How to show and hide Lov icons and Date Picker image on conditional?

Why do you just want to make the icons conditional? Shouldn't the field also be conditional?

Remove tooltip from Date Picker image

Hi All,
I want to suppress the tooltip text when hovered on Date Picker image.
I tried the code below but nothing seems to be working.

Not sure why you thought the noConflict call was needed. APEX includes jQuery already.
You're pretty close, but your don't want to remove the title from ALL the images on the page. You want to be a little more specific.
The image you want to target has a class of ui-datepicker-trigger so go with that.
Create an Advanced Dynamic action that runs on on "Page Load". Use this javascript code:
$(".ui-datepicker-trigger").removeAttr("title");

Apex 3.1 Upgrade Issue - dba_lock and date picker display

A couple of minor issues I've seen with my upgrade from 3.0.1 to 3.1. Just wondered if anyone else has seen them and if anyone has a simple fix for the date picker problem :
1. DBA_LOCK - the upgrade process itself complains about the SYS.DBA_LOCK view not existing - easily remedied by running catblock.sql before you start the upgrade (but not listed as a pre-req)
2. DATE PICKER display - I have a date picker item in a navigation region - before the upgrade the calendar icon happily appeared directly to the right of the date cell, since the upgrade the icon has moved to underneath the cell, messing up the look and feel. (Also the size of the pop up calendar doesn't quite fit its contents now and you have to resize to see the close and ok buttons )
Any confirmation that others can replicate the second issue or a quick fix would be very helpful.

I know the templates were revised for APEX 3.1, but that should not have affected existing applications. So you're saying that application used a Navigation Template before just fine without issues? I'll ask Carl to investigate.

Well, that really sucks. The worst thing we can do is break the behavior of existing applications, and it appears we've done it here. I filed Bug 6864371 on this issue. We'll get it fixed in the very first patch set for APEX 3.1.

Select list and date picker on one line - is this a bug?

I'm using: Application Express 3.2.0.00.27
Is the following a bug? If so, how do I get it reported so it will be fixed in a future release of APEX? If not, how do I do it so it ends up the way I want?
1. create blank page
2. create html region
3. create "select list" item (Begin On New Line - Yes, ...Field - Yes, ColSpan - 1, Row Span - 1)
4. create date picker item (Begin On New Line - No, ...Field - No, ColSpan - 1, Row Span - 1)
There will be other items displayed in more columns above what I just had you create above. I want the select list and the date picker to display next to each other on same line, so I placed date picker item on same line in same field as select list item.
HOWEVER... the date picker ends up displayed under the select list item (kind of), instead of next to it on the same line.
Here's what I get:
...................... [Select List Field] Date Picker Label
Select List Label
...................... [Date Picker Field]
Here's what I want:
Select List Label [Select List Field] Date Picker Label [Date Picker Field]

Uix:dateField and date Picker problems

Hello.
In the Blaf Glossary, I read that is possible to use the date picker on a primary window, without a popup window.
does anybody has a sample code to see how is this possible?

What version of JDev are you using? The inlineDatePicker is in 10g preview. There was no way of doing this prior to 10g.

Show or Hide the icons in a report column in APEX

Hi All,
I have a requirement to show or Hide a Delete Icon in my report.
Condition is whenever the transfer is completed, then the user should not see the Delete Icon for that particular row of the report. I.E. for example if there are 5 rows in the report, and for 2 rows the value of the Transfer is NULL, then the Delete icon should be appear to the user. If the value for the column transfer is Not Null for remaining 3 rows, then the user should not be able to see the Delete Icon.
For this I did like below,
In the report, I edited the Del_Icon and Selected 'Value of the Item/Column in Expression1 is NULL' and entered 'Transferred' in Expression1 in Conditional Display area. But even if the value for Transfer column is 'Transferred', the Delete Icon is still appearing for that row.
Can someone please let me know where can be the mistake is?

Actually in the application if we go to Transfer Page, there is an option to create a row for Transfer page. There is a column Transfer, If we do not enter any value for the column Transfer and submit the page, the record will be created and the Delete Icon should be appear. If I update the row in the application and provide some value, and click submit button, then the Delete Icon should not appear.

You can do one thing, check the condition in the report sql itself and display the image
select case
            when transfer is null then '<a onclick="f_func()"><img src="#APP_IMAGES#img"></a>'
            else null

         col2
from tableI have used "APP_IMAGES" you can changes it accordingly.
and the <a> tag should be like this *<a onclick="f_func()"*
in the javascript function you can submit the page using apex.submit('REQUEST') and condition your delete process on the REQUEST.

Hey,
- Edit the date picker page item
- Locate the 'Settings' section
- Select 'on focus' for the 'Show' select list
That will hide the date picker calendar icon.

Error when giving untill condition for System time and date

Hi Experts,
i am using Untill Loop in my workflow to set condition for System time and date.According to this condition when system date and time is greater than equal to some date and time then mail goes to an agent.But during testing , the workflow gets into error stage.
             In workflow log i am getting error like
'Maximum number of    10000 nodes reached' in executed action 'DEQUEUE_NEXT_NODE' for false condition.
                    Please suggest what may be possible cause or solution for it?
           Points will be rewarded for any good solution.

Hi,
You should not use loop for that kind of purpose. It sounds to me that your workflow is looping all the time, and the maximum numer of nodes is reached soon, and the workflow goes into error.
You should use the WF deadline functionality for your purpose. For example use in a relevant step the "latest end" tab, and define the deadline there. Then when your deadline is reached, the workflow will continue in a separate outcome, and there you can send your mail.

Date Picker null after page submit

Hi,
I have created an application with two regions. On one region a select statement displays the list of employees with their employee id's. On other region there is a select statement which shows the leave detail of every employee using range of date on where clause of select statement. Two date picker items are created on region one. when a name of employee is clicked on region one the employee id of that employee uses select statement in second region and its information should display. It is working well without date range. when I use dates in where clause it shows no data because date pickers goes null after page submit. Page is branchig to same page.
I am not able to resolve why date pickers goes null.

Apex Version 3.0

In region one select statement retreives employee id's and there is also search item on region one searching employee names and it retain the value. but date pickers having same setup that you mentioned dos'nt retain values. If they retain values my problem will solve.
When cliked on employee id select statement should execute using employee id and date picker values on another region on same page.

Why is the date picker icon is not showing on the PDF file?

Hi,
I added a date field on a form.
I can see the date picker icon when viewing the form online but when I download and open the PDF to my computer and open it on Adobe Reader that icon doesn't show up.
It's important since my users then need to manually enter the date instead of choosing it on the graphic interface (some of my users are older so need all the help they can get)
Is there an option or something I missing to make the date picker icon show up on the actual PDF file as well?

Two questions: Event on a Date Picker and Read Only on a full page?

I make use of this very informative board to develop an application but i have been unable to find info on these two topics. Sorry if it has been already discussed extensively.
Using HTMLDB 2.2 for now.
=>First question:
I have a date picker item with an event
onChange="resaStatusChange();"
in the HTML Form Element Attribute field.
The event is triggerring if i put a new data in the field but does not trigger if i use the picker.
Is it a standart behaviour? Is there a way to trigger the event when new data is provided through the date picker?
=> Second question:
One page in my application has to be used either to only display information or as a mixed displaying/entering data sheet.
When the context is appropriate to use the page as a simple display (testing both global authorization and data to be displayed), is there a way to put a read only attribute on the full page instead of putting the read only conditions through each and every item of the page?
Sorry if the questions are not clear and apologize for what should be newbie questions.

I never used it on a whole page, only for regions. So maybe you have to make some changes.

How to hide/show and move screenelements at runtime

Hi Guys
    Currently, i have a requirment that, in the same screen, when user choose different different option in the dropdown list, there should be different screenelements and table control with different columns showing below it.
Now, i have two plans below:
1), hide/show and move position of screen elements and table control at runtime
2), call different subscreen
I hope i can take the first way since the second way will modify structure of program ( As it is infotype screen ), any one knows how to implement the first solution?

I would suggest you to call different subscreens and load them dynamically based on your parameters.Since different subscreen are called your coding and functionality could also be seperated by writing in the PAI and PBO of the correspondiong Screens.
if you have decided to go by your first method then try the below code.
a) if it is normal UI elements like text box etc
LOOP AT SCREEN.
    IF <var> = ' value '.
        screen-invisible = '0'.
        MODIFY SCREEN.
endif
ENDLOOP.
Here <var> refers to the screen field name and value refers to its value.
b) To hide columns in a Table control.
DATA cols LIKE LINE OF tc-cols.
LOOP AT tc-cols INTO cols.
    IF cols-screen-group1 = 'G1'.
      cols-invisible = 'X'. "HIDE THIS COLUMN
      MODIFY tc-cols
      FROM cols
      TRANSPORTING invisible.
    ENDIF.
    CLEAR cols.
ENDLOOP.
PS: here TC refers to the name of the table control.

Date Picker with Previous and Next Year Options

Hi All,
I am implementing a date picker in my application which is tied to an attribute of type PA0001-BEGDA. Date Picker as such works fine but navigating to previous year and Next year options are not available. User has to go month by month to different years if they have to navigate.
Is this the normal behavior of the Date Picker or am I missing something else to get the previous and Next year icons in the Date Picker.

hmm..I tried using the select options and it did give the same date picker with the previous and Next navigation icons...The only problem with the select options is that its a single field which has the range and can accept multiple values too...
I tried to figure out how the date picker that we use in the custom application and the one in Select Options differ but no luck...Does this ring any bell?

Iframes show and hide

I have the Requirement like :
I have two iframes side by side in a page, and two buttons show and hide,
once i click hide button second iframe should disappear and first one should be increase in size to fit whole window. and once i click show first and second should be 50/50 in the page
for this i followed below steps
1) created page.
2) created two report region (No Template)
3) In one region source i called iframe like

once i click hide button THE CONTENTS(item VALUES) OF THE FIRST FRAME ARE REFRESHED, DUE THAT ALL ENTERED DATA WIL DISAPPEAR SO HOW TO AVOID IT , without refreshing the frist frame i need to set the P104_width value so it interm width will set in the iframe region??????

I had another idea that I am pursuing. I am looking into extending the current renderer CommandNavigationRenderer and will render another goLink just after the current goLink that will execute a close action. I was able to re-direct the rendering by added an override render-kit block in my current faces-config.xml file.
