  • ESB_HOME error in log.xml after installation

What is that magic failed to get ESB_HOME: java.lang.NullPointerException
in log.xml file after installing SOA Suite package?
ESB Console also shows s empty service list.
I have tried couple of times to reinstall Suite with Basic install but nothing helps.
    Anyone knows this error issus?
    Cheers.

    Hello
    I've solved the problem.
In the stack.xml file are multiples software-components with the same name, here "SERVERCORE".
    I had 3 entries, two with patch-level 0 and one with patch-level 1.
I've deleted the two entries with patch-level 0 and then it works.
    Regards Christian

please close this tar I got the solutionLOL -
This was not a TAR. This was a discussion with the volunteers (mostly non-Oracle employees at that) who use Oracle and are willing to help others.
If this was a TAR, you would have been paying someone for the solution.

  • SOA Suite: startup errors from tip/esb.configuration.util

I have the following setup on Windows XP Pro:
    1. Oracle Database XE
    2. SOA Suite 10.1.3.1.0 - Advanced Install
    3. Upgrade to SOA Suite 10.1.3.4.0 MLR#7
    4. SOADEMO - runs very well; I can place orders that require approval and see audit logs fine.
Upon startup though I'm lots of errors coming from tip like the following:
    Component Name = tip
    Component ID = tip
    Module ID = esb.configuration
    User ID = SYSTEM
    Message Type = Error
Message Text = ConcreteSuffix: Not using Concrete Suffix
followed by errors like the following:
    Component Name = tip
    Component ID = tip
    Module ID = esb.configuration.util
    User ID = SYSTEM
    Message Type = Error
    Message Text = NameSpacePrefix:tnsportType:FedexShipment_ptt
(Note: My Soa Home is C:\bin\oracle\OraAppSrv_SOASuite\10.1.3\OracleAS_1 )
Any ideas on why the above error might be happening and how to eliminate it?
    Thanks in advance,

This seems to be an error in the loglevel for the a flag.

  • FODC0002 [{bea-err}FODC0002a]: Error parsing input XML: Error at line:2 col

I have an ODSI Physical Service that is based on a Java Function. The Java Function builds a SQL statement and uses JDBC to query for a ResultSet. One of the columns that is queried is a Clob. Sometimes, the data in this column causes an XMLBeans validation exception in ODSI: {err}XQ0027: Validation failed: error: decimal: Invalid decimal value: unexpected char '114'
The issue is not consistently replicable with particular database record, the database records that present this issue at one point in time will be resolved after a restart of ODSI and replaced by another list of records that present the same error.
As can be seen from the stack trace, it looks like the issue is happening after the database query has returned and while the process is assembling the SOAP response.

  • XML Error [4]: parse error in all the IP Phones

    Hi All,
While clicking on the Global Directory we are getting "XML Error [4]: Parse error " on the Cisco IP phone display,Global directory is pointed to the external server located in Same location .The issue started one week back .
I have attached the Wireshork output of the Phone ..
    Regards,
    Nishad KI

    Great catch Aaron
To aid with your trouble shooting an example of one of the requests that is failing is:
    http://10.106.32.64/CiscoIPServices/multidirectory/multidirectory.asp?id=4&action=list&l=a&f=a
From the URL a first name of 'a' and a last name of 'a' was entered, did something change recently that would affect this custom service?
I would assume this directory service queries LDAP/AD, you might want to check the user account it uses is still valid and have a look at the windows event logs on 10.106.32.64 for any hints.
Note: A restart of IIS on the directory application server might help to resolve this
    Thanks
    Stephen

  • Out of memory detected in log.xml

    Hi,
Our db version is 11.1.0.7.0 and in log.xml we see out of memory error like this
Out of memory detected in /u01/app/oracle/admin/diag/rdbms/ABCD/alert/log.xml at time/line number: Tue Feb 15 03:09:11 2011/54933.
    Alert log file looks ok.
    How to prevent this?

You need to provide more information than that. I presume you got this from the OEM alert.
Try looking in /u01/app/oracle/admin/diag/rdbms/ABCD/ABCD/trace/alert_ABCD.log and look at any entries for February 15th. That might point you in the right direction.

  • WavesetException: XML Error: 1:1: Content is not allowed in prolog. error

    What gives?
I have turned the exception trace on (why it is not on by default is a surprise) and when I try to create a standard Weekly Audit Report, (Activity this Week) I now get to see this exception.
How on earth can IdM generate a badly formed XML report/document!?
When I try to generate a Weekly Activity report, Idm reports to the screen that the Task is complete and then bombs out with the following exception, showing NullPointerError message on the screen.
What chances are there of trapping where in Idm this fault lies?

  • Entries with oracle's IP in log.xml file.

This is about a couple of log entries I found in /dcm/logs/emd_logs/log.xml file.
while I have some Idea about the message itself what I don't understand is why the <HOST_NWADDR> points to 148.87.12.57
Can anyone shed some light on this.
Does R2 connect to oracle in some way each time it is brought up, 'cause the IP 148.87.12.58 is the IP of the PortalStudio and I figured its neighbour belongs to oracle too.
Do I need to keep the box connected to Internet all the time for it to work.
Could someone at oracle tell me what my box is trying to do by connecting to 148.87.12.57.
    Please find the entries below.
    Thanx
    Vinodh R.

The <url-pattern> tells the application server which requests are to be handled by the FacesServlet. If the requested URL matches, then the FacesServlet handles the request.
This parameter is not specific to JSF.

  • Log sequence error - possible causes?

We're using C++, DBXML 2.1.7, with underlying Berkeley 4.3.28 - core 5 linux (2.6.16.28). We use transacted write's, with no nesting of transactions. We've been running with this version of DBXML for some time and this is the first time we've seen any sort of data corruption with the database.
In this case, the database server was shutdown, and the system restarted - on restart, the database server core dumped. Repeated attempts to restart the database gave the same failure. We enabled error output for the Berkeley DB and we get the following errors:
Finding last valid log LSN: file: 1 offset 8234100
    Recovery starting from [1][7965842]
Log sequence error: page LSN 1 1664073; previous LSN 1 5236280
Recovery function for LSN 1 8228918 failed on forward pass
    PANIC: Invalid argument
PANIC: fatal region error detected; run recovery (repeated several times)
followed by a segfault in libdb_cxx-4.3.so.
So I have 2 questions, the first (and most important) being - how can the log file get corrupted? Is this an OS/file system problem? Or could we have a problem in our database server? It's relatively simple - there is a single thread for read's/write's, and a separate "checkpoint" thread that periodically calls the txn_checkpoint function. Something was just changed on the system that has to do with mirroring, specifically on the partition that holds our database, but I don't know the details (I can get the info, though).
The second question - why is Berkeley choking on the error path, instead of causing a database panic? Granted, in this situation it would appear that we're hosed either way, but a panic is at least a little more user-friendy than a core dump. Looking at the core file, it appears that we've entered the error handling portion of dbenv_open, and the mp_handle of the environment object is NULL - we fail in the call to __dbenv_refresh because of that. (If you're interested, we rebuilt Berkeley with debug symbols - I can give you a stack trace with details for the segfault.)
Oh, the startup flags for the database server are: DB_CREATE|DB_INIT_LOCK|DB_INIT_LOG|DB_INIT_MPOOL|DB_INIT_TXN|DB_RECOVER|DB_THREAD
    Thanks!
    Wendy

As to the "why's": the database files are never moved (in normal operation - I did copy them to a similar system for debug, but the failure is the same on both systems), we always run recovery when we restart the server, we never physically access the environment outside of the server, and there is only one database server on the system, so no "cross contamination" from another server (basically, we're using DBXML as an embedded database to store configuration information - we have it running on multiple, identical systems, and this is the first time in over 2 years that we've seen any sort of database corruption).
So based on what you've said, the only other real possibility is if something happened to the partition holding the log file (all of the database files are on the same partition). Would there be any smoking guns we could look for on the physical system that might indicate what happened? The system that the failure originally occurred on is still in the 'last booted' state, in case there was anything that we could look for. The partition mirroring changes were just made this past week, which is why we thought it might be something at a lower level.
I just ran db_printlog and the entry for 1664073 looks like this:
    [1][1664073]__bam_repl: rec: 58 txnid 80000047 prevlsn [0][0]
    fileid: 21
    pgno: 3
    lsn: [1][8228918]
    indx: 3
    isdeleted: 0
    orig: 0xc
    repl: 0x11
    prefix: 8
    suffix: 23
The other record (5236280) does not exist in the log file, based on the output from db_printlog.
If there's anything else from the log print that you need, just let me know.
    Thanks!

  • ADF Logger - logging.xml file

    Hi,
We are building an ADF Application and created our logger, which is a wrapper around the ADFLogger. As expected logging etc works just fine for the ADF applications deployed in weblogic. However there are parts of the application which could be a standalone (pure java) based components deployed independently, which are leveraging this wrapper logger too. For these applications we added the ADF dependent libraries needed for the ADFLogger. Still these apps are not able to log anything, and I think the main reason being it is not able to get a handle to the logging.xml fine which defines the ODL handler. All other runtime parameters like
    "-Djbo.debugoutput=adflogger -Djbo.adflogger.level=FINEST" are passed.
There is no error etc, however the logs are not coming.
Is there a way where we can specify the logging.xml to the ADFLogger, so that it doesn't looks for the default location under - '+/<domain>/config/fmwconfig/servers/DefaultServer+'?
In general also (for pure ADF based applications), is there a way we can define the path of our logging.xml file, instead of using the default one?
    Would appreciate any help.
    Thanks
    Sachin

    Hi,
While I appreciate your response, however the question I have is - 'can we have our own logging.xml?' If yes how do we pass the information of our logging.xml to ADFLogger, instead of using the default logging.xml.
I know we can have our own logger handler defined within the logging.xml, but that is not what we are looking for. The ask is to have the option of having the path of logging.xml defined for ADFLogger.
    Thanks
    Sachin

  • High redo, log.xml and alert log generation with streams

    Hi,
We have a setup where streams and messaging gateway is implemented on Oracle 11.1.0.7 to replicated the changes.
Until recently there was no issue with the setup but for last few days there is an excessive amount of redo and log.xml and alert log generation, which takes up about 50gb for archive log and 20 gb for the rest of the files.
For now we have disabled the streams.
Please suggest the possible reasons for this issue.
    Regards,
    Ankit

Obviously, as no one here has access to the two files with error messages, log.xml and alert log, the resolution starts with looking into those files
and you should have posted this question only after doing this.
    Now no help is possible.

    Hi All,
Is <SOA_HOME>j2ee/oc4j_soa/log/oc4j_soa_soa_group_1/oc4j/log.xml contains all activity logs in soa server?
We need to check the time when our ESB server was down.

    Hi bbukacek
There is nothing in domains logs on timestamp when this service was invoked. Only there is a log for one service, that is making continuous SFTP connections. This service is creating 5 connections within a minute. I am thinking, this service is consuming our server resource, which is cauing a problem.
    Do you have any idea?

    Hi,
    Welcome to the    Discussions
AS the issue involves an iChat Server you would do better asking here for OS X Server 10.6 http://discussions.apple.com/forum.jspa?forumID=1352 (iChat Server stuff under the Collaboration Forum)
Or here http://discussions.apple.com/forum.jspa?forumID=1235 a specific iChat Server Forum under OS X server 10.5
Most likely it will be a DNS issue between client and the Host Server (The DNS settings for the iChat Server)
