  • How to Generate a Java file for a JSP Page

    Hi ,
    I am using weblogic11 .
I am working on a JSP page which nearly consists of 4000 lines of code.
I need to debug the file , but weblogic server is not generating the java file for the JSP pages .
Please let me know how can i genertae Java file for the jsp pages ??

JSPs are compiled into servlets automatically and those classes are stored in WEB-INF/classes folder. Servlet engine handles servlets.

  • How do I catch the button click event from toolbar for my JSP?

I am using JDev 3.2 and BC4J for my JSP. I am using data web bean methods to create my JSPs. I need to implement a
master-detail relation in my JSP. Currently I put my master browser as the top frame of JSTabContainer bean and put my
6 detailed tables into 6 tabs. I found that when I click the next or previous button of toolbar of master frame, the detail tab
does not display the corresponding detail data properly. I think the reason is that I did not refresh the tab content when
the user change the current record of master table. Now my question is that how do I catch those events so that I can
refresh the content of my detail table? Or whatever suggestion can make this work.
    Thanks,
    Lisa

You posted here with Firefox 17.0.1.
Try running a Norton Live Update so Norton can update their Firefox add-on and get that Toolbar working again.
That said, Norton doesn't do anything about Malware. You need a Malware application to locate and remove Malware.
Install, update, and run these programs in this order. They are listed in order of efficacy.<br />'''''(Not all programs detect the same Malware, so you may need to run them all to solve your problem.)''''' <br />These programs are all free for personal use, but some have limited functionality in the "free mode" - but those are features you really don't need to find and remove the problem that you have.<br />
''Note: If your Malware infection is bad enough and you are mis-directed to URL's other than what is posted, you may have to use a different PC to download these programs and use a USB stick to transfer them to the afflicted PC.''

  • What's the available value for weblogic.jsp.encoding in web application.

    Hi,
I'm using chinese windows nt 4.0 and weblogic 5.1 sp6.When I did not set
              weblogic.jsp.encoding to GB2312 , when the jsp file contain's chinese , the
output will be error .And when I did not set it , the output is correct, but
when I use request.getParameter("SomeFormElement")(the element inputed
chinese), the return value is error.
How should I set weblogic.jsp.encoding value to satisfy all this problem?
When I set the value to ISO-8859, there is an exception:
              java.io.UnsupportedEncodingException: Charset: 'ISO-8859' not recognized,
and there is no alias for it in the weblogic.httpd.charsets property. So
What's the available value for weblogic.jsp.encoding in web application?

    hi ,
i think the best way is to create java beans ,in that bean call your EJB ,
and check the validation over there.
and make that bean scope to session.
in each and everypage try to check the session ,if it is not valid then forward to your login page...
otherwise continue to give access to him like guest

Here is a link with the monthly fees:
    http://www.apple.com/iphone/easysetup/rateplans.html
You would be forced to select one of these plans and pay for the actiavtion as well as the first month up front. With the cheapest plan this will be a little over $100.

  • Why not support tree/shuttle layers for Structs/JSP in jheadstart 10.1.2.0.

Why not support tree/shuttle layers for Structs/JSP in jheadstart 10.1.2.0.
I want make tree style and shuttle style with Structs/JSP(jheadstart 10.1.2.0) in my project.
    Can you help me.
    Thanks for your help.

UIX provides tree and shuttle components that generate all the complex javascript required for these UI component.
We have no plans to create similar javascript ourselves so we can generate this with JSP. The future strategy for JHeadstart will be based on JSF / ADF Faces where we leverage UI components that have this functionality built-in, like UIX has today. With the JSF standard out there, we expect lots of sophisticated new UI components to come out, built by dhtml/javascript/ajax experts (which we are not).
Our focus (and core competency) is on generating applications by wiring together these sophisticated UI components, and not so much on building new UI components.
If you want to build this today using JSP I suggest you do some shopping on the internet, you wll probably find some sample code for trees and shuttles.

  • I download itext  for convert jsp to PDF. How to set content type for PDF.

I download itext for convert jsp to PDF. How to set content type for PDF. I try
    <%@ page contentType = "application/pdf;charset=TIS-620" %>
, but the page does not PDF.
    Thank.

PDF files are usually binary files, JSPs are not well-suited for binary content.
(If you download the result of your JSP you'll see that it is not a valid PDF file; it will have probably a lot of whitespace and linefeeds, that will choke your PDF reader.). The first few characters must be
    "%PDF-" without whitespace.
You can try using PDF files encoded as text - check if you can use text-encoded PDFs in iText.
    Try using a Servlet instead.

I have completed 99.99% of project development, when I am about to deploy JSC throws "Servlet.service() for servlet jsp threw exception javax.faces.el.EvaluationException: java.lang.NullPointerException" I can't understand why.
My application was working absolutely fine, I can't understand why its throwing exception now.
I tried debuging, but i can't understand where exactly its throwing exception and whats the error.
I would really appreciate your help, I have spent almost a day trying to figure out but din't get anywhere.

    hi,
I just found that this exception is thrown from function
    public UIViewRoot createView(FacesContext context, String viewId) {
    UIViewRoot viewRoot = handler.createView(context, viewId);
    context.getExternalContext().getRequestMap().put(CREATED_VIEW, viewId);
    setupPageBean(context, viewRoot);
    return viewRoot;
    in viewHandlerImpl.java.
Has anyone got ideas about this???
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
    cheers

  • Unwanted stack trace in weblogic.log for thrown JSP Exceptions

We are throwing a JSP exception within a custom tag when data validation
errors occur; the errorPage for the JSP page is then invoked to show the
appropriate errors. However, in the weblogic.log, a stack trace is shown
indicating the exception (example below). We do not want this stack track
shown unless there is a real "error" in our system vs. invoking the
errorPage to show "application" errors. Is there any way to supress this,
as we are not explicitly causing this to happen. It appears to be a
weblogic feature. This causes us problems in finding true system errors
that might be occurring due to these non-problems showing up in the
              weblogic.log.
              Thanks for the help.

The design of the data entry pages is such that the error page is the same
page as the data entry page, and a validation JSP tag validates the data and
if it finds a problem, it will set some variables and throw a JSP exception
to redisplay the page. Unfortunately, we are forced to live with this
design. Are you aware of any mechanism to suppress the automatic logging of
thrown JSP exceptions in the weblogic log?

  • Making data accessible for a JSP

What is the preferable way of making data accessible for a JSP from a Struts action?
I currently store it in the session object. But this seems unnecessary since the only jsp that has to have access to the data is the one defined in by Struts' forward mapping for the action (whereas the session stored object scopes over all jsp's).
    Thanks,
    Seb

If the info is only required for one page, then a request attribute instead of a session attribute would seem appropriate.
Either that or load the data into an action form to display.

  • Specifications for a JSP programmer

I am looking for a document-template were the designer can write his / her specifications for a JSP programmer.
Were can I find such a template, or ideas of how to build it ?

for getting a correct answer to this question you should be a little more specific. What you mean by designer. Is this the graphic artist who designs the looks of the webpage or is it someone who designs the total application where the webpage is a part of.
If it is the graphic artist there is IMHO no document needed for the programmer. You know how it should look and all the graphics are already in place.
If the application-archtitect is what you mean by designer, well supply the jsp-programmer whit an ordinary GUI specification.
But as far as I know there is no template to fill in the blanks for this kind of purpose
