SMQ2 - Status: RUNNING forever?

Team,
We are presently processing a lot of messages all asyn.
In SMQ2, we can see all (XBTI) inbound queue messages and (XBTO) outbound queues messages.
At some point we get CCMS errors on queues saying that the queue are blocked with the status RUNNING. According to the documentation, a RUNNING status mean that The first LUW of this queue is currently being processed. but the queue can stay with this status for ever .. unless we save the LUW (to SMQ3), and/or - unregistrer/registrer queue - then the queue unblock it self and at the end of the run, we restore the LUW back and it pass
Is there anyone who can explain the behavior ?
Something we get the status READY, again according to the documentation, this status (is temporary) mean that there is a lock happening behind the scene. We can unlock the queue and again, the queue get process.
What is the difference between un registering /registering queues and unlock/locking them ?

I had faced this problem badly and researched what all I could.
The Q status is Executing for ever, then there could be a dead lock inside IE, in processing the message and the system went into infinite loop. There is no otherway other than stopping(Lock immediately) the Q, and then unlocking it.
If any Q is under sysfail condition, there must be something wrong with the message and please check ST22 for any short dumps to analysis.
When you just delete a single LUW, you need not have to register the Q. But when you delete a Q itself, it is required to re-registered in SMQR. Unless, those Qs will not be created at run time by the system.
Be carreful that, you should not delete the Q unless u do not want the other waiting messages in side the Q should not be processed.

It seems that my datawarehouse jobs was running forever without any report producing. I check the jobs enabled and it tell "no" every job except MPSyncJob. Every job status is running as "running" or "not started". I tried to enable the datawarehouse jobs

Any suggestion? I stuck at here for one week now.

I have the same problem with the parser error before eof and unable to retrieve job list but when i try:
get-scdwjob -jobname dwmaintenance -computername MySmServer -dwserver MyDwServer
I get:
A parameter cannot be found that matches parameter name 'dwserver'
I have a feeling that something needs an update and/or is mismatched but I don't know what or where to start.

Also try deleting the redundant Enqueue process on Abap stack (rz10), and defining two enqueue processes enserver.exe on java stack one for ASCS, and one for SCS. You can find more information in installation guide for your XI type.

Itunes fails to recognize my phone and wants me to load as 'new phone' each time I hook up. I have disabled firewalls and it will recognize one out of five times. It also attempts to sync but just runs forever, then gives error message 0xE8004006

Itunes does not recognize Iphone. It asks me to restore or add as new phone each time I sign on. It then attempts to sync, just runs forever. After five tries, it allowed me to upgrade OS, but still refused to complete a sync. I have disabled firewalls. Error message 0xE8004006

Query runs forever when using selection on line item dim

we have a cube zcube which has po number as a line item dimension .
everymonth users run queries this cube using po number as selection
criterai and using a wild card search on this field . every time
queries have run fine . however , this month when we try to do so
the query runs forever and no results are returned . i also tried
listcubing with similar selection but it also did not return any results .
our production system has lot of data . i tried in test system it worked fine
i checked the cube for compression and indices in production , they look fine
can anyone think of anything that could have gone wrong ? also did rsrv tests ..
but all come green
we have not done any developments on this cube , however we have shifted to
a new hardware in the past month . can anyone think of any reasons ?
anything that can help me catch the issue ? all suggestions welcome

how are you joining alpha and beta tables? what is the join condition?

Hi,
If the queues are hanging due to peak load at sometimes
you can schedule following reports to restart them automatically
(dont have to lock and unlock manually)
RSQIWKEX - Inbound Queues
RSQOWKEX- Outbound Queues
Also you can save the first entry of the queue if its causing problems to process later- smq3

HELP: Oracle VM Manager 3.1.1 VM Server Status Running (Error)

Hi All,
I have updated the latest patch of VM Manager 3.1.1. In my server pool, I have 3 VM servers.
All VM Server shows Status Running (Error). I don't care about the small red x icons displayed on the VM Manager but it stops all my operations:
1. Not able to Edit the virtual machine from one server.
OVMAPI_9013E Cannot perform operation on Virtual Machine: racnode1, no server available.

I used to see this message in my Oracle VM.
Your all questions are the same root cause is cause from your VM Servers are not available. If you want edit or remove virtual machine is need your VM Servers are available. If you want to remove Server Pool is need all VM Server are removed from it first and also cannot deleted VM Servers too.
What you have to do first is make all VM Servers up and available.
Option1. You can try to restart VM Serer agent (ovs-agent) and Oracle VM Manager service (ovmm) and try to log out and log in.
Option2. Restore Oracle VM from backup with option --UUID of previous VM Manager.

Add Manage auditing and security log Properties
Administative Tools > Local Security Policy > Local Policies > User Rights
Assignment > Manage auditing and security
Add
Exchance Servers.
2. Check Exchange Trusted Subsystem
1)Open Active Directory Users and Computers
2)Under domain name (For example contoso.com),navigate to the Builtin Container,on
the right hand side select the Administrator group,goto the properties
3)Click members tab and add Exchange Trusted Subsystem
4)Click ok twice
5)Reboot the Exchange server
6)Rerun the Exchange setup

iTunes sync with Outlook 2013 preparing to sync runs forever, what is the problem?

I have updated addresses and names in the iPhone. When I sync with Outlook it takes the updated name portion, but does not pick up the address from the iPhone. The Whitepages app (pretty handy app) will update my iPhone contact list, but I cannot then transfer that information over to my Outlook contact list. This all needs to work together. Solutions?

RSA3 - Extractor seems to run forever for a particluar datasource

Hi All,
I am trying to check a infocube export datasource - 8ZBVOLVOL1 in RSA3 and it seems to run forever and never returns any values. I am using the default values in the settings :
Request Id - TEST
Data records/calls - 100
Display Extr Calls - 10
Update Mode - F
Target Sys - "Empty"
In the selections I am not making any selections just running them as default, but I also tried inputting the selections and even then it seems to run forever.
I checked the datasource in RSA6 and it seems to be fine.
I am hoping someone can help me out here.

Hello,
1.First try to execute the InfoPackage and check whether data is loaded to the other InfoCube.
2. If you have anyother generated datasource try the same in RSA3.
3. Check the MySelfSourceSystem (BW System) in Source System -> Check and make sure there is no issues.
If not,try these options
1. Try to recreate the fact table views using the ABAP Report(SE38) SAP_FACTVIEWS_RECREATE
2. Regenerate the datasource again (Export datasource)
3. Goto RSA3 and check it again

Waiting for the service MSExchangeMailboxAssistants to reach status Running

I have to say that the installation of Exchange Server 2013 SP1 has been an emotional experience so far. I have encountered and fixed approximately 20 errors so far and can still not complete the installation. Errors have ranged from adding a registry
key for "Pickup" to toggling IPv6 settings etc. The errors haven't been too bad up to now as they're clearly stated in both the setup log and event viewer. A quick Google search usually gives a few solutions to try and eventually fix
the problem.
My recent error has been difficult to find a solution to as the setup log simply says it cannot start the "MSExchangeMailboxAssistants" service. I have tried to start the service manually but the event log doesn't show any messages relating
to the stopping of the service.
Error:
Service 'MSExchangeMailboxAssistants' failed to reach status 'Running' on this server.
Platform:
Windows Server 2012 R2
Exchange Server 2013 SP1
Things I've tried:
Starting all Exchange services. All are working fine.
Started MSExchangeMailboxAssistants. Stopped immediately without an errors in event log.
Started MSExchangeMailboxAssistants.exe from command prompt. Wouldn't start as it's a service.
Used cmdlet to increase logging level to "high" and "expert" for all 'MSExchangeMailboxAssistants' services. Started service again and nothing logged.
Installed Operations Manager. Nothing logged.
Manually removed Exchange from server several times and reinstalled. Cleaned out AD, registry, files, IIS etc. No change, same error.
Try installing with and without Malware Protection.
Checked IPv6 is enabled on all NICs.
Checked registry settings for quotes around file name. It does contain the quotes so nothing to fix.
Checked Exchange 2013 SP1 is compatible with Windows Server 2012 R2. The original version wasn't but SP1 is.
I'm all out of ideas now and no error message in the logs to google.
Any help would be appreciated.

Unfortunately, "MSExchangeTransport" failing to start was one of the many issues that I encountered during the installation of Exchange 2013 SP1 on Windows 2012 R2. I had already visited the website mentioned above (which was very helpful) and
the registry key is already in place.
I did double check the registry after reading your reply just in case and can confirm it's definitely there.
If I could get an error message when the MSExchangeMailboxAssistants service fails to start, I would have a fighting chance. I've tried increasing the logging level using the cmdlet and the registry but still not seeing anything in the Event Log.

Job Schedular status running after killing process flow from OWF monitor

Hi,
PROBLEM SCENARIO:
Scheuled job called 'TEST' kicks off process flow called 'Child_load' under 'Parent_load_all' and gets stuck. I go into OWF (ORACLE WORK FLOW MONIOTOR) and kill both the process flows and then complete the Process flow run manually from OWB. Now, next day the scheduled job 'TEST' should execute 'Parent load all', but it doesn't do that instead it shows 'TEST' in 'Running' STATUS from yesterday when I see it in toad under Sched.Jobs. I have to drop the scheduled job and redeploy it from OWB in order for it to work.
Any idea why its doing that?

the status of the scheduled job should be 'running'
here is what i received from oracle support on that matter:
A scheduled job is always in BUSY status, till the moment it is stopped in the Control Center Manager.
If you open the Control Center Manager, goto the Location and expand the plus "+" in front of Scheduled Jobs. There should be your job DLOAD_JOB.
On the right bottom appears the dialog Control Center Jobs. And there is a tab "Scheduled". Click on that tab and you should see a green arrow in front of the job DLOAD_JOB. This means the job is running. (In fact it is not running but waiting to be executed again according scheduled time)
To stop the job to run according schedule, you can right-click on the job and choose "Stop". The green arrow will disappear and the status in the Repository Browser will be "Completed"
To start the job again, you can right-click on the job and choose "Start". The green arrow will appear again and the status in the Repository Browser will be "Busy"
so according to this the scheduler job should be in status running;
why it does not trigger your processes however is another thing;

But it doesn't show me anything in upload and OMS version..

and target.xml looks fine it contains all entry for databases.
I don't know why it's not making communication with OMS.
any help will be appreciated.

What happens, when you issue 'emctl upload' explicitly?
You defined a secure connection (because of HTTPS in the URL) to the OMS host,did you secure the agent? (emctl secure agent). There's another posting about upload problems:
