Show lov in query panel for an attribute using = = or between operators

When we use between, greater than, less than, greater than or equal to , less than or equal to in the view criteria
On an attribute which has lov
in query panel of UI the lov does not show up for that particular attribute
How to show lov for an attribute in query panel when i am using the above operators

Does the LOV show up in basic query state?

  • How can I access the savestore.js contents if the command about:sessionrestore shows a blank box even for already succesfully used backups?

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    How can I access the savestore.js contents if the command about:sessionrestore shows a blank box even for already succesfully used backups?
    Is there a recent known problem with the about:sessionrestore command or is there any other way understandable to Firefox 29.0.1 through which recover the information stored in the sessionstore.js files.
    It seems the command about:sessionrestore is not capable anymore to read the contents of the sessionstore.js file present in the user profile folder.
    The box where windows and tabs should be listed is empty.
    I tried to paste a few old sessionstore.js files in the user directory while the firefox.exe process was not active, then opened Firefox again and tried to launch the about:sessionrestore command without any result.
    I think the files are not corrupted because I used most of them in other occasions and I stored them in folders not connected to the common use of any process.
    Also, I already successfully used the about:sessionrestore command in Firefox 29.0.1 in a few other occasions.
    I did a "clean reinstall" of Firefox 29.0.1 and the box contained in the tab where about:sessionrestore is executed is still empty even if the files themselves contain such information as tabs location and html addresses.
    After this I recovered the profile data I had stored in another folder and this is what you can see attached to this question.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    If I select the "show my windows and tabs from last time" option in the startup settings the contents of any savestore.js file i paste in the user profile folder are opened without any problem.
    still, the box in the tab loaded by the about:sessionrestore command is blank and empty, so it's not possible to "de-select" any window or tab. it's necessary to find an editor to modify session backup files which may contain "bad addresses".
    does such an editor already exists?

  • LOV in Query Panel not refreshing

    Following is the requirement ---
    There is a search page which binds to a particular person say XYZ.
    Author LOV is there in the query panel which contains a list of person names who have written a note for XYZ.
    Now, the LOV field should refresh when we create or delete a note.
    Implementation -- I have a VVO which has person id, authorid and authorName and its been ensured that personId and authorId are unique.
    I am using this VVO as a view accessor and then fetching in the list of authors for a particular person in the query panel.
    But, I am unable to refresh this drop down after creation and deletion of a note.
    Steps taken to achieve this :
    Row Level Bind Values for the view accessors have been made true.
    Refreshing the VO iterator,view criteria used in the query panel and the query panel after creation and deletion of a note.
    Any suggestions to resolve the issue would be of a great help.
    Thanks,
    Projjal

    Do you see the same behaviour in the AM Tester , if yes then just setting the right ppr's of the delete button on the LOV should help.
    Else try to re-execute the ViewAccessor programmatically.

  • ADF Query Panel for Dynamic VO.

    Hi All,
    i am using jdev version 11.1.1.5.0.
    In my use case i have created one dynamic VO because table and no of column decided run time. now i want to provide filter on that vo using Named view criteria as ADF query panel.
    but column and table decided run time. So can i create dynamic query panel(View Criteria) run time?
    or Is there any another way to achieve my requirement?
    Thanks in Advance.

    Hi Manish,
    not sure if this is what you are looking for, but you can have dynamic viewcriteria in a search region.
    In the searchregion binding in the pageDefenition simply use an EL Expression to determine what criteria to use.
    <searchRegion Criteria="#{pageFlowScope.startupMode eq 'mgr' ? 'CriteriaForManager' : 'CriteriaForEmployee'}"
                         Customizer="oracle.jbo.uicli.binding.JUSearchBindingCustomizer"
                         Binds="EmployeesView1Iterator"
                         id="CriteriaForManagerQuery"/>  I explained it on my weblog : http://lucbors.blogspot.nl/2011/10/in-my-current-project-use-lot-of-re.html

  • Querying EUL for Workbooks That Use Specific Folders

    I have not been able to find the proper setup for this task. In Discoverer Administrator, if I click on a folder|click delete|impact, the workbooks that are displayed do not agree with the workbooks returned if I query the EUL. Does someone have a good, accurate solution to the problem?
    Thanks,
    Jerre

    Jerre,
    Please clarify your question with this additional information:
    In the Confirm Folder Delete dialog, are you choosing "Delete from this Business Area" or "Delete from the End User Layer"? You will only see the workbook dependencies when choosing "Delete from the End User Layer" and then clicking the "Impact" button. Even when deleting a folder from all business areas results in it becoming an orphan folder (and not available to dependent workbooks), the "Impact" button will not show you workbook dependencies if you have "Delete from this Business Area" selected.
    When you say that you are querying the EUL to find dependent workbooks, what query are you actually running? If you are doing this in SQL*PLUS, show the query you are using. If you are querying the EUL using a Discoverer worksheet, show the SQL query behind that. If your query uses EUL5_QPP_STATS it may not be giving you accurate results.
    And finally, which of your two methods produces the correct result?
    See this discussion thread if you haven't already read it:

  • How to use input box LOV in query panel (search region)

    Hi,
    We are having JDeveloper version 11.1.2.4.0
    In one of the JSF page, we are showing some data (absences).
    Requirement is to add search region at the top so that user can filter the data, based on search parameters like Business Group, Job etc.
    The search parameters are inter-dependent e.g. Job is dependent on Business Group. So when user selects some particular Business Group, Job search field should show jobs for that Business Group only.
    This works fine we use Choice List for both Business Group and Job.
    However since there are huge number of jobs, Job choice list makes page rendering very slow.
    So we tried to use Input box with LOV for Job.
    But now when job is selected in the LOV popup and returned to main page, job search field shows job id instead of job name.
    Please note that our base VO (AbsencesVO) contains JobId attribute. We have added List of Values on JobId, which fetches Job Name through JobVO1 view accessor.
    How to make Job LOV field show selected Job Name instead of ID? Kindly advise.
    Thanks,
    Vivek

    Thanks Timo/Bangaram, for prompt replies
    Timo, the link mentioned by you talks about showing IDs (DepartmentId, ManagerId etc.) in the search region. I need to show names in the form of Input box LOV.
    Bangaram, as per your suggestion I tried using transient JobName attribute. However now when I select any value in the Job LOV popup and return to main page, it shows first Job Name in the Job Name search field.
    Also when I click 'Search' button in Search panel, it shows error - Attempt to set a parameter name that does not occur in the SQL: BindJobName
    Please note that I have added both JobName and JobId in the List configuration as you suggested.
    In View criteria, I have removed previous item (condition) on JobId and added condition on JobName.(This is required because JobId condition shows JobId search field)
    I also tried making JobName dependent on JobId..still same behaviour.
    Kindly advise.
    Thanks,
    Vivek

  • ** How to show the master query group for once in Report??

    Hi
    I've developed a master-detail groups at a report
    The master one has it's repeating frame and the detail one has another repeating frame and put at another page at the layout.
    The porblem is that the master one is shown (the same record) in pages for times equal to the number of the detail records which is own for that master record!
    Example:
    if the master record has got three details then the master data will be show for three times (three pages) at run time and then the page number 4 will show the three detail records.
    How to make the master data to be shown only for once (page number 1 only) and then show the detail three records at the next page (page number 2) at run time???

    Hi,
    the question back is, what you've done for this. At default the master record is only shown once. Could it be, that the master-fields are inside the repeating frame for the details?
    Regards

  • Tool Tip for VO attribute using Groovy

    Hi All,
    I was wondering how to use groovy for Tool Tip of a view object attribute.
    What I am basically looking for is return the String from a RowImpl class method and set it as a Tool Tip text.
    my method:
    public String applyToolTip(){
    return "This is my Tool Tip";
    Groovy used for Tool Tip Attribute
    adf.object.applyToolTip()
    also tried with,
    adf.object.viewObject.applyToolTip()
    None of them work. Also I tried writing the same method in VOImpl class. No luck.. Please help with explanation.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    Groovy is not used throughout ADF BC. It can be used in validation and to define default values to an attribute but not for UI hints. For tool tips you would use message bundles (assuming your question is towards internationalization). Tool tips are defined on the AttributeDef of a View Object attribute and thus not defined per VO instance.

  • Query Panel LOV Selecting first value

    Hi all,
    I created a LOV to use for one of my VOs. I created it as an Input Text with List of Values. I updated the AF Table using this view to use the new list of values and it works correctly. However in the query panel for the table when you try and select a value from the LOV it always chooses the first record in the LOV no matter which one you select. The query panel is implemented as a separate pop-up/dialog for the AF table.
    I'm not sure why it is working fine on the actual table but not working correctly in the query panel.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks
    Jdev 11.1.2.2.0

    Found the solution to this one.. I did not specified which were the key columns in the VOs that I created to reference in the LOV.
    Once I specified the key column in the VO, the LOV returned the correct value in the Query Panel too.

  • [ADF] Query panel advanced search - starts with

    Hi all
    I have a query panel with an attribute which has an Attached LOV. The operator is defined as "Equals" in the View criteria
    The attribute is behaving properly
    View image: 1
    but when switched to advanced mode and "starts with" operator selected, the LOV changes to a numeric field and expects a numeric value
    View image: 2
    Is there a work around for this apart from removing the startswith operator
    Jdev version - 11.1.2.0.0

    User, please always tell us your jdev version.
    Well, this use case need some thinking to be done. What do you want to archive with adding a new query field to the panel? As you said you already have one field for employeeId and now, on a click on a button, you add another one. How would the resulting query work with the new field? Should it use 'and' to concatenate the query or should it use 'or'?
    I suggest that you use the ADF Riche Client Demo (http://jdevadf.oracle.com/adf-richclient-demo/faces/index.jspx) select the Query node and then select 'af:query'. This shows you what is possible otu of hte box using the af:query component. You can add fields to existing queries in advanced mode (e.g. use system query 5, which starts with an empty panel and allows you to add fields).
    Once you understand how this works you may come back with a more detailed use case description or you have found the solution already. Read the documentation on af:query along with trying otu the component.

  • ADF Query Panel with Tree Table -- Add Fields

    I created ADF Query Panel with Tree Table using JDeveloper 11G. Under Advance Search, Add Fields pull down only list the fields in the master table. My questions are,
    1) Can I search fields in detail table? If yes, how can I do it?
    2) How can I customized this pull down list? Currently it just show the entire view of master table with unnecessary id type data.
    Thanks in advance.
    Edited by: kxc on Nov 9, 2009 9:21 AM

    1) Can I search fields in detail table? If yes, how can I do it?
    Are there anyway to search the second level node?You can. But you need to evaluate if the arrangement works for you.
    I assume you have a view link from the master to detail VO.
    To do so, in your master view criteria (the one which you use in the query panel), shuttle the attributes of your detail VO (in master attributes list, you'l see the detail view link accessor - on selecting this, the detail atteributes are available to you)
    In the Add Fields, it shows as student_id AND student_name. I was unable to delete the student_id field in the view since it is PKYou can set its 'display' UI hint to 'hide' in your VO.

  • As Reorder items in Query Panel?

    Good night,
    use 12c jdeveloper and would like to know how I can sort the items in a query panel.
    for example: I have the fields in the View Criterial, "id, name, age, gender, telephone", the latter field is a ViewLink to another entity "telefonoView" and want to show in the query panel in the following order:
    * id
    * name
    * gender
    * Phone
    * age
    thank you very much in advance.

    Hi,
    another option that I did not ty before posting this answer is to define the order in the UI hints of the attributes. You can set a display index (1 ... n) for where fields should render

  • Changing Date Format in query panel default calender

    Hi All,
    when I drag the date into the Query Filter Panel in Webi and use the between operator (or any operator) the format of the date shows up as DD/MM/YYYY as default . But we want the format should show up as DD/MM/YYYY HH24:MM:SS
    As far as we know, there is no preference setting available in WebI. Could you please guide us how can we change the format?
    thx

    Hi,
    Are you using a date object or a string object for date.
    If you are using a date object then you would have the option of calendar selection when using between where you would be able to see your desired format.
    I think if this does not resolve ur issue then either by changing regional settings or by changing the User setting (i.e. if you are using a single signon for ur Database (maybe SAP system) and ur BO WebI reports then the user id settings would directly apply here and you should be able to acheive mm/dd/yyyy hh:mm:ss format.)
    I hope this helps.

    Kartik
