SNOTE - Note Assistant 2.0

We are currently running on 4.7 with WAS 620 SP SAPKB62045. Could we upgrade SNOTE from 1.2 to 2.0 without upgrading to SP SAPKB62055. Do we have to be on SP 51-55 in order to get SNOTE upgraded to 2.0?
Is there a possibility to get SNOTE 2.0 by applying set of transports and not the enitre SPs?

Step: 1
The "SNOTE" transaction has its limitations, such as it cannot implement all notes. This means that in some cases, notes will require manual implementation provided as text in the note instructions.

During an upgrade process SAP assists its customers with all notes that they've implanted through transaction "SNOTE". Notes that were implemented prior to the release of SNOTE will not be adjusted automatically, and the customer will be asked by SPAU and SPDD to adjust notes as if they were regular customer modifications.
The above applies also for the manually implemented section of notes which were implemented using "SNOTE". Whenever manually adjusting a note (or a regular modification) the customer is faced with a decision: either re-implement the modification or rest back to the standard code.
Since notes are similar to modifications in the sense that they are changes in the SAP namespace. They are part of the first steps of the SPAU & SPDD.

SNOTE (Note Assistant) list expected "source code corrections" of a note?

Is it possible, in current versions of SNOTE, to print the "source code corrections" that the note is supposed to contain?
This was possible in "good old OSS" and also, I think, in early versions of SNOTE.
Why do I ask?
Sometimes you have a note that SNOTE cannot handle by itself. You must then open the "splitscreen editor" and guide SNOTE through the process.
In such cases I like to have a listing, on paper, of the expected changes, so that I keep some overview and that I can check the corrections as I go through them.

I have found a second possibility - the following little program based on some code found in the 4.6C implementation of SNOTE.

SAP Note assistant

Hi Folks,
I am unable to proceed with the implementation of OSS note thru snote, I mean the automatic code corrections.
My NW release is 740 SP05.
I am able to download the note but then implementation of note just keeps running.
Download done, select note and Implement- check side effects done - then there it just hangs.
I have checked the RFC's SAPOSS/SAPSNOTE the connection and auth test are working fine.
I tried to apply the OSS Note too 1668882 - Note Assistant: Important notes for SAP_BASIS 730,731,740, even that is hanging now.
So I exited the transaction, changes the processing status of notes from In processing to New to begin again.
Again when I select and Implement it just hangs, please help me..
This is happening in Dev system alone, in QA I am able to download and start the implementation of same OSS note.
Any thots here?

NW Version is 7.4 SP 05.
Yes restart would help but I m just curious to know what the underlying root cause is.
This is happening only in one system, in other system there seems to be no issues.
Ning Tong No there are no lock entries currently, when I trigger the implementation I see lock entries once I exit they are wiped out.

Hello,
You can indeed change the code in it.
You should scroll through the code and see where the Note Assistant was not able to automatically modify the source code.
Often this happens when the Note Assistant can not find the context blocks, this means you have to modify the code yourself and to identify the context block yourself.
After the modifications have been done manually, just continue and confirm.
Afterwards Note Assistant will check for syntax errors.
In case of errors you can still undo the changes and start all over again.
Extra tip :
WHen you apply manual changes also open the SAP Note on the SAP Market place and check the source code corrections.
ALso open a second screen in SAP with the object (in display mode) that you are modifying, this is easy to compare things.

As far as I know, no object key is required to implement OSS Note, using NOTE Assistant.

Migration Assistant is not assisting

Hi gang.
Ran mingration assistant to brin in old data into my new 24"...
When I did, MA asked me to rename my old computer, which I did "kids".
So now.. on my 24".. if I use "kids" login.. everything is there. If I log in as me, I have nothing but clean slate.
I only want one use account on the 24".. but have my old data.
Secondly.. iweb doesn't seem to load in either account.

I solved the problem myself. the fact that the techs at Apple could not figure this out, and I could, is a testament to their lack of training in my opinion.
After I got my iMac back from the Apple store, I had to erase it and re-install all the software since it was such a mess from the botched transfer they did. What ended up working was to NOT check the box for "files & folders" in the migration dialog box. There are four choices for migration including the administrator/user settings, the network setting, the applications and files/folders. When I did not try to transfer the files and folders, everything worked fine and all of my files and settings were right. Apparently the "files and folders" are something other than regular files and folders since all of my documents and folders transferred. I hope that no one else has to go through this!

DV6000 has no sound, HP will not assist.

My laptop lost its sound, tried all drivers available, and it seems impossible to bring it back. No assistance from HP, I like the machine but with no sound it's a waste.

I am having a very similar problem they replaced my motherboard a little over 3 months ago just before the computer went out of warranty. I recived a 90 day extended warranty with no date on it saying when it would expire. I noticed within weeks that there were still problems as my programs were not performing as well as they used to and tried contacting hp again and they said it was a non issue. Now my computer will not stay on for more than 5 minutes. I called HP to have them fix the problem and they told me I should have called 2 weeks ago. Now they want me to pay for on the phone text support and all repairs. I will never buy an HP again.

I have two accounts and need to merge into one account. How? Where to even ask this question? Chat will not assist in this.

Over the years I accidentally opened a second Adobe account, both with product registrations. I need to merge these accounts into one and see no way to do that. Updates to software will not install because serial for previous version not found on upgrade versions now installed. Could the 2 different accounts be a cause for this? I got no help at all from chat.

Download Assistant Not Assisting

Hi, I am trying to Dowload Adobe Flash CS5.5 and as normal i need to Download the Assistant first, however when i am on the download screen it says below the progress bar, Sign in with your Adobe ID to continue. Even when i have already signed in. I am using windows, with Firefox but can't seem to get around it. I have tried many times to download the same program and with the same result each time. Any suggestions appreciated.

You might want to consider manually transferring the files because some users have reported using Migration Assistant creates a new user account so the files aren't accessible by your current Mac user account. The link discusses how to do a manual transfer.

Camera Raw will not assist in sharpening

Camera raw used to have a feature in the sharpening menu where pressing the 'alt/option' key while sliding the sharpening 'amount' would grayscale the image and make it much easier to view what was being sharpened. Has this feature been removed or have the shortcut keys changed? Thanks!

SM59 Setting?

Dear Experts,
I was trying to download SAP notes thru tcode : SNOTE (Note Assistant) but failed due to the error in remote connection to destination SAPOSS. The error message stated the error when opening an RFC connection, which therefore, I came into this SM59 to do the setting.
I did the connection testing but still failed. I just wonder what is the right setting at the "technical setting" tab.
The current default setting is as follows :-
target system : OSS
msg. server : /H/147.204.2.5/S/sapdp99/H/oss001
group : EWA
Does anyone what went wrong?

Does anyone have a list of transactions that would be considered adequate for a basis administrator on a production system, which would allow them to do all the work they may need to without logging in with a sap_all id?

Hi all not sure where original request went but as a new apple user I have external hard drives that are now "read only" and I can't change or save documents. Went to Get Info and this did not help. Can anyone assist with solution, thanks.

I am a new user to apple and have external hard drives from previous computers. I have many documents I can no longer access and change as they say the drives are read only. How do I change the read only to read and write etc for these external drives. I tried Get Info but this did not assist. Thanks.

NFe 3.10 - nota 1914193 não liberada

Boa tarde pessoal.
Estamos trabalhando na aplicação das notas para ativação do novo layout da NFe 3.10.
Temos a seguinte configuração em nosso sistema:

A situação é a seguinte. Ao tentar aplicar as correções automática(SNOTE) para a nota 1933985 - NF-e new layout 3.10 o Note Assistant disponibiliza para que se faça o download da nota 1914193 pois necessita da mesma como pre-requisito para aplicação das correções.
Ao confirmar o download da mesma recebemos a mensagem que a nota não está libera e assim não é possível fazer o download.
Desta forma não conseguimos prosseguir com a aplicação da correção.
A mensagem informa que se após alguns dias a nota ainda não esteja liberada para entrar em contato com o suporte da SAP. Gostaria de saber, alguém passou por esse problema e chegou a entrar em contato com o suporte SAP?

Acredito que você obteve sucesso nessa operação, preciso saber se mesmo sem que precise de todas as configurações da sap note 1933985 é necessário aplicá-la por inteiro via .SAR?
Sou consultor SAP SD e estou fazendo essa migração.
