SOAP------ PROXY--ASYNCHRONUS communication

iam working on SOAP-> Proxy (asynchronus) scenario, my requirement is send change master data from client system to SAP via PI, once the data is updated in SAP, need to sendback the status/eror messages , here the iam using the same XML structure for input and output,
can you please explain in details, what are steps need in developed in design and configuration.
Thanks for your time

Hi Neeru,
Using the message ID and the CL_PROXY_ACCESS=>GET_ACKNOWLEDGMENT( [Message ID] ) method you can get and evaluate the acknowledgment object.
Using the acknowledgment object you can query whether acknowledgments were received.

  • Timeout in synchronous SOAP-Proxy communication

    Hi,
    I have a synchronous SOAP-Proxy communication (3rd party - XI - ERP). 3rd party is always the initiator of the communication.
    Is there a general rule about who should set a timeout? Does it should be set by a 3rd party, XI, or ERP? In our scenario it shouldn't be longer than 30 seconds.
    If it needs to be set on SAP side, where it should be defined? On XI or on ERP, or on both systems?
    Which SAP parameter is used for setting the timeout for synchronous communication that does not affect other already working ways of communication, like asynchronous.
    Thanks for answers.
    Janos

    Hi,
    The timeout property needs to be set at XI level. For SOAP sender timeout check sap note no. 856597 which reads as  The default timeout value for synchronous calls is 5 minutes. You can increase this value by setting parameter XI.Timeout in the module parameter table of the SOAP adapter. The value must be given in milliseconds. For example, value 600000 represents the timeout value of 10 minutes. This parameter is not recognized in systems prior to SP13.
    Thanks!

  • Alert in synchronous SOAP- PROXY scenario

    Hi,
    I am woking on a synchronous  SOAP- PROXY scenario. The XI outbound interface has been exposed as web service which is invoked  by .NET application to send the request. The inbound interface is ABAP proxy which is retrieving the data from R3 tables based on the selection criteria in request and sending back the same as response. Now it is required to send an alert to the specified recipient in case there is any application error on the receiver side.

  • SOAP proxy for RESTful business service

    Hi,
    I have a requirement to consume a 3rd-party RESTful web service from within WebLogic Integration 9.2.3.
    My organisation also has an OSB 10.3 installation which is lucky since WLI 9.2.3 does not readily support RESTful service consumption.
    My plan is therefore to proxy the RESTful service via the OSB with a SOAP proxy service and consume the proxy from WLI.
    Can anyone provide guidance on how I might go about this?
    Cheers,
    Rob

    I want to give it a try :)
    1. Create a business service with the 3rd-party RESTful web service WSDL and point it to the URL where it is currently deployed/hosted.
    2. Create a Proxy Service to invoke the 3rd-party RESTful web service via the business service. (I think you will need to define a simple WSDL to be able to use this service from WLI)
    3. Then import the ProxyService WSDL in WLI and invoke the same via the WebServiceControl.
    I hope this works out well for you.
    Thanks,
    Patrick.

  • Passing attachment from a SOAP Proxy to a REST Business Service

    I am trying to create a SOAP proxy for a REST service on OSB 10g. I have to send a binary attachment as part of my SOAP request. I tried to use Service Callout to call my REST business service. Even though I receive the attachment as part of the request (I could log $attachments and see it), it is not being sent to the Business Service. I would appreciate any help. Thanks.
    Ardi

    OK, here is what I found out. I was using service callout to invoke the REST BS which does not seem to work, which I have not understood why?
    If I change to Routing to the invoke the BS I could pass the attachment and get it to work. I would appreciate any thoughts on the Service Callout issue.
    Thanks,

    Hi Senthil,
    Try with the authentication preemtive. Also, check your URL because that error seems that you are accessing to wrong PI section or your user has not the enough credentials, try with PIAPPLUSER or with the same roles that this user.

  • SOAP- Proxy scenario, issue with WS adapter

    Hi guys,
    i've set up a soap->abap proxy scenario (on 7.1) and want to use the new WS adapter. unfortunately I'm facing some issues. The proxy has been generated properly and I also set it up in soamanager. I tested it from XML Spy and it works fine. So there shouldn't be any problem with it.

  • Soap-proxy interface

    Hi Experts.
    I have an scenrio, i need to design the two interaces, first one is synchronus interface , it get the request from user (wsdl) and post the data in sap (using proxy) , once the data is arrived in sap, an ackownledgement ( error/ status) sent back to user,
    the second asynchronus interface is to send the response ( to the request sent from first interface) back to the client system
    ( proxy--> soap used)
    my query is how can the  the second interface is triggered in runtime, if i  write the code in report (proxy), do i need to schedule the background job ?
    please explain indetails
    Thanks
    NV

    Hello,
    I have an scenrio, i need to design the two interaces, first one is synchronus interface , it get the request from user (wsdl) and post the data in sap (using proxy) , once the data is arrived in sap, an ackownledgement ( error/ status) sent back to user,
    Receiving any type of response in a synchronous scenario is already an acknowledgement in itself, so no need to do anything additional here aside from configuring a normal synch scenario.
    the second asynchronus interface is to send the response ( to the request sent from first interface) back to the client system
    ( proxy--> soap used)
    my query is how can the the second interface is triggered in runtime, if i write the code in report (proxy), do i need to schedule the background job ?
    Once you have received the response from the first proxy, use its response as your input to the second proxy. No need to schedule a background job because it will be executed as soon as you receive a response from first proxy.
    Hope this helps,
    Mark

  • Proxy receiver communication channel

    Hi Experts,
    When I am executing an interface in XI, I am getting the message in SXMB_MONI.
    <SAP:Stack>Unable to create HTTP client (exception 1)</SAP:Stack>
    The receiver is Proxy here. Where can I get the service number of R/3 system to enter in the XI receiver communication channel and what's the significance of this? I am using Proxy receiver adapter with URL address connection. I have given 8000 as the service number. Not sure whether this is right. What is the path prefix?
    In the SXMB_ADM, do I need to maintain some parameters for proxy?
    Thanks
    Ricky

    I did give the Service number of R/3. My R/3 uname and password for login
    But I am getting the message in MONI "HTTP response contains status code 401 with the description User not authorized for message processing Authorization error when sending using HTTP (error code: 401, error text: User not authorized for message processing". Pls help to sort this out
    Thanks

  • SOAP - Proxy Scenario

    In my SOAP to Proxy scenario I have a proxy that will return "true" or "false" depending on the logic in my method.  When I execute the proxy it returns the false value for cases that are false in SAP.  The scenario does not return the "true" value when the logic is true in SAP.  If I go into SAP and run the method, both the true and the false logic paths work and the method returns the correct value.  If I hard code the variable in the method to "test" and execute the XI scenario it will return the word "test" for both cases, true and false.  I have the same scenario in my XIQ system and it works fine.
    So, what I have done...
    I have flushed the cache, that did not work.
    I have rebooted my XI system that has the problem.
    I have compared my XI broken system with the one that is working and there are no differences.
    Does anyone know how I can see what is truely being sent back to the SOAP side?  Is there a way to debug the ABAP code from the XI / SOAP side?
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Skip Ford

    Hi Ford
    When you try with SAP its working right. Did you see that response in XI. If not then no need to touch XI.
    Take the payload and try to debug the proxy. You will come to know if it really returns the true value or there is a data issue itself and no problem with XI and SAP.
    Check in XI mapping as well. if the value from source is moving to target or not. If you make any changes or found problem do regenerate and activate proxy.
    Thanks
    Gaurav

  • Invalid content type for SOAP: TEXT/HTML:communication channel modification

    Hello ,
    While delivering an async message from XI to thirdparty, getting an error 'invalid content type for SOAP: TEXT/HTML' in the RWB/adapter engine
    I need to modify Module tab for MessageTransformBean / content type as text/html.
    Can anyone tell me how to do this in SOAP communication channel?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
    Thanks for ur help...
    I've tested with soapUI and it is working fine. When I send the data from soapUI , it is reaching to third party and I get response as 'success' So the url is also fine.
    The same data when XI is sending it is throwing an error.
    One more thing here -- The XI server is in intranet and TP is in DMZ .... there is a firewall in between them...
    1. When I execute thr soapUI (from intranet) it is reaching to TP (DMZ)
    2. When I execute thr XI (intranet) its throwing an error.
    Is this because of firewall settings ?
    Thanks..

  • Soap proxy to jms business service response not available.

    Hi
    Please can anyone help me with this really urgent, help is greatly appreciated.
    We have one Proxy Service which takes in SOAP Request, and I have a route node in it which calls the biz service.
    Business service is a Messaging service built using jms queue and response URI is configured with jms out queue.
    If I run business service standalone it gets the message and response comes to out queue.
    if I run it through proxy service which routes to biz service, the message goes to biz service, and response goes to out queue, but I do not get response in http proxy.
    Please can someone help.
    thanks
    K.

    Basically the logic to consume msg requires full SOAP message as text, now when I use BS as Messaging Service it works fine because in test I put the full soap message as text. If I run it through Proxy it strips the header and sends only Body or if I base both my BS and PS using WSDL, then it attaches full soap message in multiple soap header and that causes the problem, so I have to remove extra header from message to have it processed correctly.
    this is my actual request:
    <SOAP-ENV:Envelope      xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
    <SOAP-ENV:Body>
    </SOAP-ENV:Body>
    </SOAP-ENV:Envelope>
    the trace shows that request to BS is:
    <soapenv:Body      xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
    <SOAP-ENV:Envelope      xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
    <SOAP-ENV:Body>
    /SOAP-ENV:Body>
    </SOAP-ENV:Envelope>
    </soapenv:Body>
    so my message consumer has problem with extra soapenv:Body wrapper... any ideas will help.
    thanks
    K.

  • PROXY SERVER COMMUNICATION

    I need some clarification on Proxy Server. When you configure internet browser like IE or Firefox to use Proxy server for communication (for all the protocols includng HTTP/FTP/GOPHER etc) does it uses the same port for all the communication? If so is it possible to restrict network access at the proxy server? Lets say I want some users to have only web access and some FTP. Is it possible with this kind of setup?
    Thanks

    FTP goes through as FTP only...no HTTP at all.
    Which type FTP is allowed by default depends on each individual proxy server (ISA,Squid,BlueCoat etc.). If its not allowed by default than special handling needs to be done. For example on Microsoft ISA, you have to make some rules to allow both types of FTP.
    There is no 'general rule' here. You really have to test it out or refer to the documentation of the proxy vendor.
