Signature Images to be fetched according tocurrent user in Crystal report.

Hi Experts
I am creating Report in which client wants the current users Signature picture to be fetched in the report at footer level.
I have inserted the image on the report .
but i am unable to apply logic that how the current users Signature picture will be fetched.
Expert Suggestions ???

Hi,
You may need an UDT to link all Signature Images to user names or codes to use them.
Thanks,

  • How to show full name of user in crystal report

    Hi. I am using Crystal Report 2008. I need to show full name (first name and last name) of the user logged in. Currently I am using "currentceusername" but it shows the user id that a user uses to login.
    Is there any way to show the full name of the user in crystal report?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello,
    Not you H4... Can I suggest if someone replies to actually add something of value!!!!
    Cr does not have the ability to query your AD Server. What you would have to do is use a AD query tool or Export Option and export the user info from the log on ID into a Excel or an Access table or something CR could report off of. Then you can add a subreport to get the name from the ID and insert it into the main report.
    Check with your IT department, they should have tools to get the info. I'm not sure if there is a DB connector that would allow you to query the AD server directly but if there is one and it supports ODBC then you can use that as your subreport Data connection.
    Typically names do not change that often so rather than running the Query every time the report is generated it would be better to export the info to a text type file and simply use it for your report. IT can put a rule on to export if the Names change.
    Thank you

  • How to create user editable Crystal Report with dynamic dataset

    What I would like to achieve:
    A program loads a report in runtime updates list of database fields (possibly includes sample data), open report in "Crystal Reports 2011" (or 2008) where user customizes report and saves it. Later on the program loads the report, fills actualized data and displays it in .net report viewer.
    What I do:
    CrReport = New CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument
    CrReport.Load(TemplateFilename)
    Dim Results As DataTable
    DataTable is filled from a database
    CrReport.SetDataSource(mResults)
    CrReport.SaveAs(NewReportPath, True)
    The NewReportPath is opened in the default program.
    What are the problems
    The report is open in preview mode (not in design).
    When the field is added to the report the designer asks for XML datasource on preview.

    The short answer is that it is not possible. I broke the question to other two: How to save a report that it opens without preview? and How to create user editable Crystal Report with dynamic dataset, where it is possible to find details. Key answer is Re: How to create an editable previewable report?

  • Does end user need Crystal Reports to run saved reports

    This seems like such a simple question, but I am unable to find the answer in the documentation, so here it goes.
    On UCCX does end user need Crystal Reports to run save custom reports that were created using Crystal Reports

    Hi
    No, UCCX comes with the 'Historical Reporting Client' which contains a Crystal runtime that renders the reports.
    You only need Crystal Pro if you wish to author new reports for the system.

  • Images from web path won't show in Crystal Reports XI R2

    Hi, I have a problem with my Crystal Report XI R2. I am trying to get images from web as well as static google map using OLE object. After setting the Graphic Location. No images are shown. I am using Windows XP SP3.
    Also, I tried to create a simple report using same program and version installed in my Windows 7 Laptop. I inserted OLE object with graphic location from web like http://www.domain.com/image.jpg and it appears... same as with google static map with given latitude and longitude. And it works!
    Is there any problem with my windows XP machine? any video card issue or dot net version issue or firewall issue?
    Please help. Thanks

    To add to Don's reply. Fiddler is a great HTTP sniffing utility that should be able to tell you what is happening as far as the permissions, etc., etc.

  • How to automatically/programmatically "publish" reports for local users of Crystal Reports 2011?

    Hi,
      I'm not sure if I'm using the correct Crystal Reports terminology here, so apologies in advance.
      We've got Crystal Reports 2011 and are developing an application which comes with a number of report files (.rpt) as part of its installation. These reports are used to provide a view onto the database that our application writes to.
      Is it possible to automatically manage the collection of reports that are available to users of the Crystal Reports application? Ideally this would be done as part of our application's installation/upgrade procedure. In the case of upgrades, it is possible that some report files may be modified, some removed and others added. (i.e. as the application database's underlying schema is modified or new features added/deprecated).
      I believe this could be achieved manually by starting up Crystal Reports and adding and removing reports to/from the Workbench, but we'd like this list of reports to be available to all users on the PC (Crystal Reports is installed on the same PC as our application), and for the update procedure to be something that was automatically scriptable or programmable in something like .NET.
      I've read about the Repository (which sounds like a solution to making reports available for all users), but suspect that this is only usable after some other product(s) has been installed? I'm not entirely sure what products they would be.
      Could you please let us know whether this can be achieved with the version of Crystal Reports we've got, and if so, how?
      The version of Crystal we have is: SAP BusinessObjects, CR Developer, Version 14.0.4.738 RTM, Product Type: Full
      Many thanks in advance,

    CR 2011 does not install any SDK... You can however download SAP Crystal Reports, developer version for Microsoft Visual Studio, which is an SDK that will let you work with VS 2010 and 2012.
    You will then have to decide if you want to use the Crystal Reports SDK or the InProc RAS SDK.

  • Setting Default Preferences for All Users in Crystal Reports Server 2008 v1

    We are currently looking to set the default preferences in the CMC for all of our users.
    I did locate this page Link: [How to set default preferences for all users in Infoview 3.1/CRS 2008]
    The first part of the thread did seem promising but I am unable to find the sample .jsp code that people recommended.
    I would assume that this scenario is common enough that someone knows a way to set universal preference defaults.
    Thank you

    I thought I could just run it too but when I attempt to I get a Windows Script Host error:
    Script: C:\User Prefs.vbs
    Line: 1
    Char: 1
    Error: Expected statement
    Code: 800A0400
    Source: Microsoft VBScript compilation error.
    I noticed the first most line seems to be markup for a web interface though I am not familiar with vbs so I may be wrong.  I used the publishing wizard to put the script on the CMC to attempt to run it through the CMC but it still does not work.

  • Load Multiple Images in Crystal Report using Paths

    Hi Guys,
    I am currently in need of developing a new requirement for our company's client. We have to load multiple images using just link in Crystal Report. Let's say that the images are stored in a folder (e.g., C:\Datafolder\Images\) and i have to fetch two images to show in crystal report (say, C:\Datafolder\Images\imageval1 and C:\Datafolder\Images\imageval2). These are actually dynamically created and therefore the number of images are not known and so i have to iterate through the list of image links.
    Is it possible using merely crystal report and how?. If not, can I do it using Crystal Report SDK?. Any help will be appreciated. Please take note that we're also using C# in developing our software applications.
    Thanks and best regards.

  • Getting Image from database in crystal report

    Hi Experts,
                         I have a user UDF which has Image datatype. I store all the image in C:\Program Files\SAP\SAP Business One\Bitmaps\   folder.Now i have to show this image in my crystal report. When i tried to pick this image from database it gives me only the name of image with extension like abc.jpg . How could i achive this in crystal report.
    Thanks and Regards

    Hi Om
    As you have the location of the image, you can insert it as an OLE object onto the report.
    Click on Insert -> OLE Object -> specify the path of the image.
    For more information, please refer to Crystal Reports help.

    Hi Chito,
    You cannot load multiple images dynamically. Using the 'graphic location' formula for the OLE Object, you can only point to a location that can load one image.
    For the second image, you'll need to manually insert another OLE Object and point the formula to the next image's location.
    You can try posting to the SAP Crystal Reports, version for Visual Studio space to find out whether this can be done using CR SDK.

  • Store signature image in Active Directory and deploy it to each users desktop

    What I am trying to achieve is to have each user a hand written signature scanned in and stored in the .jpgPhoto attribute in Active Directory and then have some sort of script, like our login script, pull that information and copy the file to the users
    desktop.  We are wanting to be able to allow users to apply the signature image on a signature line in Office 2010 or InfoPath forms instead of typing their name.    I know there has to be a way to do this but I have not found it yet and I am
    not very good at scripting.  Is there anyone here that has accomplished such a task and if so, how did you go about doing it?
    David Hood

    We already have Outlook email signatures created from AD information deployed to all users.  Someone else on my team deployed that already and it works great.  But that is just basic user info pulled from fields that were manually entered in
    the user account.  What I want to do is have a user scribble their signature on a piece of paper or a tablet, capture an image of that to crop and resize to store in the AD user account or somewhere secure that can be queried to be pushed to that users
    desktop.  I work at a state government agency and I have heard of another agency doing this but I have no idea how they did it.  The only thing I could think of is to have a script ran during login to query the AD attribute the image is stored in,
    pull it and then copy it to the users machine so when they sign a word document or .PDF with a digital signature they also have the option to place that image in the signature line.
    David Hood

  • Assign signature image to imported digital signature

    I have a user who needs to be able to digitally sign documents for the State while using either his desktop or his laptop.  We have the desktop Acrobat X configured properly, where when he digitally signs a document, the signature image is included in his digital certificate.  To set up the signing on the laptop, I imported the .pfx file into Acrobat X on the laptop under Tools -> Sign & Certify -> More Sign & Certify ->Security Settings -> Digital IDs->Add ID-> from a file, where I browsed to the .pfx file.  I added the signature image under Edit->Preferences->Security->New where I imported the .bmp signature image exactly as I did on the desktop.  However, when he digitally signs a .pdf on the laptop, it just has a generic image of his name, not the signature image.  Where am I failing?

    When you sign, you should see where you can select the signature appearance name from a dropdown in the dialog.

  • Print Signature Image in A/P Check

    Hi,
    I did JDE BI Publisher A/P Pay check report using RTF template with XML file. using <?call-template?> funtion I am printing the signature below the amount value. Right now I included four signature images in the RTF template and calling them when user matches and it is working fine. Like below.
    Templates declarations:
    <?template:Sigrob?>
    image1.jpg
    <?end - template?>
    <?template:Sigmark?>
    image2.jpg
    <?end - template?>
    <?template:Sigbill?>
    image3.jpg
    <?end - template?>
    Calling the templates:
    <?Call-Template:Sigbill?><?Call-Template:Sigmark?><?Call-Template:Sigrob?>
    With four signature images and company logos on the check the RTF template document size is 1.7 MB. Now if I want to handle 50 signatures and more, I have to insert them in RTF document which will increase the document size to 15-20 MB. Any alternate solution to keep all the signature images in a folder or path and access them from RTF template whenever user matches. Please let me know if more details are needed.
    Thanks,
    Vijay Kumar

    Hello Avinash,
    After seeing you answer. I implemented subtemplate concept with import function and able to achieve my requirement.

  • My signature image appears greatly enlarged, how to fix this?

    About a month ago, my signature images started showing up much larger than their original size. Not only are they too big, but they're very fuzzy. This means that each time I have to manually shrink them. What happened that they no longer show up at their original size and can it be fixed?
    Thanks.

    Can you post a screenshot of what you're seeing on that page? In the meantime try this basic fix: make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and try the following:
    1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
         User/Home()/Library/ Preferences folder.
    2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
         User/Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.
    Click to view full size
    3 - launch iPhoto and try again.
    NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto.  You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.

  • Differentiate b/w email attachment and an email signature image attachment

    Hello all,
    I have a java program which checks a particular mailbox periodically for new messages sent by users and once there is a new message, it processes that message and copies that message to a particular record. Also if there are any attachments associated with that email, it will take those attachments and attach them to the particular record. All this is working fine. But when a user who is sending an email has an image as part of his email signature, that image is coming as an attachment to my mailbox and my code is picking up that attachment and appending it to the record as a new attachment. Is there a way to differentiate between the normal attachments that a user sends and the email signature image so that I can check for those image attachments before attaching to my record. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    There's no standard for these sorts of "email signatures" so there's no guaranteed way to detect them.
    A common way to format such a message would be to put the message text as a text/html part
    inside a maultipart/related part, with an image/jpeg part containing the image.
    Normally attachments should be part of a multipart/mixed part, and should have a Content-Disposition
    of "attachment".
    But many mailers play fast and loose with these rules, so you may have to experiment with some
    heuristics to detect such signatures reliably.
