SGE - Failed To Execute openmp parallel job
Hi, I'm having problems executing a simple parallel openmp job.
The job is scheduled and gets stuck in the 't' state, afterwards the sgeexecd falls. I already tried changing the allocation_rule but nothing chaged.
I have no idea what could be, i google it but couldn't find anything, even reinstalled everything.
Here is the exec messages:

XMLQuery fails when executed as a job
Hi all,
I build a query that checks the data server connections, using the string
server://XMII/Illuminator?Service=SystemInfo&Mode=Status&Content-Type=text/xml
The query works fine by itself and executed in a BLS. However, when I schedule the BLS, NetWeaver Log shows an error:
Error Processing XMLQuery A remote host refused an attempted connect operation
...ACTION FAILED: End Action XML_listConnectStatus : (XML Query)
I tried to supply user and pw to the job, or pass it as parameter to the query, but the error remains. I also tried to use the "http...<server>:<port>" prefix instead of "server", but the error does not disappear. What is the difference when calling it from workbench or as a job?
MichaelRick,
that solved it.
I used the following:
- TAG query
- Simulator as Data Server
- save query without further settings
- define a BLS with this TAG query
- Link Mode=Status and Service=SystemInfo
The result set is a XML which can be processed.
Thanks and Merry Christmas.

Failed to execute program in job
Hi,
I am trying to run a Job but i get the following error
Function call .
I run md
192.168.142.72XSIGACREJ20100902 directly and it let me create the directory.
What is wrong with this? Can someone help me?
Best Regards
João FernandesNormally the program objects will run on the BOBJ server at OS level using the same credentials that are used to run the BOBJ services. You can find out which user is used in WIndows if you start the Central COnfiguration Manager utility on the BOBJ server and heck the Log on as area in the properties of your SIA (assuming you are using BO XI 3.1)
From the log information it seems BOBJ services run using the local system account. THis account probably does not have access to the remote directory. You have to try schedule this object in the CMC. YOu provide there a username and password of an OS user, who has access to the remote directory.

Excel Import Fails in SQL Server Agent Job but not when executed in BIDS
We have a SQL Server agent job that has ran successfully for the past 6 months. It started failing about a week ago. I don't believe anyone installed anything on the server. The proxy account used to run the job is an admin on the server.
I've tried everything I can think of or that I found on searches. I even changed the connection manager from an Excel source to using an Microsoft office 12.0 Access Database Engine OLEDB connection and it still runs in BIDs and not as an agent job.
I also setup my LANID as a proxy account to see if the job would run (checking security) -- and it fails with the same error. I also made sure the path is
\\server\share rather than a drive letter. Any ideas?
The package is executed in 32 bit mode. The package still runs fine in BIDS (where BIDs is opened on the server) but fails in the SQL Agent job with:

I wanted to see if it was a security issue with the agent account account - but
this ran fine.
I then updated the SQL Agent job to use an operating system command instead
of a SSIS package on the job step. This fails...
The issue is definately with the SQL Server Agent -
Dear Forum Members,
I have an SSIS running perfectly when i run it in Visual Studio Shell. I have organized it into a job which runs well on SQL Server agent at intervals.
However, suddenly, i started having this error as stated in the title. Please find details of the error below and kindly help resolve it ASAP.

Based on your description and the error message, it should be a timeout issue when the ADO .NET Source connects to the source database. So, please refer to the following two suggestions:
Double click on the ADO .NET Connection Manager, click the All tab, and set the “Connect Timeout” property to a bigger value. By default, it is 15 seconds.
Increase the DefaultBufferSize value of the Data Flow Task. By default, the DefaultBufferSize is 10 (MB), you can increase it to a value that is less than 100 (MB).
Thanks,

Execution of a batch file within SSIS fails in Sql Server Agent Job
Hi All,
I have an SSIS Package, which simply runs a batch file , the code for the batch file is
MOVE \\cambosnapp01\Claims\Analytics\NICB\CurrentAlerts\* \\cambosnapp01\Claims\Analytics\NICB\AlertsArchive
If i run the SSIS package manually it runs fine and moves all the files, however if i run the package through a Sql Agent Job it fails with the following error
The directory "\\Cambosnapp01\Claims\Analytics\NICB" does not exist
This is where the batch file is located, i am not able to understand if the SSIS package is running fine then why not the sql agent job?
I also tried to create a sql agent job using Operating System(CmdExec) and i copied my batch file code in the command i am running it as SQL Server Agent Service Account , and here it fails as
Executed as user: CAMELOT\svcDW. Access is denied. Process Exit Code 1. The step failed
Does this mean this user doesnt have the rights to excute a batch file? how did this user even come up i am not running it from this user i am running it from SQL Server Agent Service Account . I dont know who is that user and if he even has the rights to
execute a batch file.
Can someone please help me with any solution for this? either first way or second way anything works fine for me.
ThanksHi SQLDEV,
According to your description, you are experiencing the issue "The directory "\\Cambosnapp01\Claims\Analytics\NICB" does not exist" when run the SSIS package
in SSMS by using SQL Server Agent, right?
In your scenario, since you can run the package in SSDT manually. So as per my understanding, the issue can be caused by that the Services Account of your SQL Server Agent do not have the permission on that folder. To avoid this issue, you can set the folder
permission for your SQL Server Agent account or change the services account to an account who have the corresponding permission. Please refer to the link below to see the details.

hi,
We have deployed Sharepoint 2013 in hosting mode. And i followed this
guide. And i have 1 web server, 1 app server and 1 DB server. My Application server is logging 2 critical event after every 15 min.
Event ID: 1502, Task Category: Timer Job, Source: SharePoint Translation Services
"Timer job '735da5fd-a74a-46b8-9a75-70e85d125eb2' for service application 'Translation Service Application' is failing to execute. More information is included below.

Followed by this one one more critical event,
Event ID: 6398, Task Category: Timer , Source: SharePoint Foundation
"The Execute method of job definition Microsoft.Office.TranslationServices.QueueJob (ID 735da5fd-a74a-46b8-9a75-70e85d125eb2) threw an exception. More information is included below.
Object reference not set to an instance of an object."
I tried to search everywhere, but no solution. Because of this two critical events AppFabricCaching service is also crashing.
Any suggestion how i can fix this?
SaMHi SaM,
According to your error message, it says that the Timer job '735da5fd-a74a-46b8-9a75-70e85d125eb2' for service application 'Translation Service Application' fail to create due to some referred object cannot
be found. For this issue, it can be caused by missing assembly .
Could you please provide detail error message of ULS log to determine the exact cause of the error?
For SharePoint 2013, by default, ULS log is at
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\15\LOGS
Here is a blog you can have a look:

Load Distribution Versus Parallel Jobs processing
Hello,
I would request feedback.
In Industry Solutions - PS, for mass activity - Automatic Clearing run, there is an Technical Settings tab.
This tab has Load distribution settings and an value that can be defined for Number of Jobs.
If I put an value greater than 1, so many number of jobs gets executed in the background.
I would request clarification on the following :
1. What is its use / benefits of putting defining an automatic load distribution ?
2. Does this setting equals the Config settings for IMG - Finnancial Accounting- Contract AR - Technical Settings - Prepare Mass.
In here, we can set parallel jobs that can be initiated by providing an maximum number of jobs under the job control panel.
Does this setting override Load distribution settings or vice-versa OR IS this an different setting ?
3. What is the difference between Load distribution versus parallel Jobs ?
Any feedback, most welcome and appreciated.
I am functional consultant and hence unable to distinguish between the two.
I am not sure if this query needs to be posted here, but I have also posted the same in IS fourm too.
Regards
Bala
email : [email protected]Hi Bala,
In any Mass Activity you will find Technical Settings tab. There you will find Parallel Processing Object and Load Distribution. In Parallel Processing Object, you can select object according to Input depending upon which you will able to divide the job. For example, GPART is used when job have to divide depending upon Business partner. In Maintain Variants you have to create Variants. You have to give Variant name and value in either Interval length or Number of Intervals. Interval length will decide what is the maximum number of object will be processed in a single part. Number of Interval is the number which tells job will be divided in how many parallel process.
For example, let you r running a parallel process for 1000 Business Partner. You choose GPART as object. Now if you put 200 in interval length it will divide job in 5 parallel process. If you put 10 in number of interval it will divide the job in 10 parallel process each of 100 Business partner.
After creating variant, you use it in technical setting.
Let u already define variants which divide the job in 30 but you want maximum number of parallel process will be executed at a time is 6.Then put 6 in Number of jobs field in automatic load distribution.
Hope this can able to clear your question. Still if have any doubt feel free to ask me.
Thanks and regards,

Billing Set up - Parallel jobs and size of set up table
Hello All,
I want to do a billing (13) set up using comp code, sales org and document number range as selection criteria.
Would it be okay to to run jobs in parallel. I will be setting up jobs for different variants containing different document ranges. Would there be a conflict in running parallel jobs if they belong to same company codes/ sales org?
Q.2 Is there a limit to which we can fill up the set up table and will need to empty it after transferring the data into BI?
Thanks!
Edited by: BI Quest on Oct 7, 2009 6:22 PMYou can run multiple concurrent setup jobs without an issue. I'd recommend that you only execute 4 concurrently, however, unless you have a huge amount of memory on your source R3/ECC server(s). If you're using the Billing Document as part of the selection criteria, there shouldn't be a conflict. In fact, if you're using Billing Document as the selection criteria for your multiple setups, the Company Code and Sales Org designations really aren't necessary, unless the Billing Document numbering in your source R3/ECC environment has been configured to number based on Company Code and/or Sales Org, whereby you could have duplicate Billing Document numbers and the way to distinguish between them is to further qualify by Company Code and/or Sales Org.

Primary active fails it do not transfers jobs to secondary active
Hi Team,
I have a scenario, installed SQL 2012 EE Always on.
I'm trying to configure log-ship with listener IP. Whenever primary active fails it do not transfers jobs to secondary active (replica). Primary and secondary active are bind by a listener IP.
Thank you in advance.Hi,
Did the LSCopy job fail with any error message?
Please check the error message in the Log Shipping job history and it will give us more information of why the job was not executed.
LSbackup_<dbname> on the primary server instance.

Query to Report on Parallel Jobs Running
Morning!
I would like to get a query that reports on my parallel jobs.
For each minute that a procedure is running I would like to know what stages are running.
I log the whole procedure in a table called run_details and the start and end of each stage in a table called incident.
I'm running Oracle 9i
Here is some sample data based on 2 threads Expected output at the bottom
SQL>CREATE TABLE run_details

Thank you for your time.> Ideally I'd like this to work for n-threads, as I want this to run on
different environments that have different numbers of CPUs.
The number of CPUs are not always a good indication of the processing load that a platform can take - especially when the processing load involves a lot of I/O.
You can have 99% CPU idle time with a 1000 active processes... as that idle time is in fact CPU time spend waiting on I/O completion. Courtesy of a severely strained I/O channel that is the bottleneck.
Another factor is memory (resources). You for example have 4 CPUs with 8GB physical memory.. where a single process (typically a Java VM for a complex process) grabs a huge amount of memory. Assuming that 4 threads/CPU or 1 threads/CPU can be a severe overestimate due to the amount of memory needed. Getting this wrong leads in turn to excessive virtual memory paging and reduces the platform's performance drastically.
CPU alone is a very poor choice when deciding on the platform's capacity to run parallel processes. -

Jyoti NayakHi,
Ya i checked the data for same table, but i didn't get any XREF related information in xref_data table.
Did you mean that, data should already present under AIAFPINST_XREF.Probably xref is meant for storing dynamic value.
Please check the above error and reply me soon.

I have tried changing the "DataSourceMode" as below, now the insert command is working, but update command is not working.
<SharePoint:SPDataSource runat="server" DataSourceMode="ListItem" />
Also, the lookup dropdown fields are displaying the value as "<a href="Daughterhttp://cpsp10/sites/Employees/_layouts/listform.aspx?PageType=4&ListId={8F62F444-FB6A-4F03-9522-C4696B45DCD1}&ID=10&RootFolder=*">Daughter</a>"
instead of only "Daughter".
Please provide the solution to get rid of this issue.
Thanks

While there can be many causes for this generic error message, in my case the first parameter or ddwrt:DataBind function inside the SharePoint:FormFields element was
'i' and I was working with an Edit Form. Changing it to
'u' as it was with every other FormField fixed the issue.
<SharePoint:FormField runat="server" id="ff1{$Pos}" ControlMode="Edit" FieldName="Esittaja" __designer:bind="{ddwrt:DataBind('u',concat('ff1',$Pos),'Value','ValueChanged','ID',ddwrt:EscapeDelims(string(@ID)),'@Esittaja')}"
/>
Explanation:
DataBind operation type parameters (the first parameter) are listed below:
'i' stands for INSERT,
'u' stands for UPDATE,
'd' stands for DELETE.

What's it gonna be: NW2004S?
Dear all, Within SAP's strategy to deliver products (PAM) I recently saw a version called NW2004S. I am wondering what kind of differences are between 2004 and 2004S. Topics I'd like to know are: - Guided procedures (CAF 2.0) available? - Adobe inter
