SOAP adapter Header data

This is SOAP to PROXY
We are getting userid information in SOAP Header . This information has to be captured and pass to receiver.
1) How to access the SOAP header data
2) Can I Map it to target strcture, if so how target structure shud be formed.
Please Note I cannot use XSLT as I donot have skils in XSLT coding/mapping.

  • Soap Adapter meta data is not available in XI3.0

    Hi,
    We are not getting SOAP Adapter meta data in Integration Builder. Inspite of that we have imported package as the XI content for Software version SAP Basis 6.4 (XI3_0_SAP_BASIS_6.40_00_00.tpz).
    When we configuring one of our business scenario using SOAP Adapter. Integration Builder (Configuration), In Communication channel, Adapter type SOAP is not appearing.
    Any idea on this?

    Pl check in the back end table at R3 side whether there is any records there or not and check with the functional team that they have entered data.
    If data is there then initialize the set up tables and then check in RSA3

  • SOAP Receiver Adapter - Read Header data on Synchronous Response

    I have a scenario - flat file to SOAP. The web service provider sends a response that contains data in the Header that I need to access. I have tried to use the "Do Not Use SOAP envelope" option on my receiver SOAP adapter, and I have configured my request message type to include the soap envelope elements. However I'm getting the following error from the web service
    com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: SOAP: response message contains an error XIAdapter/HTTP/ADAPTER.HTTP_EXCEPTION - HTTP 415 Cannot process the message because the content type 'application/xml' was not the expected type 'text/xml; charset=utf-8'.
    I've read some inputs on this error that say to use the Transform bean to adjust the content to text/xml. However I'm not sure how to do that. If that is the correct resolution to my problem, can someone provide detailed steps on how to add the Transform bean to the adapter module. I have no experience with adding items to the module tab.
    If there are other ways to tackle this scenario to get access to the SOAP Header from the SOAP receiver adapter, please share those as well.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Sender SOAP adapter: get soap header data

    Hi,
    I've been going through various posts and blogs here on SDN + looked in the how to guide for SOAP adapter, but still find it quite difficult to actually find out how to do it. I've tried to follow recommendations seen, but it doesn't add up.
    So can someone please tell me how to get an element situated in the SOAP header of the request sent to XI via sender soap adapter?
    Let's for instance say the request looks like this:
    <SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:SOAP-ENC="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
         <SOAP-ENV:Header>
              <SSN>1234567890</SSN>
         </SOAP-ENV:Header>
         <SOAP-ENV:Body>
              <event>
                   <elem1>data 1</elem1>
                   <elem2>data 2</elem2>
                   <elem3>data 3</elem3>
              </event>
         </SOAP-ENV:Body>
    </SOAP-ENV:Envelope>
    How can I get the data in the SSN-header element at mapping time?
    I'm sure this can be done by using adapter modules as the first step adapter, but I prefer doing it at mapping time if possible.
    Best Regards,
    Daniel

    I solved it on my own now. My missing link was the fact that I'm using XMLSPY to send request and thus need to replace all '&amp;' with & in Connection Endpoint.

  • Reading Header data in a SOAP Envelope for SOAP Sender Adapter

    Hello All,
    Am using a SOAP sender adapter and want to use the data inside the SOAP Header for some routing purpose(extended receiver determination). Any SOAP message coming into XI will look something like below. But XI will pass the contents of <SOAP-ENV:Body> to Payload and <SOAP-ENV:Header> to the SOAP Header category you can see that in SXMB_MONI.
    Is there a way to read the data in my SOAP Header to be later used in my extended receiver determination.

    Hello,
    but they were not getting any response back from XI and the sending system kept resending the message.. may be it was acting like a HTTP post.
    The method that is used by the native SOAP Adapter is always HTTP Post. Not sure why you are not getting a response, have you checked the outbound firewall of the sending party or the inbound firewall of XI? To which SOAP URL are you sending to?
    Hope this helps,

  • HTTP 415 Unsupported Media Type with SOAP adapter trying to put SOAP header

    Hello,
    I am trying to put data into soap header using soap receiver adapter. Seems like building the complete soap message is the right way to go. Thus I wrote a java program to build the complete soap message (soap envelop, soap header and soap body which contains the message PI received from the sender). Mapping program works well. However when I ran the scenario, I got Error "SOAP: response message contains an error XIAdapter/HTTP/ADAPTER.HTTP_EXCEPTION - HTTP 415 Unsupported Media Type" when calling the receiver's web service (the SOAP receiver adapter CC have the "Do Not use SOAP Envelop" checked). Anyone knows why I got this error? From google, seems like this error is because the http's content-type is set to other type, rather than "text/xml". However in soap CC there is no option to control this.
    The message sent to the receiver is (after mapping);
    <SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
    <SOAP-ENV:Header>
    <SOAP-SEC:Signature xmlns:SOAP-SEC="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/security/2000-12" MyAttr="value">My Test Value</SOAP-SEC:Signature>
    </SOAP-ENV:Header>
    <SOAP-ENV:Body>
    <ns1:UpdateEquipment xmlns:ns1="http://mycomp.com/mywebservice">
    <ns1:EquipmentNumber>000000012345</ns1:EquipmentNumber>
    <ns1:LicensePlate>654321</ns1:LicensePlate>
    </ns1:UpdateEquipment>
    </SOAP-ENV:Body>
    </SOAP-ENV:Envelope>
    Anyone can help?
    Thanks

    When you check "Do Not use SOAP Envelop", the SOAP adapter chooses application/xml instead of text/xml.
    You can change the content type with help of the MessageTransformBean. You put the bean in the module chain of the receiver channel and add the parameter Transform.ContentType = text/xml

  • Sender SOAP adapter: access Header fields (dont use envelope and nosoap=1)

    Hi,
    I've just been going through various blogs regarding the SOAP adapter and receiving the actual unconverted content being sent to xi. Trying this out I dont get the exptected result.
    What I have done is simply created a web service in XI - added '&nosoap=true' to the url and set the flag in 'Do not use SOAP envelope'.
    After this I send synchronous message via xmlspy and receive error 'XIServer:CANNOT_READ_PAYLOAD'.
    When checking data received in MDT I only see the envelope containing my additional header info (provided in the request) + some XI headers + a body. The body however pretty much only contain a manifest. The actual payload data that I sent in my request a gone (hence the error message).
    When looking i SXMB_MONI i (naturally) also only see the header and body info - no payload. So when mapping step is reached it complains.
    I'm aware I should use mapping like xslt/java to map the message. But first I need to see the payload.
    Anybody got any clues?
    For information I'm running 2004 SP 19.
    Best Regards,
    Daniel

    Hi,
    This is not a matter of logging or trace levels - all these thing a set as needed.
    I do see the messages but I don't see the actual payload (the body-part sent with my request) in neither the AFW or IE.

  • How  Sender SOAP Adapter will retriew the data  to process further

    How  Sender SOAP Adapter will  receive the data  to send the integration server to process further

    Hi,
    1. All details are always taken from the Sender Agreement.
    For the Sender File adapter and the Sender SOAP adapter , the details that include are , Sender Service, Sender Interface Name and namespace and these are the details that make up the SOAP header when the message hits the integration Engine.
    Once the corresponding Adapter for the message is identified, ie. the Sender SOAP adapter , the message for the SOAP header is then taken from the Sender Agreement of that adapter. This is the exact reason why one Sender Adapter can be involved in one and only one Sender Agreement.

  • Can ws CC handle soap header data?

    Hello Expert,
    as we know for most of the PI adapters, there is a checkbox Adapter-Specific Attributes which could be used to handle/process protocol's header data. However for ws adapter (PI7.1) this checkbox is not available. Does that mean if certain data is provided in the soap header, PI ws adapter/CC will not be able to retrieve it and process it?
    Please advise.
    Thanks
    Jayson

    Hey Jayson,
    It seems that WS adapter does have a place for the adapter specific attribute setting. I dont have access to the PI system right now... so cant exactly point the exact position for ASA in CC

  • JMS Adapter setting the header data of MQ message

    Hi All,
    I need to set the properties in JMS adapter for setting the header data of MQ message.
    JMS_IBM_MQMD_Format = MQFMT_NONE.
    Thanks in advance
    Ravijeet

    Hi All,
    I am stuck in a typical XI issue.......I have a scenario where my input to XI is IDoc and output is xml message going to IBM MQ.
    The IDoc is sending some chineese character which is fine is SXMB_MONI Integration server and also fine in the payload of message monitoring, so feel the message is going fine from XI to MQ.
    But the receiver EDI system which is picking the message from MQ queue says the chinese characters are getting corrupted. They say that you need to set the additional properties in MQ header data
    JMS_IBM_MQMD_Format = MQFMT_NONE.
    How do I do this in communication channel for jms adapter ? How to I set the MQ header data in jms communication channel ?
    Thanks in advance

  • HTTP Header fields in SOAP adapter - Part 2

    Hi All,
    With regards to my previous thread HTTP Header fields in SOAP adapter
    my header issue is solved and hence I have closed the thread but still I am not able to make the connection successful. The new problem is below
    My vendor requirement is to specify the header as "Ent-sender" but when we give the same in XI in communication channel it automatically convets into uppercase "ENT-SENDER".  Due to case-sensitive in vendor server the connection is not gettingestablished.
    Please help me out how to solve the problem.
    <b>Note:</b> Sorry for the new thread as it was created due to new problem and also the previuos thread is already too long.
    Regards,
    Dhill

    Hi Neaves,
      Thank you, I jave seen the note and find the below solution will be some what realated to my prblem.
    <u><b>The nosoap mode lets the adapter send the XI payload directly without wrapping it in the SOAP envelope. Although the main use of this mode is to send some plain text content directly to some web server, one can use this mode to send their own SOAP message (e.g., with arbitrary headers) to an external web service (See related questions). In this case, the XI payload must be formatted in the SOAP envelope.
               To use the nosoap mode, the channel must be configured to use no SOAP envelope.</b></u>
    If yes, can you please let me know how to use nosoap mode otherise let me the other possibilities.  I am already using tcpg2.zip to trace the SOAP adapter in which it was confirmed that XI is changing the header automatically into CAPS whatever case we give,

  • How to remove header data from JMS Queue while sending by jms adapter

    Hi.
    I have a problem regarding the MQ-series JMS adapter.
    When writing the file the JMS adaptor putting  some additional tags.
    Actually we are converting idoc-xml to flat file by using ABAP mapping which is available in SAP document. We are using JMS Receiver adapter, whiel sending flat file to JMS QUEUE,  it is displaying some extra xml tags. I think this is the header data available in IDoc XML. Can any body help me in removing header data.
    There must be some way for XI's JMS adaptor to not include these information.
    My example looks like this:
    RFH Ø
    ¸MQSTR
    ¸ " is junk that I really dont need in the file.
    How can you setup the JMS adaptor not to put in these information?

    My plan is that send data from Receiver adapter, to Sender adapter by SOAP.

    I checked the error, and Now I know what is the cause.
