SMTP error when I add a new user

An object with the SMTP proxy address ([email protected]) already exists
I can't add this users alias in the SMTP address space in unity when I do I get the above. I can't find a similar entry anywhere. Has anyone run accross this?

I'm familiar with this issue.
Can you confirm exactly what the SMTP domain is? System Settings > SMTP Configuration > Server > SMTP Domain. Does this domain match the SMTP address field for the user? Does this domain also match the corporate email SMTP domain?
You either have a benign issue where due to the SMTP domains matching the system says, I can't add this because I already have it or you may have a dup entry in the database. You should be able to run the following command to see if anything shows up.
run cuc dbquery unitydirdb select * from tbl_SmtpProxyAddress where smtpaddress = '[email protected]'
The SMTP proxy may not be needed in your configuration based on what SMTP domain that is selected. We have opened a documentation defect that states this because some of our customer who do match the SMTP domains (for UC as well as Exchange) tend to end up with errors but only because those fields are not necessary with that configuration. The SMTP proxy is a required field for users who use VMO when trying to reply/forward a voicemail message. If you don't have VMO installed and have matched the SMTP domain of UC to that of the corporate email then this field isn't use and should be ignored. If the SMTP domains match, exchange handles all of the message routing and that messages loses some voicemail features (no MWI on the forwarded/replied message).

Exchange 2013: when I create a new user in 2012 AD no mailbox is created.

Hi,
I have two VMs both running Windows server 2012 R2.
S1-DC.domain.local (GC)
S2-EMS.domain.local (Exchange 2013 CU2)
When I add a new user account from the Admin Center on S1-DC.domail.local, no Exchange 2013 mailbox is being created.
I can add the AD user to Exchange 2013 manually, but I assumed a mailbox would be created automatically when an account is created.
What would be the cause of this?

There is no automatic provisioning of mailboxes when you create an AD user.
To have that automatically done, you can develop a Powershell script that will run periodically (Example: Every hour), will identify the newly created AD accounts and will provision a mailbox for them.

I Can Add a new user, But the new user cannot logg in how can I solve this?

Hi there. When I add a new user every thing works great except when I try to logg this new user. The computer freezers at the logging window with the processing bar working indefinetly. To fix it I have to AppleCtrlpower swich to get out and restrat the computer. I can only logg in as the administrator... Can any one help me and point me to a right solution. Thank you!

It is difficult to tell why your new user account is not working, but one has to start some place.
First try Starting up in Safe Mode. Log in with the original user account, the restart the computer normally and log into the original user account. Go to Applications > Utilities > Disk Utility. Launch Disk Utility. Select your HDD (manufacturer ID) in the left panel and First Aid in the main panel. Click Repair Disk Permissions. Quit DU.
Go to System Prefs > Accounts and recheck the new account, especially the login options. If everything seems OK quit System Preferences and restart. Try logging into the new accounts. If you have problems force shut down and Start up in Safe Mode again.
It may be easiest to just delete the new account and start over, as you do not yet have any data in it. However, if you want to continue to trouble shoot we can try it for a while.
Please post back with a report of your experience and any questions or comments you may have.

How come Leopard let me use the WGM in standard mode?
While SA complains that it won't work in Standard Configuration, WGM does not. There is some fault in the logic of this for which I don't have an explanation.

If you wish to have complete control of all client settings, yes. There really is no disadvantage of using an Advanced configuration other than the learning curve.
So if I switch to advanced mode, there is good chance I won't get this error message anymore, right?

CRM 2015 + IFD Error when i add new User

I have a CRM 2015 Server on-premise after installing and configuring IFD + ADFS, when i want to add a new user i have this error :
InnerException: System.DirectoryServices.DirectoryServicesCOMException (0x80072032): An invalid DN syntax was specified.
When i check my Server CRM an Server ADFS i found that each server has a LogonServer :
CRM SERVER ===== LOGONSERVER=\\MMV2K5-LDC
ADFS SERVER ===== LOGONSERVER=\\C55V2K5-LDC
how to enable the CRM to point directly to my AD when i want to add a single user.

Trying to add a new user, but gives unknown error

When I go to site actions >> site setting >> site permissions >> and try to add a new user, it gives me "unknown error". Any ideas why this is happening? This is happening only on some of the sites. Thank you.

Windows SBS 2011 - I can't add a new user through the SBS Console

I have recently installed SBS 2011 and this is my first install of SBS since 2003.
After the installation I went to the SBS Console to add a new user and when I select 'Add a new user account' and base it on the Standard User account i get a message saying 'Add a New User Account failed', when i view the details for this it says "The User
Account cannot be added. Ensure that the Active Directory Domain Services service is running....
I searched the web for this and found the following which was not applicable http://support.microsoft.com/kb/958890
I then resorted to adding the users via AD Users and Computers and the modifying the value in the ADSI for msSBSCreationState to 'Created' and then it appeared in the console, i then used the console to change the user role for this account to Standard User.
But when i now click on the "Edit User Account Properties" action i get a pop up message from SBS Server saying "There is no such object on the server".
Any ideas on ow to fix this broken console would be appreciated.

Firefox Sync does not update automatically when I add a new bookmark.

I use one desktop and one notebook at the same time. Firefox Sync does not update bookmarks between my desktop and notebook when I add a new bookmark from one device or the other. Firefox Sync only updates when I manually sync my data from each device. When I used Google Chrome, the Sync feature updated my bookmarks almost instantly. Is there any way I can make Firefox automatically sync whenever I update my bookmark?

Your imported bookmarks from IE should all be in one folder named "From Internet Explorer". The imported Bookmarks are kept separate for easier identification by the user. You can move them to other folders outside of that folder if you wish; you can also delete any duplicates that you may have placed into Firefox Bookmarks/folders before the import.

Why I can't add a new user in my DPS Account Administration panel.

I get this message: The email address you entered could not be added as a Digital Publishing user to this account. Please choose a different Adobe ID or create a new Adobe ID for the user.

Could be many things, we should start with this...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at the top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
5. Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
Report any errors it found for Disk Repair, don't need the ones for Permissions Repair.
Try it again & see if anything changed, but have Activity Monitor open & Show All Processes & sorted on CPU%, also have Console open if we can... maybe not when switching, but we'll see.

Just for those who are interested, this is what cleared the "bookmark menu" trbl I had.
Open System Preferences > iCloud
Deselect the box next to Bookmarks, then reselect it.
Quit and relaunch Safari. Try a bookmark again.
