Smartforms generating in same spool.

Hi ,
I'm generating the smarforms from my driver program with a loop. i.e. calling the function module more than one times. Right now this is my requirement. Now my question is whenever the output is coming it's coming in same spool. If i delete the spool then it's ok.
In the driver program how can i solve the problem. I need to generate different spool whenever i will run the smartforms.\

To Create New Spool Requests for Smartform in the same Program , Use OUTPUT_OPTIONS in Smartform FM Export Parameter.
Set the Value of TDNEWID as 'X' and Pass this Parameter into FM.
Like the Below Code.
data: w_options type SSFCOMPOP.
w_options-TDNEWID = 'X'.     " To create New Spool Request
call function fm_name
    exporting
     OUTPUT_OPTIONS   = w_options.

My Smartform should print multiple customer's data and should generate a single spool,wherein the multiple customers have different languages.When I run the loop with the FM calling the language in a control parameter,I can understand that it can hold only one value i.e. one language.Please help me find any other way to solve this?

Hi,
You can still call the smartform once per customer (and keep the different language) and assign them to one spool.
The first smartform you call set the print parameters (structure OUTPUT_OPTIONS).
When you call the second smartfrom clear that OUTPUT_OPTIONS field TDNEWID, so the smartform is added to the same spool request.

Print multiple copies of a smartforms in a one spool request

Dear all,
I've a network printer "HP Laserjet 4250" configured with an output accessory "Sheet Stapler/Stacker".
With these accessory all pages of the same spool are stapled together.
For transaction VL02N we would print n copies of the same delivery using smartforms in this printer, so all copies will be stapled.
The problem is that in SPAD Copy Counter options if we set the choice "Pass copy counter to the host spool system" only one copy is printed;
it seems that copy counter parameters has no effects.
If we set the choice "Pass copies as separate Output Requests", the spool system will send a separate print request for each copy of a document to be printed; but with this option multiple copies are not stapled since they belong to different spool.
SAP System is ERP 6.0 EHP5 based on windows /SQL 2008 and the last kernel patch.
Any idea to solve the problem ?

Hello,
By default the number of copies is transferred to the OS host spooler
and handled by it.
The flag to pass copies is set in the Output Device definition via
transaction SPAD as follows:
SPAD -> Output Device -> <Output Device name> -> Output Attributes ->
'Pass Copy Counter to Host Spool System'
Can you please change this flag to:
'Pass Copies as Separate Output Request(in SAP System)'

RD00 combining outputs to the same spool

Hi All,
Can anyone explain why Invoice outputs using standard RD00 and the associated SMARTFORM are being sent to the same spool record?
So trigger an output for one invoice but do not print immediately. Spool record created for one page with status of not printed
Trigger another output for a different invoice and do not print immediately. This record is added to the first spool record as page 2 of 2
Why is this?
How can I switch it off so that a unique spool record is created per output?

Reprinting using same spool request

Hello Friends,
We have a business requirement to reprint of the SAP documemt (delivery, packing list etc). We have a output procedure attached to each SAP document, during the document process, system triggers the output and issues a output for the physical printer assigned to device.
Now we have a requirement to re use the output to print on other physical printers, it mean when a spool is generated from the first time , then by using the same spool request Number instead regenerating the new spool, we need to generate output from different physical printers.
Please suggest how this can be possible -
1. How we can reuse the same spool for reprinting
2. How to communicate system to print in different physical printers using existing spool

You can, but, provide you have Value for authorization (TSP01SYS-RQAUTH) to do so.
In general, reprinting of spools is avoided.
Instead you can add again the output type manually and execute.
2. How to communicate system to print in different physical printers using existing spool
But, you can't do this.
Again same suggestion, instead you can manually add the output type & provide the printer details in the transaction doc and execute.

What do you mean by dynamically? When yo set up a 2D bar code field you specify which field name/value pairs you want to include, along with other parameters. But be aware that they won't work with Reader unless you Reader-enable the document with LiveCycle Reader Extensions and include the bar code usage right. It will work with Acrobat Standard/Pro.

Error in opening smartform generated PDF attachments

Hi every one,
    my smartforms generate multiple emails based on the widely used code as shown below.
The emails are successfully being sent to different locations, but the problem is the first PDF file is opening, but the others followed by it are not opening. It's giving an error ' File damaged and cannot be opened!'

Display all sales order's smartform output in one spool request

Hi,
If suppose user has given sales order number from 01 to 14 then the output of all sales order should come in one print priview of spool request. How to do it?

Hi Madhuri,
Call open form write form and close form in loop so that till sales order remains in the loop the form will continue to print. In this way all sales order in internal table will print in the same spool.

Reduce smartform generated PDF size

Hi,
How to reduce the smartform generated PDF size. I have tried removing few tables,windows, logo(size 10KB) etc.. but the size didnt vary much. I am using new Font 'CorpoS' in my smartstyle and using PT language (has special characters).
Current size of my PDF is 286KB and i want it to be 20-50KB.
Please give me valuable suggestions on how to reduce the size.

You have to read the documentation for the java.util.Random class.

Same spool number for same job on mutilple days

Hi all,
We have daily Batch job which runs at 9:00 PM for a 1 variant and with 2 variant after first job is done.
On 11/05 we have got one spool number 845411 for the spool and on the 11/09 for the same job we got the same spool number for 2 jobs , and the data is also showing as 11/05 only and the spool creation date is showing as 11/05 and modified on 11/10...
This is happening for only 1 batch job, we have checked the other jobs all are fine with different spool #, we have checked spool number range and every thing is fine.
Please suggest what can be the reason for this scenario...

Hi Subhash,
Check the print parametes of the job, can be seen under steps --> double click on program --> print properties. There we have option to select new spool number.
So every time the job runs it will have a new spool number. Hope this helps.

Stamp tool not generating the same colour as the sample area I select.

Heya, I am having an issue with the stamp tool not generating the same colour as the sample area I select. I have tried reducing the flow rate but my understanding was it should be an exact copy of the ample area. I have only had this issue for the last two versions of photoshop.

Can we generate the same key with the same password???

Is it at all possible to generate the same key? I have a program that takes a user password, creates a key. And this is done in a loop for 5 times. I just wanted to see if the keys that are generated will be the same for the same password. But the keys that are generated are different.
Does anyone have any idea why this would happen?

Hi,
I was wondering if you have found a solution to your question.. I justed started working with JCE and have to implement the same functionality. basically I am trying to Encrypt passwords stored in the DB and then when a user logs in, I encrypt his password and compare with the stored password in the DB. For me to do this I have to be sure I can get the same key generated for each encryption.
Also, do you have any examples I can look at or any recommendation on books that explain this subject (JCE) well.

When I try to reprint, it is appending to the same spool.

WHEN I AM TRYING TO REPRINT IT IS APPENDING TO THE SAME SPOOL.
I HAVE DONE THIS THINGS.
1)     ME31L - Created output type PRT for PO
2)     ME9L u2013 Selected the spool and clicked output message button. This created Spool with two pages
3)     ME9L u2013 Displayed the output and printed again. The new output should have created a new spool but it appended to the existing spool.

Check your print properties.
When you click on print, go to the print properties: does it say 'Yes' under New Spool Request? If not, this might be your problem, for instance.
