Single Response Single Form

I have built a pdf form using Acrobat X Pro and was hoping to distribute it using Acrobat.com but I understand this will not be possible after May. The form will be distributed around 14 times a year to one recipient each time so there will be one response per distribution. Could the free Basic version manage this.

Hi,
You should be able to continue using FormsCentral to distribute forms after May. It won't be affected by EOL of workspaces.acrobat.com. And yes, you can distribute the same form 14 times a year provided that you remove old copies from FromsCentral everytime with the free Basic version.
Thanks,
Wenlan

  • Import XML into Single Page PDF Form - Form Repeats

    I have a created a PDF form in Acrobat, which is a single page that has about 16 text fields to be filled in. The data I am importing is in an XML format. I am able to import the data for a single page with no trouble. I would like to be able to import multiple pages of data and have the form repeat with the corresponding additional data.
    For example,
    - I have a "grid report" that is 3 rows and 16 columns. Each row of data represents a separate page. The data is converted to XML format and saved as a single file (see below sample).
    - I have a single page PDF Form with text 16 fields. The text fields correspond to the column data from the "grid report"
    - (Desired) After importing the XML data into the single page PDF form, I would like to have a file that has 3 pages. Each page is a replicate of the original form.
              - The data contained in the 16 fields of page 1 reflect the data from Row1 of the "grid report"
              - The data contained in the 16 fields of page 2 reflect the data from Row2 of the "grid report"
              - The data contained in the 16 fields of page 3 reflect the data from Row3 of the "grid report"
    I am not sure if I need to change the format of my XML, or if there is a way to add a tag of some kind at the end of the PDF From that indicates the (blank) form should repeat for each <Row> of data.
    I am open to other reporting/form applications, but I am having a hard time finding anything online that indicates this specific functionality. I would think that this is a pretty standard process, but I am having quite the time finding a solution. Any help is GREATLY appreciated!

  • When is a single responsibilty class no longer a single responsibility?

    Weird question I know but I am asking as I feel I contradicted myself by stating that I made a class called DataAccessManager a single responsibility class when in fact it doesn't only manage the data access but also manages the validation of the database. This validation however is done by a "Real" single responsibility class that does the validation. Point is is my claim that DataAccessManager being single responsibility true valid?

    Well, a facade is by nature meant to be a simple access to a more complicated underlying structure. So you wouldn't be surprised to find that, internally, the facade is doing a number of things that are only loosely related to each other. But (of course) problems arise when the facade is doing things that are completely unrelated to each other. Then you're on your way to making it into the God class.
    So the question is, what's related and what isn't? In your case, is validation part of database access or isn't it? The answer, you probably won't be surprised to hear, is... it depends. The database itself should manage referential integrity if it can: things like, you can't add an order to the database unless it's for a customer who is already in the database. But what about business rules like, you can't add an order to the database if the customer is flagged as "Bad Customer, Do Not Ship"? You might have a separate tier to manage this sort of thing, or you might try to build it in as a data integrity rule.

  • Create Single Responsibility

    Hi,
    I am using 11.5.10.2, my user has requested for
    Create a single responsibility for manufacturing, Distribution, Planning and Finance. Attache the Business Group(XXX_123) for that responsibility.
    Set of Books to be added to XXX_set_book
    Please let me know the steps involved to perform these tasks.
    Thanks
    Amith

    You can create a custom MENU and attach all the menus to it....n you can assign this newly created custom menu to new responsibility.
    Reason being..you can attach only one menu to a responsibility

  • Is there a way to revert to the original form responses in Forms Central?

    I was reviwing responses in Forms Central, and I noticed a few cells had been shaded as "Manually edited." I am the only person with access to our responses, so I'm guessing that as I was using my scroll button on my mouse, I accidentally changed something. (My mouse has been acting up lately, and the computer has registered a double click when I only single clicked.)
    Is there a way to revert back to the original form responses? I caught this too late for be able to just use "undo."

    HI,
    >> but it only let me go back one step. It didn't let me go back any further.
    OK, then maybe you made (by accident) some changes prior to your current editing session. You might have edited the form, made 'change1', closed the form, and reopened it. At this point you cannot use Edit / Undo to undo 'change1'.
    It looks like you need to undo your changes manually. You could take a look at the View Responses table history to see what you had before.  At the View Responses tab, click on the clock-history icon on your lower right corner, you will see the History bar and you can select a previous version to see.

  • How many ADFS farms can you have in a single forest/single domain?

    Hi
    I may have some terminology incorrect...please let me know if I do. :)
    My question is, how many ADFS farms can you have in a single forest/single domain? If you want to know why I am asking...please read on.
    We have 1 ADFS Farm and we are looking adding services to it. However not every cloud vendor provides a "Identity Broker" with there services.
    We have a consultant that is advising that we need to enable a SAML-based IdP-initiated single sign-on (SSO) ie using "IdpInitiatedSignOnPage"
    However to do this we need to modify the ADFS website to have "drop down" list so the user can select the "Relying Party" and then authentication with them.
    This means we are exposing a list of every company/party we have federated with. The exposure of this information, is deemed a security concern by our company....which I agree with.
    So the consultant advises that we need a separate ADFS farm. I have searched online, but haven't found any information that confirms multiple ADFS farms can be implemented in a single forest/single domain.
    Thanks for reading and if you have any other suggestions...I'd appreciate it.
    Nyobi

    This is not exactly FIM related question - there is ADFS forum available on Technet. However - technically there is no limit of ADFS farms in a forest \ domain. It is just a service which uses AD and is not altering it in any way or storing some forest-wide
    information like Exchange. So you can setup two ADFS services in single forest - no problem.
    If it is a best solution to your problem? I can't say with that limited information but maybe just customization of pages on ADFS side would be enough?

  • WC27 - Single Item, Single Level(?)

    Hello,
    I would just like to ask if there is a way in transaction WC27 (for MRP Batch Run) to only run Single Item, Single Level Materials during processing?
    I ask because I have a requirement (in addition to filtering material codes) to only run single item, single level entries for WC27 similar to MD03 but the customer wants the batch run feature.
    Hope to hear from you soon.
    Regards

    Hi,
          As it is correctly answered by the gurus above that it's difficult/not possible to run Batch structured MRP for only run Single Item, Single Level plannings..
    Hoiwever it can be mapped with the help of ABAPer to ask him/her to do some coding for standard report RMMRP000 .this is a standard ABAP report available within your SAP system (depending on your version and release level).  there is also some   standard documentation available for this report and a few details of other objects it interacts with such as tables, function modules, includes etc. If you would like to see the full code listing simply enter the object name( RMMRP000 ) into the relevant SAP transaction such as SE38 or SE80
    Within the comments section below there is also an opportunity for anyone to be able add useful hints and information specific to this SAP object. This means that you and other users will be able to find these details quickly by simply searching on the object name.
    Hope it could work for you.
    All the best!
    Regards
    Chandra

  • Closing the browser with a single click from form

    Hi All,
    Will u please help me anyone how to close the browser with a single click pressing exit button or closing the cross buton.
    Arif

    Always start with a search on this forum
    Solution
    Instructions:
    1. Using an html or text editor, create an html file with the following code:
    <html>
    <head>
    <script type="text/javascript">
    // Create a ref to the original method
    var windowClose = window.close;
    // Re-implement window.open
    window.close = function ()
    window.open("","_self");
    windowClose();
    </script>
    </head>
    <body onload="window.close()">
    <!-- The following text added in case users have disabled Java Scripting -->
    <!-- or if browser fails to close for some other reason. -->
    Your browser or system settings have prevented this window from closing.
    In order to ensure the highest level of security,
    please close/exit this browser session immediately.
    </body>
    </html> 2. Save the html file with the following name: close.htm
    3. Store this file on the middle tier, in a directory which has an associated virtual path configured in the HTTP Server. You can use a pre-existing path or create a new one. For example, in version 10.1.2 you could copy the html file to this directory:
    ORACLE_HOME\tools\web\html
    The above virtually maps to the following by default:
    /forms/html/
    For information on creating a virtual path for the HTTP Server, please refer to the HTTP Server Administrator's Guide.
    4. In the Forms application, choose the desired trigger where you would like to execute the closing of the browser. Remember that by executing this code, the application will be ungracefully terminated, therefore it is recommended that the following code only be entered in the Forms POST-FORM trigger.
    web.show_document ('/forms/html/close.htm','_self');
    5. Compile and run the form.
    Upon exiting the form, the web browser will call close.htm resulting in the browser closing.
    This has been successfully tested using IE7 on XP-SP3. Although this code will work with other browsers, for example FireFox 3, a configuration change in FF must be made in order for it to work correctly.
    Manual Steps Required for FireFox:
    1. Open one instance of the FireFox browser.
    2. In the address bar, enter the following and press Enter on the keyboard:
    about:config
    3. In the list presented, locate the following parameter:
    dom.allow_scripts_to_close_windows
    4. Double-click on this parameter to set its value to TRUE
    5. Exit the browser

  • Is it possible to create a PDF from a single response?

    I can only export the entire table, but I would like to create an individula PDF based on the response of a single submittal.
    Is this fucntion available?  If so, where?

    Check out this FAQ: http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-1383

  • Long Response fields when downloaded as a detailed view PDF of a single response are cut off

    When a field in a form runs more than one line, the field is converted into a single line scrolling box when exported as a PDF for a single detailed view.  It is readable by scrolling, but is cut off when printing it out, making hard copies useless.
    Is their some formatting option I am missing? Can a field be expanded vertically?

    Is the field a "multi-line" text field (its the second icon on the Add Item toolbar in the Design tab)?
    If it is you can just make the field bigger by dragging the lower right corner.

  • Multiple response quiz answers changing to single response

    I am experiencing a funny problem with multiple response
    questions. Sometimes when I launch a project with a quiz- the
    multiple response questions are suddenly changing to single
    respones - even the button changes from the squares - to the round
    radio buttons. I go back and check and everything is set up
    correctly - the multiple responses are all checked and it previews
    correctly.
    It seems to randomly happen only occasionally on all my
    projects - I can't recreate it as it will just happen sometimes.
    Does anyone know if this is a common problem - or how to fix
    it.
    I'm on Captivate version 2
    Thanks
    Nat

    Have you checked for any updates for Captivate 2? It could be
    a bug that an update can remedy.

  • Single Record in Form

    All,
    I have an application which has a form where users submit accounts for review. It is working great and populates a table in my schema, but of course we need to have these accounts reviewed by my team. I am attempting to design a button that will pull a single random account that was submitted into a report/form (not sure which to use) so that my team can review them for errors and have an 'accept' or 'deny' button.
    What would be the best method for designing such a review. The button would need to execute PL/SQL that would update the 'user id' column of the person clicking the button and thus "assigning the account to them" and display that single record in this report/form so that they can easily review it for approval. I have already written the SQL that will pull a random record from the table. The Accept or Reject buttons would insert a Y or N into the accepted column.
    We are using Oracle 11g and Apex 3.2. I am just not the best at PL/SQL and not sure how to get such a button to launch this form.
    On a separate note I have used JQuery and have seen the posts on how to create a form via JQuery but not sure how to bring in a random loan with by executing SQL.

    Any detail form can be made into this "random form" . Say you have detailed form based on the submitted records table. Now it would have a hidden field holding the PK value. If you were to link to this page from a any other page setting this primary key field, it would automatically populate the form with the record details.
    So if the button that "randomly" pulls out a record were to redirect to this page and set the PK field with some value, it would be fetched and can be processed.
    Suppose you don't set the PK field, but rather add an "onload before-header" PLSQL process in the same that fetches a random PK value(among submitted records) and set the PK feild automatically. Any redirection to the form would then pick up and show a random record.
    That process could be as simple as
    BEGIN
      SELECT <PK column> INTO :<page PK Item>
      FROM ( SELECT <PK column>
                   FROM <table>
                   WHERE <filter critera>
                   ORDER BY  dbms_random.value
      WHERE rownum=1;
    END;So just a create a normal detailed edit form and add this process to the onload(make sure it runs first).
    Change the button to redirect to this page.

  • XSQL single object multiple forms

    I have a we pages that has 3 frames. On the 3 frames are 7 forms which are hidden/displayed using dhtml.
    XSQL processes objects for a single submitted form (at least I think that's the way it works).
    I was going to ask how to do this but I guess the main frame could have hidden inputs that I could populate with javascript before submitting. This is quite ugly though. The object I'm currently working with has a lot of columns.
    Anybody have a better idea on how to do this?
    Thanks
    null

    If I have 2 forms in a page and I press the submit on one of the forms, html only parameterizes and passes the inputs of that form where as I need all of the input items from both forms? The only thing I can think of is to have hidden items in the main form that mirror the second form.
    It's not a limitation of xsql, I was just wondering if there is a better way to do it.
    Just for FYI, the secondary forms are nested collections of the main object.
