Show size of rounded corners in Appearance palette
Hi,
I often use the Rounded Corners effect on objects, and I think it would be useful to see the size of the rounded corners in the Appearance palette. That is, it would be nice to see it automatically, without having to click on "Round Corners" to open up the Round Corners dialog box. The strokes tool shows the width of the stroke in the Appearance palette, so why not Rounded Corners?

I first tried it in a text frame. Now when I do a 'paste into' in an image frame it seems to work, but now I have an extra frame in my workflow
Table => text frame => image frame with rounded corners => text frame
Ideal would be:
Table => text frame with rounded corners => text frame
But I am starting to believe that this is not possible in InDesign (since it moves the table in the frame)
Now I will try to figure out if my Excel links will still survive in InCopy with the image frame option.

Hi,
I used round corners for the website I created in the trial version.
The round corners were working great, but suddenly they don't show up in the preview mode or in the browser anymore. It happens right after I tested the anchor links in a page, and pinned object in that same page as well as in the master page. I'm not sure sure this could be related to the problem at all...
Could you help me fix this bug?

[Solved] How to force enable rounded corners in a theme on GNOME 3.16
Hello
I just recently started using arch (and I regret why didnt I use it earlier -.-, such a great OS). I put up Gnome 13.16.2 as my desktop environment particularly because I like its interface (rounded corners, the ui etc. Kinda reminds me of my fav mobile OS MIUI).
And I can see that most of the themes (almost all that I have installed infact) like to remove rounded corners and give a flat rectangle. Is there some way to force rounded corners by editing the theme? I did had a look at gnome-shell.css of theme and the "panel" portion of it didnt had any such part (or atleast I couldn't find it). Some help would be appreciated, really want those rounded corners as well as the theme.

If it's supposed to be proper XML, the right way would be to fix it and use an XML parser in your favorite scripting language to load it, read the other file, and alter the data systematically.
xmllint in the libxml2 package may be useful for checking XML syntax and reformatting.
If you know Python then you could probably use the xml.dom.minidom or one of the other standard XML libraries.
If it is in the format posted then the following script should do what you want, or at least provide a starting point. It's not the most efficient approach but it seems to do the trick.

If you wish to have proportionately growing sizes with the same rounding radius, you may:
1) Start with a (non rounded) rectangle and Effect>Distort & Transform>Transform with the desired scaling and number of copies;
2) Object>Expand Appearance;
3) Effect>Stylize>Round Corners with the desired radius. -

How do I outline the Round Corners effect?
I have drawn a rectangle outline, and applied the Round Corners effect. I need to now outline both the stroke (easy) *and* the round corners effect. What I need is a path, containing the outline including rounded corners.
I'm trying to export an illustration to XAML and it doesn't seem to support the round corners effect, thus it needs to be part of the path and not an effect.
Any help would be appreciated.

I am looking for suggestions on how I can added rounded

draw the size you need for the tabs and set the corner radius by
use of the field in the properties panel. Save one image for each
of the button states you wish to show. In the css, bring the images
in by setting background-image and change them by setting the

I know you can do this with javascript rendering tools like
curvy corners, though it is a river of code compared to two lines
required by the css. (If you have trouble with the CSS post again

You may have moved or removed content on your page or its possible you used the"Adjust Image" and over sharpeed one or more images.
I assume you mean it does not show up of new Chapter pages... have you checked the template?
Where you see the ? you need to either reduce teh box outline size - or drop anther copy of the original image onto it, it may fill the ? box or sit on top.... delete the ? box.
If its Chapter page only related, its better doing this in the template.
Is you image .jpg or .png? -

Darrell.This is not on a Master slide, but you can create rounded corners on the borders of your project. Go to Project > Table of Contents or Skin Editor > click the square icon underneath the Skin - that will take you to the borders. Then you can check the Show Borders > Style, click the drop down and select Rounded corners. You'd probably want to make sure you have all four edges selected.

Box with rounded corners displays as rectangle in Web Browser
I am using the box control (IBoxObject) in my Crystal Reports with rounded corners. However the box displays as a rectangle with square corners when viewed in a web browser. I have tried this in IE 7.0.5730.13, Firefox 3.0.3 and Chrome 0.2.149.30 all give the same problem.
The interesting thing is that the boxes display correctly at design time and when exported to PDF, but they wonu2019t display correctly in IE/Firefox/Chrome. Here are the specific settings for the box:

Problem Rounding Corners in Flex 3

I'm having some problems rounding my panel and controlbar.
Actually, the corners are rounded. The problem is that at the bottom of the panel are light gray squares peeking out from behind the rounded corners. If I put a dropshadow on the panel then, only one of the corners has the light gray square problem.

I've read that sometimes there are problems rounding a panel that has a border. I tried setting the border to solid and thickness to zero and it's still not working correctly.
Any ideas as to how to solve this problem?

The component is in a ViewStack and the edges of the ViewStack are peeking out. I set the backgroundColor of the ViewStack to red and that's how I determined the cause of the problem. I set the viewStack's width to 100% and that solved it. -
Illustrator not able to round corners properly (w/ image sample)
When designing a logo, I want to be able to round corners properly, i.e. mathematically. When I specify a radius of 20 mm, I expect a radius of 20 mm, not various random radiuses. Illustrator simply isn't capable of doing this properly. I find this very strange, as this is the leading vector editing tool for designing logos (among others).
As a result of this, I've developed my own "manual" method of doing this, but it takes some time, and it's not elegant.

Comes out with this component:
I would like to place that TabBar at the Bottom of the viewstack, rounded corners pointing outwardly.
if I add rotation="180" to the TabBar <s:TabBar dataProvider="{view}" skinClass="skins.CustomSparkTabBarSkin" rotation="180"/> will make the matter all the more laughable. I don't understand why is it so hard to create a TabNavigator with the buttons on the bottom?!Alright, I solved it by using Flash Catalyst... at least its' a simple way...
So what I did was, Skinned it in Photoshop, imported it to Catalyst, and did the ncessary (convert to button, and select the label for it) and imported it into Flash Builder 4.
I added the following component in Main:

Now the problem is... When I label my NavigatorContent, and dynamically added to the ViewStack (which is the dataprovider of the TabBar), the TabBar don't show the labels...
Even though it's hardcoded in the example above to show Hello ... Nothing shows.
What am I missing? -
How do I keep round cornered boxes when opening CS4 to CS4
I produce a lot of forms which have round cornered boxes within the text boxes, when opening these indesign CS4 files into CS5 the boxes lose all but one of the round corners. The only fix I can see is to manually adjust the boxes within CS5. Is there an easier way? or will an update improve this. I find this very frustrating as I only have about 700 forms produced which will all need to be fixed.

Well, Stix, I don't think they cater to small users with thousands of files. I'm sure that if my organization was buying hundreds of licenses for the full Creative Suite, and maybe LiveCycle Server, that they might be able to cater to me. But since we're only buying 1 license of the Suite and 4 of InDesign, then the fact that I have an archive of tens of thousands documents in forty languages going back to the early 90s that have to be updated on an intermittent basis, is not really high on Adobe's list of things about which it is important to care. My file management needs, while totally critical to me (and by extension the refugees I serve), aren't going to be that important to Adobe. They don't cater to me, and I can understand this, as I am not a big revenue stream for them.

However, the fact that it seems that only the forums regulars know these critical facts is a massive failing on Adobe's part. I fail to understand why this stuff that we post over & over again isn't pointed out to the users when they install ID, or when they open a file that was created in a previous version of ID. Seems like a mind-numbingly obvious case for one of those little checkboxes that says "Don't show me this again." Illy seems to handle this without issue.

the program that created the document to open/edit? This is a very
impractical solution.
As Bob has already pointed out... yeah. It's impractical, but it is also a solution.
In your shoes, I'd mention to your IT folk that your long-term IT plan should include keeping some old apps around in virtualization; that way when InDesign CS10 reflows your document created with CS6 when you just want to update a logo, you can just boot up your image of Windows 2012 End-Of-The-World-Edition without needing IT to help you out.
