SOA: HL7 Adapter:-

Hi I am working on HL7 Adapter in Oracle SOA Suite. While working on HL7 Adapter with Spring Context , the error message I am able to see while compiling the project is "wsdl to java cast exception. Can any one please let me know the support that HL7 has towards Spring Context .
Thanks

Anuj,
I have two applications which provides web services to consumer applications, which provides certain data to for consumers. But prior to providing data, it applies some rules. In current scenario it is point-to-point integration. Now, I want to place these services on middleware to communicate with all applications. I am using weblogic as middleware server with SOA Suite. I need to configure/develop some adapter to connect it with weblogic, but I am not getting any help how to do so.
I might have clear your question.
Thanks.

  • SOA FTP Adapter stops working abruptly

    Hi All,
I have a ftp service which provides XML file streams real-time on a remote machine. I connect to this FTP server using the SOA FTP adapter and process files by polling based on timestamp every 3 seconds.
    The issues I face are
    1) The ftp adapter stop working abruptly. Has anybody faced this issue, if yes how can this be resolved?
    2) The XML files comes to FTP location at the rate 2 files per second. Ideally I want to procss this files real-time using FTP adapter. But the backlog build is causing issues. How do I fix it?
    3) If there is any downtime in production how should the SOA FTP application be activated after restart.
Also, what are the other FTP adapter configuration required to optimize the SOA FTP application to meet my business purpose.

I am using SOA 11g Fusion Middleware. The error I am getting in the logs are as follows:

  • SOA FTP Adapter Performance Optimization

The application scenario is as below
There is a remote FTP service which receives real-time XML files (may be 2 files per second). In my SOA 11g application, I am using FTP adapter to connect to the remote FTP server. The FTP adapter polls for new files based on the file creation timestamp and after processing, deletes the files. All good so far, no issues at all.
However, there is a huge backlog in the files. How can improve or speed up the FTP adapter process to match or better the remote FTP file creation rate? Please note I am not doing much processing here, just perist the files to a database. The consuming application expects real-time file feed.
There should be some configuration in SOA FTP adapter to optimize the performance and beat the file spitting FTP monster.
    Thanks

However, the inbound FTP location receives around 30 files in a second max. How do I configure the FTP adapter to beat this rate. I looked through the document link and tried few trials
    MaxRaiseSize: 20
    SingleThreadModel: both true and false
    ThreadCount:20
However, I still cannot beat the rate at which the files are put to this location. Please what configuration changes shhould I consider.
    Thanks

  • How to add sysdate in parameter in soa db adapter?

Sysdate can not be adding in condition of sql query  in soa db adapter can any body help me ?  I am using 11.1.1.6 jdeveloper version snapshot is attached .

You can try creating your DB Adapter without the sysdate check, as an execute pure SQL.
Then amend the 'ReversalTransactionSchedulerService_db.jca file to add in the Sysdate check as a SQL String.
    i.e.
    interaction-spec className="oracle.tip.adapter.db.DBPureSQLInteractionSpec">
          <property name="SqlString" value="SELECT column1, column2 FROM yourTable WHERE created_date > SYSDATE- 1"/>
          <property name="GetActiveUnitOfWork" value="false"/>
        </interaction-spec>

  • Unable to import table using SOA database adapter in Jdev

    hi all,
I am learning soa 11g development by myself which is quite exciting stuff.
I am trying to build a simple flow to access database so I have dropped a database adapter in composite.xml and trying to configure the adapter.
I have successfully tested the database connection within the adapter configuration wizard and can list the tables as well. But when I am selecting a table to import then I don't see any table imported in Step-5.
It doesn't show me any error. I have tried with other tables and also with other databases but can't import the tables.
    Any advice will be appreciated.
    Oracle SOA Version11.1.1.4.0
    JDeveloper Version 11.1.1.6.0
    Thanks,
    Raj

    Hi Raj,
You have to select the required tables and move it to the blank area on right side of your selection window by clicking the arrow button.
    cheers

i have selected the table using the right arrow to right side and then clicked "OK". But the table hasn't come-up and it still says "No tables imported" in Step 5. I am trying to import from oracle database using oracle jdbc.

  • SOA - Database Adapter push data to BAM

I would like to create an SOA application to pull data from an Oracle Database and push it Oracle BAM.
In the past I've done this by using the "Polling for new or changed records in a table" from the Database Adapter to pull new data from the database. However, I wish to know if it is possible for me to somehow configure the adapter to execute a query on the database, grab the results and push them through the Mediator and onto the BAM adapter.
The main point here is that there is no Table or View on the database to supply the data. The data is created dynamically as a query result when / if the database adapter runs the query on the database.
This needs to happen periodically (as with the polling for changes method).
    Is this possible?

    Hi
I believe the below option will help you.
1.Create a BPEL process and inside that use the DB adapter to execute the query and fetch the data and push the same to BAM through the BAM Adapter.
2.Schedule the BPEL process with Quartz Scheduler(default option provided by Oracle BPEL) to run periodically as per your requirement.

  • SOA JMS Adapter JCA Properites Issues

    Hi,
we are using JMS adapter in a BPEL process for polling on a JMS queue which has Destinationname= "Queue1".
After deploying the composite we are changing JCA property Destinationname="Queue2" through SOA EM console.
It is working fine as expected, but when we restart the SOA server, then agian the Destinationname is pointing to "Queue1".
This is not expected functionality. Seems like a bug. . We have to change the settings every time the server is bounced.
Any Suggestions on this would be appreciated.

    Hi Arun,
We have implemented minimumDelayBetweenMessages property in SOA Dev standalone environment.it is working AS excepted.
But when test this in Cluster environment it is not working as expected. then using oracle JCA documents we i found some other properties need to set
    <property name="adapter.jms.receive.threads">1</property>
    <property name="clusterGroupId">myBpelCluster</property>
    <property name="clusterAcrossSubnet">false</property>
can you explain what is each property do,
what is the clusterGroupId value ? can we put any value or name of the SOA cluster.
what is the value we need to set for clusterAcrossSubnet?? how to decide .

  • SOA B2B adapter(send) - B2B console not identifying partners correctly

    Hi there,
    My case is like this.
Trading partner is sending a doc through custom http server which B2B cant reach.
So I wrote a SOA Composite to fetch this xml from remote & then send the document to B2B.(as if partner is sending to host)
I used B2B adapter & send operation for this.
The issue is, B2B is not correctly recognizing the sender trading partner.
B2B engine is assigning the same TP for both sender and receiver.
I am setting Generic Identifier to set the sender/receiver value.
(for example... am using Google as Host & Amazon as Partner.. )
    Properties Set in B2B Adapter:
28-Apr-2011 10:43:20 Sending property "b2b.toTradingPartnerId", value is "Google".Sending property "b2b.toTradingPartnerId", value is "Google".
    28-Apr-2011 10:43:20 Sending property "b2b.documentProtocolVersion", value is "Amazon_1.50".Sending property "b2b.documentProtocolVersion", value is "Amazon_1.50".
28-Apr-2011 10:43:20 Sending property "b2b.documentProtocolName", value is "Custom".Sending property "b2b.documentProtocolName", value is "Custom".
28-Apr-2011 10:43:20 Sending property "b2b.fromTradingPartnerId", value is "Amazon".Sending property "b2b.fromTradingPartnerId", value is "Amazon".
28-Apr-2011 10:43:20 Sending property "b2b.toTradingPartnerIdType", value is "Generic Identifier".Sending property "b2b.toTradingPartnerIdType", value is "Generic Identifier".
    28-Apr-2011 10:43:20 Sending property "b2b.documentDefinitionName", value is "PO_Defn".Sending property "b2b.documentDefinitionName", value is "PO_Defn".
28-Apr-2011 10:43:20 Sending property "b2b.fromTradingPartnerIdType", value is "Generic Identifier".Sending property "b2b.fromTradingPartnerIdType", value is "Generic Identifier".

28-Apr-2011 10:43:20 Invoked 1-way operation "send" on partner "SendB2BOrder".Invoked 1-way operation "send" on partner "SendB2BOrder".
    As seen In B2B Console:
    Sender Type     Generic Identifier
    Sender Value     Amazon
    Receiver Type     Generic Identifier
    Receiver Value     Google
    Sender     Google (????)
    Receiver     Google
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Ganesh

Not sure, What exactly are you trying to achieve.
Please check with your TP that url should be http://<url>:<port>/b2b/httpReceiver . "http://<url>:<port>/b2b/httpReceiver" or "http://<url>:<port>/b2b/transportServlet" URLs are used by B2B to receive the http request.
To send the message out from B2B, values should be like this:
    Sender Type Generic Identifier
    Sender Value Google
    Receiver Type Generic Identifier
    Receiver Value Amazon
    b2b.toTradingPartnerId = Amazon
    b2b.fromTradingPartnerId = Google
This means message to going from Google to Amazon.
If still the issue persist, Send the log to my mail.

  • SOA DB Adapter - Calling procedure returning PL/SQL types

    Hi All,
We have a Scenario where we are calling a Procedure from a SOA Composite using normal DB Adapter 'Call Procedure'.
This procedure is simply querying data from DB and returning a Oracle DB Object.
Since, the procedure returns a PL/SQL type which cannot be handled directly in SOA. So SOA creates a Wrapper Procedure on top of it.
This wrapper procedure is basically used to convert, during procedure calls, PL/SQL types to SQL and vice-versa.
The above said is a standard functionality provided by Oracle.
    Now:
We are facing a peculiar issue while calling the procedure. Many of the Procedure calls return the expected result many are failing due to error - 'NO DATA FOUND'.
Out of 100 calls, 34 failed. All the 100 calls have same input, implies that we should expect the same output.
We also confirmed that there were no other changes done in DB at that time.
We generated the DB trace and found that for the failed calls we don't get anything in trace.
That implies the call doesn't even reaches the DB.
We tried shutting down and starting back our Weblogic datasource. Issue got resolved, all calls start executing successfully!!!
But again after executing 1000-2000 calls, we again face the same issue. Calls with same input start failing with - 'NO DATA FOUND'.
We certainly know that its an issue with caching on Weblogic level. But not yet able to prove it.
We suspect that this caching is done at JDBC level in JPublisher component... Not Sure!!!
We have done enough RnD to rule out anything on DB or SOA side. Its on Weblogic.
Anybody out there has any idea on how this Weblogic caching is done and how we can control it?

Are you in a clustered environment and using coherence?
You can try to clear cache as mentioned below
    soa_server1->System MBean Browser->Application Defined MBeans->oracle.mds.lcm->Server: soa_server1->Application: soa-infra->MDSAppRuntime->MDSAppRuntime->Operations tab->clearCache

Maybe an open door, but are you able to FTP to that server from the same BPEL server under the same user account as BPEL is running?

  • SOA FTP Adapter - nothing happens !!

I created a simple scenario to pick up XML files from a remote unix server, similar to the examples provided under bpel/samples. I created a new FTP connection factory and provided the ftp server info. A simple BPEL process which contains a ftp get partner link, which has logical directory names. I provided the real directory names in bpel.xml, polling frequency 1 min. Added an assign step that just plucks out a few value from the incoming xml. I am able to deploy the process, but when I place a file in the input directory, nothing happens. I cant seem to find any error in the opmn.logs or j2ee logs. Whats going on ? How can I troubleshoot this ?

I increased all logs under BPEL Domain to "ALL", but it doesnt say much in the logs.
In the oc4j-ra.xml, I dont see ftpAbsolutePathBegin as a parameter. I am providing the complete path from the root directory ex. /home/user/soa/inbound

  • SOA FTP Adapter error

Ok so i created a new project an ESB project, i went to my ESB console and create a service/group to use. I placed an ftp adpter called get ( to get), Then i choose ascii and the opration of get for that adapter. The jndi name i choose was one inside my oc4j.xml file that has settings Ex. my username and password to ftp to my unix server (we will call FtpConnect1) it ask for directory to query(Ex. /home/ryan) file names (Ex. i tried *.txt Also i tried ryan123.txt <---- exact file name) then it created this file adapter with a get_RS by default.
Then i dragged another FTP adapter over into the workspace. called this on put and again same jndi name (im testing now, i want to just ftp from one directory on FtpConnect1 to another directory on FtpConnect1) (home/ryan/test <------ destination) i choose ascii and defined it as put operation.
Then by default this one did not come with its own RS attached so i created one so that it would connect to Get_RS to the Put_RS to the Put ftp adater connection.
