Looks like we need to add the external "web services" on a composite.xml - "composite" editor, this is will create a partner link for "Bpel" process.
Earlier I had created a "partner link" for web service on "Bpel editor", this had caused the problem.

  • SOA Suite: startup errors from tip/esb.configuration.util

I have the following setup on Windows XP Pro:
    1. Oracle Database XE
    2. SOA Suite 10.1.3.1.0 - Advanced Install
    3. Upgrade to SOA Suite 10.1.3.4.0 MLR#7
    4. SOADEMO - runs very well; I can place orders that require approval and see audit logs fine.
Upon startup though I'm lots of errors coming from tip like the following:
    Component Name = tip

    Module ID = esb.configuration

    Message Type = Error
Message Text = ConcreteSuffix: Not using Concrete Suffix

    Component ID = tip
    Module ID = esb.configuration.util

    Message Text = NameSpacePrefix:tnsportType:FedexShipment_ptt
(Note: My Soa Home is C:\bin\oracle\OraAppSrv_SOASuite\10.1.3\OracleAS_1 )
Any ideas on why the above error might be happening and how to eliminate it?

I have installed Weblogic version 10.3.6.0 successfully. When trying to install SOA suite, it fails with the message "INST-07286: Specified Oracle Middleware home location does not have minimum version 10.3.5.0 of weblogic server. If the version is incorrect then configuring with the Weblogic server will fail." Not sure why this error comes even though weblogic is installed. Please suggest what could be missing.

When you are running the installation, try to add the flag '-novalidation'.

  • Replacing composite versions in Oracle SOA Suite deploy

I'm developing a SOA application using Oracle SOA Suite BPMN processes. I have been deploying the 1.0.0 version of my app but in one occasion I used the 1.0.1 version for my deploy, since then, when I deploy a composite with 1.0.0 version the deployed process doesn't includes the new activities that I'm adding during development. ie:
    My 1.0.0 version includes:
    MyProcess
    HumanTaskOne
    HumanTaskTwo
    SubProcessOne
Then, I deployed the 1.0.1 version (including minor fixes):
    MyProcess
    HumanTaskOne
    HumanTaskTwo
    SubProcessOne
And now, I decided to continuing using 1.0.0 version, but with new changes, so my new composite includes:
    MyProcess
    HumanTaskOne
    ScriptTaskOne
    HumanTaskTwo
    SubProcessOne
So, now when I test the app, the created instance doesn't contains the ScripTaskOne activity. It looks like its remembering the old activities and ignoring the new one, but I'm in developing mode and there is no current version, so I want to override this settings and continue to develop under 1.0.0 version. I tried to undeploy all the processes from server but when I redeploy the 1.0.0 version it ignores the new activities.
Someone knows how to solve this problem???

    Hi,
The datasource named "mds-owsm" is suspended...It should be in the Running state...
Login to the Weblogic Admin Console, go to data sources, go to the mds-owsm data source, go to Monitoring tab, there you can see the state, it would be suspended
in your case, restart the data source, and bounce the servers and then try to deploy the composite. It will work.
    Thanks,

  • JDeveloper SOA Suite App Server connection issue

I am having an issue in JDeveloper connecting to SOA Suite deployed on an Amazon EC2 instance. From the application server tab, I can successfully create a new app server connection to SOA Suite (all 9 tests in the "Test Connection" run successfully). However, after that when I try to expand the SOA folder under the app server tab, I get a "javax.naming.CommunicationException", shown below. All the other folders (Clusters, Servers, Deployments, Web Services) expand and show the proper information without error.
One thing I notice is that an explicit IP of 10.80.47.145 using T3 protocol is listed in the error, as opposed to the host name of the Amazon EC2 instance over http. But I am not sure how to change that in JDeveloper's configuration for the app server. And it doesn't make sense why that is the only folder that errors out.
Thanks in advance for any help.

We are having the same issue here. We have added an SSL certificate to our soa server, and now when we connect with JDEV 11.1.1.4 it gives us this error. Those that are on 11.1.1.3 have imported the certificate to their keystore in JDEV and it works fine for them, but for those of us on 11.1.1.4, we still receive the same error.

  • Issue with default install of SOA suite under Windows

    Hello,
I installed SOA Suite without error, using the defaults of the Basic Installation.
When I start the SOA Suite, it starts up without error, but reports that ASG is Status=Down
When I try to create an Integration Server in JDeveloper, and test it, everything works, with the exception of the ESB Server:Fail, which in the details is listed as:
    ESB Connection, Not Run
Can anyone explain these behaviors (ASG Status=Down and ESB Connection = Not Run)? Are these normal based on not installing products from the Advanced options? I'm in the process of an evaluation and I don't want to go too far down a path if my system is already somewhat broken.
    Thanks.
    --T
    Thank you very much.

The ASG down is normal - it is not causing the other issue you have.
The JDev integration server connection error (ESB not run) is unfamiliar to me. Make sure you have created the Application Server connection properly (choose standalone). The Test Connection button for the Integration Server connection shows you status for the Application Server, the BPEL Server, and the ESB Server - what does it say for each of these?

  • Single SOA Suite Install with multiple oc4j instances and java processes

We right now have 5 BPEL processes and 5 ESB processes all running under one java.exe process. We would like to seperate some of
them out into their own java.exe processes without having to install more

the install would do with this new oc4j instance but it wants to create a new
%ORACLE_HOME% with an entire installation of SOA Suite.
Is there some sort of way to clone oc4j instances that have SOA Suite deployed to them so that you
    don't need multiple %ORACLE_HOME% instances?

migrating projects over from our current integration server product and we'll
have potentially dozens more BPEL and ESB projects. We definitely want to
group and isolate projects so that outages of one project do not bring down
    others that are unrelated.
We are currently experiencing periodic problems with one BPEL project that requires recycling but all the other BPEL and ESB
projects get recycled also. If we could put this project into it's own java
process without creating another SOA SUITE instance, it would be a big
    help.
    ANSWER

You can create multiple domains in BPEL or create multiple systems/groups in ESB to group different projects.

We have been using systems/groups in ESB but they all run under the save java.exe process. I would assume that having a seperate domain in BPEL would also run in that same java.exe process.
Right now, the one BPEL project we have a problem with will gobble up all the JDBC connections from time to time and that requires a recycle of SOA Suite, which means all BPEL and ESB projects that run in that java.exe process get recycled also. We're working that issue in a different ticket.
It would be nice if the SOA Suite installation would install against a new oc4j instance and not assume it has to create a complete %ORACLE_HOME% instance. The components of SOA Suite seem to be J2EE based components.
Scenario: I already have an oc4j instance called oc4j_soa and a complete %ORACLE_HOME% installation of soa suite. I then create a new oc4j instance from Enterprise Manager. Then I would deploy the esb-dt, esb-rt, orabpel, etc. components of SOA Suite to that new oc4j instance and modify the necessary config file so that it can work with OHS and the SOA Suite Databases. Is this possible?
Does anyone have any experience with this or do people typically install multiple complete installation of SOA Suite with mulitple Oracle Homes?

    Hi,
yes, on metalink you get in touch with real experts....
You have to install serveral application servers to get different ORACLE_HOMEs.
For each one, you can install a BPEL PM.
But: For each BPEL PM you need your own database instance, or you have to configure them as a clustered BPEL installation.... (but i do not know if this work with non RAC DBs)

  • Failure of SOA Suite install

Installed SOA Suite (Win2K) - no problem, can access the SOA Suite.
However, after reboot system and cannot access the SOA Suite. Error is The Page cannot be displayed.
I have tried this three times - same problem.
Loopback adapter has been installed and works for other product. In the Control panel there are no entries in the Services window for the SOA Suite.
PLEASE let me know what the problem is or what to do to get it running.
    Thanks - Ken

The Basic Install option does not create a Windows Service so you won't see the SOA Suite there (it was there in the May version of the beta but no longer). You do get Olite there.
So, after rebooting, Olite is started but not the suite. You have to start the suite manually. Use the Windows Start menu and "Start SOA Suite" from the SOA Suite program group.
Note that you have to have a status of Alive before you continue. If you get Init, just Start again for updated status (doesn't actually keep starting the server, just gives you new status).

  • Error message deploying a composite in SOA Suite 11g

    Hello,
We are attempting to deploy a composite to SOA Suite 11g (11.1.1.3). We're getting an 'Unable to register service' error message. When I inspect the log files I see the following entry as the first error:
    Failed to retrieve policy[[
oracle.wsm.policyaccess.PolicyAccessException: WSM-06146 : Error deleting the attachment entries.
Anybody have any experience with this error? The error message reference has the following listed:
WSM-06146: Error deleting the attachment entries.
Cause: Failure occurred while deleting the attachment entries.
Action: Ensure that a valid list of policy subjects for deactivated lifecycle type is passed
    Level: 32
    Type: INCIDENT_ERROR
    Impact: Configuration
I don't know how to "ensure that a valid list of policy subjects for deactivated lifecycle type is passed". Please help!!!!
    Thanks,
    jh

This is what we have done :
1.Created the JDBC data source & connection pool as below :
    data source name : B2BAQ , JNDI name : jdbc/B2BAQ
    Connection Pool :
URL : taken from the tns entries of the instance
    Driver Class Name : oracle.jdbc.OracleDriver
Tested this connection ..it works fine from the Admin Console
2.Then go to Deployments --> AqAdapter -> Configuration tab --> Outbound Connection Pool Group -->
Create a new connection pool instance -- General tab
    connection interface factory : javax.resource.cci.ConnectionFactory
    JNDI Name : eis/AQ/B2BAQ
Then in Properties tab : Enter the Data Source Name : jdbc/B2BAQ
Then we try to Start the AqAdapter from the Admin Console..it goes into Prepared status.
The error message which comes is mentioned above.
Is there any way we could resolve this ..that would be very helpful
    Regards

  • Yet another error deploying BPEL process on SOA Suite 11g

    Hi All,
I am getting the following error when trying to deploy a SOA composite from Jdev 11g (on XP) to SOA suite (on linux). Somehow the JDev is trying to create a connection to 3.3.3.27 which is the private IP of the soa server even though the connection is using the public IP. The application connection is successfully created and tested using the public IP address. Any idea where the private IP is being picked up from? There is no setup under the proxy in JDev preferences.
    Thanks in advance.

Added the IP to the hosts files per you suggestion - however still the same error. It's still trying to go to the private IP.
