SharePoint 2013 Infopath Web Service Get File within list permissions

Hello,
I am looking for a web service to pull a form within a form libraries permissions.  So a user creates a form and requests access for him/herself and whomever he/she wants to have access to the form, I then go to file share with and grant only these
people access.  lets say I now have 2000 forms and and I want a column that says these people have been granted access to this file instead of clicking each file going to properties and checking share with permissions.  What web call would I use
for this, been searching and keep finding how to share with people instructions and now how to use a web service to pull the names.

Hi Ahmed,
Please go to task list page and click customize form, then publish it in the InfoPath form designer.
Now add a new page in SharePoint site, insert task list web part, then insert an InfoPath form web part. Click the triangle on the top right corner > Edit web part > Connections > Get form from, see if you could select task now.

  • Sharepoint 2013 - InfoPath Web Part Errors

There may be a better way to accomplish what I'm doing so I will explain the idea first.  I'm putting together a PMO Sharepoint Site which contains drill down project information from 4 groups to over 500 projects.  I would like to display the
data in a more dynamic way than just in lists so I am attempting to use an InfoPath form to display dynamic data in a more friendly text view.
After creating a form view in InfoPath 2010, I loaded it into Sharepoint 2013.  I went through "Connections" and selected "Get Form From" and chose a web part list.  After choosing the view and saving I receive this error.  Sometimes
it saves correctly but when I go back to edit the web part this error appears.

This has been answered for SP 2010 at SP:SO. Things wont change much in SP 2013 as far as VWP is concerned. Basically you will need to implement Custom Web Part Editor.

  • SharePoint 2013: Infopath browser form "get form from" option greyed out

In a web part page, I was able to add an app/list web part and an InfoPath web part, where the latter is setup with a "Get Form From" data connection with the former.
Now I was trying to do the same within the edit page of the tasks list, as I was aiming to allow the user to edit the item related to the task and to approve the task from the same page. I can add the two web parts. However, the "Get Form From"
data connection is not available in this case. What do I need to do to make it so?
    Thanks.

    Hi Ahmed,
Please go to task list page and click customize form, then publish it in the InfoPath form designer.
Now add a new page in SharePoint site, insert task list web part, then insert an InfoPath form web part. Click the triangle on the top right corner > Edit web part > Connections > Get form from, see if you could select task now.

  • Infopath 2013 SOAP Web Service Data Connection - Error: The file is not a valid XML file

Here are the steps to replicate the issue I’m having when adding lists.asmx or any other SharePoint web service in InfoPath 2013. This web service opens fine in the browser from my desktop. My account is a farm administrator and is added to the
web application’s User Policy.  I can use these services just fine using Nintex 2013 Workflow.
    Open InfoPath Designer 2013.
Select Blank Form and click Design Form button.
    Click “Data” tab.
Click “From Web Service” and select “From SOAP Web Service”
Enter https://mysiteurl.com/_vti_bin/lists.asmx?WSDL for the web service definition.
    Click Next.
    Windows Security window pops up.
Enter a credential. I tried both my account and the farm account. My account is a farm admin and is added to the web application’s User Policy with Full Control.
Click OK. It prompts for credential multiple times.
I get below this error messages:
    Sorry, we couldn't open https://mysiteurl.com/_vti_bin/lists.asmx?WSDL
InfoPath cannot find or cannot access the specified Web Service description.
The file is not a valid XML file.
Not enough storage is available to process this command.
We have a project that is in need of these services using InfoPath so any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hi Brian_TX,
For your issue, try to the following methods:
Change your service binding in web.config to:binding="basicHttpBinding". It seems in VS it defaults to wsHttpBinding.
Replace all instances of "parameters" from the web service wsdl with the name "parameter"
There are some similar articles about the issue, you can have a look at them:

  • (261936172) Q general Where are the Web Service source files?

Q <general> Where are the source files for a Web Service created
with WebLogic Workshop stored? How do I deploy the Web Service
on a different WebLogic Server? Is there a way to bundle the
Web Service project files manually to distribute them?
Is there a way to configure the directory where Workshop stores
    the files?
ANSWER: (by Adam Fitzgerald, [email protected]) The .jws files are stored
in the project folder. This can be located on a local system, although by default
they are in c:\bea\wlserver700b\sample\workshop\applications. The Web Service
structure is understood by WLS 7.0 so by archiving the appropriate folder you
can transfer the Web Service in its entirety from one deployment to another.

    Hi Dean,
In SharePoint 2013 Designer, the help files are online. They provide tons of general information regarding SharePoint Designer 2013.  You can also find help files at:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj219638%28office.15%29.aspx .
And find a great set of information on SPD 2013 and the new Workflow architecture here:

  • Crawl log error in sharepoint 2013 for search services

    Dear Support,
please find below mention crawl log error in sharepoint 2013 for search services.
8,597 The server is unavailable and could not be accessed. The server is probably disconnected from the network.
423 This item could not be crawled because the repository did not respond within the specified timeout period. Try to crawl the repository at a later time, or increase the timeout value on the Proxy and Timeout page in search administration. You might also
want to crawl this repository during off-peak usage times.
59 Processing this item failed because of a timeout when parsing its contents.
11 The filtering process has been terminated

3 The crawler could not communicate with the server. Check that the server is available and that the firewall access is configured correctly.
2 The crawler could not communicate with the server. Check that the server is available and that the firewall access is configured correctly. If the repository was temporarily unavailable, an incremental crawl will fix this error.
would request your support for resolving this type of issue

    1. Are you able to browse the sites on SP server. server is unavailable means that application pool
of that site is down. Check application pool on all server. if you start any application pool. make sure it does not stop few minutes later. you need to update password if it does stop
    2. Create a disable loopbackcheck of registry on all servers

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/926642/en-us
    3. Create a new search service application and check if you face same issue.
    4. I assume you have change some password or other setting when you started facing this issue. what changes were made in environment

  • Dashboards web service config file set up

I am new to dashboards and want to understand, how do we make a web service connection to the dashboard?
We previously had the web services set up and never got a chance to set it up, but now there is a need to set it up in our own machines.
The issue exactly being faced right now is:
we tried setting up the web service config file and it works when we execute it ( i.e. I get a URL) but it comes as
    http://localhost:2910/QueryService.asmx
which we tried using as  " http://localhost:2910/QueryService.asmx?wsdl " in the dashboard connection manager and i am able to get the methods (runSQLQuery etc).
When trying to see the dashboard in the bo Infoview, we get the below error:
To access external data, add a Cross Domain policy file  to the external data web server.
Please help me in understanding the issue and significance of all these things.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Khushboo

First of all change localhost to proper host name or IP address in connection.
You need to place crossdomain policy file in the root of the web server. Please check this for details:

  • Merging web-services.xml files

    Good day,
Is there an easier way to merge a custom web-services.xml file with the
one generated by servicegen? It makes it very difficult to have a clean
build when you have to go in and edit the web-services.xml to add your
    own types.
    Thanks,

This is no good tool to merge web-services.xml.
You can run servicegen once and get the web-services.xml file, then modify
    it as you need.
In your automatic build process, run autotype, then use wspackag to package
    your customized web-services.xml.
