SharePoint 2013 State Machine Workflow Developped using Visual Studio 2013 Terminated

Hi all,
I developped a state machine workflow using Visual Studio 2013, and deplyed to SharePoint 2013, the workflow work fine for first task, and some times for second task.
after that the workflow become terminated with below error:
- System.Activities.Statements.WorkflowTerminatedException: The workflow instance exceeded the throttle of 10000 activities executed in a row and could not be unloaded because it was not persistable.
I spent many days to solve this issue but witout any result...

Hi,
According to your description, there seems an endless loop in your workflow which makes the workflow exceed the throttle.
A suggestion is that you can create a new clean sample state machine workflow firstly, when it works without error, then adding other activities with custom logic
gradually.
By doing this, it would be easier to find out what might cause the error in this workflow.

I have a customer who is using a custom skinned site developed in Sharepoint 2010.
I am trying to debug a webpart that is not loading on a page.
My Environment:
Local Laptop running Win 7 64 Enterprise, Visual Studio 2013, and Sharepoint Designer 2010.
I connect to the customers network via VPN and use RDP to access the server. I have Admin rights to the server.
Everything that I have read indicates that Web Part dev has to be done in VS. When I try to connect using server explorer, VS kicks back a 'Server Can not be found' error.
I have tried using the computer name, the app url listed in SP Central Admin, the IP address of the box, and the actual URL of the site. However, VS can not connect to the server.

The last connection article is confusing because one of the SO answers indicates that you do not need to have SP2010 installed.
I have been doing lots of reading on SP structure, and it seems to jump all over the place. (Or at least my research does). I have been reading this Ebook:

My questions are:
Why cant I connect to the Server if I connected through VPN which would inherently make the server a local network computer?
Do I need to have VS installed on the actual server? I read that I can install Sharepoint Foundation locally and this will give me access to the server in VS.
Do I need to have the full version of VS installed in order to use Remote Tools?
For the Web Parts:
Why cant I see the web parts in Sharepoint Designer? I take it they are exclusively designed in VS, which brings me back to the questions above.
In Sharepoint Designer, I can see a custom view that was created from a custom list. I want to add that list to the page where the web part isnt working. When I open up the Edit Interface, and try to find that list, it does not display in the 'Lists and Libraries'

As per your description, remote deployment is not possible for server side code in sharepoint so if you are using server object model then you won't be able to debug or deploy your solution from visual studio.
VS is not required to installed on UAT/prod server but you need sharepoint along with visual studio in same development machine to develop any custom webpart.
Once you deploy your custom webpart on site then you will be able to see that webpart in webpart gallery and that gallery is also available in designer so it means you can also add your custom webpart from designer to any page.

How to create a three state approval workflow in SharePoint 2013 using visual studio 2013

Hi Everyone,
i have a requirement like 3 state to approve. Here is the details:- when the item added into the list it will go for reviewer. Once the reviewer review the item, he will assign the task to concern person/department(Parallel process more than two persons).
Once they will approve the request again it will come back to reviewer and he will assign the task to team member(parallel process). Once the team member accepted then workflow terminate.
i want develop this workflow using visual studio 2013 only, not using designer..

How to REpublish Custom Task Forms (InfoPath) to SharePoint 2010 State Machine Workflows

I am new to SharePoint. Sorry if answer to my question is obvious.
I've create Custom Task Form in InfoPath and publish it (File/Publish/Network Location [Form Template Path and filename='MYPROJECT/Forms/ApprovalForm.xsn'; Form template name='ApprovalForm'], in the next window I've cleared Public URL according to the articlehttp://www.codeproject.com/Articles/195348/SharePoint-2010-State-Machine-Workflows-with-Custo).
After it I've added module Forms, and added ApprovalForm.xsn from the existing items.

My form work fine, but when I make changes and republish it, it doesn't update (I see old form). What I tryed:
IISReset
Clear all cookies and cache in IE
Retract solution, restart VS2010, reboot computer.
Change assembly number, guid.
I have no ideas, what can I try for republish my form with changes.

PS: sorry for my writing. English is not my native language.
PPS: when I save new Form to new location and add it to the project, it works.

I've found how can I republish changes. But it seems more like crutch than solution, but it works:
After republishing InfoPath form, I delete file from project (DEL on ApprovalForm.xsn in Solution explorer) and after it add it again. (Add/Existing Item). And then redeploy! Hurray!
Is there any way to redeploy a Task Form directly on the server without importing it in Visual Studio again? I am using some data connections in my task form which are different for different environments (staging, dev. etc.). Seems like I've to create a separate
Workflow WSP file for each envrionment. Any comments?

Create office app for word using visual studio 2013

i tried to create an app for office using visual studio 2013 i just created one in task pane with all default settings and then deployed succesffully and i can't find the app in task pane in word office any ideas

Please try to enable a build-in app for Office, such as "Bing dictionary" and check if the task pane pop-up.
If the "Bing dictionary" works well, I suppose that this issue might be caused by itself. I recommend you post the question to Word for DEV forum:

If all the apps can't be used, they might be blocked. Please go to File/option/trust center/trusted app catalogs/enable it.

Finding Memory leaks in C using Visual Studio 2013

I am using Visual Studio 2013, and taking a course in C programming and we started
talking about memory bugs detaction, in particular memory leaks, and how to detect them using Valgrind on Linux.
I want to know if there is a way to detect such memory leaks using VS 2013. I tried searching online but it just leads to lots of articles and blogs and msdn posts and blogs with lots of words like dump files, and analyzing them, etc which is weird
because:
1) It sounds so complex, convoluted and unintuitive it is actually hard to comprehend it.
2) The main reason this is weird is due to the fact that VS is the most advanced IDE around and Microsoft spends so much money on in, yet from what I have read it seems that there is no simple way to use VS to detect memory leaks
- certainly no way that's as simple as Valgrind where I only have to compile the program and run the command valgrind -leaks-check=yes ProgramName
and it simply prints to me all location it thinks there is a memory leak and describes the error (like not freeing memory after allocating it with malloc hence having "dead" memory after the program finishes, or accessing memory that's out of
the array bounds)
So my question is how to use VS 2013 in order to achieve the same results and to find out First in high level if there are memory leaks in the program, and Second - to detect in a simple manner where those leaks are- preferably without involving dump files
(not that I know how to use them anyway in VS).

tool to find the memory leak for Visual C/ C++ program.

I have a small problem. In my initform.aspx for my SP 2013 workflow I have a people editor element so that users can select multiple users (reviewers). I successfully used jquery to get the login-names. I want to use these names for a composite task in my
workflow, and the task want a collection<string> in the AssignedTo-box. How do i store these logins in a collection<string> object? What datatype do I use for my workflow argument to store these logins from the javascript(wfParams) in my InitForm.aspx?

Version of jvm.dll compatible with 64-bit development on Visual Studio 2013?

Hi. I am building a 64-bit C++ application under Visual Studio 2013. I am using jvm.dll to call Java methods from within the application. The issue is that the version of jvm.dll that is distributed with Java 7 and Java 8 are compiled with Visual Studio 2010 (and thus rely on the msvcr100.dll runtime library). This makes it very dangerous to use with a Visual Studio 2013 application which uses msvcr120.dll (mixing runtime libraries is a very big no-no). I am seeing random memory errors as a result, at the JNI interface level.
Is there any way to get a version of jvm.dll that is compiled with Visual Studio 2013 and is thus dependent on msvcr120.dll?

How I can use Visual Studio 2013 to create lists or libraries via remote?

I use visual studio on my machine and try to create a list, but the sharepoint server is on another machine. It is possible to run a program on my computer and then create a list on the sharepoint server. If yes, how can I achieve this?

You can create and manage lists and libraries using SharePoint Designer. To use Visual Studio you would have to create a SharePoint project, create a feature, define the list, etc. then create a Solution package and deploy that to the server. If you just
want to manually add a list then use Designer.

Display issue typing and using visual studio 2013

Hi
So i installed visual studio 2013 with update 4 last night and now i am having an issue with it. When i start up my project it doesn't show anything until i minimize and un-minimize the screen. Also when I to try type within the code there is no pointer
shown and nothing is shown the screen i am typing or changing any text. Also with clicking on the explorer it doesn't highlight what i select and also when i right click within the explorer the properties disappear when i move over them.

The issue sounds more like a problem related to your Graphic driver. Could you please make sure your "graphic driver" is update to date?You should also make sure you've applied all Windows Updates in your OS.

it is because that System.Net.Sockets is not available in Windows Phone Runtime app, we have to use the
