Site not appearing correctly on browser or on iPhone

Hi everyone,
I have a site - http://www.amsivertson.com - if you go to the "photography" page, you'll see my problem. (tested in current versions of Firefox & Safari and on iPhone 3G)
1.The text on the site can't be selected in order to copy/paste
2.Try clicking and dragging on it and you'll see it follow your cursor as if it's an image -- and sometimes you'll notice it loads progressively like an image as well
3. if you view it on an iPhone, all that appears are the first couple of headings, and then only the links - no other text - it actually appears as a large empty square - like an image that isn't fully downloaded - but any links appear where they should and function correctly.
Any thoughts?

1 - the reason the text box has been converted to a png file is possible caused by using non-web safe fonts, a drop shadow or some other enhancement to the text or box itself. Open iWeb's preferences and check the option to show text imaging indicator. Then any text box which will be changed will show this:
Also consider using only Web Safe Fonts which will make viewing of your site on other platforms more uniform.
2 - can't help you much with the iPhone issue but set the page width to 980 which is the iPhone's width in pixels. Any thing less causes problems I'm told.

First, validate your code by running your website through the following page:
http://validator.w3.org/
Next run your page through the CSS validator:
http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/
Basically the second one will just tell you that you need to declare a width on any element that uses a float.
Also if you need help fixing a specific problem can you please post what browser and version the page looks bad in? Right now I see no discrepancies in either Firefox or Safari which leads me to believe what you are describing is probably only happening in IE. So if you could please state which version(s) of IE you are noticing the issues with.

Site not appearing correctly after publishing

Ok so i create a new site using the default white template page. I then change the width to something like 1100% & then add my own custom background. I then proceed to move the nav bar a little to the right & then place the site name in a text box just left of it...
...Now my problem is that when i publish the site everything is unaligned & has move slightly to the right of the page :? I have yet to add anything else to the page until i can get this sorted out. Ohhh & i have attached a before & after screenshot just so that you can see my problem ;-)

Thanks for the reply but it's of no help, I already know all that stuff. What i am actually doing is creating the site using iweb & then uploading it to a server using cyberduck as the server im uploading to doesn't seem to like the way iweb uploads it :?
When i click on your link i just get the same thing as before. Only this time ive added a bit more to the page...

Adobe Muse Site not appering correctly on Phone?

Ok so I have my site ready, it's created with Adobe Muse and published. I am hosting it with business catalyst and redirecting to it from my domain name service. The page appears correctly on the computer and the phone using the link "juniorstaqueria.businesscatalyst.com" however when I go through my link "www.juniorstaqueria.com" which is currently pointing to "juniorstaqueria.businesscatalyst.com" the phone version does not appear correctly and is zoomed out.
Could someone please help me understand why this is happening?

Update #1: I went back in and updated everything on the site to be 366px. The site is set to a width of 380px therefore the page in a desktop browser if you go there directly appears as it does on my phones http://juniorstaqueria.businesscatalyst.com/phone/index.html
It will not allow you to resize past a min of 380px as it is supposed to however the browser windows are stretching the content way far out. Is there a way to put in the pages to do a "max-width of 380px"? This would not allow any browser to stretch the window. I think this could fix the problem but I really don't understand that when I go to the page with the business catalyst link its fine but with the domain link I paid for it is totally wrong, even though it goes to the phone page it treats it like it's a desktop page.
Update #2: I went and moved my site host to a different provider than the business catalyst site and now this time the mobile version appears 100% correctly but the Desktop version gives me the following error:
MuseJSAssert: Error calling selector function:TypeError: undefined is not an object (evaluating '$(window).data("ResolutionManager").activate')
If I can figure out why this error is occurring when I host it myself and fix it I will just host the site instead of using catalyst which doesn't display it correctly with a domain link.

Website suddenly not appearing correctly in Firefox under Windows 7

I've had a website running for a couple of years now with no problems, but one of my clients sent me an email saying it's not appearing correctly on her system, Windows 7 runnning Firefox v. 15. I am on a MAC and have looked at the site on 4 different browsers and it looks fine, I also installed Firefox (v. 16) on a PC running Windows 7 and it looks fine there. Near as I recall I haven't made any changes to the site's structure, so I'm stumped. The website is http://www.horizonwings.org. Can anyone help? I've attached a couple of screen captures showing what she sees. Thank you.

I see the same problem as your client in Firefox 16 on Windows 7. To fix the problem, add clear: left to the style for leftColMain

Buttons do not appear correctly in Firefox

My company uses IE 7 as their standard browser within the company. I am developing an extranet application so that the public can access my company's information. Since APEX supports both IE and Firefox, the application needs to appear the same in both versions. Everything looks fine except for the buttons.The buttons in my applications appears correctly in IE 7 but it does not appear correctly in Firefox 3.5.5.

According to FireBug, the following style in the PA_t15WL class is causing the problem:
background-position:0 50%;If you remove this, the button displays ok in FireFox - not sure what effect it has on IE7, though

Horizontal Spry Submenu does not appear correctly in IE

I am building a site in Dreamweaver CS5 and my spry submenus do not appear correctly in IE.   I work on a mac, but have been checking my work on a pc.   I have tried looking through other posts and have made some corrections (I at least got the submenus to appear vertically instead of laterallly in IE) but still have two problems:
   * The submenus are shifted to the right rather than aligning under the menu headings
   * One one menu (Attorneys) the submenus appear above, rather than below, the menu heading

Websites do not appear correctly.

After about a few hours of being on the internet (continuously or not), web pages will start to not appear correctly. The only way I have found to fix this is to clear the history. (Cookies, cache, etc.) This is only a temporary fix though and I would like to not have to do this every few hours when I'm in the middle of something. I haven't been able to find anything else on this at all besides the temp. fix of clearing the cache.

If you use extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) that can block content (e.g. Adblock Plus, NoScript, Flash Block, Ghostery) then make sure that such extensions aren't blocking content.
You can try basic steps like these in case of issues with web pages:
Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
*Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
*Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
*Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

Help with indesign epub not appearing correctly on ipad

Can someone please tell me why my epub does not appear correctly when viewed on my ipad? It seems to push like a quarter of my full page image onto the next page. I don't want it to do this! I want it to looks like it does in ibooks on my mac.

I am using Ind CC 2014 exporting a document to a reflowable epub. The document contains an .ai image. The image exports correctly in some parts of the.epub but not others, where it is distorted. There is a warning on export :"Non rectangular objects will not appear correctly when exported using CSS." Any suggestions appreciated.

Let's try a standalone Apple Mobile Device Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of why it's not installing under normal conditions.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:

Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi (or AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi) to do a standalone AMDS install.
(If it offers you the choice to remove or repair, choose "Remove", and if the uninstall goes through successfully, see if you can reinstall by doubleclicking the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi again.)
Does it install (or uninstall and then reinstall) properly for you? If so, can you get a normal iTunes install to go through properly now?
If instead you get an error message during the install (or uninstall), let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.)

Likely a hardware issue... no way around that except to get it repaired or don't use it (the button).

If you are seeing your photos in "Last Import", the photos are somewhere in your library. Perhaps the dates are wrong, and you do not see the photos arranged by date, where you expect them to be.
Select one of the photos on "Last Import", then ctrl-click it and select "Show in Event". That will take you to the event in event view.
