SOAP messenging from oracle

hi
does anyone know whether the XDK for oracle will provide me with all functionality (for xml etc) which is available in 9i?
the reason I ask is that I need to send/recieve SOAP messages with 8.1.7, and the only documentation / examples I can find only refer to 9i.
if anyone has achieved this or knows it's possible then I'd appreciate a reply.

No, as far as i know there is no built in SOAP Support coming with the xdk. And there is no SOAP Support in the core Database 9 i R2. You have to buy the OAS to
have any soap support.

Dont know much about "soap messages" but if it is a part of your database and you want to send them to some other database then you can use oracle streams for that. Streams will give you best control to transfer "multiple rows" from one server to another.

Issue in invoking the BPEL process from Oracle using a SOAP Request

Hi,
We are facing an issue while invoking a deployed Bpel Process from Oracle Applications 11.5.10..
Using a concurrent program( Unix / Host program ) we are passing the input variables required for the Bpel process in the ProcessRequest tags and forming this as a SOAP message payload.
Then trying to invoke the deployed bpel process using the end point location using HTTP POST..but nothing is happening..
The bpel process is not getting invoked when i look at the Console and also checked for the Manual Recovery queue..it's not stuck there as well..
Have set the Transfer Time Out to 25 minutes using UTL_HTTP.SET_TRANSFER_TIMEOUT(1500);
Could someone please help us as soon as possible with this ..as this is critical and we are stuck at the moment.

How to download a file from Oracle UCM using OSB

How can I download a file from Oracle UCM and save it on a filesystem using OSB 11.1.1.5.

UCM supplies webservice interfaces which let you retrieve the filecontent by soap calls from UCM (http://ucmhost/_dav/cs/idcplg for example). (maybe you should enable some settings on ucm to have this webservice interface getting published).
This services for example has 2 operations getFileByID and getFileByName.
So you can just call these services from within OSB.
After that you need to do some tests if you eitherway need to create a file-transport business-service and call this one from your proxy service or create a messageType proxyservice (binary) which calls this file-transport business service to be able to write fo filesystem.
I think for the OSB book i used a jca file adapter generated in Jdeveloper and used that one to write to filesystem.

How to call a BPEL process from Oracle Apps Java Concurrent program

I need to trigger a BPEL process from Oracle Apps. Can anybody tell me how to do that? I have two triggering option--
1. On button click from a Form 6i screen
2. Using Java Concurrent program.

I am not sure how concurrent program works, but may be one of the way might work out, let me know if Java Concurrent Program works a bit different way
- [if async] Through concurrent program, you can insert message token to db or aq, and BPEL can be instantiated from there
or
- If it supports pure java call, then you can look at multiple documents (e.g. http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/ias/bpel/pdf/orabpel-Tutorial7-InvokingBPELProcesses.pdf) to invoke your process
- You can also use oracle db utility to invoke soap operation and get the result back

I need to call an external webservice from oracle db... but this web service does not support "SOAP with attachments" and its specification says that we have to develop a J2EE proxy client to access this web service, this still could be done in a stored procedure, loading jdeveloper generated code in java?, I know that with Jdeveloper I can generate a 'web service stub/skeleton' but how make this stub accesible from oracle with PL/SQL? is this possible?

Calling SOAP Request from XML Spy

I have published PLSQL web service at Oracle 10g AS.
The web service runs at http://localhost:7201/reqProcess with processRequest as method being exposed.
This web service takes the string as input and return XMLTYPE as out parameter.
Now When I am trying to pass SOAP XML from XMLSPY to above url I am getting folloing errors.
1) I get http error: couldnot post the file /reqProcess/ on server 'localhost' (500)

My requirement ...
1) PLSQL as web service : I succesffuly deployed PLSQL Procedure as Web service at 10 10g. The PLSQL takes string (CLOB) as input convert that into XML and store in table and return XMLTYPE as output.
When I am accesing PLSQL WS using browser I am able to send string (basically XML format) as a input and able to receive the result back (SOAP envelop)
2)WS Invocation : After PLSQL WS published I need to pass the SOAP XML which is generated from XYX wsdl file to the PLSQL WS published above. For this req I was using XML Spy to test this. (In actual the clinet will be Sieble that will send SOAP XML to PLSQL WS).
Initially I was generating the SOAP XML from XYZ.wsdl and was directly sending that to PLSQL URL. I was getting error as I described initially.
Next I tried to generate the SOAP request from the PLSQL WS wsdl file and inside the parameter I am sending the SOAP XML as string to the IN paramater of PLSQL WS. This time I am getting some different errors. The first error is same as http error: couldnot post the file /balprocess/balprocess/operation?processRequest on server 'localhost' (500)
and second error is SOAP fault as follows

Missing attributes in soap generated from wsdl schema

I've generated java control (jcx) from a wsdl and now I'm trying to send a soap message using a generated test jws file.

when I am adding test xml like this I am loosing my attributes.
NB If the element has a child element (and thus a complexContent) attributes are not disappearing!

I got some answer from oracle support. But also new questions arise.
the fact that the message is not what I expecdt is since its not "XML" but "XOP".
Which indeed can be seen in the Content-Type.
I wonder if anyone makes use of this functionality of DRM. If so, please explain which wsdl you are requesting info from.
I just read that the "http://DRM-SERVER_IIS:5240/oracle/drm/apiadapter?wsdl" url (IIS) is only for internal application use.
So it seems that we have to talk to the webservice on the url: http://DRM-SERVER-weblogic:port/oracle-epm-drm-webservices/DrmService?wsdl URL.

Calling Web Service passing xml from Oracle Forms

Hello,
I need to call a .net web service from Oracle Forms that passes in xml data and returns xml data.
I have seen several examples of how to create a wrapper in jdev and then to import the code
into forms. I just have not seen any examples that are passing parmameters especially not xml
as a parameter and that have an active wsdl that I can see how it relates to the code created.
I have a wrapper but cannot figure out where and what notation to use to include passing in
an xml object.
Does anyone have an example passing in xml where the wsdl is still available to see?'
Forms version 10.1.2.0.2. Jdev 10.1.3.4

Also here you have several options...
1. you can make a PJC (bean) which include a webservice stub generated with axis (you can make a stub and also test a webservice with this tool: www.soapui.org)..
2. you can make a database webservice with JPublisher and then just call a pl/sql wrapper for this webservice
4. you can call a webservice with java api (HttpsURLConnection, HttpURLConnection or with apache HTTPClient api) from your PJC for example:

How to send SOAP Message with Oracle B2B

Hi everyone,
I need your help to send out from Oracle B2B a SOAP message with attachment of any type of file (image, pdf, etc.). Possibly using a SOA composite application or another way, it doesn't matter. I already create an ebMS partnership with a custom document protocol and I already create a working SOA composite application to send only text message to my trading partner. I have tried this solution: http://anuj-dwivedi.blogspot.it/2011/04/ebms-attachment-handling-in-oracle-b2b.html but it doesn't work for my case... It is to be noticed that I don't give any schema to my component in the SOA application explained firstly, and I select opaque as schema.

The code works fine on the other trading partner side to send ebXML message to Oracle B2B. Apart from this solution (however,it would be my favorite), I find your blog and I try to implement your solution. It works: it sends files with only text payload to the other trading partner without any problem, but if I try to send for example an image in byte array written in a file .txt, the ebxml file received has the byte array with wrong characters. it may be that I have not provided the xsd schema? in case if I wanted to send an ebXML message with text and attachments, what xsd schema do I need to provide?
or is there another way to implement a SOA composite application to send SOAP messages with attachments?

i write a class to call SOAP message from a servlet on jdev 1013
when i run the class alone it works fine
