SOAP Sender replacing file sender

Hi All,
I had a working file -> RFC scenario.
The sending system was upgraded and it can send WS now.
I created a SOAP sender and changed the sender agreement accordingly.
I can see the message in the SXNB_MONI but it is stuck in the "Message Split According to Receiver List" section with no error.
The payload looks ok.
The status of the message stays an empty circle, it doesn't turn into any of the signs.
in the adapter log I get the following error:
com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: Received HTTP response code 500 : Internal Server Error
any ideas?

Couple of suggestions... Dont know how do you test??
a) Create WSDL and import in soap UI or xmlspy and test it and see what do you get? Still looks like some issue.
b) Go to ID and do configuration test. I want you to make sure visit all the ID objects and see the changes made are sync with all ID objects.

Hope that helps

Does Adobe Send replace Adobe Send Now and if so, is it only available on a subscription (fee) basis? Adobe Send Now was free; I was never charged for the service.

Dear Sir or Madam at Adobe:
Does "Adobe Send" replace "Adobe Send Now" and if so, is there a charge for it? I was never charged for using Adobe Send Now. I cannot get Adobe Send to work for me; I can upload the file from my computer but when I click the box to send a "personalized link" a message box drops down asking me to upgrade. When I say no thanks, the message disappears but the box click does nothing. Do I have to subscribe to Adobe Send and pay a monthly fee for it before I can use it? Please explain what change has been made and what is going on with this program/service. Thank you. Paul Madsen 763-781-9118 [email protected]

• Send and File/Send and Move

There was a post on this about a year ago, but never a resolution. Entourage has a "Send and File" command, but Apple's Mail lacks the equivalent. I do like Mail, but I hate the lack of this feature. I just spent hours on an airplane going through my Sent folder to file old messages. It would be so much easier if Mail had a Send and Move command that would make the message appear in the correct folder and not the Sent folder/mbox.
It would be great if someone from Apple would weigh in on this issue in this forum. Since I doubt that's going to happen, does anyone know of a script that changes Mail to accomplish the same thing? I've searched and searched and can find nothing.
Perhaps someone can motivate some developer to create such a script?

Kappy wrote:
First, no one from Apple "weighs in" on the forums to discuss matters. The forums are user-to-user and Apple just pays the cost of maintaining them. If you want to file a feature request do so here - Feedback. Note that you will not likely receive any response.
Yes, I'm aware of that. Hence my comment that I didn't expect anyone from Apple to weigh in. And yes, I have also submitted feedback on this issue. My posting here was more to find out if anyone in the user community knew of a Send and File script, utility, hack, or other solution.
Mail rules currently only work on incoming mail. You can write Applescripts to perform operations not performed by those built into the rules editor. However, Mail will not automatically run these scripts for you. If you want these features you will need to switch to Entourage.
Of course, since I switched from Entourage, it's not likely that I would want to switch BACK to Entourage. Never liked the single consolidated database file of Entourage.
You can use Smart Mailboxes to aggregate messages based on certain criteria. Smart Mailboxes do not actually move mail but rather creates a folder that lists only those items that meet your search criteria. The actual items remain where they are normally filed. You can replace your "real" mailboxes you use for filing with Smart Mailboxes if you prefer.
Unfortunately, that really doesn't accomplish what I'm hoping for. Thanks for the suggestions though!

• Send a file usring SOAP adapter

Can I send a file using SOAP adapter on the sender side.
reg,

Henrique Pinto,
I am trying something out. The scenario I am trying would be a very small but imp part of a bigger business requirement.
I am trying out different options to show the clinet.
1.Started XMLSPY and selected, SOAP>Create new SOAP request>
Now u r asked to browse for the wsdl....DONE. Clicked on OK
Now the request created as an xml file.
2.Go to SOAP> Send SOAP request > there is a new xml file which is the response.
I did not get any errors. I see a file in the target directory.
My problem is where it would really be picking up the data.
WSDL has only referrence to the definition of the message type
(in the definition of O/B interface )
As you have already mentioned that in XI, message type should be refering to file message. If this is the case, how would I incorporate the data in that message.
I hope I am clear.

• How to Sender PDF file as attachment in Payload?

Hi Experts,
After I done some of PI scenarios, I'm stuck with one of my requirement... In requirement, "Web service" will send request to "SAP ECC 6" in order to get PO document print out in PDF file by call smartform or any form printing as usual.
In my understand, I'm using SOAP adapter as sender and RFC adapter in receiver side, in RFC function, I will call form and generate PDF file by using normal ABAP function, but here, how can I send PDF file as response message of SYNC call from web service.
I try to search and read some of document and blog, some said I can attach file as Payload attachment, but no clear solution or guide to do so.
Here is example blog that I found, I really useful
/people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2006/04/19/xi-rfc-or-abap-proxy-abap-proxies-with-attachments
Please suggest me in my case,
Thanks in advance...

as per my blog you can attach PDF to a message only if you use abap proxy on ECC and not RFC
the code is just copy and paste from my blog:
/people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2006/04/19/xi-rfc-or-abap-proxy-abap-proxies-with-attachments

• SAP PI Table which stores Dynamicconfiguration(filename) for file sender

Hello All,
What is the SAP PI table in which SOAP header elements are getting stored. In my scenario, i need to find out the message ID for a specific file name which is picked by file sender, as file name is stored under Dynamicconfiguration of SOAP header node...
Regards,
Sreenivas.

Hi Sreenivas,
I am not sure if I have understood your requirement correctly but can't you achieve this using a UDF:
String headerField;
java.util.Map map;
AbstractTrace trace=container.getTrace();
map = container.getTransformationParameters();
String key = "MessageId";
headerField = (String) map.get(key);
return headerField;
Let us know.

• Attachment of original message in file sender adapter content conversion

Hi,
does anybody know how I can configure a file sender communication channel (with content conversion) so that the original file is added to the XI SOAP message as attachment? Maybe this is just a parameter in "Advanced" tab. (The content conversion itself is not an issue.)
The result should be the "Main Document" (XML-message) and the "original document" as two attachments in the SOAP payload.
The reason for this is that the original file should be archived with the XML message as it was before the XML content conversion of the file sender adapter took place.
Thanks,
Philipp

original file is added to the XI SOAP message as attachment?
The "Advanced" tab -> additional files added in file adapter should act as the attachment to soap receiver adapter if u select the "Keep Attachments" option in soap receiver communication channel.
What do u want to do in FCC is a bit unclear?

On File Sender adapter, it has an error, like this "ERROR: Finished sending to Integration Engine with error u201Cjava.io.IOException: invalid content type for SOAP: TEXT/HTML; HTTP 404 Not Foundu201D. Skip confirmation and quit this loop"

The URL of the Integration Server is wrong or you cannot access the server from the host, where the J2SE adapter is running:
XI.TargetURL=http://host:50200/sap/xi/engine?type=entry
If the Client of the Integration Server is not 000, then you have also to add that line:
XI.Client=XXX

• File Sender Scenario - Mapping error message

Hi All
Scenario
I am trying to develop a test scenario where a record is read from the file and sent to R/3 using RFC (Bapi)
So i believe this will involve a file adapter as sender and a RFC adapter as receiver, I have configured data types, message types, message mapping, interface mappings, sender determination, receiver determination etc.
Problem
When i put the text file in the polling directory the file is read, but there is an error,
On checking Processed XML message in SXMB_MONI I see that the following steps listed
1 - Inbound message (CENTRAL)
2 - Receiver Determination
3 - Interface Determination
4 - Receiver Grouping
5 - Message Branch According to Receiver
6 - Request Message Mapping
7 - Request Message Mapping
Step 1 - 6 does not show any error message, step 7 has an error with the following message
<SAP:Category>Application</SAP:Category>
<SAP:Code area="MAPPING">EXCEPTION_DURING_EXECUTE</SAP:Code>
<SAP:P1>com/sap/xi/tf/_MM_basic_paycreate_file_to_rfc_map~</SAP:P1>

<SAP:P3>Fatal Error: com.sap.engine.lib.xml.parser.Parser~</SAP:P3>
Additional Information
My Business System Commnication channel has a Sender File adapter, this file sender is configured to read from file system from a certain directory and message protocol is File Content Conversion.
In Content Conversion parameters input fieldname and input separator are configured (does anything else need to be configured in this section?)
My input file is of the structure aaa,bbb,ccc,ddd,eee,fff,ggg
My Data Type is of the structure
<data header>
<aaa></aaa>
<bbb></bbb>
<ccc></ccc>
<ddd></ddd>
<branch1>
<eee></eee>

</branch2>
<branch3>
<ggg></ggg>
</branch3>
</data header>
Questions
First question is why is there 2 instance of Request message mapping showing up in the monitor? Isn't this supposed to show up only once?
Second question it appears that the problem is something to do with Mapping (Message Mapping) but i tried to test the message mapping manually using the data generated in the payload and it passes the mapping successfully.
Third question, how is the input flat file converted to the complex structure of data type (as mentioned in additional information above) is this done by the input.filedNames that assigns the corresponding values from flat file to the data type?
Fourth question - is there a way to run the process step by process (as a step through in other programming IDEs?) so the problem can be more easily identified?
Thanks
Anant

Hi All
I little update - it appears that some of the scenarios developed earlier that were working earlier are now also failing at the same process of mapping with this error message.
So i am suspecting that this is not a problem with the mappings in my scenarios but rather a some technical setting related to how XI invokes this class - com.sap.aii.utilxi.misc.api.BaseRuntimeException.
Does any one have any ideas what i can check to confirm this? Whether the problem is in the technical setting or the scenario configuration?
thanks

You can use mime encoding inside your SOAP request, something like this:

<soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"
xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
<soap:Body>

</file>
</data>
</soap:Body>
</soap:Envelope>This can even be accomplished from within Pl/Sql. Otherwise you can use the WS-Attachment feature which is (I think) not yet supported by Oracle.

• FILE sender, error mapping

Hello,
I've FILE to RFC interface.

Should I require that you send the file to include this sentence?
thanks very much,

Hi Sakthi,
This is basically for your namspace if you not required
If you don't required <ns0:FICHERO xmlns:ns0="http://Pedidos"> tag in the xml while mapping so replace your namesapce from the message type both sender and receiver if required.
Message Type -- > XML Namespace (remove your namesapce under their) and activate.
Check your source and target structure, the following tag <ns0:FICHERO xmlns:ns0="http://Pedidos"> should not be there.

• XI File Sender CC, CDATA Sections

Hello all,
i configured a File Sender CC with content conversion but the
integration engine gives me a parser exception because there are characters in the file which are not allowed for a field without CDATA section. Can i configure somewhere that for the content conversion CDATA sections are used ?
Thx !
Andreas

Hi Andreas,
Yes as the XML parser does not understand "'" char in the FIELD1 string, it gives the following errore. So to do that you need to put the following in CDATA, as the XML parser ignores anuting between CDATA.
To acheive CDATA you need to implement XSLT mapping.
Check out this link: <a href="/people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/11/01/xi-xml-node-into-a-string-with-graphical-mapping Mapping
The code mentioned below is relevant to the example in the blog:
Pls follow the following steps to insert XML string into a single element:
Create a xsl file with the following data:

<xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" NSpace>
<xsl:template match="/">
<namespace:name1>
<xsl:text disable-output-escaping="yes"></xsl:text><xsl:copy-of select="//namespace:name"/><xsl:text disable-output-escaping="yes">]]</xsl:text><xsl:text disable-output-escaping="yes">></xsl:text>
</namespace:name1>
</xsl:template>
</xsl:stylesheet>
In the above code I have removed xmlns:p2="http://frik.bcc.com.pl" which is not needed.
Also you have to put '//' before the target element from where you want to start creating XML string over here it is name. And name1 is the element you want to store the XML string in.
So anything in the element name will be stored in name1
Regarding the namespace: To find out the namespace test your message mapping between the source and the target without adding XSLT mapping. After testing click on 'SCR' tab present on top of the target window. There you will see ns1: or ns2: attached to each element. Replace namespace in the above code with ns1: or ns2:. And replace NSpace in the above XSL Header with the namespace in the SCR of test map.
So the final XSL file will look like that:

<xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" xmlns:ns1="http://sap.com/xi/HR">
<xsl:template match="/">
<ns1:name1>
<xsl:text disable-output-escaping="yes"></xsl:text><xsl:copy-of select="//ns1:name"/><xsl:text disable-output-escaping="yes">]]</xsl:text><xsl:text disable-output-escaping="yes">></xsl:text>
</ns1:name1>
</xsl:template>
</xsl:stylesheet>
Dont forget to put '//' before the target element.
This should work. Or pls put the source and target xml struct and we will assist you further.
Regards,
Ashish
