Simplest way to send info in the background?

What is the simplest (least amount of code) way to send info in the background. I have a bakery app that needs to send orders to the bakery. It would idealy be just a chunk of code, though I can have a large amount if necessary. Is there a background email api or ...?

I created one webservice and deployed to cloud server. From browser am able to run the url and able to get the result.

no, you can't store games in icloud. But you can delete them from the ipad and later get them back from the itunes store without paying for it.

I don't have access to the page with the form, which is the root of my problem. The friend had a site that I built. Eventually he decided to sign up with some SEO outfit. They moved the site to their server and made a few changes including that Contact Us form. Then my friend decided he'd rather be hosted by GoDaddy and signed up to transfer his DNS. When the switch was made, of course his GoDaddy server contained zip. He asked whether I could upload his old site, which I did. This is the part I love: he can't remember who his SEO guys were, so we have no way of accessing that SEO-made page which is sitting on a mystery server somewhere in the tubes. And it ain't on the Wayback Machine.

Simplest might well be to use javamail API instead of the two tags that Sites provides, e.g. see email - Sending mail attachment using Java - Stack Overflow for a full example.

Genius is evil - madly changing track info in the background

I think I've figured out why iTunes, starting in version 8, has been behaving strangely. It's Genius.
I started out noticing that when double-clicked a song in the list view to play that it would jump to the end of that album's list. This drove me nuts. If I double-clicked each song, it would do this for each and then i could play the album how I wanted. I thought maybe it was tinkering with the track number info but couldn't find anything different.
Then I started playing songs that I didn't have album, album artist, or composer information for and saw that once I played it, iTunes immediately updated to show me this information filled in. Now I was mad, b/c in a lot of instances the album information was some screwy greatest hits or tribute album. It finally dawned on me when I played a song and saw a foreign language soundtrack show up in the album field. Genius was filling in my missing information with information from how other users have classified that track. Yikes!
So I've disabled Genius, but the damage is done as soon as Genius does that analysis of your library.
Anyone have any thoughts on this? I'm going to wipe my library and reimport everything, hoping that iTunes hasn't written the changes to the tag but only in the library. I wish Genius behaved more intelligently...
Can someone confirm that Genius is changing/adding track info where it perceives mine is missing or incorrect?

I had the same problem! I realized it today and googled my problem. I guess Zune is just really dumb at figuring out song information. I noticed it today when I had 42 new Rihanna tracks in my library. Apparently Zune took several songs that had nothing from Track 1 (etc), Unknown Artist and Album as its song information and changed it to some random album by Rihanna and did the tags completely excluding the Tracks. I have NO idea how it came to that conclusion as the songs were actually Soca music from Trinidad! FAR from Rihanna!!
Other than that, sadly, I like Zune software better than iTunes on my Vista machine. The visualizer is the part that gets me. It's great for just playing music and I have something better to look at than just some seizer causing fullscreen lines. I have dual monitors and the full screen visualizer acts as if its a background so its sexii

are you using variants? Then you can easily adjust the variante and change your user groups.
If you are not using variantes, I would suggest to create a variante and plan the scheduled job again.

TC sends info on the internet without being asked

From old Airport utilities, I set up the TC's light to blink when data is transmitted from/to it.
With nothing wired-connected to it and wireless off, there is still some traffic issued from this TC.
Access through Bonjour is off and nothing such as DynDNS has been set up.
Any idea what data is sent ? (actually most of the traffic is sent, not received)

Networks chatter.. that is to ensure they keep themselves alive and up to date. The amount of data going back and forth is usually minor but it is continual.
I would not be over worried unless you are seeing large discrepancy in your ISP downloads from what you know you are using.
If the TC is bridged to the network.. I would not expect outside access.. just local chatter.. if you have it setup as the main router.. you are probably seeing lots of attempts to hack your system. I have studied the output of a professional firewall and I get a hit about every 10sec.. someone asking if I am home.. or any doors are open. Welcome to the internet.. that is what it is like.

How do you know the traffic is sent?? The led blinks for Tx or Rx I believe.
If you are worried.. place a managed switch (or old fashioned hub) between your TC and modem.. run wireshark on a computer on a mirror port and examine the traffic.

You can not insert a section break into a textbox.
You appear to have a lot of objects with wrap set, that once you take them out of the flow of text (by sending them to the background) causes the text to reflow and contract into fewer pages. Pages is almost unique in the way it forms up pages in Word Processing mode only so long as there is text on them.
I suspect you probably have hammered away at returns, spaces and tabs as well to position things, which only works to add to the mess.

PS There is quite a lot of programming in OSX that is far from "intuitive". Pages is easy at one level, when using the templates, otherwise it can be quite frustrating.

How do you play videos from the "Videos" app in the background IPod 4G

I used to have an app which allowed me to play videos from the "Videos" app on my ipod touch 4th gen. But the other day I had to wipe my ipod and can no longer get this app. Is there any other app which imports your videos from the "videos" app or is there a way to play videos in the background using the "videos" app.

You can only play videos in the Videos app when the Video app is on the screen. Video, and any audio with it, do not play when using another app.
You can try changing the Media Kind in Get Info>Option in iTunes on the computer to Music Video and see if that works

Running some functions in the background - Flex mobile

I have an application which allows the user to take a picture and upload it to the cloud. after the picture is taken, I'm performing some manipulation which takes 10 - 20 seconds. is there a way to do that in the background so it won't affect the user app flow.

There's no concept of "background" processing or multi threading in Flex just yet.
In the past I have written processing routines that are processor-intensive, in such a way that they do some processing then stop, allowing the UI to function and then resume them after a moment. Basically, you need to be able to keep the current state periodically and then restart processing via a timed event, picking up where you left off.
Also be aware that mobile platforms have limited resources and apps can be asked to shut down at any moment, 10-20 seconds of inactivity will not be acceptable on some platforms.

One way would be to open the background image, then go to File<Place and select your christmas tree image.
Now you have two layers.
Make a selection of the christmas tree with the Quick Selection Tool and then add a layer mask.
Now you can see the background around the tree.
Of course your selection may still need some tweaking, so you could paint on the layer mask to further refine the selection.

Oops, sorry, misunderstand your previous question :)
Yes, the API only works on Windows Phone 8.1 but not work on Windows Store App, and there seems no equivalent method that can do it.
I also found some comments from:

On the other side, if we want to make things ready, we need to create our own wrapper, I found an interesting blog that you can follow:
