I have a requirement in which atwrt field has to be displayed.so i need a link or similar fields in cawn table with that of ekko,ekpo,mara,marc,makt,..iam unable to find the link between these tables with that of CAWN..

Follow the below procedure For all the tables with CAWN table. You will come to know the relation.
1. Use SQVI transaction,
2. Create a View
3. Enter title,
4. Choose the Data source as Table Join
5. Now use Insert table option.
6. And insert the tables which you want. It will propose the relation between them.

Multiple Date Fields (Fact Table) - Linking with Time Dimension

I have a fact table that has multiple date columns.
I can make a time dimension, but it has to be joined to a particular date column. This becomes difficult because of the limit in having multiple date fields reference one time dimension. I can see possibly
creating a date table which contains all dates, link to fact as well as time dimension table. I am trying to better visualize the table layout on this one. Or are there possibily better ways of looking at this senerio

Finding Sum of grouped lines / Tables EKKO, EKPO

Hi, am using the following tables:
TABLES: ekko,ekpo.
with Inner Join
select ekkobukrs ekkoebeln ekkoaedat ekkobsart ekkoekgrp ekkolifnr ekkowaers ekkowkurs ekkoernam ekpobrtwr
   into CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF TABLE itab from ekko

Basically i want to group the result of this SQL statement by Purchasing Doc (ekko~ebeln) and display the
sum of Gross value (ekpo~brtwr) for the line items of each Purchasing Doc.
Note: i want the Purchasing Doc to appear one time only in the report

ABAP 7.01 Trial Version- No Business Tables( lfa1, ekko,ekpo,kna1 etc)

Hi,
I have installed the ABAP 7.01 trial version from sdn. I have the following queries:
1) There are no business tables like lfa1, ekko,ekpo etc within the ABAP dictionary. Can somebody please guide me how to get the tables. Please note that I didnt the max DB in the complete package. Do I need to install that for the tables.
2) There were 2 rar packages that were downloaded. Do we need to extract both of them and run the extract for both of them as both of the folders appeared to be the same to me.
3) Do we need an internet connection in order to start the SAP Management Console . I found that it doesnt turn green without plugging in the internet wire.
Please answer the above three queries so that I can be completed with my installation.

Logical Data base MSM vs Material master table MARA/MARC

Hi Experts,
What is the different between the logical data base (LDB) and the normal SAP table, for example MSM vs MARA/MARC/MBEW table. ? I mean we usually refer data to the normal SAP table in download or ABAP, what is the use of logical data base (exp MSM Material master) can download data or refer to MSM in ABAP?? Please help.

How to link tables EKKO, EKPO, EIKP and EIPO

What I'm trying to do is create a view based on these four tables. EKPO contains multiple rows with the same values for EBELN. EKKO contains all distinct values for EBELN. I am trying to pick up all rows from both tables where EBELN in EKPO is the same as in EKKO. This is simple enough for a select statement to handle, without creating a view. The tricky part is linking the relevant rows selected from EKKO and EKPO to EIKP and EIPO. I tried using EXNUM to link EKKO, EIKP and EIPO, but I'm not sure that EXNUM contains distinct values for all 3 tables. In the case of EIKP it doesn't matter because the values for the fields I want (VORNU and VORNA) will be the same for the rows selected from EKKO and EKPO. The problem is with linking EIPO to my selections. If I knew that EXNUM was distinct for all rows in EIPO there would be no problem. However, I have seen some cases where multiple rows in EIPO have the same values for EXNUM. If I am using EXNUM in EIPO as a key field I have no way of being sure that the fields I want to pick up from EIPO (NACNU, BEHOE, NACD2, PRUEL and NACN3) contain the correct values I require. An example of what I am trying to do might make this clearer:

   its not necessary to have equal number of entries in two table.. a scheduleing agreement and vendor confirmation is different.
One suggestion.. when you are using for all entries ensure that you have to check that that table is not empty example .
if not gt_ekpo[] is initial.

Datasource for the table EKKO,EKPO, EKBE, BKPF, BSEG

I am having a requirement wher i need to create report for the fields coming from the above tables.
pls let me know if der is any such data source from which i can get data for all the tables EKKO,EKPO,EKBE,BKPF,BSEG.
If der is no single data source then how i have to approach for the same using the standard datasource.
and what should be the link info objects between them if iam going with the separate one.

Is the Belnr in the EKBE table is same as the BELNR in BKPF table of Data source (0FI_GL_4) ???
When i cross verifed i found multible record in BKPF w.r.t EKBE belnr.
Whats the reason for this ? If i created a infoset by mapping the BELNR AND GJAHR of EKBE and BKPF. Do i get the correct record or i have to handle it by some exception.
Also pls let me know how the MM and FI flow related , I means once the MIRO ie billing document is created what happen in the FI side ??

Updating custom field in table EKKO within user exit when PO is saved

I am trying to update a custom field in table EKKO when a PO is saved. I am using FM EXIT_SAPMM06E_013, within enhancement MM06E005. Since EKKO is not a table that can be updated with this user exit, I am using a technic that I read about on SDN where I assign a field symbol to the calling program variable and then am able to access data within EKKO table. But when I pass this data back into the field symbol, for some reason this field is not getting saved when the PO is saved. In debug mode, it looks like this field is getting updated, but when I look in the table after the PO is saved, it is not there. My code sample is below. What I am doing wrong?

Firstly, have you investigated using EXIT_SAPMM06E_008 to set any custom fields you have added in the EKKO_CI / CI_EKKODB structure?.. that might work more easily.
In terms of doing an assign back into a calling program's memory, it can work but it's probably worth setting a break point in your code then stepping through watching the values in EKKO - sometimes you can find subsequent code that re-writes an earlier copy of values back into the structure, thereby preventing you doing your change... SAP does warn this method is for "internal use". Also check in your debugger that it's SAPLMEPO and not SAPMM06E you need.

1.why it is different price between 'net price' and 'condition price'? sometimes, they are different.
2.the net price always is wrong. so i need to get the price in condition tab in item detail.
i sent a OSS to SAP, they told me the talbe KONV is a cluster table, so it can not be join in .
but i need get the exact and correct price from KONV,

our system is AFS SAP. we use me23n to display the purchase order.and there is a request we must group the item by MATNR with the same price and ex factory date (j_3aexfcp).

How to Populate a Dropdown field for a table control with different keys

I have Table control with abt eight columns (fields). Out of these eight field one field is with dropdown list. In table control Project ID is Primary key column. Depending upon this Project ID value, i have different values which is to be populated in dropdown boxes. In table control if there is only one project ID value say 'P000715' i can populate it but when i have more than one project ID (P000715, p000716, P000717.....) in display in rows of table control i want to have different values in my dropdown field corresponding to that row of project id. Experts please tell me how to achieve this functionality.

The only way you may be able to do this is using
MODULE PROCESS ON VALUE-REQUEST. User-programmer F4 help
in your PAI routine.
In this routine you would build the list and get the returned value to update the field.
Something like this.
