Sidebar is not persistent

FF 7.0.1 on Win7-64. I can enable the bookmarks sidebar (via menu or CTRL-B) but after closing and restarting FF it's gone again. I have already tried the suggestions from https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Preferences are not saved
(no user.js, deleting prefs.js, fixing localstore.rdf)
but nothing helped yet.

I think I finally got it to work. I have a second computer (same setup) where it works. So I compared the localstore.rdf files and found the problem.

The sidebar was enabled but the width was empty so in effect disabled. Also closing a browser with the sidebar showing didn't change this value. After manually entering a value I can now open a new browser window with sidebar enabled.

Lion Wiki Server - Custom sidebar will not save

I have migrated a 10.6 Server installation with a fairly large wiki over to 10.7 Server. The upgrade seemed to go smoothly, however I have found that I cannot add a new custom sidebar. It allows me to click the button to create a new one, enter the Label and the Tag, but when I click "Save", it drops me back to the General section of the wiki and the custom sidebar was not saved.
I've seen other mentions of this issue, but the solutions did not solve the issue. I have 4 total wikis and it affects all of them. I also created a new wiki and the issue persists. Erasing and starting over is not an option for me at this point.
My Lion Server is bound to an OD Master and all the permissions seem to be fine. Anyone have any suggestions?

Ok, I made it happen! Here is what I did:
DELETED com.apple.net.racoon entry from Keychain
DELETED /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.RemoteAccessServers.plist
DELETED /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.ppp.l2tp.plist
In Server.app, turned off VPN Service with the big ON/OFF button
Rebooted computer
In Server.app, inputed the settings and switched to ON
The settings stayed on, the shared secret did not disappear and I was able to connect to the VPN from outside my network.

User profile images not persisting after log off on Server 2012 R2 RDS Session Hosts

Hi,
We have a 2012 R2 remote desktop deployment, with two session collections, a gateway server, and connection broker.
We have set these session collections to use centralised user profile disks.
What I am having an issue with, is that when a user sets their profile image through the server they have logged on to (I have the desktop experience pack installed so they are able to do this), they can see the user tile has been set with that image in
settings and also on the start menu, but as soon as they log off the server and back on, their profile image has been reset to the default blank image.
I have checked all of my group policy options, and cannot find any settings that could be impacting this.
Does anyone have any ideas why these images are not persisting for users or admins?

I am developing a JSF - EJB application and the data that I send from JSP Page through JSF Managed Bean --> Session Bean --> Java Persistence does not persist in database.
Here is my scenario ( Iam using JDeveloper IDE to create this application) -
SCENARIO START
The scenario consists of two web pages, one enlisting all the users stored in the database, the other contains a form for adding a user

If you set a breakpoint in your createUser method - does this code get executed?

I am developing a JSF - EJB application and the data that I send from JSP Page through JSF Managed Bean --> Session Bean --> Java Persistence does not persist in database.
Here is my scenario ( Iam using JDeveloper IDE to create this application) -
SCENARIO START
The scenario consists of two web pages, one enlisting all the users stored in the database, the other contains a form for adding a user
1.) INDEX.JSP
2.) ADDUSER.JSP
Step 1: Create the USERS Table in database

Step 4: ENTITY BEAN - In the EJB Node Right Click and Select EJB � New Entites from Table (JPA/EJB3.0)
Use The Wizard and create Entity Bean from Users Table which creates an Entity Bea POJO file as follows �

Now, When I execute Index.jsp, it does not list values from database and when I click on Create User link, it takes me to adduser.jsp page. When I fill values in this page and click Save button, it takes me to Save Failed page and data does not persist to the database.
WHAT IS WRONG OUT HERE ???

If you set a breakpoint in your createUser method - does this code get executed?

I would first of all trash the preference file for InDesign, make sure the application is closed then find the prefs in
/Users/USER NAME/Library/Preferences/Adobe InDesign and just throw the entire folder away, it will generate a new one after you launch InDesign again.
Now launch InDesign and see if the problems are resolved.
If not I would repair your permissions on your hard drive wih disk utility, and if that fails then di-install InDesign and re-install that single application.

Cannot get past Firefox 6 without probelms with Bookmarks sidebar. Sidebar will not scroll and folders will not open to reveal bookmark contents. Had this problem with Firefox 7 and again with Firefox 8. Would like to use latest version for security reasons, but it is useless to me if I can't access bookmarks

Bookmark sidebar will not scroll and bookmarks will not open in Firefox 7

After updating Firefox to version 7, I am unable to use the Bookmarks sidebar. The sidebar will not scroll, nor will any of the bookmarks respond to a mouse click to open them. Had to uninstall 7 and go back to 6. Any fix for this?

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

Although possibly not related to your problem, I will remind you that the version of Firefox you are using at the moment has been discontinued and is no longer supported. Furthermore, it has known bugs and security problems. I urge you to update to the latest version of Firefox, for maximum stability, performance, security and usability. As for your issue, you may be having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not coming from one of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do that easily and cleanly, run Firefox in [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode safe mode] and select ''Disable all add-ons''. If the problem disappears, you know it's from an add-on. Disable them all in normal mode, and enable them one at a time until you find the source of the problem. Online course progress is not persistent

I'm doing the online course: Ref: WJB-110-SE6: Fundamentals of the Java(TM) Programming Language
I have completed several sections of this course. It seems that progress entries are not persistent from the previous session (after a logout followed by a login).
So, each time I log in, I have to start at the beginning again.
Please advise.

Ah. I missed that. If you are using container managed transactions then you need to change from RESOURCE_LOCAL to JTA and set the target-server property. You also need a JTA datasource. Here's an example from http://wiki.eclipse.org/EclipseLink/Examples/JPA/WebLogic_Web_Tutorial#JTA_Datasource
Note that in an EE application there is no need to list your classes.
