SLD server Start Failure

Hi All,
I have found that the Jco connections got affected for the EP7 system, the reason of which was SLD server failure. I have found that the SLD server was stopped.
I have started it anyway, but wanted to know why it stopped. The following are the logs found. Can anybody help in getting the reason.
#2 11/09/2007 04:32:23.259 [SAPEngine_Application_Thread[impl:3]_5] WARNING com.sap.lcr.sagent.DataSupplierServlet: Request ignored! Received data for SLD bridge from 163.243.220.221. Bridge not started.
#1 11/07/2007 21:25:06.469 [SAPEngine_Application_Thread[impl:3]_10] WARNING com.sap.lcr.sagent.DataSupplierServlet: Request ignored! Received data for SLD bridge from 163.243.220.221. Bridge not started.
#0 11/07/2007 16:44:47.705 [SAPEngine_Application_Thread[impl:3]_24] FATAL com.sap.lcr.start.StartDirector: SLD start failure, profile parameter ObjectManager.BufferInstances must be set to FALSE in J2EE cluster environment. Change the SLD profile and start the application again.
Thanks,
VR.

Hi Vera,
From SLD manual; qoute "On an SAP J2EE Engine cluster with more. than one node, you must set the parameter BufferInstances to "false""

    What's the problem?
    Thanks in advance.

Never mind... the problem surfaced after renaming the web server without reinstalling the Siebel plugin. Problem was resolved by uninstalling/reinstalling the plugin.

  • Apache/PHP5.0.2  server start failure

I am running Solaris 9 112233-12 with dedault Apache. I have configured and compiled PHP 5.0.2 with the following woth no errors.
    configure with-mysql=/usr/local/mysql with-apxs=/usr/apache/bin/apxs with-zlib enable-bcmath enable-calendar enable-dbase enable-exif enable-ftp with-jpeg with-png with-tiff with-gd with-ttf enable-gd-native-ttf with-gettext with-iconv enable-mbstring=shared enable-shmop enable-sockets enable-sysvmsg enable-sysvsem enable-sysvshm --enable-memory-limit<br />
However when I start Apache I get the following error:
    httpd starting.
Syntax error on line 249 of /etc/apache/httpd.conf:
Cannot load /usr/apache/libexec/libphp5.so into server: ld.so.1: /usr/apache/bin/httpd: fatal: relocation error: file /usr/apache/libexec/libphp5.so: symbol xmlRelaxNGCleanupTypes: referenced symbol not found
/usr/apache/bin/apachectl start: httpd could not be started
It appears as though there is an libxml or libxml2 undefined symbol. Any Idea why this is happening.
    Thanks,
    Dave

has the libphp5.so file been loaded into the location specified in the httpd.conf.
this is edited into the httpd.conf file when you do a make install of php.
and if this is so, can the php runtime binary find all its libraries, ie ldd php.
it could be a library path issue.
when i do this i usualy create an installation with a new apache install, rather than use the sun supplied one, it just seems to be easier from my expirience.

  • JMS-related sun-appserver-pe8.0.0_01 default server start failure

On Dell Dimension 2400 XP system, appserver startup always fails after trying for 60 seconds to verify if the JMS service startup succeeded. This condition started 10 July. What is JMS? Why does it fail? What to do? Rich

    Hi
The Java Message Service (JMS) is a messaging standard that allows application components based on the Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE) to create, send, receive, and read messages. It enables distributed communication that is loosely coupled, reliable, and asynchronous.
JMS is bundled and installed with Application Server 8. JMS runs on a port 17676. If this port is occupied by any other process, the JMS will not start. Please check if this port is occupied by any other process or change the default JMS port in domain.xml (<Creator-root>/Appserver8/domains/creator/config/domain.xml)

  • SLD Server can not start

    Dear Experts,<br>
    I need your help...<br>
    <br>
    I installed ABAP+Java stack (ECC6.0 and SAP J2EE Engine/7.00 PatchLevel 109886.44).<br>
When I view http://myserver01:50000/sld, I saw that the SLD server is stoped and I can not start it even I click "Start Sever button", system gave me error message "Failed to send start signal for complete cluster, SLD may still be stopped on other cluster nodes.".<br>

I checked the log in Administration tab, the log said:<br>

    <br>
    <br>
    <br>
Further more, I was a little bit confused about the SLD HTTP Port, that is during the installation parameter setting phase (SAP Sytem-> Central SLD), I choose SLD destination as "Register in existing central SLD(default)", and set SLD port to "8089", SLD Data Supplier User as "SLDDSUSER", but I can not find user "SLDDSUSER" in ABAP SU01, it's very strange. when I tried to view http://myserver01:8089/sld, it said "Page can not be found", could you tell me what's the difference between these two URL: Http://myserver01:8089/sld and http://myserver01:50000/sld?<br>
    <br>
There are totally two questions(one problem and one question) of mine, any suggestions is welcome and it's surely that I will follow up and close this thread for the effective solutions.
    <br>
Thank you very much in advance.<br>

    Hi Nick,
    1. Is SLD a pure java component that ABAP system should connect it through gateway port (JCo or something else..) and Java engine connect it directly with HTTP/HTTPS?
    Above statment is right
    2. So, the mechanism of Solution manager to manage all the systems is also based on SLD? Can we monitor all the system landscape without Solution manager, just SLD instead?
SLD is central repositoy to store system data present in landscape , Solution manager is used to monitor all the system using SLD also.
We can't montior system by just using SLD.
    3. The functionality of the Visual Administrator->Cluster->Server->Services->SLD Data Supplier is to provide user inforamtion of the system that will be registered info. onto the SLD server, not configuring the SLD Server? (SLD is configured through Webpage port 50000 and to-be registered server is configured through Visual Administrator?
SLD Data Supplier is a area in As java system where you provide the information of existing SLD system ( the Exisiting SLD mean where SLD services is running )
    SLD is purely java component
user SLDDSUSER belongs to the "TO-BE Registered" system, not the SLD server, am I understanding right?
    SLDDSUSER belong to SLD server
so, the event of "Trigger SLD data transfer" is to send system information to the SLD Server
    Yes.
    Thanks
    Anil

  • SLD Server does not start

    Hi,
I try to configure my local SLD. I created all the roles and groups mentioned in http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/43/ce62c162cd0cd4e10000000a1553f7/content.htm. I put my Administrator User in all of the created groups. When entering the SLD I get told that the "SLD Server has stopped".
When I try to start the server it fails with some error messages. This is the first one:
#57 03/21/2008 18:00:32.360 [SAPEngine_Application_Thread[impl:3]_24] ERROR com.sap.lcr.cimsrv.ClusterNotificationSender$JMSSender: Failed to initialize cluster notification sender. Please check your JNDI service and JMS provider for errors.

Maybe it is a problem with permissions. But I cannot find the action mentioned in the error message "action produce and instance SLDClusterNotificationTopic".
Any idea how I can solve this problem.
    Thanks in advance.
    Best,
    Stephan

    Hi,
Just a hint from the link you mentioned.
"If you want to set up SLD security for test purposes, you only have to map the LcrAdministrator role to the SAP_SLD_ADMINISTRATOR group and assign an administrator user to this group."
Did you add Administrator user to SAP_SLD_ADMINISTRATOR group mapped to LcrAdministrator role? If not, try it too.
Also check these blogs for configuring SLD.

  • SLD server has stopped; start the SLD server in Administration

I am trying to configure Technical Systems in SLD (for deploying a webdynpro application which has models). Logged in as Administrator. I see this message when I login from the portal (https://host:port/sld):
"SLD server has stopped; start the SLD server in Administration." And all the links are greyed out.
When I log in to the Visual Admin, services->Sld->and tested the connection (with same ID as Administrator), I see "connection test failed CIMClientObject"
What ID, password should I be using for testing the connection for SLD in visual Admin. Or is this related to ID password at all.
    Thanks
    Srinivas

    Thanks for the replies!
I still have the same problem.
When I select the SLD Data Supplier under services in Visual Admin, I see an error on the task bar at the bottom: SLD_Collector_Task
When I open this item, I see the following error message:
"2008.12.10@10:51:20: HTTP call failed: Failed to send HTTP data: 503 : Service Unavailable. Please check if the target SLD system is available and the SLD bridge is started there"
Is this something related to SLD configuration.
    Thanks
    Srinivas

  • SLD server has not been started & Only local system can be administered

    Hi
After I installed the NWA sp16, I see two warning message
SLD server has not been started
Only local system can be administered
    on the NWA Overview page.
I checked the SLD server is running, and I executed all the NWA scenario template files without any errors.
Can someone tell me what I might have missed?
    Thanks
    Justin

    Hi Justin,
do you have the most topical Monitoring Setup Guide (https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/43f30e51-0a01-0010-f59a-fecea2b95b2c)? In chapter 5.6 this error is descibed.
And another thing: does your SLD run in the central monitoring system, as demanded in the Monitoring Setup Guide, chapter 5.3.1? This CTC template does only work in case of a local SLD.
    Hope that helps.
    Dirk

  • Start SLD server first ?????

    Hi,
I have logged into the SLD and tried to click Administration -> Content Maintanance.
It is saying "Start the SLD server first"
But the status of SLD is showing as "Running" on the top of the SLD page.
Please let me know if there is any other way to start the SLD.
      Thanks
       Sourav

    Hey,
Check scenario 3 : To start your local SLD Server, use your local SAP NetWeaver Administrator, connect your local J2EE Engine to report data to your SLD Server, and have several other J2EE Engines that report data to your SLD Server.

  • How to start SLD server

    Hi
can any one help on this error when click on check SLD iam getting the following error.
SLD Used By Applications: Not OK
      Configuration: OK

To start SLD Server follow the below steps
    Start Visual Administrator.
    To start it
    1)     Go to Server Installed path i.e. usr\sap\<systemid>\<systeminstance>\J2ee\admin
    2)Choose go.bat and start it.
3)Under Global Server Configuration, choose <Serverid>.
choose CIM Client Generation Settings and give Host Name, Port Number, User Name and Password.
4)You can test the SLD is configured properly or not. Just click CIM Client Test.
5)Save the settings and close Visual Administrator.
    6)Restart the server

  • Using environment variable / double quotes in "Arguments" in "Server Start"

I have an admin server, NodeManager, and 1 managed server, all on the same machine (windows). I am trying to enter something similar to this to the arguments field in the Server Start tab:
    -Dmy.property=%USERPROFILE%\someDir\someJar.jar
But when the managed server is started it throws this exception:
Error opening zip file or JAR manifest missing : %USERPROFILE%\someDir\someJar.jar
It appears that the environment variable is not being translated into it's value. It is just passed on to the managed server as plain-text. I tried surrounding the path with double quotes (") but the console validates the input and does not allow this: *"Arguments may not contain '"'"*
Even editing the config.xml file manually cannot work, as the admin server fails to startup after this:
    <Critical> <WebLogicServer> <BEA-000362> <Server failed. Reason: [Management:141266]Parsing failure in config.xml: java.lang
.IllegalArgumentException: Arguments may not contain '"'.>
I also tried using %20 to no avail, it is just passed as %20.
I thought that perhaps this had something to do with the spaces in the value of %USERPROFILE% (which is "C:\documents and settings.."), but the same thing happens with other env. variables which point to other directories with no spaces.
    _My question:_
Is there any supported way of :
using double quotes? what if i have to reference a folder with spaces in it's name?
reference an environment variable? What if i have to rely on it's value for distributed servers where i do not know in advance the variable's value?

    There is workaround : http://stackoverflow.com/questions/12629395/weblogic-using-environment-variable-double-quotes-in-arguments-in-server
Just posting here for reference. Let's see if we get a different answer from anyone else.

The issue occurred after upgrading from xf86-video-intel-v2.99.912-1 to v2.99.914+ and xorg-server-1.15.2-1 to 1.16.0-6 (and -devel).
    same issue if:
    - Switching accelaration method to "UXA" as per https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/40860
    - Adding    Option "DRI" "False"
    Digged a bit:
    - same modules errors but appears to be a Gnome bug (X starts): https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=1441716
    - same modules errors but X starts up without problems http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions … 175511372/
makes me doubt if this issue is related to the modules not found. Which is the single indication I found so far x-/
Any light on where can the issue comes from? hardware is pretty much standard even if getting a bit old. Never had Xorg related issue so far on this pancake.

  • License Error: License server general failure

    Hi All,
I have a very strange problem on my computer. Since this morning I cannot open SBO as I get the error License Error : 100000000 License Server General Failure. I have uninstalled the full SBO including deleted all my SBO databases and the SBO-COMMON database. I then deleted my SAP folder in Program Files, restarted my PC and reinstalled SBO... still the same error. Error is just after I click OK on the login window. License Manager seems to be working fine and license also loaded fine.
Also just wanted to say that my license did not expire (or I don't think so) as I checked my file license text file and it looks like Compatibility License for Add-ons expires 20080115 and the rest of the users 99991231.
    Any help appreciated!
    Adele

Adele, just try to load once again your license file
What i have done is cut a little my license file, check 'Write to log' option, and tried to load this damaged file.
    What i've received is:
    1. 'General error occured' message box
    2. ...SBOLicense\SBOLog.txt file with the following content:

  • Random Email server login failures

For the last month or so I have been having random email server login failures. This happens on my desktop and also on my smartphone, and possibly on a tablet. This is annoying because my mail program (Thunderbird) occasionally fails to start as a result. My cell phone also beeps when it fails to log into the email server, which is annoying. I am in Stuart, FL and haven't cme up with any other way to get support. Help.

I too am fed up with getting the constant run around from the Verizon support .... I even did a snail mail complaint to Verizon head quarters.... None of them respond acknowledging the problem.   They keep looking client side, when it is obvious from all these posts, it is on their server. For the money I pay every month just for Fios, I am currently investigating my local Time Warner package....
