Show virtual keyboard for cyrillic

Hi,
I'm a native austrian using german keyboard layout. As I'm learning russian, I use this snippet to be able to switch between german and cyrillic keyboard layout by pressing both shift keys:
setxkbmap -option grp:switch,grp:shifts_toggle,grp_led:scroll de,ru &
To make it easier to find the cyrillic letters I'd like to have a virtual keyboard if I switch to the russian layout. The best solution would be, if the virtual keyboard would be switched on and of by the shift keys so that it automatically "syncs" with the russian layout.
Did somebody get this done? I'm on Openbox.

You can't do that.
create a virtual text box, and when the user clicks on it, show a real form with a textbox. It will then also show the virtual keyboard.

    Hi,
I'm using a Motorola A780. Entering text is done by using a virtual keyboard for the touchpad. How can I show this keyboard in a Canvas or GameCanvas for entering text ?

  • Ipad show a keyboard for password, old password no longer works

I use my old iPad 1 (MC49LL) only as a great GPS in my motorhome. I use a new iPad Air for everything else. But somehow, the old unit no longer shows the regular touchpad for my password; it shows a keyboard. And my old password no longer works--the same I have used for years on all my Apple devices. I tried resetting the unit with iTunes, but the it is still calling for a password with a keyboard, and is requiring a longer and longer time between tries. Has anyone experienced this? Any idea how to get past this?

Due to security vulnerabilities, rolling back to Firefox 4.0.1 is not recommended. Firefox 3.6.18 would be the safer choice.
Here's the process to roll back:
First, I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Backing+up+your+information Backing up your information]. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)
Next, download and save Firefox 3.6 to your desktop for future installation. http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all-older
    Close Firefox 5.
You could install Firefox 3.6 over it (many have reported success) or you could uninstall Firefox first. If you uninstall, do not remove your personal data and settings, just the program.
Unless you have installed an incompatible add-on, Firefox 3.6 should pick up where you left off. If there are serious issues, please post back with details.
Note: I haven't actually tried this myself!

    lots of questions
    - how to start the okr process:
options are the same, if you select it under windows, windows will restart.
    - are there any important choices (questions) that I have to make (answer) during the okr process? i mean really important choices, not like language, time or user name choice, etc.
    nope.if application asks click "next"
    - would it be possible during to okr process to change the size of the partitions in my hard disk? presently I have local disk c:  187gb and lenovo d: 30gb. i would personally prefer to have c around 100gb and the rest to be d:. disk c: should contain windows, drivers and programs, and d: my personal files, like photos, musics, movies.
if you make changes on volumes, one key recover will stop working.
    - after okr is over, i will get the computer:
    c.
as it was shipped to me, with windows, drivers and all the lenovo preinstalled programs like veritouch, veriface, smiledock and others, that I have already removed as useless for me.
    - should i perform any backup prior to okr? i have no personal files on this computer, i.e, absolutely nothing to loose. presently i backed up (onto my flash drive) only the drivers from the lenovo d: disk.
if you have external dvd rom, i suggest you to burn factory default backup, just in case.
    - does the system sit in \\?\volume{64...} where it is going to get recovered from? i do not see this partition in windows explorer, but i do see it in defragmenter.
there's a hidden partition for system & recovery files.it's better not to see cause if you see hidden partition under windows, one key recover stops.

  • How can i do a virtual keyboard for a touchscreen application?

    anyone have some idea?

If you want a program to respond to the touch of a finger (or other object) to the screen, then you need special hardware. If you want to respond to a mouse pointer, see this applet program that's part of the demo programs included with the JDK: demo\applets\ImageMap

  • Virtual Keyboard(mouse keyboard) in adf

    Hi All,
I am developing an application using adf(jspx pages) in which on a jsff page i need to show virtual keyboard for entering password fields....normally we have this facility while login to our internet banking...is it possible using adf?? and how??
    Any help will be appreciated.

While there is not component for this - you can probably just put a bunch of commandButtons on your form - and when you click them update the value of a field in your Form to add the new letter at the end.

i have not used one of these types, but was looking to with my e90 a while back.
i currently use a logitec bluetooth KB all the time on with my e90, it works great.
only challenge i had is when you are setting up email boxes, it doesnt seem to remember some of the keystrokes. so you have to use the handset to do that.
otherwise, the phone works faster with the bluetooth keyboard then tapping the phone itself!  :/
i also used it on an e71 for a short period of time.
    same results.

  • Errors on French virtual keyboards under ios6

    Hello,
There is a very annoying error on the French virtual keyboards for the ipad under ios6  - when you hit the .?123 button it shows the pound (£) sign rather than the euro [€]. To find the euro you have either to press and hold the pound sign, or hit the #+= button. Not at all logical, and highly impractical.
This was not the case under ios5 - the euro sign was the default on the numeric keyboard and holding it down showed other currency signs, which is how it should be. Why on earth has it been changed ?
I also wish that the numeric keyboard didn't automatically return to the alpha keyboard when you hit the spacebar. Extremely annoying when typing phone numbers for example, or if you want to type numbers followed by a space and a dash.
How can I report these problems to Apple, please ?

    hey aLicer,
did you find a solution to your problem,
I am having the exact problem but with eclipse 3.11 and Nokia prototype_2_0_S60_MIDP_Emulator
if you have found a solution can you please let me know because I really need to know as I have spent weeks on this stuiped thing ?
    thanks a lot

  • Virtual keyboards on touch screen phones

Hi, Can I activate virtual keyboard in a touch screen phone using J2ME? My application (developed using J2ME) takes input through keyboard in a textbox (this textbox is a custom item and drawing on a Canvas). I can't use my application on a tocuh phone, because i need the activate virtual keyboard. How can i open/close the virtual keyboard for entering text in touch phone?

Just an untested suggestion. Maybe you could Display#setCurrent a TextBox (or a Form containing just one TextField) when your CustomItem receives the focus. Then the touch screen device's implementation should take care of launching the keyboard as appropriate. You would need a Command (e;g; 'Done') to return to the Canvas.

  • Internet banking's virtual keyboard isn't responsive,why?

in my laptop, the Internet banking's Virtual Keyboard for Login & Payment methods doesn't work.Solution/Settings please.

Thank you for the response. After careful contemplation of the situation, it almost appears that there is a compatibility issue when accessing this website on Google Chrome. I located a resource with minimal troubleshooting and decent information you can apply: http://www.chromium.org/Home/chromecompatfaq
Also, out of curiosity, I would like you to try performing the exact same task in a different user account. If it doesn't work on another account, just attempt the task on a different computer. This will narrow down the possibilities of error.
Please respond as soon as possible. I will continue to research the issue in the meantime.

Three keys of my keyboard are not working, the cap one, the return key and the space bar, while the virtual keyboard shows to others keys highlighted in orange (^ and `); How to fix it? I writing now with a bluetooth keyboard.

All new keyboards need Snow Leopard 10.6.8 and above for full functionality.
Rather short-sighted of Apple perhaps, but that seems to be a trend these days.
I'm afraid the only fix is to upgrade to SL. Personaly, I'd take it back and get a refund and seek an older keyboard or a third-party one elsewhere.

  • How do I implement a virtual keyboard?  I will compensate for assistance.

I have created a simple Adobe Air Windowed Application.  The application uses the mx:HTML controls to load a web page inside my application.  I have tried other means to load the web page but due to formatting issue, all other methods fail to load the page correctly.  Any solution will need to use the mx HTML controls.
I have added a virtual keyboard to my project.  However, when I enter a text field and then select a key on the virtual keyboard, I lose focus on the text field.
I understand the concept of event listeners and using a variable to store the text field id and using a focus event to gain the id of the text field.  However, I am not a programmer by no means and this is way above my head.  I am looking for someone to spend 30 or 60 minutes adding the needed code to my project so I can use the virtual keyboard.  I would be willing to send someone a gift card to their favorite restaurant as compensation.
I have included the 4 files that make up my project (File names are in read text).
Your help will be greatly appreciated.
    Best regards,
    Joe

    Best regards,
    Joe

A word document was emailed to me.  I can open the document without a problem on my iPad 2.   Is there a way for me to type on the document.... to fill out the form?  When I click the fields, the virtual keyboard does not appear.

If you want to edit a word document then you will need an app on your iPad that supports word so that you can copy them to it via 'open in' e.g. Apple's Pages app or a third-party app such as Documents To Go or QuickOffice HD
