Signature links

I am trying to add links, either text or graphic to my regular mail signature. In both cases, textual or graphical, after added they work for one or 2 emails, then go inactive (unclickable).
What gives? It'd be great to add a small graphical LinkedIn link to your signature.
How can I add live links to my mail signature?

Yes! I am trying to add a linked image to my signature, but I can't get it to encode the HTML. All I get in the signature is the raw HTML code.
There must be a way to do it without adding an image directly to the email.
Anyone?
cheers

    Hello Immunetoall,
    What video links?
Are they stored locally on the computer or are you visiting a website?
    What browser do you use?
Where do these videos link to? (e.g. youtube)
What happens when you click on a video link? Saying "it doesn't work" doesn't really tell me what you are seeing to be able to accurately understand your issue.

  • Email signature links not linking

Hello. After unsuccessfuly trying to import my signatures from my MBP running Mountain Lion to my new iMac running Mavericks, I tried to create new signatures from scratch. I followed the basic guidelines: created a dummy signature, edited it (using TextEdit) so that it looks all nice in HTML, and then attaching it to my account. When I send it to a test account, I see the hyperlinked text as blue, but it doesn't actually link to the URL - it's as if the href links are dead. Here's the signature doc:
    Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit
    Content-Type: text/html;
              charset=us-ascii
    Message-Id: <[email protected]>
    Mime-Version: 1.0 (Mac OS X Mail 7.2 \(1874\))
    <br>
    <br>
    <br>

The signature looks correct when received -- the links just don't go anywhere, i.e. the browser isn't even called, although when the cursor goes over the text, the pointer changes to the hand. I tried locking the .mailsignature file as well as I've seen that advice in a few place, but no effect.

    Wyodor,
    1. It may be messy or it may not. It seems that is opinion as opposed to fact. I am not a designer. I am a guy who has iLife and so I have iWeb & a need. Mac makes it easy for those of us with no designer experience to feel we can do something. It may not be up to designer's standards but it's what we have.
    2. Why two email addresses? One is direct link and the other is in case someone would rather copy & paste the address in case they are at another computer and do not wish to use the default email of the host computer. I don't know. It was a suggestion I took. Doesn't seem harmful to me...
    3. Out of focus? Where? There are no options to focus anything and all it is is typed words. I cannot see how it is out of focus.
    4. I have looked and looked again at these pages. Code means nothing to me. So all I can do is look at the page itself and try to figure things out. What is frustrating is that things look different depending on which computer and which browser I view them on. While working here on iWeb I see certain results but I don't have several computers and every browser available all the time. So how am I supposed to fix anything when it looks fine when I working on it? I just discovered yesterday while at a friend's house that on IE the site had two hit counters I cannot see on Camino, Safari or Firefox. I even thought I had removed the hit counters mostly because I couldn't see them when I put them on.
    5. I have used a font that may not be recognized. But it is recognized on the other pages. My problem is mostly - but not entirely - with this page. All I see is that even where the pages are similar, they read differently. I have nothing blocking these links any more than I might on other pages and yet this one page will not link.
Thanks for your help, though. As I said, the code here is Greek to me. So I cannt use it or even recognize if its helpful...

  • Mail signature links

    Hi All,
When creating an email signature with icon links to other websites at the bottom, the icons go missing after a while.
I have a work email account on outlook, i copy and paste my work email signature to my ipad or iphone in mail -> signature, which works for a while, then after a certain amount of time and then stops. When i send a test email to myself from my ipad or iphone the icons show as blank squares and in outlook (my work email account) where the icons should be i get "the linked image cannot be displayed"
Is there a reason why this happens or a way to stop this from happening?
I have tried copying and pasting again, and even do the ipad or iphone shake once its copied to undo any changes, so that the email signature stays the same.
    Regards

  • Email signatures adding links

If I want to make my web url line of my signature link to my web site I can do so by manually Control -clicking the line in my signature and use the link command. Is there a way to have this be the default for every signature so I no longer have to do this manually each time I add a signature?

Well, d*amn. Was hoping to find a solution to this problem, but I'm having the same issue.
If I highlight text in a Mail message, right click and select Link>Add, and I paste a link in, the OK button remains greyed out. Evidently this is only an issue for some links, but not others.
I can't put in this link: http://albums.phanfare.com/6886050/3509590#imageID=62009083 (even though when I paste it into a browser it works fine)
But I can put in this link: http://www.chicagotribune.com/business/chi-biz-borders-close-michigan-avenue-feb 26,0,4953534.story
Obviously, Mail isn't recognizing the first one as a valid link. I've had this happen on several occasions, so it's not just limited to the above example...

  • Activating signature in Adobe Reader

Hi, I hope someone can help me, although I'm a novice using adobe i know a few features. I've made a form in PDF using adobe acorbat 8 professional and added a signature field. When i test the signature field in professional it works fine, however when i try it in Adobe Reader (version 9.1.0) it doesn't seem to work. When i go to the 'document' tab in menu bar and select sign, the 'sign document' & 'place signature' links are faded out in grey and can not be selected. I've emailed this to my collegues to check and again they are getting the same thing??
Question: how do i activate these menu links and what am i doing wrong?

  • SharePoint 2010 Collect Signatures workflow - no digital signatures?

Hello, I configured a "Collect Signatures" workflow for the content type "Document", then uploaded a MS Word 2010 (.docx) document as content type "Document".  This Word document as 2 empty Signature Line in it.
I then start the workflow, basically 2-stage with 2 person from my Active Directory.  However, what I found is that when I go to my workflow task and click on the "This document requires your signature" link, it pops up a "Workflow Task" box in the
browser.  There is a "Sign" button which I can click to sign but it does not sign on the signature lines inside my Word document.
What am I doing wrong here?  Or does SharePoint 2010 Collect Signatures workflow no longer work with digital sigantures?  Thanks.

    Hello ,
We have chceked by setting up a repro at our end and its not possible to complete the workflow without opening the document . Also below are some additional findings that I have and would like to share :-
    1)      In Office 2007 (Word and Excel) you can click on the office button from the respective application while you have the concerned document open in it. This triggers the collect digital signature workflow and the users signs
it immediately as he can see the popup on the screen. Still he has to go to the task list to complete the task which I would say is a manual process following the workflow task is 100% completed.
    2)      In SPS2010 with Office 2010 we do not have an option to trigger the workflows from within the Office document. Instead you directly go to task list to open the task and click on sign button to complete the task. Here you
still need to open the document again and digitally sign it. The difference is workflow here is not triggered in Office document. Even here it is a kind of manual process except that you don’t see a popup to sign document immediately from Office document
due to the fact that workflow is triggered from SharePoint task list.
    Thanks,
    Manas

  • How to modify a template and use both old/new in the same library without interference

OK first Thank you for reading this and hopefully being able to help me out. I got dumped this project on my desk to update two different templates already published in
share point(2010) years ago. The original developer left the company 4 years ago. Since then anyone that tried to do anything with them made a big mess. I have done some heavy reading and am stuck on few issues.
Please note the templates were created IP 2007 and I will be using IP 2007 to modify them. The temples have a small amount of C# that does not have to be changed. There is also a digital signature linked to them.
After some heavy reading this week. I figured that I need to edit the template from Share point(2010)/IP(2007) and not copy the templates to a different location laptop/desktop
because that will ruin the digital signature. There is also a large volume of submitted forms from these temples. The new version of the temples will be heavily modified deleting rolls columns changing names. My understanding is that since I want to keep the
old submitted forms the way they are and still use the old template to open them. I would need a second version of the original template with all the visual modification to still use the original template's C# digital signatures and any other file that runs
    in the background.
    The plan:
1)Turn off the automatic update to forms/template when a new version of the template is created.
    2) Copy the existing template (.xsn) file to a new document folder in share point(same network).
    3) Change the name of the .XSN file that I copied and modify it??????????? Will keeping the same name interfere with the old template/C# digital signature ect? I would like to change to something like SameName_version_2015 for example. or will changing the
name cut the link to the old C# digital signature? or will it get modify the background files and break the old template/submitted files.
    4) Publish the new template in share point.
    5) Change the data connection to a new directory that I wish to submit all files.
Please advice am I missing anything? and help me understand my step 3 better. Also I would love to get a better understanding of how i can backup and recover everything. Do I simple copy unmodified .XSN files somewhere and publish them if things goes wrong?
Do I need to backup anything else?
I am open to options if I can create a test folder in the share point for safety.
Once again THANK YOU for trying to help.

    Hi, thanks for the reply!
Just to follow up for what we did to disable the delete function for maintaining table records. We hided the Delete button by adding a "MODULE disable_delete" code in Screen Painter. So now only adding records to the table is allowed.
    Thanks,

    b) Signatures
Members are encouraged to include their system details in their signature as this will inform and assist others who may be offering advice. No pictures are permitted in signatures. A single discreet link to a personal website or other online resource is permitted in the signature line. However, the link must not be directed to any site containing subjects listed in the Prohibitions section of these guidelines. Members are not permitted to refer to the signature link in the body of their post text as this will be considered as advertising or board spamming.
    Guidelines and Recommendations
Before creating a new thread, search the appropriate section of the forum first for any existing and related threads. It may be more constructive to all, to advance the knowledge of an existing thread than to create a possibly redundant one. If you find something similar, but believe your topic is unique enough to create a new thread, then do create the new thread choosing your title carefully (see below). Provide some comments as to the existence of the related thread(s) you found and link to them. This will help other users and the moderators to provide the most valuable responses possible.
Post to the correct area - Post new threads in the sections for the particular family of systems, Thinkpads, Thinkcentres, Lenovo 3000, etc. Choose the proper series of systems - T, X, G, H, etc. Moderators will move threads to appropriate sections.
Title threads appropriately. The title of a thread should accurately reflect the subject of the discussion and be as technically specific as possible.  Avoid inflammatory or emotional statements that do not aid the development of the conversation. Thread titles are indexed not only for search functions within the forum, but often externally in Google, Yahoo, etc. Proper thread titles will aid the active members of the Lenovo community, as well as non-members who may be searching more broadly. Example of a good thread title: T Thinkpad Blue Screens after suspend . Example of a bad thread title: Stupid computer locks up - worthless piece of junk. Moderators may alter thread titles to be more meaningful if less than appropriate titles are chosen.
Use pictures to aid understanding and comprehension when appropriate. Screen captures of settings, pull down menus, or error messages can be very helpful in understanding an issue and helping to resolve it. Digital pictures of systems and their environments can also be helpful from time to time. Host pictures externaly, or post to photos area. Limit size to 100K or less. 10M pixel cameras are cool but the resulting file sizes are not. You can check out this article About Posting Pictures In The Forums for more useful details.
Look for ways to advance the richness of the forum. Share awareness of this forum with other users of Lenovo products that you know. Participate in special interest areas. Look for opportunities to mentor junior members - help them along the path to greater knowledge, share shortcuts. Do link to external resources and documents. Members that distinguish themselves by consistently providing quality answers, that advance the collective understanding, and resolve specific problems will attain higher rankings and privileges.
Please restrict off topic discussions to the general area.
There are thousands of online communities dedicated to a wide variety of topics from automobiles, to astronomy, folk arts to fly fishing. This community is dedicated to the Lenovo family of products, services, and the community members who own, use, and benefit from them.
    Country Location
    - Members should denote their country location in their personal profile.  Location is important when offering advice, as sales, service, and product options may not be consistent country to country. Note that community members from other countries may not all share the same understanding of metaphors, social references, or slang expressions. Posts authored with this in mind may be more easily understood by all.  This field is a requirement during registration.

When you're in your Hotmail Inbox, look to the right side of the screen for the Options menu, and choose More Options from the drop-down. In the Writing Email category, click the Message font and signature link. On the next screen, you can change your default font to Arial (as well as changing the font size, if you like).

  • HFM: Where can I specify column type as type in HFM? And also being able to get text value in smartview

    Dear all,
I'm new to HFM (11.1.2.1), and I have a question regarding where I can specify a column type as "Text" not number in web form of HFM. Right now I set "Cell Text" field to "[Default]", but was unable to get the text (HsGetText) in smartview with corresponding POV. The reason I thought was that I didn't successfully store the text in the POV. But how to correctly indicate a column type as "Text"?  Does anyone know the answer?

    Hi there,
I am not sure if I understand what you want to achieve. However, I would suggest to set the Cell Text field to "1" (instead of "[Default]") in order to be able to input/export cell text in a web. form.

  • How to capture element/attribute

We have an export client that converts the Frame file to xml. We are using "LightTitle" element at various places, this element also has an attribute called "LightColor".
When I look at the output xml, I can see all LightTitle elements, but only some of them (2 out of 10) have the LightColor attribute!
How can we capture the attribute associated with a specific element and output it to the final xml?
    Thanks.

If your LightColor attributes do not contain ant content - then they will not be written out - you can change the rules to add a 'dummy' if you need them in the XML - OR -(and probably easier) post process your XML and add the missing elements/attribute pairs based on rules in your XSLT or program...
    have fun.
