Slightly...OT..... Bridge v Organiser

My preference currently is to use the Elements Organiser to do what it's good at....Organising. However, there are currently a couple of holes in Elements 3 that I don't care for. Since I do all my editing in CS, I've been looking at CS2 and the Bridge, but the trial so far doesn't impress me. This may just be the learning curve.
Does anyone have anything to say about Bridge v Elements Organiser? I'm not interested in creations etc just plain organisation.
Colin

Colin,
It would appear my interests are similar to yours. I've had Album since
version 1 and do like the Organizer for "Organizing" -- I don't use
Creations or even print from Organizer. Organizing, tagging, and finding is
much easier and better in PSE than Bridge. Bridge is pretty lame in that
area. But Bridge is much more powerful in terms of batch operations
(especially given the scripting support) and I'm far more comfortable with
the old File Browser type functionality in terms of my work style. I also
like the way Bridge handles image rotations in the thumbnails and the "light
table" sorting functionality.
I miss version sets in Bridge. That type of junctionality is only provided
though VersionCue which doesn't come with the Photoshop CS2 only package.
And, I still haven't made up my mind on Bridge collections. Also, Bridge is
much more folder oriented.
At first, I didn't like Bridge at all -- it was slow and clunky compared to
the old file browser and buggy. The 1.02 patch significantly improved the
responsiveness and stability of Bridge and removed that objection.
I am beginning to use raw much more now and the inability to account for the
sidecar files in Organizer (or to account for the ability of DNG files to
contain the settings in lieu of sidecar files) is a real issue. That alone
is driving me away from Organizer. Plus, the more I use it, the more
comfortable I am with Bridge and I'm finding I am using Organizer less and
less.
Since Bridge has only just been introduced, I expect that the next version
will be much better in terms of organizing capability and less locked in to
it's file browser roots.
I'm still a little reluctant to "cut the cord" but, at the rate things are
going, I expect I will probably do so sooner than later.

  • Organise in adobe bridge

    To DPS users,
looking at the organising of folders again, through adobe bridge and then into the folio builder, having sorted my files within bridge along with a new order structure for the content, but have yet to upload them onto acrobat.com. I have also taken screen shots for the layouts to record the settings from inside each folio article.
    any thoughts

    To Bob Levine,
Have you tried using Adobe Bridge to organising the folio files seeing they are already stored on the local drive, maybe this could be a way to re-arrange them before uploading to acrobat.com

  • Elements 8 to 11 and Bridge

I've taken the plunge and upgraded from Elements 8 to 11. With PSE8 I have been using Bridge for organising images as I am on a mac. I cant find any discussion about importing photos from Bridge into the new organiser. Only option when I start the Organiser is to import from files and folders. Does that mean I'm going to lose all my keywords, star ratings etc?

The metadata added in bridge is contained in the files (or an XMP sidecar for raw files)and should be picked up by Organizer.
    Use the Organizer menu:
File >> Get Photos & Videos >> From Files & Folders
Navigate to your root folder e.g. Pictures or My Pictures and select all sub-folders.
    Click Open or Get Media
Select all suggested keywords and click OK.
You could start by selecting a single folder as a test, to confirm it works.

  • Macbook pro - no thumbnails in Bridge CS4

    Hello to you all,
I've just purchased a new MacBook Pro & Photoshop Elements 8.0. I have installed Elements & made sure I have got the latest updates. The Mac is running Mac OS X v 10.6.4
When I open up the bridge to organise my photos it shows "MacHD>users>me>pictures" and there are 3 folders in content Photo Booth, iChat & iPhoto library. If I try & access the iPhoto library to see contents it opens the iPhoto application and exits bridge.
I have checked with Apple support & they say the photos are actually in a folder labelled 'originals' and that the iPhoto icon I am seeing in content is the processing application that sits above the content files, not the folder which contains the photo's.
I have tried with Adobe support but they cannot fix the problem - their suggestion was to move all the photos to a folder on the desktop & access that. It did work but it will mean I'll have duplicate photos everywhere.
Has anyone else encountered the same problem and found a fix? Feel very frustrated at the moment as I have watched all the tutorials on the subject & searched the web without any success. Maybe it's just me!
    Here's hoping, Mark

You do understand that bridge is just a browser and not an asset management program like iphoto or organizer?
You would need to get your photos out of the iphoto library unless you are using a referenced library. In any case, you don't want to be using two different programs with two different keywording methods. You cannot use bridge on the iphoto library file itself, no, even if you don't care about losing the photos it contains.

  • Aperture - Transfer a photography folder and sub-folders to the library

    Hi All,
Being a photographer, I recently jumped from my Dell XPS to the latest MacBook Pro and am still new on the use of Aperture.
Working on PC before then, I used to work a lot on Adobe Bridge to organise my pictures. I now work with Aperture that I find it amazing so far for fast treatment but I have an issue with uploading my photos to the library.
I have set up my full library on my windows explorer following a certain organisation (Folders and subfolders) and would like to upload all these photos on my Aperture library following the same structure. When I try to do so, Aperture just propose me to upload the photos on the folder but not on the subfolders.
Can anyone help about that? I basically need to load all the photos in one shot to my library and can't find out how to do it!
    Thanks for your help,
    Olivier

Hi, I am also fairly new to Aperture, but I think I got this one right... when I opened Aperture for the first time it did not have a library, and asked me to create one. I selected create new library, and then told it to leave my originals where they were. I selected the option to import folders as projects, and viola, the Aperture library resembled my Windows folder layout. If you delete the library (careful it is not the original files) and then open aperture you also get to start fresh in this way.
This is great until you import new photos into your master folders. To get them to show in Aperture in their folders/projects, you seem to have to download a new project, dash off to the source folders using Finder, reorganise the images and then recreate the library again using the same steps. Works, but long. Also I am not sure then how to manage all the changes I have made using the Vault. Lie I said, I am a beginner also... and seem to be stuck in transition between Windows workflows and Mac workflows...

  • PS CC - Crashes after clicking save.

    Hi,
I'm having problems when trying to save an image after editing it.
The scenario - I have a raw image, and a virtual copy of said image, open in lightroom 5. Both have had minor tweaks to them. I then highlight both images and click "edit in photoshop as layers".
All is well at this point. I then do what I do in photoshop which is minor editing, only a few basic layers, then I hit save. My goal here is for me to save what I have done in PS and then view image in lightroom etc etc.
However after clicking save, I keep getting a message saying Photoshop CC has stopped working, and I can search web for help or close program. Clicking on either closes photoshop and I lose what work I have done.
I'm not only new to photoshop but my tech knowledge is relatively basic when it comes to computer faults and programming etc. The "error code" I keep getting is MMXcore.8bx
This happens about 99% of the time however on a few, very few, occasions my image has saved and it's now in lightroom. Also when I open an image as layer in photoshop and then make a few basic adjustments to my image, the hit save it works. But when for example I convert a layer for smart filter and hit save , it crashes?! It only seems to happen after I do a bit more editing.
I really don't know what happenin and what information I need to provide for help, but basically I can't save my work and it's very frustrating!
    Thank you!
PS I should add that I'm not too sure how to provide my tech specs or the full error message. If I have left something out please say and I'll add to post at next opportunity. Thanks.

    Hi Chris,
None that I know of. To be fair this behavior has only begun to occur; I used PS CC regularly without problem. The only thing that I can think of is that I recently installed CC 2014, which caused some complexities using Bridge, which has changed my workflow slightly. Bridge CC is a bit confused as to where its loyalties lie. I used to open in ACR and then open from there into PSCC. That no longer works, as it apparently tries to launch into CC 2014 even if CC is open. "Open in" in the context menu does not contain an option for CC, so what I have to do is to launch CC, then go to Bridge and choose simply "Open", which launches an instance of ACR that connects to CC when I choose "Open".
Perhaps this causes some state in the system that, combined by some as yet unidentified keyboard command, causes the keyboard driver to hang. Just a completely uneducated speculation. Using CC 2014 I use my normal workflow faultlessly, so I will just go ahead and get all my plugs installed and drop CC completely.

  • Have just reinstalled PE12. Trying to access Editor - asks for ADOBE ID which I enter but program does not load.

Had problems with having the serial number acknowledged by the Photoshop Elements 12 (Organiser worked fine but Editor wouldn't open).
Chat support suggested I delete and reinstall program from an Adobe website download link.  Have done that and now have slightly different problem.
Organiser still works fine but Editor asks for ADOBE ID which I enter but editor program does not load.
ADOBE website clearly confirms the product is registered against my ID.
Chat support now saying that they no longer provide support for PE12 Editor - only 13!
This is in direct conflict with the support advertised in the product's "Getting Started" brochure.
Only purchased PE 12 a couple of months ago (just prior to PE13 release) - find that this is pretty poor service.

    Sandeep,
Thank you for your advice, but this is way too involved for me. Please forgive me, but I do not feel comfortable doing this on my own. I really need a live chat or phone help!
I just uninstalled PSE 12 through control panel and yet in Windows Explorer I see it listed under the Program Files (x86)/Adobe. Photoshop Elements 8.0 is also in that directory. I have been trying to uninstall PSE 8 but keep getting error 1316. To further complicate the situation when I tried to reinstall PSE 12 yesterday I got a message that I needed to create a new folder. So I have Program Files (x86)/Elements 12 Organizer now even though I just uninstalled PSE 12.
I am so confused and frustrated! I have wasted 3 days trying to resolve this. PSE 12 was working great until a few days ago. I do have a backup of my catalog on an external hard drive. I just need to talk to someone on the phone or a live chat.

  • Do search engines make use of IPTC Core metadata?

I'm using Bridge to organise a large group of maps (the maps are JPEG images), which will be published on my organisation's website. These maps are about niche topics and very specific areas of the UK.
I'm wondering if there are any SEO benefits from adding IPTC Core metadata to these map images using Bridge? Does anyone know if search engines use the meta?
Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Thanks for the replies. Yes, I'm talking about whether Google etc. pay any attention to the meta in the images.
My map images are exported from the source map application as JPEGs.
I'm not using a batch 'Save for web' in Photoshop, as the map images aren't designed for viewing in web pages - I'm just putting the maps up on the web to quickly share them for re-use by other people.
In Bridge, I can quickly add the basic meta (copyright notice, addresses, rights usage terms, etc.) by selecting all the JPEGs and then do the title and description individually. Just wondering if it's worth the effort?

  • PS CC crashes keyboard

A new one on me--After using PS CC for some minutes the entire keyboard hangs. I am still able to use pointing devices and the enter key, but every other key stops functioning. Interestingly, my keyboard is illuminated, and has a few second inactivity delay, after which the backlight fades. When the keyboard crashes, the keyboard stays illuminated. If I try to use the keyboard with other programs, it is also non-functional until I close PS. Then normal keyboard functioning is restored.
I googled this and found that another person reported the same phenomenon, using a Mac. I am on a PC running Win 7 Pro. Does anyone have any clue as to what might be causing this? I obviously can't be restarting PS every five minutes, especially given that once this happens, saving any open files is impossible.
    TIA,
    Toby

  • Adobe Bridge 4 vs Iphoto 09 using referenced libraries

I've always used iphoto with referenced libraries, usually with no problem with an external HD with my imac. The reason: I don't want to consume my HD with hundreds of photos and video files and large photoshop files. Here's what I would like to do. I recently purchased Apple's new time capsule, and would like to do the following, store all these media files on the time capsule, with iphoto's library on my imac's HD and referencing those media files on the time capsule, wirelessly. My question is, would adobe bridge be a better way to view and track these media files rather than using iphoto? Any insight with either programs would be appreciated.
I do like using iphoto for creating web galleries with mobileme, and the occasional phonebook. In those instances, I usually copy over the files to my hd and copy them into iphoto so there are no corruption issues.
Oh, and the other reason to storing these files on the time capsule is so that my husband's pc laptop and my mac laptop (powerpc G5) would have access to these files too.

    1. You know that's not a supported use for a Time Capsule, right? And folks who have tried storing items other than Back Ups on there have had permissions issues etc.
    2. Running a Referenced Library is fraught with problems +should anything go wrong+. This is particularly the case where the Library and the files are stored on different volumes. If the path changes in any way you will need to resolve each alias individually. There is no need to have all the photos referenced if you want to store them on an external drive. You can easily run a Managed library from an external disk.
    3. I'm not sure what, if anythign, Bridge would bring to the set up. It's a file browser and not a Photo Organiser. You might want to post on an Adobe forum for more on Bridge. The one thing I will tell you is that the "file management" capabilities of Bridge make it lethal to photos also managed by iPhoto.

  • Adobe bridge or iphoto with photoshop elements

Hi I am a new Mac user - have come from windows then linux and finally hoping to be less frustrated on a Mac!!
I am just learning about all of the features on iphoto, adobe bridge and elements (which i have used before). I need the editing capacity of elements but am unsure of which photo database / organisational system would be best for me to work with it.
I am not a photographer but have lots of photos and I do a lot of website editing.
Currently I have several versions of an original photo, eg cropped and rescaled to particular dimensions for a particular site and in other dimensions for another site - some sites have 100kb limits, some pictures need to be specific sizes - eg 555 x 135 pixels but don't have such specific size limitations. i currently organise these by putting crop or web or header file name extensions to the original file and save as.
I re-use the files a lot so need to keep the saved versions - otherwise I have to re-edit them each time.
In iphoto it seems that I need to make duplicates of the original to be able to have several versions all side by side to choose from but this will triple or quadruple the hard disk space when i just need to save the versions (much smaller in size) as different files.
Otherwise I think I need to save it to the desktop and then import it which is time consuming and messy.
In bridge it seems more flexible for this particular feature but it doesn't seem to have all the features that iphoto has for other projects like making books, calenders, the face recognition etc.
I know I need to choose between the two and stick with one, but am unsure which would be best.
Is there a way to save various versions of an original in iphoto easily after it is edited in photoshop and to have some system of naming the files so I can see which version it is as it not always easy to see quality differences in a thumbnail?
Thank you very much for your advice.

iPhoto is a Mom and Pop photo organiser and you’re usage is a bit beyond that.
In iphoto it seems that I need to make duplicates of the original to be able to have several versions all side by side to choose from but this will triple or quadruple the hard disk space when i just need to save the versions (much smaller in size) as different files.
Yes you will. Aperture has the ability to have different versions from one Master.
Otherwise I think I need to save it to the desktop and then import it which is time consuming and messy.
Hard to see what that would save really.
Is there a way to save various versions of an original in iphoto easily after it is edited in photoshop and to have some system of naming the files so I can see which version it is as it not always easy to see quality differences in a thumbnail?
No, you can’t have different versions from one Master (see above) but if you duplicate a file you can give the dupe a title.

  • Adobe Bridge CS3

    Hello, All
I recently upgraded to Adobe Photoshop CS3 for serious image manipulation and realized Bridge would (Should!) solve some frustrations with iPhoto's organization characteristics (such as its inability to sort named filmrolls alphabetically other than by drag and drop). But I still want to use iPhoto as the primary application to view, slightly modify, create slideshows and email images, because sometimes Photoshop is overkill.
Bridge allows, in Preferences, to specify the application to open images, and defaults to Adobe Photoshop CS3. After browsing and changing the application to iPhoto, and navigating to an original photo in iPhoto/Library/Originals/FolderName, and then double clicking the image in Bridge, it opens the iPhoto application but then fails to open the image. The error message displayed is "the following file could not be imported. The file is in the iPhoto library," and then the path to the file is also displayed.
Well, of course the file is in the iPhoto library because that's what my Mac defaults to import all photos with (or did in the past, and I might change that).
So, if you have beared with me this far, my question is -- does anybody know how to make Adobe Bridge 3 open images in iPhoto properly? Obviously, I'm missing something, and would appreciate your help. Thanks.

You can use Bridge to view the Originals folder of your iPhoto library but you can't do any editing, moving, renaming, etc. as that's the same as Tampering with files in the iPhoto Library folder from the Finder. A big NO-NO. But you can view them and their metadata.
Bridge is primarily a browser with metadata capabilities associated with an editor. And, as PhillyPhan pointed out, is exclusive from iPhoto.
    Do you Twango?
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • Elements and Bridge

I have been EXTREMELY happy with using Photoshop Elements 8 together with Adobe Bridge (which came bundled with PSE).  This has proved an excellent combination for the enthusiastic (and excessively prolific!) amateur.  I import my photos (normally RAW) into Bridge, (using Bridge to add a date to the filenae, and then putting them into year folders), I add the metadata in Bridge there, and then I edit in PSE.
But it is time to update - plus a friend has asked for advice and I wanted to recommend this combination to her.  I thought I would first check prices etc and find I am baffled by the lack of mention of Adobe Bridge on the Adobe (UK) site.  Has it been superseded by something else which does the same thing, or has the photo management software become integrated into PSE?  My friend is currently using iPhoto and is rapidly becoming irritated by the idiosyncratic photo management system (the reason I too migrated to Adobe).  I have already enthused to her about PSE but she would be disappointed if she could not organise her photos in the way I do.
I have tried searching on the Adobe site for the answer to this, without success.

I can now confirm definitely that you can no longer by Photoshop Elements bundled with Bridge :-(
What an absolute crying shame.  It would have been so nice if Adobe had continued to offer us the option of Bridge or Organizer for photo management.
I was on the phone for an hour talking to Adobe support in India (a country which I love, but I had the first ever language communication problems with a call centre).  Finally somebody said that he did not understand how I had managed to get Elements 8 with Bridge CS4 but that he could confirm that Bridge only comes with the full Photoshop CS (no way as a pensioner and widow can I afford that!).
I cannot see anywhere on the Adobe site how one can suggest improvements, but they sure do need them.  They need a page on Adobe Bridge, saying explicitly that it is now only sold as part of the CS package.  And on their download pages they need to spell this out in requirements.  I carefully read the spec and could see no reason now do download AdobeBridge_4.0.5_mul_AdobeUpdate.com   But of coursed it then failed to update.

  • Bridge CC constantly re-caching some folders (again).

My new Bridge CC on Win 7 is repeatedly re-caching thumbnails on some folders. Not all folders, just some, and that is my mystery. I have been doing extensive tests and yet can't determine what it is about some folders or their contents that cause a constant re-cache.
Would like to know if anyone else is seeing a re-caching problem with Bridge CC, and if you have a clue why?
I have tried all the usual suspects, short of a complete re-install. I've updated, I've trashed preferences, I've tried many different image folders and contents. I've set my cache size to the max and put it on a disk with tons of room.  I've completely deleted the cache and started over. Can't find any rhyme or reason.
This problem is similar to one I and several other people had with CS6 many months ago.
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1024624?start=0&tstart=0
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1007560
Different people reported different causes and cures. In my case, the cause was the presence of layered TIF files in a folder. Disabling TIF support made it go away.  The final cure for me was the last update to CS6 Bridge.
But my current CC Bridge cache problem is not the same. Layered TIFs are definitely not the cause. It appears to happen only on folders with raw files, but not all of them. It does not happen on different folders containing tif or jpeg versions of the same files. Something is making Bridge think the files in a folder have changed when, in fact, they have not.

I have less sympathy. The bug has been documented for several years, and no one seems to have taken ownership of the problem. As it only affects Bridge, it appears to automatically become very low priority. The only reason the first bug was fixed was because I isolated the cause and then badgered Adobe. So, I reckon the only way to get the second bug fixed is if us users can find a way to recreate the symptoms reliably.
I have about 40,000 images in scores of folders, organised by century, year and month-date. I'd say more than 3/4 of the folders are unaffected by the bug. The folders that are affected tend to regenerate up to 3/4 of the thumbnails. Clearing the cache for the folder can sometimes reduce this fraction. As you noted, copying them to a new location can remove the problem, but this is not necessarily permanent, and it often returns. Simply copying the files to another computer doesn't work. It seems to be a problem with the cache and the Bridge database.
I've spent several hours trying to diagnose the criteria which triggers the bug. The ONLY thing which seemed to help was to untick the "Enable Lens Profile Corrections" box. It killed the repeats dead on my system. My guess is that this bug is more likely to affect people to change Camera Raw defaults to enable this feature and process most or all of their images, as they will have a very high percentage of thumbnails subject to LPCs in every folder. Like the 6.1 bug, the 7.3 bug probably needs some other condition to trigger the cache discrepancy which causes the regeneration.
So, my workaround was to remove LPC from all of my non-shortlisted images, and from Camera Raw defaults. Now, I only use LPC on my best images, and only if necessary. It seems to have cut down the drain on resources, but the better my photos, the more work Bridge must do! ;-)

  • What is equiv to Adobe Bridge Import in iPhoto

I have migrated all my photos (over 20,000) from PC to Mac and have taken the plunge. I used to use Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0 in Windows and used the Organizer to import my media cards. When I did that, it would layout the pictures in a directory called "2009 05 30" for the photos taken today, for example. I would then tag then in Adobe for later searches. I would also use Picasa for a simple method of access and organization.
In addition, I would make a DVD disk of all the images for a time period and store that offsite. That disk contains the originals of my photos - I would manually fill up the DVD and write the time range and photo number range on each one.
    So, now my questions.
    1. How can I import photos to a similar directory structure instead of into the central iPhoto library?
    2. If I cannot import like that, how can I easily burn a DVD of all images imported since a certain date, or image number.
    3. Or should I use the Canon EOS Utility to import the card to a directory structure, then import from disk in iPhoto.
I know the "best practice" in this forum is to let iPhoto manage the entire library, but then my library would be tens of gigabytes in size and would not be easy to backup to to a single medium. (Unless I back up to another hard drive and save that offsite).
Curious what others do. I am playing with Aperture, Lightroom and will also try Elements 6.0 for Mac and see what meets my needs.
    Thank you.
    Jeff

    1. How can I import photos to a similar directory structure instead of into the central iPhoto library?
Use Image Capture - or any other app you prefer - to move the files from your Camera card to your preferred Location. Then run a Referenced Library: Simply go to iPhoto Menu -> Preferences -> Advanced and uncheck 'Copy Files to the iPhoto Library on Import'.
Now iPhoto will not copy the files, but rather simply reference them on your HD. To do this it will create an alias in the Originals Folder that points to your file. It will still create a thumbnail and, if you modify the pics, a Modified version within the iPhoto Library Folder.
As you have read we strongly recommend against this method - especially for inexperienced users:
    1. Import and deleting pics are more complex procedures
    2. You cannot move or rename the files on your system or iPhoto will lose track of them on systems prior to 10.5 and iPhoto 08. Even with the later versions issues can still arise if you move the referenced files to new volumes or between volumes.
    3. Most importantly, migrating to a new disk or computer can be much more complex.
Always allowing for personal preference, I've yet to see a good reason to run iPhoto in referenced mode unless you're using two photo organisers.
    2. If I cannot import like that, how can I easily burn a DVD of all images imported since a certain date, or image number.
Easy: Select the Event/Album or files that you wish to back up: then File -> Export, Kind: Original. Export to a folder on the desktop and burn that.
Backing up to another HD is actually the best way to go. DVD's rot over time. HD's are inexpensive, dynamic and very easy to use.
    My back up strategy:
My Library lives on my iMac.
It’s Backed up to two external hard disks every day. These disks are permanently attached to the iMac. These back ups run automatically. One is done by Time Machine, one is a bootable back up done by SuperDuper
It’s also backed up to a portable hard disk when ever new photos are added. This hard disk lives in my car. For security, this disk is password protected. For this job I use DejaVu because it makes a simple back up that is clear and can be tested easily without doing an full restore.
I have a second off-site back up at a relative’s house across town. That’s updated every 3 or 4 months.
My Photos are backed up online. Personally I use SmugMug but there are many options including flickr. However, check the terms of your account carefully. While most sites have free uploading, you will often find that these uploads are limited in terms of the file size, or the bandwidth you can use per month. For access that allows you to upload full size pics with no restrictions you will need to pay.
Every couple of months I test the back ups to make sure they are working correctly. It’s very easy to mis-configure a back up application, and the only way to protect against that is to do a restore.
Aperture and Lightroom are much more powerful apps that iPhoto - and a touch more expensive too . Elements has no organising capability on the Mac. For that it comes with Bridge. Some people like Bridge. Never met one, but some do.
