Should I uninstall Elements 11 after installing Elements 12?

Should I uninstall Elements 11 after installing Elements 12?

You don't have to and if you use any of the features removed in v12 (http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1302663?tstart=0) you might want to keep it.

    Hi Dm606,
You don't need to uninstall Photoshop Element 6 before installing
    Photoshop Element12.
However, it is totally your decission to uninstall PSE6 but it won't give you any
    problem if both version co-exist.
    Hope this helps.
Please let me know if you have any other question.

I have the CS6 Master Suite and have kept it updated, do I need to uninstall that before installing the creative cloud apps?

Not necessary. CC will recognise existing installs and simply substitute the licensing.

  • Should I uninstall Elements 10 before installing Elements 12

I just purchased Elements 12 to replace Elements 10 should I uninstall the older version?

Totally up to you. You can keep both if you want. You may want to leave PSE 10 at least till you're sure you don't care about any of the missing features in PSE 12, like color variations and the magic extractor. If you're running windows, much of that can be restored from your copy of 10, if you want.

    Hi,
Search local users and groups to confirm if you are in administrators group, you can search this utility:
    lusrmgr.msc
Meanwhile, how about installing new application? Do you have the permission?

  • Elements 10 Suddenly will not open. Should I uninstall/deactivate and re-install or will I never be able to use it again? On windows 7 using parallels on Macbook Pro and never had this problem ever.

I ran trouble shooting and conflicts. It now keeps wanting me to switch to a different windows OS rather than 7 which is what I am running and how it worked previously. The only thing I have done in the last several days that may have freaked it out is downloading flash because my flash kept crashing in google chrome (i did days of trouble shooting before doing this. Thanks to Adobe I've used up about 4 days of non productive trouble shooting and now this!). It simply doesn't open anymore - not even an error message.
Just wanted to confirm that the next step should be deinstall/deactivate and then try to reinstall. But worried Adobe has rigged it so that only works if reinstalling on a different computer. Should I anticipate any problems in un & re install?

eventually prompts to select which version to use.
That person is misreading the prompt. It merely tells you that if you DO want to uninstall old versions, you should stop the install now and go do that first because the installer won't do it (and you really don't have to--you can uninstall later if you decide you no longer need the old version). It never says you MUST pick a version, although many people misread it to mean that.

  • Can't uninstall Reader 9 after installing Reader X

Installed Reader X on my PC running Vista with Reader 9.4.x already on my system.  I thought that the Reader X install would upgrade my Reader 9 install, but it didn't.  I don't have a need for 9 any more, and want to remove it.
However, Reader 9 does not appear in the list of Programs in Control Panel > Programs and Features.
So how can I uninstall Reader 9?
I should also mention that I also have Photoshop CS4 installed on this machine.  Is that why?  Is Reader an integral part of Photoshop CS and cannot be uninstalled?
    Thanks.

The standard advise is to remove all traces of previous versions of
Reader before proceeding to a new install. If the previous versions have
not been removed, the standard advise is to remove all trace
s of Reader (all versions), and then rein
stall the one you want. To eliminate
Reader, you can follow the procedure described here:

I have installed the new Adobe CS3 Web Premium package
including FW CS3. Now I want to uninstall FW 8, but when I
use Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel, during the remove
process a dialog window appears with this error message:
Error 1316. A network error occurred while attempting to read
from the file C:\WINDOWS\Installer\ Macromedia Fireworks 8.msi.
After clicking OK the process is rolled back and the message

  • I downgraded from CC to CS6, and Acrobat XI is now in trial mode. How can I use the Acrobat X that comes with the CS6 Master Collection disc? Should I uninstall Acrobat XI then install Acrobat X? What about de-/reactivation?

I've read about deactivating/reactivating with Photoshop. If applicable, how is that done?
    Macbook Pro 16GB Mac OS X 10.9.4

deactivating is done by opening a programs > click help > click deactivate.
that's not applicable to cc apps.
to use acrobat x, uninstall acrobat xi, clean and then install acrobat x, Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs

  • Do I Need to Uninstall Audigy 2 After Installing X-

I just installed a new X-Fi Fatalty. I thought the installer would overwrite or dispose of my old sound card drivers and software, but it didn't. So now my Start Menu has a drop-down menu for both my old Audigy 2 ZS and the new X-Fi. Do I need to uninstall the old Audigy stuff or can I just leave it alone? If I need to uninstall, what's the best way to do it's I didn't see anything in Add/Remove Programs that would apply. Thanks.

    jutapa wrote:
Don't you see "Sound Blaster Audigy 2" appear there (Add/Remove programs)?
    jutapa
Well, I'm looking for the Sound Blaster X-Fi in add/remove and don't see that either. I installed the 2.07's. I'm trying to stick the new 2.09's on, but I'd like to uninstall nicley. Guess I'll just have to use the setup.exe in the older drivers...yes, that seems to be working...not as pretty as add/remove tho.

  • Should I uninstall PSE 10 after upgrade to PSE 11?

I just successfully installed PSE 11 to support my new Nikon D7100's RAW image files. Should I get rid of the older PSE version? Thanks!

It's totally up to you. You can if you want, but you don't have to. I'd leave it till you're sure there isn't some feature you preferred in PSE 10.

  • I cant uninstall CC applications after install CC2014

    Hola
    My OS is 10.9.3
I installed some applications CC2014 and now I ca't uninstall the old versions (and new). Although I had already successfully uninstalled some applications in previous days.
From not being able to uninstall, I've also seen applications that I installed do not appear as installed in the CC box.
The error asks me quit applications, startup items, virus software and firewall.
I've done everything, but the problem persists.
    Some one can help me?

Xavi333 if possible could you copy and paste the text of your error to the forum.  This will allow me to translate the error.
