You should look into the log files of the standard-out/err. It should give you more hints on this error.

  • SOA Suite: startup errors from tip/esb.configuration.util

I have the following setup on Windows XP Pro:
    1. Oracle Database XE
    2. SOA Suite 10.1.3.1.0 - Advanced Install
    3. Upgrade to SOA Suite 10.1.3.4.0 MLR#7
    4. SOADEMO - runs very well; I can place orders that require approval and see audit logs fine.
Upon startup though I'm lots of errors coming from tip like the following:
    Component Name = tip
    Component ID = tip
    Module ID = esb.configuration
    User ID = SYSTEM
    Message Type = Error
Message Text = ConcreteSuffix: Not using Concrete Suffix

    Component Name = tip
    Component ID = tip
    Module ID = esb.configuration.util

    Message Text = NameSpacePrefix:tnsportType:FedexShipment_ptt
(Note: My Soa Home is C:\bin\oracle\OraAppSrv_SOASuite\10.1.3\OracleAS_1 )
Any ideas on why the above error might be happening and how to eliminate it?

  • SOA suite installation error

I have installed Weblogic version 10.3.6.0 successfully. When trying to install SOA suite, it fails with the message "INST-07286: Specified Oracle Middleware home location does not have minimum version 10.3.5.0 of weblogic server. If the version is incorrect then configuring with the Weblogic server will fail." Not sure why this error comes even though weblogic is installed. Please suggest what could be missing.

    Maya,
When you are running the installation, try to add the flag '-novalidation'.
Please let me know if it worked.

  • Unable to access SOA suite start page from remote browser.

I have Oracle SOA Suite 10.1.3 and Oracle 10g AS 10.1.2 installed on a Windows 2000 machine.
I am able to access the default start page of the 10.1.2 AS from the local and remote machine using the following URLs
    Http:\\hostname:7777\
    Http:\\hostname:80\
Also, I am unable to access the SOA Suite 10.1.3 start page, bpel console etc - from the host machine using Http:\\hostname:8888\
However from a remote machine browser I am not able to connect to the start page of SOA suite only. Http:\\hostname:8888\.
Is there some settings which allow only local host access to the SOA suite pages?.
All the hosts are on the same intranet, there is no firewall. Also i have Msft loopback adapter installed on the server host machine.
    Appreciate all suggestions.
    Thanks

I suppose you're using DHCP and hope you have followed the steps in the Installation Guide. With DHCP it is always a bit tricky to access the server. You should check your /WINNT/system32/drivers/etc/hosts file. If the hostname you're using during install is not in it then adding it will help.

  • Deploy using admin_client.jar to Oracle SOA suite started up with java cmd

    Hey,
Someone at work asked me to create a deployer command to deploy to a locally running OC4J SOA suite. I got it working like this:
    java -jar %ORACLE_HOME%\j2ee\home\admin_client.jar deployer:oc4j:opmn://localhost/home oc4jadmin oc4jadmin -deploy -file <path> -deploymentName <appname> -bindAllWebApps
However when I implemented this using Maven2 there was a problem. It seems the SOA suite OC4J instance gets started up alternatively to get debugging to work. I started it up using the startupconsole which is automatically used in the Windows XP start menu.
They start it up like this:
    java -Xrs -server -XX:MaxPermSize=128M -ms512M -mx1024M -XX:AppendRatio=3 -Djava.security.policy=$ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/home/config/java2.policy -Djava.awt.headless=true -Dhttp.webdir.enable=false -Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true -Xdebug -Xrunjdwp:transport=dt_socket,address=5000,suspend=n,server=y -jar oc4j.jar
This causes the URI for deployment to be invalid. I tried lots of other URI forms I found online but none of them work. Maybe you guys know?
    Thanks in advance

    Something noteworthy it seems...
I added a few extra lines to the command to enable logging (as found here)
    http://theblasfrompas.blogspot.com/2007/12/adminclientjar-giving-standard-could.html

Looks like we need to add the external "web services" on a composite.xml - "composite" editor, this is will create a partner link for "Bpel" process.
Earlier I had created a "partner link" for web service on "Bpel editor", this had caused the problem.

  • Issue with default install of SOA suite under Windows

    Hello,
I installed SOA Suite without error, using the defaults of the Basic Installation.
When I start the SOA Suite, it starts up without error, but reports that ASG is Status=Down
When I try to create an Integration Server in JDeveloper, and test it, everything works, with the exception of the ESB Server:Fail, which in the details is listed as:
    ESB Connection, Not Run
Can anyone explain these behaviors (ASG Status=Down and ESB Connection = Not Run)? Are these normal based on not installing products from the Advanced options? I'm in the process of an evaluation and I don't want to go too far down a path if my system is already somewhat broken.
    Thanks.
    --T
    Thank you very much.

The ASG down is normal - it is not causing the other issue you have.
The JDev integration server connection error (ESB not run) is unfamiliar to me. Make sure you have created the Application Server connection properly (choose standalone). The Test Connection button for the Integration Server connection shows you status for the Application Server, the BPEL Server, and the ESB Server - what does it say for each of these?
    Heidi.

  • Failure of SOA Suite install

Installed SOA Suite (Win2K) - no problem, can access the SOA Suite.
However, after reboot system and cannot access the SOA Suite. Error is The Page cannot be displayed.
I have tried this three times - same problem.
Loopback adapter has been installed and works for other product. In the Control panel there are no entries in the Services window for the SOA Suite.
PLEASE let me know what the problem is or what to do to get it running.
    Thanks - Ken

The Basic Install option does not create a Windows Service so you won't see the SOA Suite there (it was there in the May version of the beta but no longer). You do get Olite there.
So, after rebooting, Olite is started but not the suite. You have to start the suite manually. Use the Windows Start menu and "Start SOA Suite" from the SOA Suite program group.
Note that you have to have a status of Alive before you continue. If you get Init, just Start again for updated status (doesn't actually keep starting the server, just gives you new status).
    Heidi.

    Thanks In Advance

This is what we have done :
1.Created the JDBC data source & connection pool as below :
    data source name : B2BAQ , JNDI name : jdbc/B2BAQ
    Connection Pool :
URL : taken from the tns entries of the instance
    Driver Class Name : oracle.jdbc.OracleDriver
Tested this connection ..it works fine from the Admin Console
2.Then go to Deployments --> AqAdapter -> Configuration tab --> Outbound Connection Pool Group -->
Create a new connection pool instance -- General tab
    connection interface factory : javax.resource.cci.ConnectionFactory
    JNDI Name : eis/AQ/B2BAQ
Then in Properties tab : Enter the Data Source Name : jdbc/B2BAQ
Then we try to Start the AqAdapter from the Admin Console..it goes into Prepared status.
The error message which comes is mentioned above.
Is there any way we could resolve this ..that would be very helpful

We check in the Configuration tab --> Outbound Connection Pools -->
here it shows the Group as javax.resource.cci.ConnectionFactory and under it we have setup
    2 connection pool instances with JNDI names as : eis/AQ/aqSample & eis/aq/B2BAQ
Could someone please help here as to what could be the reason why this error is coming and
    how we could resolve this.
    With Regards & thanks

    Regards

  • Error while starting the Weblogic Server in SOA Suite

    Hi All,
I installed SOA Suite 11.1.1.4.0 (weblogic server and SOA managaed server) couple of days back. The same machine has two more weblogic servers which contain different applications.(Means there total three Weblogic admin servers and one SOA manage server).
I used to start all the servers successfully .I also used to start SOA server successfully .
But today when I am trying to start Weblogic Admin server(SOA related),I am getting below error:
    Error Log:

***Could not find the main class: weblogic.Server. Program will exit.***
    ***C:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\mdm_soadomain\bin>***
I saw setDomainEnv.cmd file and all other files.I did not change anything recently. But I am nit getting any idea why that exception is coming.
PLease give me guidance for this.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
Is the message "The system cannot find the path specified." reported as a direct response on the "C:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\mdm_soadomain\bin>startWebLogic" command, by Windows? Or do you see that this command really is executing but is the message reported later in the logs? Is it also reported on the command window output?
From your questioning I take it that the command initially really is executing and that the path not found message is reported later in the process. In that case it you should debug the start process. My method in these cases is adding recognizable echo statements in the weblogic start scripts. Firstly to see how far the process comes, which statements are executed. Basically to narrow down at what specific statement/command the scripts fails.
Secondly to echo the specific environment variables used. These things don't happen "magically" somehow, somewhere, something is changed. Although you might not find out when it was and who was responsible.
What might help is to know that the startWeblogic script is calling the setDomainEnv script in the same folder and also does a call to a weblogic settings script in the weblogic binaries folder from the weblogic home. (I don't know the scripts name by heart and I haven't have a VM started with a WLS env right now.
Then after these two scripts and doing some Environment variable checking to build up the arguments (java vendor, memory-args, etc.) for the java-process, it in the end calls the java-process from the choosen JVM-home. So it might be interesting to look up the place where it actually calls java. And right before that put echo's to display the JAVA_HOME and the complete java-command that it plans to execute. It might be that you installed another JVM/JDK, maybe you updated the default JVM on windows? And that it just can't find the correct JVM.
In setDomainEnv you can set up the paths to the different JVM's. Using the JAVA_VENDOR environment variable you can switch between them.
For instance, if you want to use JRockit, look voor the BEA_JAVA_HOME. The variable for Sun Hotspot should be around there as well. Validate those.
    Hope this helps.
