Showing highlight areas in Curves other than with mouse

I want to set the highlight and shadow sliders in Curves but am finding the mouse a pain to use because it is not sensitive enough. When trying to set the shadow slider to just under the darkest region (no clipping), I typically do this:
1. Option-Click the black slider and drag it to the right until the shadow detail appears.
2. Back off until it disappears.
Trying to do that with a mouse is fiddly, not helped by the hysteresis in the system. Say the first shadow detail appears at level 15. When you reverse and go to 14, the shadow detail increases. That is another pain.
Anyway, I'd like a method that uses the arrow keys to show me the shadow and highlight areas.
Am I in luck?

If your just using a curves adjustment, not a curves adjustment layer, then
you can check the Show Clipping box, click on either the highlight or shadows
slider, highlight the numbers in the box and use the arrow keys.
With the new style adjustment layer panel, that doesn't seem possible.
What you could do is record an action making a new curves adjustment layer
and make sure the show dialog is on.
This will get you the old style curves adjustment layer dialog which works like the
regular curves dialog as above.

I've been having this problem too, but here's the catch: originally it was only with my dad, and only sometimes. Now it's dad and husband, every time! Pix go through, via imessage, to everyone else, and they go through to dad/husband if I "send as text" after it fails.
And the other annoying thing- the blue bar will run all the way, and it will say "delivered". So I close out of imessage. When I reopen it again, the "delivered" has changed to "not delivered" with the red exclamation point. I just googled "imessage not sending photos" and founds TONS of people with the same problem, but no solutions. (I have rebooted phone, reset network settings, with no luck. I even had to backup/delete/restore my whole phone the other day for a different reason, and hoped that would fix it, but now it won't send to my dad OR my husband (who is on not just the same carrier, but the same family plan as me)

This problem can be solved by the following ways:
1) Try opening the Content Navigation pane (left-hand side), in the pane fly-out turn on "Find Content fromSelection", select the text in question, and then delete/edit the text using the Content Pane instead of inside the Document Pane.
2) Create a blank PDF that has the same dimensions as the original PDF. Just print a blank page from Word and change to landscape orientation. Select the object that contained the text that had given the error (it contained more than the text), cut it, and paste it into the blank PDF. Edit the text in new PDF. Then again cut and paste it back into the original document.
3) In previous version of Acrobat, rotated text editing was not supported and hence the warning is appearing. But for normal text editing happens. This problem has been fixed in A11. So if you are trying to edit text which is other than horizontal or vertical, then those warnings are expected in Acrobat 10.

What are the options other than iCloud for a "full" iPone backup?

With iCloud you have limited options to increase the size of the capacity for backups:

With such a big gap between 20gb and 200gb, I am looking for feedback on other cloud options other than iCloud that will backup everything on my new iPhone 6.

Managing the backup of your phone starts with knowing what is backed up, what is NOT, backed up and how to manage your data/phone content.
What is NOT backed up to icloud:
Apps, music, and any other iTunes purchase.
What IS backed up to icloud:
your personal information, settings and data
if you open settings, icloud, storage, manage storage, show all apps.
this shows your app data amounts in decending order. You can turn off backup for any app that doesn't need iCloud backup. For example, I use Dropbox which auto uploads all my photo and video when I connect to home wifi, so I do not backup camera roll, so I turn the switch off. I do backup data from other apps, but not all of them.
I backup an iPad and iPod touch to the same iCloud account with the 5 free GBS and have not needed more than that.

I don't know if this is what the original poster means, but when I have tried to use the Lightroom 5 Enhanced Spot Removal Tool for this purpose, I could never obtain a solution that seemed to remove the offending object and fill in the desired area with a relatively continuous and natural looking result. It always seemed clear to me, when I tried to do this, that the result always had un-natural looking discontinuities in the end result caused by my application of the Enhanced Sport Removal Tool.
And so, in my case, to eliminate the dates from the bottom of my photos, I wound up using different software ... in my case Photoshop Elements, which produced a more satisfactory result.
On the left is the version of the photo created by Photoshop Elements, the date is missing (and at the bottom right, a lamp to illuminate the sign is also missing); while on the right is the image with no attempt to remove the date and lamp. My attempts to reproduce the removal of this date via Lightroom were unsuccessful, the grass never looked natural, the grass always had discontinuities which made the result unsatisfactory, and I did not save the Lightroom attempts to remove the date and lamp. (And if you look carefully on the left, you can see places where the shadows abrupty have disappeared, an artifact of the process, however I still deemed the photo on the left to be successful at the removal of these items, as I don't usually focus on the shadows)

Some of my highlights are working but others aren't.

I am very new to encore and have been picking up little bits here and there from online tutorials.
I have created my own menu using Photoshop CC with rectangle highlights using the (=1) and layer titles.
When I have opened the menu in Encore, 3 of my 7 highlights work and the other 4 are just on constantly. I have looked over the the different layers but can't see what the difference is between the working layers and the ones that aren't working.

I want to show the data in the ALV column other than contains in the actual field for this column. Fot this purpose I use method   SET_TEXT_FIELDNAME of the interface IF_SALV_WD_COLUMN_REF. Unfortunately, I still see the contents of the actual field in this column. What am I doing wrong?

Its easy. Once you obtain the reference of your desired column create an instance of the & then set it to the cell editor. Check the code fragment below:

In the snippet above am changing the cell editors of column by name CHECK to contain a pictogram by name "People" & a static text "My Text". So now all my cells under the CHECK column would contain both the pictogram & the text.

You can try going to Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and setting and then try setting up via iTunes. If still problem then set up via wifi and go to an Apple Store

Keyframes - greater control, curves other than opacity

Keyframes and in particular their curve shape can be controlled in the Compositing:Opacity attribute quite easily.
For Transform and most others, I cannot see any way of adjusting the curve shape.
Is this not possible? Should I assume that the curve for Transform is created as linear?
And if I want a "curve" with ease in/out or similar, I will need to add many keyframes to approximate this?

I am refering to the keyframes you see in the viewer after you have done a transformation on a clip. The viewer shows the motion path with the assigned keyframes. See the pic.

How to get music into iPod library other than with iTunes?

I am using an iPhone video editing app and want to add music to the clips. The option presented is to "add music from iPod library. I am presently traveling abroad and do not have my MacBook to sync music into my iPhone. There is tons of free music available online but the question is how to get any of it into my iPod library. I've tried a third party "download" app but it stores music inside the app, not in the iPod library. Are the only ways to put music in my iPod library either 1) sync from my MacBook or 2) buy from iTunes store? or are there other options?

The Jazz website you showed had Real audio files, and these won't be able to be played in the iPod app anyway.
But there are options for websites with mp3s.
There are apps that can play mp3s and make playlists, and some that can download music from legit websites and then play it.
Do a search for "mp3 play download" in the itunes store.
I have never needed one, but there are a few there that seem to offer what you are asking.
Theuy won't add the music to the ipod app, but they play themselves so that might be what you are looking for.

How to execute 261 goods issue for REM order items other than with MFBF?

Our users are looking for an easy way to post a 261 goods issue for a single component of a repetitive manufacturing order without using the MFBF transaction where they have to deselect all other components of the order.
The ideal situation would be to use a transaction similar to MB1C or MB11 to simply enter the planned REM order, component material id, and its respective quantitiy and then post.
Any information you can provide will be helpful.

Thank you for your response but LT01 does not seem to provide the functionality that I am looking for.
To clarify, our users would like to complete a 261 movement for a single component within a particular repetitive manufacturing, without going into the MFBF transaction and having to deselect all of the unnecessary components just to single out one.
So ideally we would like to use the MB1C transaction for a 261 movement. Enter in a REM order, the material id, and the quantity to be issued and simply post a single material. Currently when we attempt to do this with MB1C we receive the error M7162 that our order, which is a product cost collector, cannot be processed with this transaction.

Becuase GTT (Global temporary table) is actually a physical table in Oracle with different level of data persistency (Transaction level and Session Level)
SQL Server offers temporary table in which the table itself is not persistent. The table is automatically dropped (Not sure how it works, as not an experienced SQL Server person)
The WITH clause in SELECT is Just a Named Query. Oracle optimizer can materialize the result set of the subquery in the WITH clause and reuse it.
