Simple question: COMPUTE_BCD_OVERFLOW - how solve?

Hi,
I have a really simple problem but in the moment I can't find the right solution, so I hope you can give me a hint...
I try to calculate a percentage-value based on 2 given amounts (of money). So my codings looks like this:
diff_amount = amount - amount_comp.
IF amount NE 0.
diff_percent = diff_amount / amount * 100.
ELSE.
diff_percent = 0.
ENDIF.
I use own data-elemnts in de DDIC for the definition of the variables. So for the amounts I use the domain of SAP WERTV8 (this is type P) and for the percentage I use an own domain with DEC (length: 5, decimals: 2).
Now if there are high values in the amount-fields( going into the millions) I get an dump because of COMPUTE_BCD_OVERFLOW. But now I don't really know which data elements to use to implement such a simple calculation?

Hi,
thanks for your answer, do you mean I should define a field based on character values and should give the value of the calc to this field? Or did I misundertand you?
Because I don't think that could be a solution?

Simple question. How do you reset an ipod to a new user??

A friend gave me his old 4th generation ipod and I have
downloaded the current version of iTunes, and now I would like to erase all his music, data and name etc and put in my info, songs and data. My question is.....How do you erase all current data and reset the ipod for a new user, without downloading iTunes once again, since I have imported most of my songs and ebooks into iTunes already?

I am trying to get a parameter passed to my JSP script through an URL like this:

How can I read the context of the variable "variable" within the JSP code? The content must be placed in a string... Is there any way to do it?

To get the parameter use

I have a cron job for export, I know it starting time, how could I find its finishing time? anyway, I have check the log, but no answer.

at the end of the script append the end date and time to the log file.

As your job is an export, export dump timestamp would give you the end time. Do ls -ltr on the dump file, the date time should be the completed time of the export.
$ls -ltr exp_test.dmp
-rw-r--r-- 1 oracle dba 2048 Sep 11 14:19 exp_test.dmp

Probably simple question on how UCCX works

Does UCCX actually handle the phone call, or does it drop it off to Call Manager when an agent takes the call? The reason I'm asking is because we're having complaints about queue calls dropping and Agent Desktop loosing connection and then reconnecting a few seconds later.

OK, that's what I thought. The others in IT think that UCCX handles all of it, but I told them that when an agent answers the call CUCM takes over. The dropped calls aren't UCCX's problem as much as it would be CUCM's problem, but the issue seems to only be happening to our tech support people who are using 7925g phones. One other person with a 6941 in the same area reported a couple of dropped calls as well.

Simple question - make an image the original size

Hello everyone. I have a very simple question. How do I make an image that I have inserted into a pages document display at the original image size. I have selected the image, brought up the inspector and selected the Graphic inspector but it does not seem to give you that option.
You would have thought this would be easy wouldn't you? I am seriously considering going back to microsoft office at this rate!!!

If the picture is not at its original size a button is active.
If the picture is at its original size the same button is greyed.
If it is too simple, you may *go to "Provide Numbers Feedback" in the "Numbers" menu*, describe what you wish.

iCloud does not provide general file storage or backup, so you cannot back up your Documents folder using it. You will need to find a third-party alternative - this page examines some options (some are free):

iCloud at basic level, with 5GB is storage, is free: you only pay anything if you want to increase the storage space.

Simple Question: How to search for a date value in SELECT

Probabily a simple question, but in a SELECT statement, how do you do a search for a date value in the WHERE clause?
example:
Select * From Example
Where date = 01/01/2001
I know its not as simple as that, but what change has to occur to make it do what that example implies?

If you want to avoid the conversion part(to_date) you will need to specify the date in the format as ur nls date format.so the same query might not work if you change ur nls date format.
so it is advisable to give it in general format.
ie where date_col=to_date(01-01-2000,'dd-mm-yyyy')

The registry method does not work with 8.1. I found this out the hard way. Doing it on 8.1 will leave you reinstalling the OS if you didn't do a SRP beforehand.

It's actually even easier than using Save As to see the full path to the currently open document. Just do a "Secondary click" on the document title in its window's title bar.
Like you, I relied upon Save As my whole life to check a file's location and considered it a must-have capability. Turns out it's even faster to use the single-click method to reveal the full path to the open document. It displays the entire path to the current document starting from the level of your Mac, and works for files stored on drives as well as iCloud.
If you're not sure how to do a secondary click, go into System Preferences, select Trackpad, Point & Click to find the current preference for secondary click on your Mac. If you happen to have a mouse with more than one button, it's probably the right button. As a trackpad user, I check the box to "Click or tap with two fingers," so a simple two finger tap on the title of an open document reveals its full path. This feature actually has been around for a very long time.
Note that this is not the same thing as the Autosave and Versions menu, which is exposed using a little drop down triangle to the right of the title. There is no visual clue for the presence of this feature - you just have to know it's there, probably because this feature goes all the way back to pre-OS X days.

There are lots of simple examples on JSP custom tags that have
a .tld file, a .java file with the handler class, and a .jsp
file that calls the custom tag to test it.
My question is, lets say I have a .tld file, a .java file and
a .jsp file for a tag example. How do I deploy them to
Oracle 9iAS r2? I'd like to code an example and deploy it,
but I'm stuck. I'm using Jdeveloper 9i, and have compiled the
.java file and included it and the .tld in a Custom Taglib JAR.
How is this JAR deployed to Oracle 9iAS, considering that the
Enterprise Manager only deploys WAR and EAR files? How do
a configure a web app to use the custom tags...
This should be simple -- maybe its too simple so I'm stuck!

How can a question marked as "solved" be restored to unsolved status?

How do you remove the “This solved my question” status icon if the answer turns out to be wrong?
Variations of this question can be found in a few discussion threads in the Apple Support Community. I found one very similar question marked as “This solved my question.” Unfortunately the answer was, “It can't be changed.” I have reasons for trying to, at least, get a more definitive answer.
A primary purpose of these discussions is to resolve issues. It is very frustrating to read through long threads that claim to have an answer, only to find that the question was mistakenly marked “solved.” I spent over an hour on a thread that was marked as resolved. The member that made the mistake wanted to remove the “solved” status--even asked for help several times. I finished the thread just in case either issue was resolved. No, neither issue was resolved.
May someone, Apple if necessary, explain how to revert the “solved” status or help fix the problem? If it is a known issue with no workaround, it would be very helpful to have an explanation. Accordingly, are there plans to fix this problem, and a rough idea when? This could be a “This solved my question” hallmark worth celebrating!
Caution: This discussion or parts of it may be revised or deleted while I attempt to find a solution or workaround. Once I've given up or the issue is resolved, I will indicate so, even if it requires a repost. Relevant contributions will be indicated either way.

leonieDF and seventy one pointed out, (paraphrasing) all posts can be helpful in some way, even if the original owner of the discussion didn't get their question resolved.
Maybe if I keep using this tool I'll change my mind, but most of the time I'd rather save time getting something solved than not.
If anyone believes there are legitimate reasons owners and participants of a discussion would benefit from the ability of the owner to reset the solved status, you're welcome to chime in.

I'd encourage future contributors (if any) to read through the explanation of my question in the first post to understand my perspective beyond "How can a question marked as 'solved' be restored to unsolved status?"
