Simple and very fast encoder-decoder

I will explain my need with an example;
www.domain.com/photo.jsp?id=23
here id is 23 and people can try every photo by incresing or decreasing the id number. I want to encode the id's while printing the id to screen as url and will decode everytime when i get the request from user.
So i need a very fast and simple logic of encode & decode. I have tested base64 at java but everyone knows the algortihm. Is there any other simple algorithm that i can generate on my own?
What do you advice to me except changing my database and search with hex keys?

believe me its strictly
needed on a photo web site... there are too much
reasons.I can't think of one.1)when ids are sequantial on db users can get the idea which after or before this photo is uploaded
2)when you see the normal integer numbers on ids you can remember it easily and edit the link by hand and see whats going on...
3)When u see user_id is=1 u can understand easily that he is an admin or one of the first member of website
4)when u try the maximum photo id or user id every user can understand how many user or photos are there in website
there are lots of things like above... They may be not that valueble for everyone but i think this have to be.

For however I helped, you're most welcome, Hersul.
Awesome to hear LR2 is working smoothly for you! If you have a good idea what your problems were and how you resolved them, it might help the cause if you elaborated more.
Regardless, its nice to hear you're up-n-running "perfectly." Best wishes it stays like that for you :)

  • Config Manager Agent - after Hardware Inventory High CPU Usage with WMIPRSVE and very fast empty Battery

    Hi there,
since a few days there is on some machines (40-60) a high cpu usage on one core (quad core cpu machines) with the WMIPRSVE.EXE if the HARDWARE INVENTORY CYCLE started.
i try out some tests, read some forum articles and troubleshooting the WMI management but a real problem i doesn´t see.
in some articles i read that hardware inventory runs about minutes up to more hours but some machines runs longer, someone more as 1 day.
here an example of mine PC:
at 8:07 i started Hardware Inventory Cycle, in the InventoryAgent.log i can see that some Collection Namespace are captured.
after a few minutes there stopped and does nothing round about 5.9 hours or better, after 21436.097 Seconds.
For any hints i am grateful. :)

Looks like something in one or both of those wmi queries.  it goes from 8:10:03 to 14:06:43 right around there.  6 hours to do that...
try running those queries from wbemtest manually; and see which one just never finishes.

  • I am thinking of submitting a very simple and very narrow app that performs

a few basic calculator functions that real estate people use all the time. These functions can be found in other more comprehensive calculator apps now on the market, but I think that I can market this app successfully. Does it make sense to develop and submit this, or is it so basic and limited that the reviewer would simply discount it as there are so many other apps that contain this function that are far broader.

It's really difficult for anyone here to say what Apple might or might not deem to be redundant. If you're an iOS developer program member, there are App Store resources and information here:
    http://developer.apple.com/appstore/
that should be of help. But you may not be able to get a definitive yes/no until the app is developed and Apple can see what it does.

  • IDVD6 FAST on G5 Dual 2.0GHz and VERY Slow on G5 Quad 2.5GHz

I just finished a side-by-side test of iDVD6 on a 2.0 GHz Dual and a 2.5GHz Quad and I came up with some VERY disturbing results: The Dual was almost 2x faster encoding the same project as the Quad!
How is this even close to being possible?!
I have done the same test on 3 projects, and it is 100% consistent.
I have absolutely nothing else running on the Quad, but I can have photoshop 7 up and editing photos, downloading for usenet, QuickBooks 2006, and FCP5 open and it does not seem to affect the encoding speed on the Dual more that a couple minutes!
Both the Quad and Dual are pretty much stock except for additional HDDs and some extra Crucial memory.
    Q5 Quad Hardware Overview:
Machine Name: Power Mac G5 Quad
    Machine Model: PowerMac11,2
    CPU Type: PowerPC G5 (1.1)
    Number Of CPUs: 4
    CPU Speed: 2.5 GHz
L2 Cache (per CPU): 1 MB
    Memory: 2.5 GB
    Bus Speed: 1.25 GHz
    Boot ROM Version: 5.2.7f1
    G5 Dual Hardware Overview:
    Machine Name: Power Mac G5
    Machine Model: PowerMac7,2
    CPU Type: PowerPC 970 (2.2
    Number Of CPUs: 2
    CPU Speed: 2 GHz
L2 Cache (per CPU): 512 MB
    Memory: 2.5 GB
    Bus Speed: 1 GHz

Any help or suggestions as to why the Quad is processing SOOOo slowly would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Gary
Dual G5 2.5 GHz Dual Core, 2.5 GB RAM, 500 GB HDD   Mac OS X (10.4.6)

Sorry, I forgot to mention this on my original post, but, while the Dual reported 100% activity on both processors while processing the iDVD project, the Quad was bouncing between 15-25% activity, occasionally dropping to almost 0% activity! Considering that the Quad was only running at most 25%, it finished the project incredibly fast. If the Dual was running at 25%, it would have been close to 8 hours to finish a 2 hour project.
ASIDE: On the Dual, in iDVD 6 I find that encoding of the menus and movie content consistent with Compressor: about 1.5 hours per every hour of video.
On the Quad, Compressor encodes an hour of video in less the 40 minutes, but iDVD is taking about 2 hours per hour of video content.
    A considerable degradation in performance!
Although, I do have the Final Cut Studio, I do like some of the themes in iDVD, especially iDVD6. Unfortunately, because DVDSP4 does not support importing of iDVD6 projects, I have to use iDVD6 to create the dvds (images, never direct to disc). I suppose I could always rip apart a theme and backward engineer it for DVDSP faster that it currently takes the Quad to encode a single iDVD6 DVD.
BTW: I do not have any 3rd party iLife themes or add-ons added to the Quad other than a couple Jam Packs, but on the dual, I have some www.dvdthemepak.com themes installed and it has not affected the Duals performance.
Note: as of yet, I have not done a speed test with the iDVD 5 or previous themes. It may be my next task after I finish up some other projects. Still, using older themes should not affect the encoding of the main video content. But, who knows.. mmm.
    Thanks

  • BPM data increase very fast and want to get suggestion about BPM capacity

    Dear BPM Experts:
I meet a problem with BPM capacity problem. My customer using BPM 11g and every day they
Have 1000 new process, every process have 20-30 tasks, they find the data increase very fast, about 1G/day.
We have done a test about BPM capacity, I create a new simple process named simpleProcess.
which only have three input field, I use API to initiate the task and submit to the next
    person.
we using dev_soainfra tablespace, and we set the default audit level, after insert 5000 task, we find dev_soainfra is reach 362.375M,
So as assume 30000 task will using 362*6=2G database spaces, and because in next phases,my customer want
To push BPM platform to more customers, which means more and more customer will using this platform,so
I want to ask is it data increase reasonable? Do you have capacity planning guide for BPM 11g? and If I want to reduce
Lower The data increase, how can we do?
We have try to turn the audit log off, but it seems useless, it only save 8% spaces.
    Thanks for your help!
    Eric

It looks like you are writing your data to disk every so often.  For that reason, I recommend making it based on the number of samples you have instead of the time.  With that you can preallocate your arrays with constants going into the shift registers.  You then use Replace Array Subset to update your arrays.  When you write to the file, make sure you go back to overwriting the beginning of your array.  This will greatly reduce the amount of time you spend reallocating memory and will reduce your memory usage.

I will be recording a lot of names numbers and email, and i want to know if there is an app that could help me do that very fast, and export it to excel, csv or vcf file. The contact app seems too slow for what i want to do. Thank you in advance .

Hi, thanks for replying. What I mean is an app that allow me to create forms, simple forms that may show like field 1, 2 ,3... then all you have to do is just input and when you get to the end of the row, will start a new row automatically.

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Then see if placing the iPod in airplane mode when in standby helps.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
    -  Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

I have upgraded my Iphone 4S to IOS 6.0 Yesterday. Afterwards I noticed that the phone gets hot quite often, even when it is idle. Additionally the battery gets depleted very fast ( 100% to 20% within 3 hrs while I was reading a book on the app mobibook for about 30 min). Last night, I left the phone connected to the charger, as I normally do, I found the phone to be extremely hot in the morning. Any help will be appreciated. In case there is no rememdy I would like to rollback to 5.1.1.

If your iPhone 4S is extremely hot, do the following:
Turn off your iPhone 4S and wait for 1 - 1 1/2 hours.
    Turn on your iPhone 4S.
If the problem occurs, turn off your iPhone 4S and wait for 2 - 3 hours.
    Turn on your iPhone 4S.
If your iPhone 4S is getting low, charge your phone
    Repeat in step 1.

  • I got my iphone 5 3 weeks ago and the battery life is very short. It drains out very fast. Does anyone know if it's a problem with the iOS or with my phone? Because I'm a bit concerned

I recieved my iPhone 5 3 weeks ago and the battery life completely *****! After doing a few things and maybe using it for about 30 minutes the phone start overheating like crazy then the battery starts dropping very fast. Does anyone know if it's a problem with the iOS or with my phone? And is anyone else expierenceing these problems?

It sounds like you have an app that is incorrectly continuously using data and power... from normal use the phone should NOT be getting that warm... only constant video playing via data like Netflix for example would result in that...
I'd say that you should remove all apps in the recent app tray... tunr phone off... then once you power back on...
Hold BOTH home and sleep wake buttons together until you see a white apple symbol... then release both buttons...
This will ensure you have no apps running...
I've experienced a hang up with mail while out and about that has resulted in this on my iPhone as well... Once I performed these steps it was fixed... it seemed like it got stuck and that's what caused the warm phone and battery drain...
I notived that when it gets stuck (mail app that is) I will see the text connecting at the bottom and it never changes to "updated" like it should... this is my trigger that it's gotten stuck.
Have not really figured out what causes mail app to get stuck yet...

What the **** has happened apple. .? You have totally ruined iOS 6 its been a shambles since day one!
I have tried every suggestion so far and it's just the same.

Hi, I had my iPhone 4S and I'm recently upgraded it from 7.0.5 to 7.0.6 and I found the battery drain up very fast if compare to iOS 7.0.5. Besides, I also unable to fully charger my phone to 100% now - max is 85% with phone either in airplane mode or switch off totally
May seek help from your advise on above case.
    Thank you
    Best regards,
    Adrian

Try killing the battery (Let it drain---turning on all the settings, playing a video, and having the brightness up kills it faster), then let it fully charge from there. Let me know if that works.
