Since getting iOS 5.0 all of my calendar events are gone. How do I get them back?

I had unreplacable events marked in my calendar (like when my son got his first tooth) and now they are all gone. They were there initially after the update but then I synced with iCloud and it all left. HELP!!!

Well I answered my own question! It has to do with iCloud... In the settings under Mail/Contacts/Calendar it has an option to sync Events 2 weeks back-All Events. I only had Events 1 Month Back checked. Solved my problem :-)

Well, when you restore your ipad, there is really no way to get the information back. The reason you restore it i to get all of the information off of it. Why did you restore it if you wanted to keep the info?
Aa far as I know, there is no way to un-restore any device. But, you can put the info back onto the device if it was on your computer, etc.

First it would be helpful to get more info. Do you keep your music in the default location inside the iTunes folder? Do you use iTunes to keep it organized? Do you have any type of backup of either the iTunes Library files or your entire Music folder? Before reinstalling anything, check that your actual music files are still there. Go to your_homefolder/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media/Music and I am pretty sure that all your files are still there. iTunes keeps its library file on the root level of the iTunes folder. It is either corrupted or you somehow created a new one which subsequently is empty. Hold down the option while you click on iTunes, then choose "existing library" and browse to your iTunes folder and select the iTunes Library file and see what happens. Report back if your iTunes Library file is corrupt.

Outlook is a mail client for PC's (and Macs). It is not a type of account. Do you mean an "Exchange Account"?
If so, then re-add it. The calendar events live on the Exchange Server. The only way to get them back is to re-add the account to the phone. The contents of Exchange and IMAP accounts are not part of the 'backup' as they already exist elsewhere.

I had the same problem on my iphone 4s and before I had realized it my phone synced up with my computer and deleted all the appointments in my outlook calendar as well. I run microsoft exchange and unfortunately my ISP doesnt backup for me so I am left reconstructing my calendar from scratch. You can get iTunes purchases back by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
For other items you need to get them from whee yuo got them the first time.
The iPod backup that iTunes makes does not include synced mediai like apps and music. If those ore not in the iTunes library on the computer on which you performed the update they are lost.

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion.

Aren't those the default games that come with the iPod Classic? If so, they won't be in your iTunes library, but only on your iPod Classic itself as they are built in the iPod's software.

Did you restore your phone with itunes or check new phone. You can always reconnect with itunes and restore your phone to old settings and it should replace everything because it is on your computer

Are your contacts still on your computer? If yes, set one contact up on the phone and sync it, you'll get the option to merge data.
If there are no more contacts on the computer, see if your latest backup still has the info, if you did not sync after you lose the info, they are still part of the backup.
