Sign on: Notifacation Yes

What does the security related profile option: Sign-on:Notification Yes actually tell the end user in terms of security?

Sign-On Audit can track user logins and provide users with a warning message if anyone has made an unsuccessful attempt to sign on with their application username since their last sign-on. This warning message appears after a user signs on.
You or your users can activate this feature using the Personal Profile Values form by setting the "Sign-On:Notification" user profile option to Yes.
You do not have to audit the user with Sign-On Audit to use this notification feature.

  • Sign-on:Notification Yes

    We have set Sign-on:Notification to "Yes", and tried to test this and someone else tried logging in with an incorrent password using my username but when I resigned in genuinely there was no warning message about this ? Any idea why?

    Got the document, although it relates to an old version of the E-Business Suite. It is applied to any release that does not have ATG RUP 4 applied.
    Is the Sign-on:Notification linked to Sign-on:Audit profile option, or are they independant of one another.The latter.
    You do not have to audit the user with Sign-On Audit to use this notification feature (refer to the other thread).

  • Folio Builder Sign-In Issues (yes, I know I'm the 1,000th person to post this!)

    I'm about to go insane... I can't sign into the Folio Builder panel in InDesign CC (v9.1 x64).  I must have been asked 12 times today to sign into CC, and accept the license agreement another 6 times.
    I was signed into the Folio Builder panel most of the day with no issues, but now it won't let me.  I get the sign in dialog, but when I enter my credentials, the dialog just goes away and nothing happens!
    This isn't the issue where deleting the OOBE folder solves it (I tried that just to see, anyway).  I had this happen last week and had to delete InDesign and completely reinstall it before I could sign in again.  Just for the record, I only have CC programs installed, no other CS versions of anything...  and I'm on a Windows 7 machine.
    I'M GETTING SICK OF INSTALLING INDESIGN CC OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN!  Sorry, just a bit frustrated...
    Is there any simple, long-term fix for this??
    Help!!

    I'm not signing into another Adobe account, I'm signing into another Windows account on my Windows 7 machine.  So, I don't lose any folios, etc, as I'm still using the same Adobe ID to sign in.
    I was having issues staying signed into Creative Cloud a while back as well, and I used the "create a new admin account" trick to solve my folio builder issues as well.  See the post here:  http://forums.adobe.com/message/5651099#5651099  The Adobe person provides links to creating new admin accounts for Mac and Windows users.  Follow the instructions, and try this route if uninstalling and reinstalling InDesign didnt' work.
    Also, just as a side note, I have been using the folio builder panel yesterday and today without any issues... so if you can't sign in, then it "probably" isn't a widespread issue.  I know that doesn't make you feel any better, but I'm hoping this is a localized issue that Adobe can pinpoint and provide an accurate, repeatable solution for!

  • How do I sign back in to iCloud on my Mac after signing out in order to fix a keychain issue?

    I signed out of iCloud, following directions on how to fix a keychain issue with all my devices.  I was to sign them all out then sign back in on the one with the most info, which is my Mac.  I opened Preferences, then iCloud, but the button with "Sign Out" which I assumed would be a toggle does not produce an option for signing back in!  Help!

    So the iCloud button in System Preferences still says "Sign Out"?
    Yes, it is a toggle.  If it says "Sign Out", then you are signed in!  Sign out, then sign back in.

  • ACS 4.1 PEAP using public signed certificate (verisign)

    Hi,
    Could you give me some advice about the PEAP implementation with ACS server. I undestand that self-signed certificate should work well but I have this thoughts. The self signed certificate is valid for 1 year and after this period a new self-signed certificate has to be created. What should be the impact on the wireless users at this point? What I undestand is that the new certificate should be also imported to the clients so they can validate the server certificate. If that is correct (not sure though) this will bring huge amount of work when the certificate is expired and having hurderds of wireless clients.
    Is it possible (and what are the requirements of the certificate itself) to install any publicly signed certificate like Verisign's one to the ACS for the PEAP process? Will that ease the workload when the certificate has to be renewed? I  assume that any windows machine for example, has by default trusted root certificates - Verisign in its store and no further interaction should be needed on the client side.
    kind regards
    Boris

    hi there ..
    First we need to understand why a cert is importnat. A cert is used to create a tunnel that allows the wireless client to send their logon in a secure fashion. So if you could image a tunnel over wireless/wired between your client and the radius server.
    The idea of trusting the cert is SPECIFIC to the wireless client . You can choose to TRUST the cert or NOT. Totally client independent. Why this is important, suppose for a moment that someone comes into your place of business and broadcast from their AP your SSID. Your clients could attach to this AP. And suppose the run FREERADIUS on a small box. From this radius server this person sends a BOGUS cert. If you client isnt trusting the correct cert or not trusting ANY, your client will accept the bogus cert, build a TLS tunnel, and send their logon.
    Can you get a signed cert. Yes, most folks do as it eases deployment. Or if you have a PKI you can push your own cert.
    Also, note you can have your client really analyze the cert and only trust specific certs and cert common namesl exmaple ACS01-ABC.
    I hope this helps ..
    Please support the rating system if you find any of this helpful!

  • Signing jars using -tsa

    Hi,
    During my build process, I was using the tsa as https://timestamp.geotrust.com/tsa to sign my application jars.. But currently I see this TSA is down. Hence I'm not able to sing my jars.
    Could you suggest me, are there any free TSAs available that I can use to sign my jars.

    Yes It has to do with swing.
    I used the following command in ant.
    <target name="signjar" depends="cpappletjars">
         <signjar jar="${dir.webapp}/fileupload/*.jar" alias="me" storepass="applet" keystore="${dir.webapp}/fileupload/myKeyStore"/>
         <delete file="${dir.webapp}/fileupload/myKeyStore"/>
    </target>
    It worked fine for windows but for linux it gives error as "unble to open file *.jar "
    Can u please let me know where I am gone wrong ?

  • Using a Mac laptop and Airport to get on to Xbox Live

    There are numerous threads floating about on this though most didn’t seem to work for me however I have managed to get this working and thought it may be useful to share my technique.
    FYI I am using an early 2008 MBP 2.4 running OS X 10.5.2
    1. Connect your laptop using an Ethernet cable to your Xbox 360.
    2. Open System Preferences -> Sharing and enable Internet Sharing; ensure that you select Share Your Connection from Airport using Ethernet.
    3. Now select System Preferences -> Network -> Airport and click on Advanced. Select DNS and copy down the two DNS Server numbers there. (Other guides suggest that when you enter the DNS number on your Xbox that you use your IP Address however this didn’t work for me.)
    4. Open Terminal and type in “ifconfig en0” Copy down your inet number.
    5. Switch on your Xbox and navigate to the Network settings menu -> Edit Settings.
    6. Manually enter the following data into the fields:
    a. Under the IP address enter your inet number but increase the final digit by one. I.E. if your inet number was 192.168.2.1 change this to 192.168.2.2
    b. Under Subnet Mask enter 255.255.255.0
    c. Under Router/Gateway enter the inet number as it was initially. I.E. 192.168.2.1
    d. Once you’ve entered these numbers select done, a window will pop up and ask if you want to test these settings. Select Test Xbox Live. A second window will require your permission to sign out, select Yes and run the test.
    e. Move onto the DNS settings and manually enter the Primary and Secondary DNS Server numbers which you got earlier.
    f. Follow the instructions as in step d.
    g. You should now be able to connect to Xbox live.
    I hope you can follow my instructions and if used, I hope it works for you too.

    Move or copy the iTunes library from the old computer to the new computer.
    iDevices are not and have never been backup devices.

  • If I install iCloud to my pc, will I be able to get access to the skype chat history stored on the iPad app?

    So my computer with itunes broke down 5 weeks ago. I haven't backed up my ipad or synced it with a computer  since. I want to download or get access to my skype history, stored on the iPad, from my pc and don't know how to. If I backup via iCloud, will I be able to get access to my skype history from that?
    I'm afraid of installing itunes on another computer and connecting my ipad to sync as I don't want it to erase everything during the sync.

    I’m having problems using the Upgrade tool, using the internal TFTP server try as I might I can’t persuade that there isn’t a firewall or ACL blocking TFTP:
    -          I’ve tried using v3.2 and v3.4
    -          I’ve tried using different machines
    -          I’ve turned off all firewalls and removed all ACLs from the APs
    -          I’ve traced the route across the network and can’t see any reason why any traffic would be blocked between the two
    -          I can confirm from the TACACS server that the upgrade tool is authenticating
    ===============================================================================================================
    Using the external TFTP Server I can’t persuade it to work as there seems to be a fault in the script that the upgrade tool tries to run, I’ve looked throught the log the important bit seems to be below where it tries to answer exit to a yes/no question:
    KCHCam.Gnd.Ap1130.4(config)#crypto ca enroll CISCO_IOS_SSC_Cert
    The router has already generated a Self Signed Certificate for
    trustpoint TP-self-signed-3298014188.
    If you continue the existing trustpoint and Self Signed Certificate
    will be deleted.
    Do you want to continue generating a new Self Signed Certificate? [yes/no]: yes
    % The fully-qualified domain name will not be included in the certificate
    Generate Self Signed Router Certificate? [yes/no]: exit
    % Please answer 'yes' or 'no'.
    Generate Self Signed Router Certificate? [yes/no]:  test ssc enable
    % Please answer 'yes' or 'no'.
    Generate Self Signed Router Certificate? [yes/no]: show crypto ca certificates
    % Please answer 'yes' or 'no'.
    Generate Self Signed Router Certificate? [yes/no]:
    The failure message is below:
    2010/08/10 11:17:50 ERROR       172.16.130.154  Unable to Get Root Certificate Status
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Chris

    Have you try remove domain configuration on your autonomous ap? or just write erase and try again.
