Silent print pdf using advanced settings

I have written a program in vb.net and need to be able to print pdf's from wiyhin the program using the Print Dialogue Presets Ie Page Scaling, DuplexMode and Paper Source by Page Size as set in the Advanced Properties of the pdf file.
Ideally this will be done with little or no user input.
How can I acheive this?

For the last page set NumCopies to 1.

Custom colors in FrameMaker 10 not being maintained when printing PDF using Distiller/Professional X

Hello all,
I am working my first tech writing job that requires printed material instead of just PDFs, and I am having problems with the logo colors when it comes to printing them.
I created the two color definitions in FrameMaker 10 (using colors Pantone 485 CVC and Pantone 281 CVC). These colors are used for diagram callouts and doc titles.
I recently upgraded to Distiller X and Acrobat Professional X, thinking that maybe the older versions just didn't support those colors, and I am still getting the same result. Instead of printing the colors I added, the PDF is printed with the default red and blue. FrameMaker is using the CMYK model.
I have a feeling that I just need to adjust some settings, but I don't know whether to adjust Distiller, Acrobat, or FrameMaker. Anyone else have issues when trying to use their company's colors? Any ideas on what might work?

I'm not even sure what printer we use since we send the PDFs out to be printed on a glossy paper (I'm new to the position so I don't have all the details yet). All I use is my Adobe PDF printer. I'm also not using FileMaker, I'm using FrameMaker since I am producing manuals that will be printed, not marketing material or anything with a lot of images. I am just trying to get the logo colors to appear correctly in the PDF so that when it does get printed off-site, the Pantone colors are seen and not the default in the final product. I will post this in the FrameMaker forum as well.

Print PDF using CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES = EXECUTE

I have a requirement to print pdf which is stored in my local drive, I am able to print the pdf using method EXECUTE of CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES, but the problem is, after printing, a adobe page is opening, which client does not want..
So could anyone suggest me to how to resolve this issue.

I'm currently using a 'batch process' in Acrobat Pro on all my Print PDFs (to convert to online PDFs). Guess I'll stick with that then.

Problem on printing pdf using "Adobe default Printer"

Need to save a copy of active pdf using "ADOBE DEFAULT PRINTER" option in print action. I want to perform this task for plenty of documents in folder so i prefer to script and this is achieved through javascript scripting.
In addition, need to change:
"ADOBE PDF options:Smallest file size"
I cant find this property in javascript documentation.

Files - using "save as" (.pdf) or "print as" (.pdf) appear as adobe single-page blank documents. When attempting to open them the following error message appears: "Adobe Reader could not open "filename.pdf" because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded).
Files created under previous versions of Reader are fine. No problem converting an existing .doc to .pdf using Reader 11.0.6

2) Do you get a floating toolbar at the bottom, if yes, choose the save icon from there to save the PDF

Print PDFs using watched folder

Hi,
I am new to Adobe livecycle. I created webservice which generates PDFs in a folder. I want to set that folder as a watch folder and want to print PDFs generated in specific interval. Basically it should figure out if there are any new PDFs and print it to the network printer. I could able to figure out how to set up a watch folder using existing services as a endpoint for watch folder, but none of the exixting services serves exact purpose of printing PDFs from folder. So I am stuck. How should I proceed? Can I create my own process and register it and use it as a end point for watched folder? If yes then how?
Can somebody help me?

Everything is a service in LiveCycle so, yes, generatePrintOuput is a service.
You can create a new process with Workbench (e.g. TestPrint). Then add the generatePrintedOutput step and a print step (from the Output category). Then save and activate your new process. This will become a new service (TestPrint) which you can add an watchfolder endpoint to.
Then drop the file in the watch folder for that new service (TestPrint) and the service will call generatePrintedOutput and print.

Printing pdf using DDE

Hi , I want to print pdf files from Forms 6i using DDE package. If any one has done this type of thing , please send me the code for the same. Please help. I have opened a sample pdf file using DDE with the following code:

You already have a PDF -which you generated- and you want to print it -which you can't-.

Where did the PDF go? Save / Open in the browser, left on the filesystem somewhere...
You really have to try to be more specific about your particular problem otherwise there is no way in the world i will be able to help you.

HP 1200 not printing pdfs/uses default fonts in Word docs

Last week I loaded 10.4.10 to Mac mini and eversince I have not been able to print pdfs from Adobe Reader or print desired fonts from Word.
(I have overcome default to US letter problem in Word)
I have loaded latest drivers from HP site/ installed original drivers from HP disk but these appear to be for OSX rather than 10.4.10.
Any suggestions?

First of all I would try running Repair Disk Permissions. This can help with printing issues, especially after updates.
If you are able to print the same pdf's from Preview that you cannot from Acrobat, then you could try deleting its plist with it closed. If that doesn't help then try deleting and reinstalling Reader.
Re Word, are you getting Courier substitution for the fonts that are not printing or is the line blank where the text should be?

Please advise how to get Apple Mac OSX 10.9.3 withAdobe Reader XI 11.0.07 to print pdf. Able to open the pdf but on selecting print simply comes up with an Adobe red box saying "Cannot print pdf". I believe this is a common problem so expect Adobe have an answer.

Ive configured a weblogic Server with BI Publisher and I have also configured the printing properties of the APEX Server with the following settings:

Print Server Port: 7001
Print Server Script: /xmlpserver/convert
When I want to print the report in a PDF format it returns me the following error:
ORA-20001: The printing engine could not be reached because either the URL specified is incorrect or a proxy URL needs to be specified.
Error failed
I have search for documentation but i cant still print the report.
I would appreciate a lot if anyone of you guys can help me figure this out

Cannot print PDF using Apex Listener

Hey folks,
We're having some issues trying to print reports as PDF's using the latest version of Apex Listener. For some reason, every PDF that is created that we try to open gives an error, saying that it's either not a PDF file or that it's corrupted somehow. We're using Apex 4.2 and for the time being, just the default table layout that Apex provides when printing. I believe our instance of Apex Listener is at the very least connected properly because we can print Excel or RTF without any issues. We've double and triple checked all of our options so I'm very confused as to what is happening. If anyone has any input, I'd be very grateful.

I have a program written in c# that creates several PDF on the HDD. When the creation of de documents(PDF) is finished it needs to print the PDF. On some locations this works and on others it doesn't. But with a weird adjustment it works on every location. Here is the code used. I could use a bit of an explanation why.
This code works on some locations :

Can I create and print PDF using a QB64 program I am writing?

I am obviously not a programmer, but I am writing a program in QB64 for my own use at home. Right now the program generates a text file. Is there a way to have to program generate a PDF file without going to a second program. I currently have to open Wordperfect and generate the PDF report. Thank you for any assistance.

What OS? Have you tried a repair and updates from the HELP menu? The updates may be the key.
