says the computer can't connect to the remote computer.  I have an RVS4000 router with (2) SG-300 series switch installed on ports 1 and 2 and (2) WAP4410N access points on ports 3 and 4.  There are no problems pinging the remote machines. The only thing that has changed is the switch upgrade.
    Any insight is welcome. Thanks!

    Parker,
    Have you double checked the that there is no acl's or denying the RDP protocol port 3389 through your network.  Also is RDP still enabled on the pc?
    Just putting the switch in the mix, unless it has some type of acl's it shouldn't be blocking the ports.
    Can you get the RDP to work locally to the pc?

  • How can I pass a variable to an applet in JSP?

    I want to invoke an Applet in JSP and pass a variable( ie. port) to the Applet. I do as follows:
    <applet code="best.Applet1.class" width=400 height=300 >
    <param name=port1 value=port>
    </applet>
    in Applet1.java , I use getParameter("port1"),yet I got character string "port" ,not the value of port(i.e. 100).
    How can I get 100 not "port"? Thanks!!!

    Assuming that port is a variable defined and initailized in the jsp:
    <applet code="best.Applet1.class" width=400 height=300 >
    <param name=port1 value=<%= port %>>
    </applet>

  • SAPConnect to Send Emails to external mail address

    I am trying to send email from SAP to an external email address.
    I've configured in SCOT the mail server and it respective port.
    When I tried to send a test message, the message failed in the queue with the log:
    "Cannot process message in SAP System - No ESMTP Plug-In Is Available for SAPconnect
    Application Server Used by the Send Process:
    S21TDI05
    (Schedule Send Process on App.Server with Plug-In)
    Upon checking the sap documentation, I encounter there's also a SMTP Service in "SMICM" as well. Inside there I can see that the SMTP setting is not activate and no values has been entered.
    Are these 2 connected?
    Advices are welcome.
    Thanks,
    Regards,
    Wooi Chian.

    This error message means that your SMTP plug-in is not active. Go to TR: SMICM -> GOTO -> SERVICES
    Here you must see that the SMTP plug in is active.
    This error usally due to bind error. The port wich had to be used is used by an other service.
    Check if below mentioned parameters are set.
    rdisp/start_icman = true
    icm/server_port_0 = PROT=HTTP,PORT=1080
    icm/server_port_1 = PROT=SMTP,PORT=25$$, TIMEOUT=60, PROCTIMEOUT=300
    icm/server_port_2 = HTTPS,PORT=82$$, TIMEOUT=60, PROCTIMEOUT=300
    and restart ICM . You should see SMTP service on SMICM transaction.
    In my case problem was with the below parameters. PORT=HTTPS was assigned to server_port_1. I swapped the values of both the parameters icm/server_port_1 and icm/server_port_3. Only after that SMTP service started being visible under DISPLAY --> Services.
    icm/server_port_0                           PROT=HTTP,PORT=80$$, TIMEOUT=60, PROCTIMEOUT=300
    icm/server_port_1                           PROT=HTTPS,PORT=82$$, TIMEOUT=60, PROCTIMEOUT=300
    icm/server_port_3                           PROT=SMTP,PORT=25$$, TIMEOUT=60, PROCTIMEOUT=300
    Hope this helps solve the issue.

    Hi Srini,
    Assuming you are using a dedicated connection string follow the steps below.
    Please assign points if this helps.
    Regards
    Daniel
    Create new system in system landscape editor using;
    SAP_R3_Dedicated option,
    Assign system details to iView,
    Click finish then open object for editing,
    Change property category to connection,
    Enter application host details (use FQDN),
    Enter Client (300),
    Logical System Name,
    Server Port(3200),
    Save,
    Now select UserManagment,
    Enter User\Admin pwd details,
    Save,
    Now select Edit "System Alias" option,
    Enter a system alias.
    You can test this through System Administration>Support>SAP Applications>SAP Transaction
    or you can create a new iView in Portal Content that utilises the System via the alias.
    Note - be sure to enter the correct usermapping details!

  • Using Web Service from LiveCycle PDF Dynamic Form.

    I have developed Staff Attendance Sheet about 7 years ago using Microsoft Office Web Componenets Data Access Pages (OWC DAP).
    See image below of the current report using OWC DAP:
    http://bit.ly/cAfeYs
    Since we are moving our legacy systems to SAP, this report will have to be re-implemented using Adobe LiveCycle PDF which is connecting to Web Service over SAP Systems (since OWC does not connect to Web Service).
    The SAP development team have developed the initial webservice which generates the required data.
    I have developed the initial version of the LiveCycle PDF, which can be downloaded from this link:
    http://bit.ly/9KBgm0
    The following is a screen snapshot of the LC Desinger Form:http://bit.ly/cxMK62
    When the web service is executed from inside PDF the result looks as follows:
    http://bit.ly/cacbCg
    The webservice accepts the following required parameters:
    1. Period: YYYYMM. User Specified Value.
    2. Staff ID: 9999999. It must be supplied automatcially to the web service and it must be the Windows ID of the User Logged In to Windows
    Domain.
    Other parameters are optional.
    Assumptions:
    ==========
    1. I am not using any Adobe Forms Server Technology. I can use LiveCycle Desinger ES2 and LiveCycle Reader Extensions Server.
    2. I can alse develop using .NET to get the Logged In User ID (Windows), generate the XDP from ASPX Page and attach the XML to the XDP.
    3. We are using IE8 with Adobe Reader 9 Plugin (IE add-on) to display LiveCycle PDF inside IE.
    Questions:
    ========
    1. First time the webservice is executed, I will get a prompt to allow/deny execution of the webservice. This is a security issue here, becuase we do not want any user to know the link to the Web Service. How we can hide the link to the webservice and prevent any user from getting the link ?
    2. How I can stop the Prompt to Allow/Deny execution to the Web Service for good ? As you know, users will get confused, and when we launch this PDF, it will generate a lot of calls to the Service Desk (more than 1000 users).
    3. The Web Service uses Simple User Name/Password for authentication to run the webservice. I need to embed the User Name/Password inside
    the PDF, and also prevent any user for getting them, how ?
    4. I want to send the Staff ID Parameter to the Web Service Automatically which is the Logged In User ID (Windows). This is the same value of the "Login Name" which can be accessed using Acrobat JavaScript. But the problem, this script must be trusted, and it will be a long story. Any ideas how to implement this requirement using simple methods ?
    5. If I manage to send the Staff ID Parameter to the Webservice automatically (Logged In User ID), also, I want to prevent the user from sending a different user ID, ie, prevent him from using Import Data to Form to specify a Different User ID for the Webservice Parameter. How ?
    I appreciate your help if you have any ideas about the above.
    Tarek.

    Hi Tarek,
    First of all, Thank for your replying.
    I have developing Adobe LiveCycle xdp form with a button. The SAP Web Service will be called when the button is pressed.
    Before that, I ‘m able to call another ASP.NET web services by using SOAP.request call. However, when I apply the code to call SAP web service, it doesn’t work. I checked that the web service is valid. And I found that there is something wrong when implementing the SOAP.request call. But I have no idea what wrong is it. So, I beg your help
    The following is the code in the click event of the button:
    //mainData.sfMain.Button7[1]::click - (JavaScript, client)

  • Using Conky with multiple MPD servers

    Hello gang.  I have 3 MPD servers that I connect to from my laptop (one is running on my laptop, 2 are on remote servers), and I'd like to have Conky report "now playing" info from whichever one is active at any given moment.  My issue is with dynamically identifying the host/port within Conky.
    I have a Python script that returns the host and port of the active MPD server, which is called like this:
    $ python MpdInfoHandler.py -host
    this.is.myhost
    $ python MpdInfoHandler.py -port
    6600
    So, I tried putting this in my conkyrc:
    mpd_host ${execi 300 python /pathtoscript/MpdInfoHandler.py -host}
    mpd_port ${execi 300 python /pathtoscript/MpdInfoHandler.py -port}
    This doesn't work - Conky seems to interpret the host and port as the actual strings appearing on each line.  So, my question is: is there a way to assign the output of the script calls to "mpd_host" and "mpd_port"?  Or does this only work when dealing with stuff underneath the "TEXT" section in conkyrc?
    Thanks all

  • Loading an applet in tomcat 4.x

    Hi,
    I have been reading the forums for a while trying to find an explanation to the problem I am having with no success.
    The problem is that I have an applet that has a dynamic number of parameters. The number of parameters is determined by the contents of an application bean which is part of the environment.
    The problem is that I can't get the applet to work using the <applet> tag. It seems that no matter what I set the codebase parameter to, I always get the dreaded "ClassDefNotFound Exception: FacilityApplet" in IE 6.0 or "ClassFormatError: Bad Major Version Number" exception in Netscape 4.79.
    I am using JDK 1.4_0_01 and Tomcat 4.1.12 and my application (oam), context is organized as follows:
    webapps/
    oam
    WEB-INF
    classes
    lib
    applets
    facility
    jsp
    html
    index.html
    I have jarred the applet into a file called FacilityApplet.jar and stored it into the oam/applets/facility directory. The contents of the jar file follows:
    META-INF/
    META-INF/MANIFEST.MF
    FacilityApplet.class
    common/DataEvent.class
    common/Facility.class
    common/Link.class
    DialogBox/
    DialogBox/DialogBox$CloseDialog.class
    DialogBox/DialogBox$CloseWindow.class
    DialogBox/DialogBox.class
    The following is the contents of my jsp page that attempts to load the applet.
    <html>
    <head>
    <!-- Ensure the HTTP Server Does Not Save this Page in Cache -->
    <meta HTTP-EQUIV=Pragma CONTENT=no-cache >
    <title> Status Page </title>
    </head>
    <%@ page import="javaBeans.SettingsBean" %>
    <jsp:useBean id="settings" class="SettingsBean" scope="application" />
    <body BGCOLOR="honeydew" LINK="Blue" TEXT="black" VLINK="Red">
    <h1>
    Application Status
    </h1>
    <%
    // Make sure we have a good bean to work with
    if (settings.getTotalFacilities() != 0) {
    %>
    <applet
    archive="FacilityApplet.jar"
    codebase="http://localhost:8080/oam/applets/facility"
    code="FacilityApplet.class"
    width="300" height="150" >
    <param name="PORT" value="8939" >
    <%
    for (int i = 0;i < settings.getTotalFacilities();i++) {
    %>
    <param name="FAC_<%= i %>" value="<%= settings.getFacilityName(i) %>">
    <param name="STATE_<%= i %>"
    value="<%= settings.getFacility(i).getState() %>">
    <% } %>
    </applet>
    <% }
    else {
    %>
    <h2 align="center"> No Facilities to Display </h2>
    <% } %>
    </body>
    </html>
    Here are the values for codebase that I have tried so far:
    codebase="<%= request.getContextPath() %>/applets/facility"
    codebase="http:localhost:8080/oam/applets/facility"
    codebase="../applets/facility"
    I also expanded the jar file under the applets/facility directory with the same results. I also copied all the class files in the same directory as my jsp file, codebase="facility", with the same results.
    Now, if I use the <jsp:plugin> tag the applet loads with no problems using codebase="<%= request.getContextPath() %>/applets/facility", but that does not allow me to set my applet parameters dynamically. It works fine if I hardcode my parameters inside the <jsp:param> tag. However, I can explain this since it will require the JSP compiler to do multiple passes over the source code, and I don't think it does that.
    My PC has the latest version of the JRE plugin 1.4.X.
    Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Folks,
    I hate to follow up my own posting but I figured out the problem. My browser was using its own JVM, which of course was an old one.
    Sorry to waste these resources

  • Aironet 1252 with catalyst 2960-8TC-L & router 1841 compatibilty

    Hi,
    First are they togther a good combination?
    I'm going to buy new ap 1252 and catalyst switch 2960-8TC-L my question can I connect the ap to port 1x10/100/1000Base-T/SFP (mini-GBIC)(uplink)?
    because to work on ap with full capacity 300 mbps it needs 1000 port, for powering ap I'll use powerinjector .
    this will sereve 15 pc as a workgroup and 60 clients on wlan.
    Regards
    saher

    Depending on what kind of traffic and bandwidth requirements the clients require, you might need a couple more ap's which means you might have to settle for a 24 port switch. Cisco recommends 15 - 25 users per so, but again, you can have more if it's just email and web browsing.
