SJWS SP3 - Not including some jars from war file

I have a problem when deploying my application using the new Java Web Server SP3 that when my application is deployed my weblogic.jar and j2ee.jar are not included in the classpath that is created.
I have turned on finest detail logging and it does not say why these jar files are not being included in the path.
They are in the war files lib dir just like all the other jars(about 14 of them).
The only way I can get the app to run under SJWS is to add these other two files manualy to the classpath in the server.xml file.
This app runs fine under JRun 4.0 with no issues.
Why is this server dropping these jars and not even telling me it did it? What can I do to make it include these files in the proper classpath?

OK, now I think I understand your problem.
If it is your calendar that is being shared with other users who have been granted editing priviliges, you will not be able to exclude those events from printing.

I've restarted several times. If I restore from backup, unfortunately the backup was done after iOS7 downloaded. Now, am I wrong that "restore as new" will essentially wipe me out? If so, and having backup, you're saying essentially start over and then backup?

JSP is not updated after redeploying new war file

I have a simple code change in JSP in a war file. When I redeploy the war file, I do not see modified JSP. Very strange.
I am using Weblogic 8.1 and copying new war file under Admin/upload folder.

Here are the steps:
1. Modify JSP
2. Run ant to create new war file
3. Copy war file to Weblogic's Admin/upload/web_module_name folder
Redeploy Application from console or restarting admin and appserver does not seem to unjar modified war file into Admin/upload and Stage folders. Can someone tell me how to force weblogic to take this new war file to deploy into Stage area?

The problem is absolutely not Reader. The problem is that FireFox has stepped in front of Reader and handles all the PDF stuff - wrongly in your case. FireFox is DESIGNED to take over PDF files. But it is not capable of doing IRS forms!
To start with go back to IE for these forms. When you save them to disk DO NOT DOUBLE CLICK ON THEM until this is fixed. Just open the in the normal way - start Adobe Reader and use Open from the File menu.

Do not include some lines in Subtotals and totals in ALV

I am printing a report with all sale order details and Quantities( delveered ,conformed etc..) iam doing subtotals based on the material and Plant.
In this if the document date is less than the SY-DATUM, we should not include the quantity into the subtotals and totals, Only the orders wiht doc date GQ to Sy-datum then display them..
As of now I am using ALV grid display and doing the sums by
l_wa_fcat-do_sum = c_x. (field catalog) for the whole colom) but i want to avoid sum row from tehe calculation based on the condition.
Do we have any way to achive this, like if we want to have separate color for a purticular Cell then we add an extra field in outout table and we link this field with layout-coltab_fieldname in the same way or any other way if we have.
I will be thankfull to if you can provide me your valuable suggesstions on this. it is very urgent. I am trying in all the ways from my side.

Safari is not showing some images from web properly

Hi. Since last week some pictures from web are not showing properly on safari & mail apps.
Whenever I go to websites with relatively many images, some of the images are only showing top halves and the bottom halves are solid black.
This has never happened before.
As it was so annoying, I've tried deleting safari history, cookies, and web data, and I also tried network reset.
None of them worked.
What's weird is that this issue doesn't happen when I'm using wifi, but happens when I use LTE.
My signal dots are full 5, and LTE is still faster than my wifi.

You can fix the issue temporarily by going to Settings > Safari > Clear History and Website Data. Note that this will log out of any website you were logged in to, and will clear your browsing history (if you use suggested websites from your history when going to new pages), but it will reset the cache containing the incorrect images.
Another way to fix this issue temporarily is to use Settings > Safari > Advanced > Website Data and swipe to delete only those domains that have incorrect images. This does the equivalent of clearing website data, but only for the specific site removed. Note that images are frequently served from different domains than the host site, so you must clear the domains where the images are stored. Also, this page doesn't have a way to filter the list, so you must look through it manually, which is why I don't suggest it as the first option.
BTW, the majority of posts reporting this issue appear to be AT&T customers.

Class not found error when jar in war file

I am using Java Creator 2 and have a project. The required libraries have been added to the library manager and the "package" checkbox has been checked. This means they will be added to the deployment.
After deployment, I check the war file and it contains the proper libraries. However, when I run it by using the "run main project" option from the menu there is ClassNotFound exception. The class that cannot be found is in one of the jars in the war file. As I said, I have checked this war file after deployment and it contains the jar.
Only thing I can think of is that another classloader is being used. Incidentally, (I hope), the missing class file is related to hibernate. During the creation of the Hibernate session factory, it cannot find this file. But hibernate should have nothing to do with it. The fact is a class file cannot be found even though it is in a jar contained in the war file.
Any ideas?

Not receiving some emails from specific sender.

Hi.I just started getting the problem of not receiving some emails. I have not had this problem with the sender until yesterday. My sender is sending me emails from gmail, some with attachments and some without, to my comcast email and it's not getting through. It is just one specific sender that I know of. I narrowed it down to my comcast account because I had the sender send myself the email to my comcast address and cc me on my gmail address. I received it on my gmail account but not my comcast account. I use Outlook for comcast but I even checked the webmail on comcast with nothing there. I checked the spam folder also and it's not there. Please help, these are important emails. Thank you.

Same issue, as far as I know it is just 1 person. But I have no way of knowing. I also had them CC my Gmail and it went through to Gmail but not my comcast. I then had them use a secondary comcast email and it didn't go through. Comcast seems to be blocking this person for some unexplained reason. It's frustrating and so far has cost me $525 because they thought I was ignoring them. They are using my Gmail until I get it straightened out, so the financial loss shouldn't increase, I just hope others aren't having the same problem and I don't know about it.

Can not transffer some songs from itunes to ipod

Are you using a 1st or second generation shuffle and what format are the songs that won't move? Some formats that play in iTunes are not compatible with the 1st generation iPod shuffle, Aiff and Apple Lossless for instance. Apple Lossless is not supported on the 2nd generation shuffle:

WLS does not handle reusable jar with tag-files?

I want to encapsulate some tag-files in a re-usable jar that can be included in multiple applications. According to all the documentation that I've found what I need to do is create a jar file containing:
META-INF/taglib.tld
META-INF/tags/myTag.tag
where the taglib.tld contains (among other things):
<uri>myTag</uri>
<tag-file>
<name>someName</name>
<path>META-INF/tags/myTag.tag</path>
</tag-file>
Then I am supposed to take that jar file and put it in my web application under WEB-INF/lib,
and in my index.jsp I can refer to <%@taglib prefix="myt" uri="myTag">
However when I do this (on wls 12c) the application seems to deploy ok but when I try to access index.jsp I get:
weblogic.servlet.jsp.CompilationException: Failed to compile JSP /index.jsp
index.jsp:14:4: No tag library could be found with this URI. Possible causes could be that the URI is incorrect, or that there were errors during parsing of the .tld file.

Related facts:
1. When I deploy these projects in Glassfish it works . as I expected based on the documentation with no errors.
2. If I copy the tag files and tld with no modification directly into the web application as:
<my web app>/WEB-INF/taglib.tld
and <my web app>/META-INF/tags/myTag.tag
then it does work. However, that prevents me from packaging the tag-files as a re-usable jar.
(Facts 1 & 2 seem to imply that the files are correct and that WebLogic is not handling the jar correctly?)
3. I've seen suggestions that there needs to be a <taglib> entry in web.xml. I have tried this and...
- the text I've seen on the web generates an error. It seems to need to be within a <jsp-config> entry in web.xml.
- even with this I still get the same error.
Does anyone have a suggestion for how to get Weblogic to handle tag-files inside a re-usable jar?
Do you have an example jar you can point me to just to see that it works on my system?
Is there some special configuration needed by Weblogic to tell it to handle this construct?
And finally, the error message is saying that one of two things is wrong:
Either:
A) it cannot find the referenced taglib file, or
B) the tld file failed to compile.
Is there any way for me to find out which of these is happening? The error messages in WLS do not seem to give any more info, so I cannot easily distinguish between these possibilities.

 Within a war file, I have a jsp which lies within a directory called /phase1 underneath the document root,
 containing the line:
 <%@ taglib uri="../xlab-taglib.tld" prefix="xlab" %> (1)
 which is saying that the taglib is in the directory above, which is the document root. So when
 xlab-taglib.tld is in the document root, everything works fine on JRun & Tomcat, but on Weblogic,
 I get this error:

 So for some reason weblogic starts looking for the tag-lib from /WEB-INF, whereas Tomcat & JRun
 both start from the directory that the calling jsp is in (/phase1).
 (In fact, either way you end up at the document root, but weblogic doesn't seem to like the fact that I'm
 trying to go up a level from WEB-INF).
 If I change the line (1) to:
 <%@ taglib uri="xlab-taglib.tld" prefix="xlab" %> (2)
 and put xlab-taglib.tld under /WEB-INF, then (on weblogic) the error is eliminated, but Tomcat and
 JRun then both fail because they're looking in the document root for the tag-lib, but now it's in WEB-INF.
 I've also tried including several variations of the taglib element in the web.xml file, e.g.:
 <taglib>
 <taglib-uri>../</taglib-uri>
 <taglib-location>xlab-taglib.tld</taglib-location>
 </taglib>
 or
 <taglib>
 <taglib-uri></taglib-uri>
 <taglib-location>xlab-taglib.tld</taglib-location>
 </taglib>
 (or not including it at all), but none of these variations seem to make any difference on either
 webserver.
 Does anyone know how to solve this?

Class file missing from war file deployment

I have a web application that is being deployed to a war file. I have deployed several times successfully. Then with the latest changes, there is a class file that does not get included into the war file. It does get compiled and does exist in the project directory.
The class file is in a seperate project from the project where the war file deployment profile is; however both projects are in the same workspace.
There are several other classes in the project that contains the missing class file that does get included in the war file. I don't see anywhere in the profile where these files are selected individually.
I'm at a loss as to how to fix this problem other than add the file after deployment.
Appreciate any help or ideas...

Aperture is not displaying some images quoting 'unsupported file format'.

I have tried to update, reboot, restart aperture, reprocess, move files and viewed the file in finder which is still not responsive. They are from a Nikon D3100 which has been working fine, even images from the same imort have worked correctly but the majority of them have not.I have successfully imported other files since without a problem, I see there have been some issues with people and tried some of the methods mentioned, anyone with some help there?

Running Oracle Reports via a client using system.exec call from war file

Hi all,
I am trying to deploy a war file application to a J2EE 10.1.3 application server. The deployment successfully completes. However testing the application fails.
When testing, the application reveals that calling a Oracle Reports 6i client (using a cmd line exec) from the war file returns application errors. The errors we get from executing the call below (using debug statements), creates this error:

Error on Screen is REP-0178 : Cannot connect to reports service.
However running the same command from a operating system command prompt in windows reveals that the command runs successfully.
Is there any particular OC4J J2EE settings that are required to get this statement to run properly?

Hi All,
From much research and experimenting to get this to work I looked at the java.lang.Runtime class and noticed that seperate processes can be started using this very important Java class.
The first thing that I experimented with was in regards to seeing the environment OC4J runs against. Using the java.lang.Runtime class I executed a standard "cmd /c set" command in my Windows environment, and noticed that Oracle Application Server uses its own environment and not a standard windows login environment for its OC4J containers. Apache Tomcat on the other hand uses the standard user login environment.
So to get the application to be able to work properly we needed to override the particular environment the process needed to be able to get it to work. There is a exec command which allows you to override completely the environment for a process you would like to run. This method call does not in any way shape or form change the standard OC4J environment. This was done by executing the same "set" but with the overriden environment. Note that no environment variables from the OC4J container are carried into this new environment.
