Web-Service WSDL contains no messages in External Definations

Hi All,
I am working on IDOC->XI->Web-method scenatio.
Web-method team has given me attached WSDL. this WSDL is not showing any message in Message Tab while uploading WSDL in External Definations Tab in IR.
Is it possible to send data to this type of Web-method with receiver SOAP Adapter?
Because in /people/shabarish.vijayakumar/blog/2006/03/28/rfc--xi--webservice--a-complete-walkthrough-part-2 weblog we can see messages in message tab while uploading message.
Please help.
Regards

Hi Stefan,
Thanks for reply. You are true WSDL is RPC style.
But if you Observe My WebService WSDL following lines
<wsdl:message name="publishSalesOrderCanonicalInput">
<wsdl:part name="_x0078_mlString" type="xsd:string"/>
</wsdl:message>
<b>There is only one part(field) but we wants to send 50 field XML.</b>
If you see Note:856597 & attached WSDL in Note getQuote_rpc.wsdl following lines
<message name="GetTradePriceInput">
<part name="tickerSymbol" type="xsd:string"/>
<part name="time" type="xsd:dateTime"/>
</message>
<b>There are two part(fields) for two XML fields as in Note.</b>
Is it possible to Pass XML message in this type of web-service?
If possible then How can I send?
Please help....

  • Web service response contains SOAP Headers with "mustUnderstand" true

    Hi
    I have a requirement where in I have to consume a web service as adaptive web service model, and while executing the service pass a mandatory parameter to the soap header. We are able to set the mandatory parameter to the soad header. We got the code snippet to do this from a wiki link
    http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/WDJava/FAQ-Models-AdaptiveWebService#FAQ-Models-AdaptiveWebService-WhatarethefunctionalgapsofthecurrentAdpativeWSModelImporter%3F
    On executing the service now through web dynpro we are getting the below error
    "Web service response contains SOAP Headers with "mustUnderstand" true which are not handled by the client runtime"
    Any thoughts on how to handle this mustUnderstand attribute with some code snippet? Appreciate all help.
    Thanks,
    KN.

    Hi
    Have you found the workaround?
    Sorry for refreshing topic. Flag mustUnderstand ='1' in response is unussual thing.

    Hi,
    I used web service refences to create call this web service and when I tested the web service in the test area in web service refences
    it is working fine and it is giving the foloowing
    In the request:

  • Updating web service WSDL in Flash Builder 4

    I have a web service added to my FB4 project. It is all working nicely but I cannot work out how to refresh the web service wsdl. In flex builder 3 there was a "Manage web services" option that let you do it but there doesn't appear to be one in Flash Builder 4.
    How do I update the generated code?

    In FB 4.5,  if you go to the Data Services view, and then right click on the data service (WSDL) you connected to, there is an option there to refresh the WSDL.  It works very well for me.

  • Connecting to Data via a web service:  WSDL vs HTTP REST

    I created an app and easily was able to get my data from my web service via connecting using the WSDL file.  I then added RESTful to my web service and tested it via SOAPUI and then I created a copy of my original app and deleted the link to my service and then added it but this time using the HTTP connection and I was able to connect, I was able to get my value objects created via the xml parser.  However, for some reason, my date fields are not working.  I went into debug and it says they are invalid.  I checked the xml for both the web service WSDL version and the HTTP RESTful and they look the same.  So why all of the sudden does my dates not work?
    SOAPui from web service
    <endDate>2011-05-30T09:53:00-06:00</endDate>
    RESTful address
    <endDate>2011-05-30T09:53:00-06:00</endDate>
    RESTful Flash
    endDate:Date
    WSDL Flash
    endDate:Date

    DS Version: 14.2.1.224 (14 sp1)
    Job Server 14.2.2.5xx (14 sp2)
    Configuration on the Web Service:
    URL:
    https://maxcvservices.dnb.com/Company/V4.0?wsdl
    https://maxcvservices.dnb.com/FirmographicsProduct/V3.2?wsdl
    WSS User: provided the name
    WSS Pass: provided the pass
    Timeout set to 500
    All other settings are blank.
    Does something need to be defined on the job server?
    The WSDL does not even open on the workstation unless I use an adapter. I had found an article/help/note (something) that the web service in SAP DS does not work with HTTPS and it does with an HTTP Adapter.
    I do not have access to Job Server, will have to schedule some changes if there is config that has to happen there.
    Thanks for your input.
    Cheers,
    Ryan

  • Consume External Web Service (WSDL) in ABAP (Release 700) - Proxy Error

    Hi All,
    Have a requirement to Consume an External Web Service in ABAP. We have the WSDL for Ext. Web Service.
    Did some research and came across the link:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/69/8a1e9553dc4baba6026a3db510cadb/content.htm
    First tried to generate a 'Consumer Proxy'. Since external WSDL, used SE80 to generate the Consumer Proxy.
    But finally got Error Msg 'Incorrect value: XSD name space not available'! Could you please let me know:
    1) What is causing this error and how to rectify it?
    2) Is it possible to view the Proxy that I had created (which is in error)? is there a Proxy Editor?

    Hy Brad, I got the same error by trying to generate a 'Consumer Proxy' from a external WSDL. u2019Incorrect value: XSD name space not available'. I have solved it in this way: The report RSSIDL_DESERIALIZE_DEMO has the same check routines as the R3-Proxy Generator. I debugged this report using a saved external WSDL and compared it with using a saved WSDL (Server) generated under /nse80.
    -> In the WSDL, in part message the "type" isnu2019t allowed, because the dezerialization is done already.
    Coding, not working:

  • Proxy error when consuming External Web Service (WSDL) in ABAP

    Hi all,

  • Web Service WSDL File Generation

    hello everybody, I have an outbound interface with sender soap adapter to work as a web service, I tested it by generating the wsdl file in the integration directory, and I tested it with altova xmlspy and it works really fine, but now I have a problem another aplication needs to call the webservice, but when they try to import the wsdl file it turns out that in their system they can only import rpc files and not document style files, is there a way to generate a RPC file from an xi interface, or is there a third tool to do this conversion, or what needs to be done, has anyone found this problem before??? thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Julio Cesar

    Hi ,
    As far as I am aware of ...
    3 SOAP encoding styles are there :
    SOAP Remote Procedure Call (RPC) encoding, also known as Section 5 encoding, as defined by the SOAP 1.1 specification and later defined in SOAP 1.2 as RPC encodings and conventions
    SOAP Remote Procedure Call Literal encoding (SOAP RPC-literal,) uses RPC methods to make the call but uses an XML do-it-yourself method for mar-shaling the data.
    SOAP document-style encoding, also known as message-style or document-literal encoding.
    Kindly Check this Link out

  • OBPM10g - Dynamic selection of web service WSDL or endpoint

    I'm consuming a web service in Oracle BPM10g. The user gave me 2 WSDL files: one for DEV and one for UAT environment, they have different file names but the only difference is their respective endpoint. Introspecting the DEV WSDL generated the catalog structure: Services.myWebServiceDev, whereas introspecting the UAT WSDL generated the catalog structure: Services.myWebServiceUat
    Right now I am testing in DEV. I have declared instance variables whose type is something like: Services.myWebServiceDev.type1
    What will happen when going to UAT? Will I have to declare all my instance variables again but now with the structure generated during UAT WSDL introspection (e.g. Services.myWebServiceUat.type1) and dynamically select what type of variables to use (dev or uat) depending on the server the project is being deployed to?
    Or
    ¿Is there a way to select/change dynamically the endpoint associated to one introspected WSDL so I can only change this endpoint value (in an automatic activity before web service invocation) depending on the deployment server so I don't have to re-declare all my variables again?
    Thanks.

  • Web Service WSDL/URL not seen by Excel

    Hello,
    I have a BW function module with a web service created over it and I am trying to get this to connect to Excel 2003.(The web services tool kit is installed)  I can get Excel to see this web service:
    http://www.webservicex.net/WS/WSDetails.aspx?CATID=2&WSID=9
    but not the one I created.
    I don't know why it doesn't work with mine. I am using SAP Netweaver 2004s. I also made sure that the username/password is included in the WSDL URL.  I am able to connect to the Web Service's homepage in IE and run a sucessful test of the FM it connects too. I have the Toolkit installed in Office 2003. In WSCONFIG I can see that the web service is green/has been succesfully released.
    Is there anything I have to do to ensure the service is exposed to the world?
    Many thanks,
    Gary

    AAAaahh I figured it out!
    I must have had a typo somewhere in my WSDL when I inserted the system user name and password into it.  That is what I was missing.
    This is what didn't work for me:
    http://host.name.com:1234/sap/bc/srt/rfc/sap/ZGEM_ADD_WEBSERVICE?sap-client=123&wsdl=1.1
    What did work(inserted username and password into generated wsdl):
    http://host.name.com:1234/sap/bc/srt/rfc/sap/ZGEM_ADD_WEBSERVICE?sap-client=123&sap-user=username&sap-password=password&wsdl=1.1
    Thanks for your replies everyone!

  • PL/SQL web services - WSDL file generation weirdness

    Hi there,
    I am using JDeveloper 11.1.1.3.0 to generate web services from PL/SQL packages.
    I noticed a strange behavior regarding the generated xmlns mappings in the WSDL file. Sometimes it is generated like this:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    <wsdl:definitions
         name="CSOHSServices"
         targetNamespace="http://apps/CSOHSServices.wsdl"
         xmlns:wsdl="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/"
         xmlns:tns="http://apps/CSOHSServices.wsdl"
         xmlns:tns0="http://apps/CSOHSServices.wsdl/types/"
        >
        <wsdl:message name="CSOHSServices_getAssetsIwResponse">
            <wsdl:part name="result" type="tns0:XxpoCsoHsAssetRecUserArray"/>  <==== HERE
        </wsdl:message>
    ...Then, if I re-generate the web service, without changing anything, it is generated like this:
        <wsdl:message name="CSOHSServices_getAssetsIwResponse">
            <wsdl:part name="result" type="tns:XxpoCsoHsAssetRecUserArray"/>  <==== HERE
        </wsdl:message>
    Note that instead of tns0 the type attribute now points to tns.
    I have other code that relies on the xmlns mappings and I have to keep changing it to reflect what is generated. This is driving me crazy!
    Any explanation why this happens and/or how to fix it so the WSDL is always generated the same way?
    Thanks
    Luis

    Thanks for your answer, Timo.
    After briefly googling the term ojdeploy I found out that it is a utility for "building and deploying applications via the command line without starting JDeveloper" - exactly what I need actually.
    What I have just tried is to create a build.xml from my project. It worked. In build.xml I found information like compile java source file and copy to a certain directory. I have already seen similar information in .jpr and .jws (how a WAR is created, what are the names of deployment descriptors, how the war is packaged to EAR and so on).
    But the starting point of my development are not the java sources but a pl/sql package -> the java sources and deployment descriptors are created by Jdev like described in the first post. Still, I haven't found an ant task for creating java and deployment descriptor from pl/sql package (don't know if it works also with pl/sql sources?).
    (1) Could you please provide a hint where to search for all ant tasks shipped with jdev? Or I rather expect that those ant tasks are generated depending on user input...
    (2) Is there an ant task for the function pl/sql to java like described in the first post? Just noticed that in jdev 11.1.2.3 the name of the dialog differs that in the first post -> first post referencing 11.1.1.6. In 11.1.2.3 the name is "Publish as JAX-RPC Web Service..." when right-clicking on a DB package.
    (3) If there is no such ant task and jdev is doing the magic internally via a java class, is it a way to call such a function via console? I assume a shipped jar needs to be unzipped...
    Thanks in advance for any hint.
    Kind regards,
    Anton

    I was previously able to generate a types jar just fine from the web service's WSDL. Recently, I made some changes to the web service. Apparently, these changes to the web service now cause the WSDL to be unparseable when trying to generate types jars.
    Any ideas?

    The WSDL is generated from my web service. I made heavy revisions to my web service which, in turn, affected the resultant WSDL. The changes I made to my web service were almost exclusively related to object substitution. For example, prior to the change I was referencing object A from my web service; after the change, I was referencing object B. The objects that I'm referring to are XMLBeans, if that matters. I can't really describe it more than that without actually showing you the WSDL.
    I would post the WSDL file here to allow you to try to create a types jar out of it, but the WSDL exceeds the 30000 character limit for this field. There is no way for me to attach the WSDL to this post.

  • Web Services - WSDL doubt.

    Hi all,
    I’m sorry to repeat this subject again, but I continue with some doubts…
    I read almost SDN web logs about web services. All they teach, how to configure and develop a simple web services… but the steps to create a web service connection between XI, continues a little bit confused to me…
    To clarify my objective, look at this scenario: With an iview with an upload form, I want to upload an xml file to XI trough web service (soap adapter). NW Portal <-> (web services) <-> XI.
    I don’t have sure what I need to do to configure a scenario like that. Tell me if I’m correct: First I need to create an outbound interface to connect Portal via web services to XI, with a soap adapter?
    In the web logs that I’m read, (/people/siva.maranani/blog/2005/09/03/invoke-webservices-using-sapxi) I need to download wsdl files… but who make these wsdl files? I need to make it before configure my soap adapter?
    I don’t understand what is the propose of wsdl files and what is used for!!! I never worked with web services… I’m come from ABAP programming and I’m trying to do the first steps in web technologies. So, I’m sorry if said some mistakes…
    Please, can anybody clarify my doubts? Documentation to help is appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    Ricardo.

    Hi Ricardo,
    >>>I don’t have sure what I need to do to configure a scenario like that. Tell me if I’m correct: First I need to create an outbound interface to connect Portal via web services to XI, with a soap adapter?
    yes that's what you have to do:
    1. create an outbound interface
    2. publish a web service based on this interface (sender SOAP adapter)
    >>>In the web logs that I’m read, (/people/siva.maranani/blog/2005/09/03/invoke-webservices-using-sapxi) I need to download wsdl files… but who make these wsdl files? I need to make it before configure my soap adapter?
    you need to download wsld file if you want to call
    a web service <b>from</b> XI, since you only want to do Portal -> xi and not XI -> web service then you <b>don't</b> need any
    wsld files
    >>>but who make these wsdl files?
    you will, once you'll define your web service
    on the XI - your Portal iview will use this file

  • Process as a Web Service WSDL client

    Hi,
    I am using the Process as a Web Service Option inside of BPM . I launch the deployed webservices webapps and I get the WSDL out of it.. The WSDL works fine with SOAP UI..But when I try to create a web service client out of that WSDL it gives me the following error:-
    com.bea.albpm.TestProject.SampleProject.OperationException cannot be resolved as type and the web service client does not work..
    how do I resolve this error.. Is there a jar file that I need to import?

    Did you use PAPI code inside your web service or did u just use PAPI Web Services ( like did u just pressed the button Launch PAPI Web Services ) and it created the WSDL for you and u used it to create the client?
    I am using the latest version of OBPM..
    Oracle 10.3.10
    Can you let me know what do u mean by PAPI interface.. Is it the PAPI code of is the PAPI Web Service which is built by BPM automatically and could be used?

  • Web service wsdl problem

    I have a very simple web service cfc file that uses another cfc component in the returntype. Both cfc files are on the same directory in the server. It fails to register (wsdl) on the CF server. If I change the returntype of the web service call to "any" it would work. Anyone has any idea? Below is the code:
    authentication_wsapi.cfc
        <cfcomponent>
          <cffunction name="getManagers"
                  access="remote"
                  returntype="User"
                  output="no">
                <cfobject component="User" name="ret">
                <cfreturn ret>
          </cffunction>
        </cfcomponent>
    User.cfc
        <cfcomponent>
          <cfproperty name="loginName" type="string">
        </cfcomponent>
    url to test:
    http://wsapi.my.com/authentication_wsapi.cfc?wsdl
    Error I got:
    AXIS error

        at org.apache.axis.description.JavaServiceDesc.loadServiceDescByIntrospection(JavaServiceDes c.java:863)
    If I modify authentication_wsapi.cfc as below (only difference is the returntype) it will work:
            <cfcomponent>
          <cffunction name="getManagers"
                  access="remote"
                  returntype="any"                        <----- changed from "User" to "any"
                  output="no">
                <cfobject component="User" name="ret">
                <cfreturn ret>
          </cffunction>
        </cfcomponent>
    It seems authentication_wsapi.cfc can not see the User.cfc on the same dir. BUT the "cfobject" call to create the User component is not complaining though. Any help will be apprecriated!

    bkbk,
    I tried as you suggested and found some interesting things, but problem still exists...
    I created the test.cfm page as you suggested:
    test.cfm
    <cftry>
    <cfobject component="User" name="testUser">
    <cfobject component="authentication_wsapi" name="wsapi">
    <cfcatch type="any">
       <cfdump var="#cfcatch#">
       <cfabort>
    </cfcatch>
    </cftry>
    Done creating.
    and hit it at url:
    http://wsapi.my.com/test.cfm
    There was no error, it shows "Done creating.".
    Just to make sure, I modified my authentication_wsapi.cfc to be:
    authentication_wsapi.cfc
        <cfcomponent>
          <cffunction name="getManagers"
                  access="remote"
                  returntype="User_non_exist"
                  output="no">
                <cfobject component="User_non_exist" name="ret">
                <cfreturn ret>
          </cffunction>
        </cfcomponent>
    and hit it with the test.cfm url, still no error. Strange!
    So I modified test.cfm like this:
    test.cfm
    <cftry>
    <cfobject component="User" name="testUser">
    <cfobject component="authentication_wsapi" name="wsapi">
    <cfset a = wsapi.getManagers()>
    <cfcatch type="any">
       <cfdump var="#cfcatch#">
       <cfabort>
    </cfcatch>
    </cftry>
    Done creating.
    Now I see an error complaining the User_non_exist component not exist.
    So I changed the authentication_wsapi.cfc back to it's correct form, and with the new test.cfm, and hit the url, there was no error.
    Now I hit the wsdl url, it still gave me the original error.
    I think the wsdl compiler or some sort in CF server can not see the component inside the authentication_wsapi.cfc.
    I am using Coldfusion 9, 64 bit, enterprise version, on a Windows server 2008, with IIS 6.0.
    In the IIS web site I defined the "physical path" (is this the web root?) to
       C:\Savvi\Websites\CCD\WSAPI
    and both .cfc exist in
       C:\Savvi\Websites\CCD\WSAPI
    There are several other web sites co-exist in the same server, with different "physical path". I do not have a "/" mapping defined in the CF server.
