Show values as percentages of first value in series

I have a tricky problem I've tried to figure a way to do in OBIEE and I'm currently stumped.
I have data that generally decays over time, but has vastly different starting values. I need to be able to show the data as percentages of the starting value, so that I can compare the various streams on an equal basis.
Here is the data I have (a small sample)
1492 1470 1369 1264 1141 1037
1190 1162 1067 972 842 723
266 265 259 250 238 226
What I want it to look like this:
100% 99% 92% 85% 76% 70%
100% 98% 90% 82% 71% 61%
100% 100% 97% 94% 89% 85%
This is fairly easy to do with the data in Excel, but I really need the ability for the whole thing to work in OBIEE.
I tried creating a view that only has the numbers in the first column, but I can find no way to then have a subsequent report match and then calculate the percentages.
Can this be done in OBIEE? Any Ideas?

Thanks, but my numbers are from an aggregate already (count) so I can't combine a first in the same function with a count.

How can I append to an array of defined length and have the first value added be the first value out.

I want to build/append to an array. Let's say the length is defined at 10 elements. When the 11th element comes in I want the first element to be kicked out so that the array always has the most recent 10 elements in it in order. the arrays should look like this:
{0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9}
{1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10}
{2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11}
etc.

Here's a revised VI, except I'm using LV8.5 and the lowest I can save down to is 8 so perhaps someone will be kind enough to convert this?

SelectOneChoice - showing the first value as the default?

Using a selectOneChoice, how do you get the first value to show in the form as the default? It always displays a blank item when the form first comes up. I don't want the user to have to select a value for the defaults. I have 'selection required' on.

WAD: show value and percentage inside bar

Hi!
I've created a stacked columns chart and now I want to display the values in the bar. Problem: I can only show one value, e.g. 15.000$. But I would like to see 15000$ and the percentage of this value, e.g. 25% (both inside of the same bar).
Is there a possibility to do that?

in that columns values can change,and over thr make sure that automatic for all values,initially it has the userdefined option amnd change it into automatic and i thk you can find the categories options to do.try with this

I m explaing my problem brifly. I am attached a screenshot of my blockdiagram.
In the diagram i used str_1 for turned on LED let say for 10 msec and in str_2 i am mesuring voltage at 5 msec. so when LED is on for 10msec then exectly at 5 msec i mesure voltage.
Now the problem is i want to change in str_2 for constant 5 msec to control(in percentage) in wait function.
If i give lets say 10 msec input to wait function in str_1 & in str_2 i give 70% then input of wait function is 7 msec
if i give 20 msec input to wait function in str_1 & in str_2 60% then input of wait function has to be 12 msec..
I try to explain my problem though i know its diffcult to understand for someone else.. Hoping for your reply

Assessable Value and Wrong Value in SEcess in first row in J1IS

Hi,
This is a scenario of Vendor Return when we are returning multiple excisable materials to Vendor.
I have created Return Delivery using movement type in MIGO with choosing the option Part 1 only.
In J1IS,
The First problem is the assessable value which is coming wrongly as 111.11 whereas the gross value of the material is Rs. 100 only with Excise Duty 10% BED, 2% ECess and 1% SEcess & 2% CST.
The second problem is
The duty values are showing correct in the screen e.g., BED 10, ECS 0.2 and AT1 0.1 (according to gross value 100, 10% BED, 2% ECess and 1% SEcess )
There are total five items with the same gross value and other duties (gross value 100, 10% BED, 2% ECess and 1% SEcess)
But as soon as the transaction is saved, the AT1 value against first row changes wrongly from 0.1 to 0.6 and the same is flowing to the table.
Can any one provide some idea to resolve this?

Pie chart value and percentage

is it possible to show both value and percentage when holding mouse cursor over the pie chart?
I find there is no option for it.

Your requirement is to show the legends and data values at a time (when mouse rollover the pie chart)
Chart View -->Select the Graph as PIE then the Advance properties is enabled
In Advance Properties ( Start symbol ) click on that you will get chart type special and select show the labels and label values. Let me know if this is not the solution

Multilevel base value and percentage

hi,
in AFAMS, there are columns like base value and percentage. i need to clarify the below. hope can get advice.
1) say base value is 01 (acquisition value), year = 8 and percentage 5.
in this case, meaning the depreciation cost is 5% out of the total acquisition value for the first 8 years?
say acquisition value is 50,000. so 5% X 50000 for the first 8 years?
2) mostly multilevel for reducing balance method right? straight line hardly got multilevel. correct?

2. This is not necessary, but most common.

In this type of ALV Report in which only the First field value of the repeated value should be displayed.

I can display document value as like expected result in SORT ORDER in LAYOUT but the Quantity value,Net value which cannot be done in SORT ORDER in LAYOUT.
Please tell me the suitable solution.

The same value should not be repeated for Billed Qty and Net Value.
I can do that for Sales doc in sort order in layout but i couldn't do for Billed qty and Net Value.
Please help.

Disadvantages of using "0" zero as first value in a generated sequence

Does anyone have any experience with the benefits/disadvantages of using a value of 0 "zero" as the first value generated in a sequence that is also populated in a table. My past experience has always used the values of 1 "one" as the first generated value from a sequence.

Benefit: You get use one "more" number from the list of values that can possibly be generated by the sequence. If you are start from '1', you have missed out on '0' :-)
Disadvantages: If any of the queries have predicate like "sequence_generated_column_value > 0" and that your sequence starts from zero, the record with sequence_generated_column_value=0 will not appear in result set for that query (assuming it satisfies other conditions).
May be there are many mores benefits/disadvantages to add to this list :-)

Hi Aborgeld,
you can remove headers after writing the csv by using Get-Content $file | Select -skip 1 | Set-Content $file.
If null values are a problem for your SQL, this may work for you in your Select-Object call:

Compare two columns and match ALL recurring values, not just the first instance

Hi everybody...
I was looking for a way to compare values in two columns, identifying every duplicate value instance on a third column.
Searching around the forums, I found a solution, albeit a partial one; I am using this formula: =IFERROR("Duplicate in row "&MATCH($A,$B,0),"") along column C, to compare values between columns A and B. When applied, the formula will render the first instance where there is a duplicate; unfortunately MATCH will only register the first instance of the duplicated values.
For example:
The first value on column A is 'Apple'. On column B there are three instances for the value 'Apple', the formula identifies the first of these values, but not the remaining two.
I am not an advanced Numbers or Excel user, and the answer to this problem eludes me. I am attempting to compare columns that have no less than 1000 rows each, so you can imagine how, finding a solution to my problem would be really great.

Unfortunately I can't see your screenshot, but supposing you have a table like this:

Then here is one way to flag the duplicates.
The formula in C2, copied down, is:
=IF(COUNTIF($A,$B2)≥1,"Dupe","")
Then filter on column C for 'Dupe', and copy the values in column B to wherever you need them.

Report suddenly showing ORA-20001: Error fetching column value: ORA-06502:

Hi,
Some reports in my applications are suddenly showing:
ORA-20001: Error fetching column value: ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character string buffer too small
instead iof the data they used to show.
In my development system I can fix this by:
1. changing the column alias in my sql
select 'a' alias1 from dual becomes
select 'a' alias2 from dual
2. SAVE CHANGES
3. change column alias back to original
select 'a' alias2 from dual becomes
select 'a' alias1 from dual
4. reorder columns back to original in the 'report attributes' tab
alias1 is now at the bottom of my colum list - i just bounce it up to column 4 using the up arrows
5. SAVE CHANGES
then everything starts working OK again.
There seems to be nothing wrong with my sql as I can make it works on a new page or after I run the above steps, so I guess something is breaking somewhere but I cannot work out what.
Has anyone else seen this? Does anyone know the cause? Does anyone have a fix for this that does not involve the above steps (plus redeployment to prodcution and all the work that involves)?
I am seeing this on version 2.3 and 3.0.

Value Help Not Working and Values Not Showing in BPS0

I have custom characteristics transported from a BW 3.5 system to a NW2004s. I have maintained master data and activated master data. When I try to do the value help selection from inside maintain, I don't see the characteristic values. In BPS0 the values are not registering and the variables are failing cause they say there are no master data values. How to resolve?

I also noted the anomaly only occurs with custom characteristics, transported from a 3.5 system to a NW 2004s system and have NO attributes assigned to the characteristic. Those custom ones that have attributes show up fine.

Actually I get dropdown in editmode but when without selecting dropdownlist if I update it it select first value of dropdown list.
if have two dropdownlist in gridview and I want to update only one I cant do this every time I have to select both
