SOAP Webservice Security Issue

Hello,
I was able to implement a SOAP Client at my local machine successfully.
When i upload the SOAP client to server and run, i got the following error message.
Exception in thread "main" javax.xml.ws.soap.SOAPFaultException: An error occurred when verifying security for the message.
at com.sun.xml.internal.ws.fault.SOAP11Fault.getProtocolException(SOAP11Fault.java:178)

at $Proxy29.getGLClassRates(Unknown Source)
at proxy.TestProxy.main(TestProxy.java:32)
I checked authentication credentials but there is no problem with that.
Its HTTPS service and when i create client at local machine it asked me to accept certificate.
I have cerated SOAP client using JAVA6, Apache Tomcat6.0.16 and METRO 1.4 library. Server has Apache Tomcat/6.0.26.
Please help me.
Thanks.

I was trying to find out the cause of this error and i find out that if i use METRO library it runs successfully but when i use JAX-WS 2.1 i got the same error on local machine also.
I have also uploaded METRO library to server under WEB-INF/lib folder.
Any Idea? how to solve this error?
Thanks

  • PI to SOAP webservice performace issue

    Dear All,
    I have seen message expired error/no response error from one of IDOC--> PI--> SOAP Webservice sceanrio when PI have sending bulk of messages request to SOAP webserver at a time.
    This scenario has already implemented using BPM because of complexity/ synchronous communcations.
    According my research multiple IDOC's were triggred from SAP system at the same time/some seconds difference, when PI received these IDOC's and processing to SOAP webservice immediately when bulk of messages contact the same time and/or may be same data processing in Webservice and giving the no response/ message expired exception and currently synchronous time set to 5 min but no useful.
    Can I know how to process the message one after another when PI contacting the SOAP adapter,
    Is their any possible to implement SOAP look up/Soap module for process one after another message?
    Appreciate your suggestions....
    Thank you.

  • Sender SOAP Adapter Security Issue

    Hi All,
    We are building a SOAP to proxy scenario. The sender is a SOAP Adapter and the receiver is Proxy. The SOAP WSDL and URL is provided to the legacy system. When the legacy system is trying to send the data using the WSDL and the URL provided, they are receiving a dialog box to enter the user name and password. We can create a system user and provide those credentials to the legacy system. However, the legacy folks are not interested in including this in their web service.
    Could you please suggest, if there is a way to create the web service such that it wouldn't request for user credentials? Something like no authorizations in the web service?
    Thanks,
    Manohar Dubbaka.

    Hi Preeti,
    Thanks for the response. Since we are on PI 7.0, I believe the setting that you are referring to should be on Visual Admin. Could you please let us know the parameter or the setting that needs to be changed in VA?
    I am not sure, how we can make use of SSO to prevent them from entering the user credentials. Your help in this regard would be much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Manohar Dubbaka.

  • Webservice security: manipulating the SOAP Header

    Hi all,
    I need to call a web service for which the following XWSS security policy is specified:
    <xwss:SecurityConfiguration dumpMessages="false" xmlns:xwss="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/xwss/config">
    <xwss:RequireUsernameToken passwordDigestRequired="true" nonceRequired="true"/>
    </xwss:SecurityConfiguration>
    Looking at the BPEL Admin guide, I tried to add the following to the bpel.xml file:
    <property name="wsseOASIS2004Compliant">true</property>
    <property name="wsseHeaders">credentials</property>
    <property name="wsseUsername">username</property>
    <property name="wssePassword">digestedPassword</property>
    I tried to encrypt the password using either Base64 or sha1. In any case, the following error is returned:
    com.sun.xml.wss.XWSSecurityException: Receiver Requirement for Digested Password has not been met
    Apparently, the following header format has to be constructed:
    <SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
    <SOAP-ENV:Header>
    <wsse:Security xmlns:wsse="http://docs.oasis-open.org/wss/2004/01/oasis-200401-wss-wssecurity-secext-1.0.xsd"
    SOAP-ENV:mustUnderstand="1">
    <wsse:UsernameToken xmlns:wsu="http://docs.oasis-open.org/wss/2004/01/oasis-200401-wss-wssecurity-utility-1.0.xsd"
    wsu:Id="XWSSGID-11553010711772067303919">
    <wsse:Username>username</wsse:Username>

    </wsse:UsernameToken>
    </wsse:Security>
    </SOAP-ENV:Header>
    <SOAP-ENV:Body>
    theBody
    </SOAP-ENV:Body>
    </SOAP-ENV:Envelope>
    How can I achieve that using BPEL Designer (using 10.1.2.1.0)?
    E.g. are there ways to directly influence the SOAP Header?
    Thanks.
    Best regards, Sjoerd

    More info:
    By specifying the header properties in the bpel.xml BPEL generates the following header data in the SOAP message (obtained using obtunnel):
    <soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"
    xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"
    xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">
    <soapenv:Header>
    <wsse:Security soapenv:actor="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/actor/next"
    soapenv:mustUnderstand="1"
    xmlns:wsse="http://docs.oasis-open.org/wss/2004/01/oasis-200401-wss-wssecurity-secext-1.0.xsd">
    <wsse:UsernameToken xmlns:wsu="http://docs.oasis-open.org/wss/2004/01/oasis-200401-wss-wssecurity-utility-1.0.xsd">
    <wsse:Username>username</wsse:Username>
    <wsse:Password Type="http://docs.oasis-open.org/wss/2004/01/oasis-200401-wss-username-token-profile-1.0#PasswordText">clearTextPassword</wsse:Password>
    </wsse:UsernameToken>
    </wsse:Security>
    </soapenv:Header>
    <soapenv:Body>
    theBody
    </soapenv:Body>
    </soapenv:Envelope>
    As you can see it uses the #PasswordText which indicates the use of a cleartext password.
    Thus the question remains: how to get the Nonce, the CreationTime and the PasswordDigest in the SOAP Header of the message (BPEL 10.1.2.1.0)?
    Thanks, Sjoerd

    Hi,
    In the Sample SOAP, the username and password are weblogic and
    weblogic1. But the request you are sending are
    username
    and password which are not the authenticated account.
    You need make sure that the username and password you passed are authenticated
    account.

  • Jdeveloper WS Proxy client and ADFpage both throwing security issues

    Hello experts, can you please help me. I have web service deployed on weblogic server.
    I have not set any credential for this web service. I can test the service from SOAPUI without providing any credentials.
    Then I generated WS proxy client using Jdeveloper. When I try to run the client, I do not know why I get security execption (shown below) eventhough I have not secured the web service deployed on weblogic server.
    java.lang.SecurityException: keyStoreFilename is either null or empty string
    at weblogic.wsee.security.util.CertUtils.getCertificate(CertUtils.java:87)
    at pilot1.ContactWSPortTypePortClient.getBSTCredentialProvider(ContactWSPortTypePortClient.java:104)
    at pilot1.ContactWSPortTypePortClient.setPortCredentialProviderList(ContactWSPortTypePortClient.java:78)
    at pilot1.ContactWSPortTypePortClient.main(ContactWSPortTypePortClient.java:46)
    Process exited with exit code 0.
    Here is my client class :
    public static void main(String[] args) {
    try {
    contactWSService = new ContactWSService();
    ContactWSPortType contactWSPortType = contactWSService.getContactWSPortTypePort();
    Map<String, Object> requestContext = ((BindingProvider) contactWSPortType).getRequestContext();
    setPortCredentialProviderList(requestContext);
    // Add your code to call the desired methods.
    // QueryPageInputSecondPage qpisp= new QueryPageInputSecondPage(); //I have commented it in order to resolve security issue
    System.out.println("Inside the client class");
    } catch (Exception ex) {
    ex.printStackTrace();
    Inside the method setPortCredentialProviderList(), I have not provided any credentials, keystores etc. Because weblogic is not setup with SSL and also I have not set up any authorization or authentication for the web service. I do not know why I am able to test it through SOAPUI and why not using WS proxy.
    I also tried to invoke the web service from ADF page by creating data contorl. I did not provide any policy details because there is not security enabled for the web service on weblogic server. Even when I run the ADF application, I get below security error :
    <Error while invoking endpoint "http://10.1.1.59:7010/ContactWSWebSvc/ContactWSPortTypePort" from client; Security Subject: anonymous>

    Also, I do not know why the Jdev classpath is set with lot of jar files. May be that is how the Jdeveloper is setup when we install since it has to support lot of applications. I am really shocked to see this.
    When I run the WS proxy client (java client) for this webservice from Jdeveloper, it is finally throwing java.lang.SecurityException: keyStoreFilename is either null or empty string error. As I mentioned earlier, I did not provide any credentials or keysotre details inside setPortCredentialProviderList(). I am totally confused why Jdeveloper is behaving like this for unsecured web service.

  • SOAP message security

    Hello,
    1) Could you please suggest best way to handle PI web service with regard to security. We are exposing PI to use web services from external system.As the external system are not part of our DMZ and do not reside in our network what is the best approach to configure the SOAP sender and receiver channels.
    2) Also When we give the WSDL to external parties normally the PI host would be local would there be any issues wrt security should the network team open up ports for them or map the local host to public host.
    Thanks.

  • Is it possible to call a SOAP webservice using HTTP POST adapter

    Hello Experts,
    Is it possible to call a webservice using a HTTP adapter with POST method? If yes, how?
    Regards,
    Diptee

    No this will not work since you have additional SOAP information (i.e. SOAP envelope, security information) in addition to the payload. If you need a simple HTTP-Post for example, then you don't need SOAP, you can use the more simple http protocol without the additional features of SOAP.

  • SOAP Webservice problem on Android

    Hello,
    I am trying to consume my own SOAP webservice and generated webservice stubs from my wsdl in flash builder.
    Testing operations is working fine. Everything is working in "simulated device". But when I run my app on my android device webservice calls are never returning.
    They are actually never received on the webservice server.
    Just afert 10 to 30 seconds there is a window displayed inside my app. This window is not from me, I only have two label fields in this project to display test webservice data.
    Made a image for you:
    "click to have good quality"
    I tried 2 services:
    one where the webservice server is running on my device (10.10.200.40 is devices ip address)
    one where the webservice is running in internet.
    The devices connection is fine. 10.10.200.40 and outside addresses are pingable and the webservice on the device can be called from flashbuilder's operation testing.
    Thanks,
    Thomas

    Hello All
    I also need to call some simple web mothods. How is this achieved?
    I have an as3 mobile project built in flash builder 4.6 which needs to send/ receive simple data with my asp.net web service.
    Is your problem related to a security setting in your xml descriptor file perhaps??

  • BPEL to invoke a webservice secured by BASIC auth

    Hi
    I have been trying to write a simple BPEL process to invoke a remote webservice secured by basic authentication. I was able to build the BPEL process and then the composite application that I deployed successfully to glassfish, all within NetBeans IDE. As per the wiki notes: http://wiki.open-esb.java.net/Wiki.jsp?page=HTTPBasicAuthentication, I also added the Policy element to the wsdl for the service that I am trying to invoke as follows:

  • Advantages or disadvantages rest ful or soap webservices

    hi all.
    For a project we need to build a couple of webservices. I am finding out what type of webservice is the best to use.
    Restful or SOAP webservices.
    Does anybody have experience with these 2? And why have you chosen for Restful webservices or SOAP webservices?
    kind regards,
    Anton Pierhage

    Hi,
    Following are the further actions tried:
    •     Allowing RESTful access at the INTERNAL workspace, supporting all the workspaces.
    •     Executed queries at SYS, Granting Connect Privileges to a Host (with ref. Apex 4.1 App Builders user Guide.pdf, Page 14-5)
    •     Executed queries at SYS, Granting Connect Privileges to a Local Host (with ref. Apex 4.1 App Builders user Guide.pdf, Page 14-6)
    I tried recreating RESTful based page again, with the REST url http://www.thomas-bayer.com/sqlrest/CUSTOMER&CUST_ID. ,
    which when executed as url on browser runs fine, returning with valid response, but when its done via apex pages, the error message shows with:
    “The operation is not allowed, Reason: For security reasons, ftp and http access over XDB repository is not allowed on server side”
    Maybe I moved one step forward in this case, but seems not enough to accomplish.
    Can anyone guide me from here on?
    Regards,
    Krishna
