Simple cosine integration

i am testing integration in LabVIEW full 2010 with the 1D numeric integration VI. attached is the sample VI wherein a cosine waveform is pulled apart and fed into a 1D numerical integration VI. i only feed in the first quater of the array because i only want the integration from 0 to pi/2. the integral should be 1, but the VI returns .0159. i don't get that. what am i missing? thank you in advance and have a great day. lucas

You dX for the integration is pi/2/250. You want to go from 0 to pi/2. And each section of that is 1/250th of a sample.
So wire in (pi/2)/250 instead the dT from your waveform info, and you will get 1.
Read the help for the numeric integration function. dt is interval size. Not timing like it is for a waveform.

I see Darin already picked up on the problem while I was investigating and typing. Like I said, read the detailed help for the integration function.
Your interval is dT of the waveform timing which is .0001. The actual interval size as you want it to be is 1/250th of pi/2.

IWeb needs simple MySQL integration!

iWeb could be a fantastic program if it had MySQL integration, especially for those of us Mac users who like building CMS type sites. Better yet, iWeb would be the #1 web tool if it could build templates for Joomla, Drupal, Wordpress, etc., from within the App.

Thanks guys for the "heads up." However, I am extremely familiar with php, apache, and hosts.
I guess my suggestion deserves more explanation.
If iWeb contained a "Tables" and "Fields" manager, something similar to Navicat's MySQL tool, within its code base, then iWeb could allow a CMS or CRM to be built right within the app that doesn't require 3rd party involvement. It would also spark some great "security" opportunities for webmasters using iWeb.
It would allow a user to build a user table, giving the designer more flexibility in "who can see what" on the iWeb site. It would certainly up the viability of iWeb's use by Mac Users because it would better support "automated dynamic content." By iWeb having the ability to connect directly with MySQL (which comes with OS X), iWeb could become the Mac users choice for simple CMS and CRM website development / prototyping.
I especially dislike the proprietary nature of iWeb's abilities, in that, I have to pay for an Apple Hosting account that is far too limited on features and offerings for its cost. iWeb needs work, and I think experienced webmaster input is important for Apple to better satisfy the needs / desires of its consumers.
Maybe that clarifies what I meant by this post a little better?

Simple GIS Integration Scenario

Hello members,
idea is simply to display an ESRI GIS map within a dynpro while providing data integrity.
My first aim is to achieve a simple connectivity such as selecting some lines from an ALV grid control cause points on map to be selected. (and vice-versa if possible).

Simple viewer integration

Can anyone tell me how to integrate a simple viewer gallery into my iweb site through .mac?

So on my photo page, I started with a blank template. Then I drew a text box just big enough to accomodate my gallery viewer (908x522). I then typed some placeholder text "PHOTOGALLERY" and then published the page. Then I found the page.html file and opened it with my text editor and found the PHOTOGALLERY placeholder text. I replaced this text with the iframes code below...

Save and that's it. So for your own gallery, you'll need to determine the dimensions and edit the width and height values. And obviously you'll need to edit your own URL depending on where you end up saving the folder. Just think of the iframes concept as a webpage within a webpage and it will become clearer.
The gallery that you see is composed with a free app called "Expose" It is wonderful and has a Mac gallery manager available. I like the AirtightInteractive templates as well (simpleviewer, postcard viewer, autoviewer). But I like the whole gallery in one idea...today. Haha...

Simple database integration

Hello!
I'm new to Dreamweaver 8 as of today. Been struggling along
with FrontPage for way too long!
What I need to do is include a 10,000 line Excel database
(auto parts) into our web site that a only few special clients can
search, but NOT SEE the entire DB. I'd like to have a search box
where they can enter a part number or possibly a simple
description, and then a results box showing only a yes/no
availability and price and perhaps the description. Actually,
availability is the only result necessary. They will not be
ordering directly from the site. We're just trying to cut down on
phone availability checks.
Can DW8 do this?

No, I don't have any of that knowledge, nor do I have the
desire or time to learn it.
I'm not being flippant here, it just isn't worth spending too
much time or money.
Is there s a service that can accomplish what we need for a
small fee?
Like I said, this is only going to be viewed by a couple/few
clients, so we are not looking to spend thousands on a MySQL type
solution. Also, once these parts are sold, they will not be
replaced, so the inventory will actually shrink over time.

Problem with Integration Scenario involving BPM

Hello All
I've created simple async Integration Scenario.
Sender is SOAP, then message is being processed by BPM Integration Process (some simple mapping inside - for now it is just proof of concept - later on it will split messages etc.) . Receiver is JDBC adapter.
Now, when I test Sender-> BPM (using Test Configuration tool ) - works fine, no errors.
BPM -> Receiver - as well.
But when I'm trying to test Sender -> Receiver it fails (so it does when I call Sender webservice from external tool).
Error is:

Hi Maciej,
If you are trying to test it from the RWB -> Component Monitring-> Integration Engine-> Test Message option, then you should not be giving the receiver system and interface details.
Just specify the details of the sender system, interface name and namespace.
Give the user id and pwd details.
Give the Quality of service as "Exactly Once".
Paste the payload and click on SEND button. (DO NOT GIVE THE RECEIVER SYSTEM details).
It will work.

Process Integration Handbook - useful links - permission denied

in the PI 7.1 EhP1 Handbook there are two obviously useful links. Unfortunately I get an "Access Denied" error in SMP although I have a valid SMP user ID with Partner Status.
Does anybody know how to get these to files?

Who do I talk to about my product idea for iPhones ?

Can anyone suggest the process of working with apple on an accessory for the iPhone. I do not expect to make millions and millions off this idea but at the same time don't want apple to say... "That's a stupid idea" then go and release it themselves.
Quite simply I would like to worth with apple on this and many other ideas I have for the apple range.
I would like to work with apple exclusively as I am an ex - window's p.c user and after countless O/S changes from the original DOS, I canno't believe how easy the transition was and how simple and integrated my computing life has become.
As a result I would love to help Apple continue to move ahead in many different fields.
I work in my own business that is making a move into helping people integrate technology into their lives in order to make it that little bit easier. With work pushing on and on and people forced to sacrifice more of their personal time to earn money, I am to save them time around the home, and also to make people spend time away on holiday. Some of the best times we can all have.
Well thats about it in a nut shell, if someone could assist me and work together in my quest I would be greatly apreciative,

How to find & repair the missing Subvis in EXE ?

I m literally breaking my head due to the above-stated problem.
When I try to build the EXE & run it, the message in the attached png pops-up & thats the end of it.
This problem started when I installed both the 8.2 & 8.5 evaluations in my PC before a month or so...
I didnt care much about the problem because I thought it might ve been due to the two evaluation installations.
But today when my evaluation expired & I built the EXE using my LV 7.1 PDS & ran it, immediately the same thing happened as before. Now, it is quite annoying me much. I repaired, reinstalled LV 7.1; still of no use. I again uninstalled every NI stuff using the msiblast.exe & reinstalled LV 7.1 alone in my PC. Then also, this problem erupted again.
Please see to the picture & suggest me some solutions regarding this...

It has been a repair/reinstallation job for the umpteen time today. So, in my guess, it would ve set/reset the necessary file permissions to default. I had already tried the time-tested method of copying/pasting manually the lvanlys.dll into the "data" folder. After doing it also, I got the same error.
Normally, LV doesnt put these dlls intothe "data" folder, unlike what you told earlier [maybe in LV 7.0, but not in LV 7.1]. I m quite sure about that because the run-time engine takes care of all the necessary LV dlls required by the EXE [whether stand-alone or installed on a non-LV installed PC]. IMO, that is the job of the run-time engine, after all...
So, tomorrow as a first thing, I d contact NI to fix up this.
But any help from you is still much appreciated.

Database performance degrade - delete operation

Hi,
I have a big database. One of the table contains 120 milion records and many tables (more than 50) has referential integrity to this table.
Table structure
Customer (Cust_ID, and other columns). Cust_ID is Primary Key. Other tables has referential integrity to Customer.Cust_ID.
There are around 100 thousand records that have entry only in this (Customer) table. These records are identified and kept in a table Temp_cust(Cust_ID).
I am running a PL/SQL which fetches a Cust_ID from Temp_cust and delete that record from Customer.
It is observed that a delete command takes long time and the whole system performance degrades. Even a on-line service that inserts row into this table looks like almost in hand stage.
The system is 24/7 and I have no option to disable any constraint.
Can someone explain why such a simple operation degrades system performance. Please also suggest how to complete the operation without affecting performance of other operations.

Callout webservices - Urgent!

Hi,
I am trying to test callout to an external web service from Oracle Express Edition 10g, ver. 10.1.2. I have also installed JDeveloper 10.1.3.2.0. I have tested web service call in and it works perfectly fine.
But I have a few very basic questions about the call out services, any help would be greatly appreciated.
1. I see that the JDeveloper comes with an embedded OC4J service, which I could invoke by the batch file start_oc4j.bat. Is that enough, or do I have to extract the OC4J_Extended.zip? Do I have to set oracle_home to the oc4j folder only when using a stand alone or even when using the embedded server?
2. What about the JPublisher utility? Does it come along with JDeveloper or does it need to be installed separately? I have searched for the files utl_dbws.jar and other required files under my jdeveloper directory, but they are not present. How do I install JPublisher? Where exactly do I have to extract the zip file? Is it in the oracle_home or under JDeveloper?
3. I see in the readme that loadjava command has to be executed. Where should it be executed? Where is the loadjava utility present?
I have hardly any familiarity with Oracle and have been struggling with this over the last few days. Any kind of help is welcome. Thank you.

Yes, this forum is a good place to post question related to Web Services.
I have little experience with Oracle XE, but I believe that you do not have the option to use Java based solutions in the Express Edition.
You may have better luck with this older approcah:
Calling Web Services from PL/SQL in the Oracle9i Database.
I have not been able to test it on XE myself, so I may be off here.
For simple callout integration with XE, you may also consider using a service in the middle tier that leverage REST style of invocation. You would put the complex logic on the java service, keeping your PL-SQL to a minimum (basic HTTP GET call out). See Chapter 12 of the user guide: Assembling REST Web Services.

I have following doubts for windows flatform.
I am integrating two application systems say A(source) & B(Target) thier data located in different oracle db servers.
1) ODI server installation will be on source server/target/any other machine?
2)Where should i create master & work repositories on source/target server?
3)If my target is remote host then where can i install and run agents?
4)While creating physical schemas we can select the work schema as different,is this work schema acts like staging area? while designing the interfaces should i select this work schema as staging area? what is benefit of having this work schema different than my soruce/target schema.?
5) I read that ODI will create temparory tables while executing ODI objects each time and these tables are junk data,should i drop all these temp tables in work schema,even after or before execution of the interface?

Find my answers as below,
1) ODI server installation will be on source server/target/any other machine? Its always recommend to install ODI in your TARGET server for good performance.
2)Where should i create master & work repositories on source/target server?In TARGET server and make sure u have dedicated schema for work and master repos.

while designing the interfaces should i select this work schema as staging area? No need to select any work schema as such while designing interface, only u need to select the respective LOGICAL schema which implicitly create the $ tables in the work schema u selected in PHYSICAL schema.
what is benefit of having this work schema different than my soruce/target schema.? You will not require to have a dedicated "staging area" to consolidate your data from multiple/single source.
5) I read that ODI will create temparory tables while executing ODI objects each time and these tables are junk data,should i drop all these temp tables in work schema,even after or before execution of the interface?No need. ODI will take care of DROPPING and CREATING $ tables on FLY.
For simple data integration, 2 tables will be created at runtime, C$ and I$ which in turn will be dropped after loading to TARGET table.

As Josh said, Its not possible to do that, there are many ways to can take the BW Query to dashboards, which makes your life simple in integrating reports into the dashboards.
You can use the below methods to intergrate.
1. Query Browser.
2. SAP BW netweaver Connections.
3. BW query --> BICS(Connections) --> webi -- > QWAAS(Connections)
4. BW query --> BICS(Connections) --> webi -- > Live Office(Connections).
