SOAP with login

Hi,
before I can use a webservice in a file to SOAP scenario I have to call an other  web service where I will get for a request message (database, user, pwd) a response message (session-id). This session-id and the file I need to call the original  webservice.
How can I do this?
In the ESR exists:
1) datatype + messagetype + service interface for the file
2) an external definition (wsdl) for the login web service
3) an external definition (wsdl) for the web service (here I need the session-id from the login web service)
4) ???
What kind of service interfaces and mappings I need?
Any help please?

You can do first webservice using SOAP call in the mapping itself, If you get all the values then update those information in the target structure webservice and call the webservice. Since  you get just session information in the first webservice, you can handle this lookup in the mapping itself.
Refer this link for webservice call using UDF in the mapping program.

  • Web service with login soap action

    Hi !
I would an explanation if the XI soap adapter can resolve the web service's flow below:
    1 - soap action login with the first wsdl;
    2 - reception of the session header;
3 - when the soap action that needs be called to solve, the session header (cookie saved) must be written inside the http protocol header (from the cookie saved) and after that to send with the second wsdl.
If there are another thing  to resolve, I would thank about.
    Thanks for your attention.

Hi thanks for your input, but did you have to encode your binary data stream in say Base64 / utf-8 ? Also if you are transferring files in bulk(say 10 -100 files)  how does your web  service indicate end of one file or what is the best way so as to avoid performance problems.

  • Choosing between external and partner application and problem with login

We have an application on Oracle App Server 10.1.3.3 and we have an OID server.
I had taken this for granted that I should define the application as 'Partner Application' and not external application for single sign on.
Now that we need the 'PASSWORD' retrieved by application, we are considering defining it as an external application.
There are at least two problems I have encountered defining the application as external:
    1. 'pageConfig:serverDate' is among the login form's inputs in the login page, but I can't set it in orasso 'Edit External Applications' page
    2. After login using SSO as external application and when I click on the application's new link, the login page is shown with the username and password field filled, but I have to click on login button anyway (no automatic and invisible login).
I will be very grateful if someone gives a general view on the differences between external and partner, whether in this case external has to be used or partner and finally give some comment on my specific problem with login button and manual login.
    Thank you

    Just some information :
    - The problem with LOGIN page exists. I don't have that problem with for example GMAIL when defined as external application, but with my applications in Oracle Application Server.
    - There is also another thing I don't understand. The link to external application is something like:
    javascript:open_jwindow('../ealogin?ID=76D4766','76');
and couldn't be executed outside pls/orasso
in other words we can't give that to our users, can we? They should login to orassso and see that?
We don't want to involve them in Identity Management...
    Any help is appreciated....

  • How to create Inbound SOAP With Attachments

    Hi All,
Does someone know how to create an Inbound SOAP Message (from SAP XI to a Business System) with attachments?
We get an Idoc from a SAP R/3 system and transform this Idoc to an other XML format messages, but we want this message as an attachment and not as the payload in the SOAP Envelope.
We tried the PayloadSwapBean module, but we don't have an attachment to swap with, but maybe we used the wrong paramaters.
    Thanks,
    Frank

    Hi Stefan,
Does this quick response mean I challenged you?
Our scenario is that we send an IDoc (ORDERS05) from our R/3-backend-system to XI (3.0/SP15). In an integration process (A/S-bridge) we transform this IDoc to an UBL-Order XML-message, and we want to send this XML-message as an attachment to a (synchronous) SOAP-call to a vendor. Like I said, despite the SAPHelp-content, we don't get this working. Whatever we try, the UBL-Ordermessage is contained in the SOAP-body.
What makes it even more strange, is that XI itself is based on the SOAP-with-attachments-standard...
So, any help is much appreciated!

  • Soap with Attachment

    Hello,

  • Soap with attachments

I am a newbie to Soap do anyone have examples on soap with attachment. My requirement I need to send a zip file as an attachment from server to client using soap protocol and download that on client.I think we can do with SAAJ but do anyone have example..I need it immediately. Thanks in advance.
    Ragavendra.

The jwsdp 1.1 tutorial has an example of using saaj to add an attachment to a soap message. See JWSDP_HOME\docs\tutorial\doc\JAXM5.html and search for "Adding Attachments". For attaching a zip file, a DataHandler is probably easiest:
    DataHandler dh = new DataHandler(new FileDataSource("skwish.zip"));
    AttachmentPart attachment = message.createAttachmentPart(dh);
    attachment.setContentId("zip_data"); // optional
    message.addAttachmentPart(attachment); Mike

  • IDoc to Soap, with BPM - Permanent error in BPE inbound processing

    Hi Experts,
IDoc to Soap, with BPM - > Permanent error in BPE inbound processing
How to rectify this any issue???
    Thanks-
    sk

    Hi,
The inbound processing encountered a permanent error and the queue therefore stopped.
The error message "Permanent error in BPE inbound processing" may be caused by the following:
    - At the start or when you process a process instance, the inbound processing encounters an exception that was not handled. This exception is triggered, for example, by a transformation step, a synchronous send step or a control step but it was not caught in an exception handler branch. If the exception that was not handled occurs in the first transaction of the started process instance, the system does not write the process instance to the database but it sets the queue that has this error message to the error status.
Refer to the help in Note 1082099
    - The inbound processing triggers this error if the correlation evaluation shows that a message should be delivered to a process instance that has the status "error". Since delivery to process instances that contain errors is not permitted, the queue is stopped.
Use the simulation of the message delivery in the detail view of the relevant queue LUW to determine the relevant process instance for the affected message and use transaction SXMB_MONI_BPE "Continue Process Following Error" (or transaction SWF_XI_SWPR) to continue. If you cannot continue the process instance, check whether you can logically delete the instance. In this case, use the method that is described in Note 807906 to logically delete a process instance.
Check whether your system contains other process instances that have errors in order to detect similar problems. Use transaction SXMB_MONI_BPE "Continue Process Following Error" or transaction SWF_XI_SWPR.
Use the report RSWF_CRL_MAINTAIN to check all of the correlation instances in question or the relevant process instances that you can reach using "Display Work Item".
    - Messages that cannot be delivered because no correlation instance can be found may lead to the error that is mentioned here. Check whether the causes that are outlined in Note 1094028 affect your case.
    Hope this will help you.

  • RFC to soap with attachment

    Hi all,
I need to implement a synchronous scenario where an R/3 system sends data via RFC to an external system that expects it in the format of soap with attachment. Then the external system responds with soap message without attachment.
My main concern is how to create a soap attachment from payload that I get from the RFC sender adapter.
I would appreciate any your suggestion how to implement this scenario. If possible, I would prefer to avoid using java modules and BPM, since I am not very skilled with them.
    Thanks Janos.

well i think your darkest fears just came true ... the only option here is to write a module to create the attachments for you. The trick is once the module create the attachment, you need to check the option keep attachments in the SOAP receiver CC.

  • Binary Attachments - MTOM vs. SOAP with Attachments

    Hello everybody,
i am kind of stuck by implementing a soap to proxy scenario! I wanted to use MTOM to transfer the messages together with the attachments, but until now i couldn't find out if this is possible at all using the ws-adapter with backend proxy (version 701)!
    I have seen this already:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi711/helpdata/de/48/d5a1fe5f317a4e8e35801ed2c88246/frameset.htm
unfortunately im not a abap coder, but i can see using attachments in proxys should work!
But how? Am i forced to used soap with attachments on sending webservice? If yes, have you got an example for me?
    I would appreciate any help!
    Thanks in advance,
    Markus

    Hi Amar,
thanks for your reply, i know the mtom theory, but i don't know how to do it with sap pi on proxy side!
(By the way, your link throws a 404!)
Using soap adapter with enabled "keep Attachments" option, the MTOM-Attachment is getting processed, but on proxy side, using soap adapter (keeping attachments) to call proxy, it crashes on the backend side (version 701).
I tried to make a webservice out of the proxy in soamanager, but i didn't get this working, as i have never done this. Also i didn't find an option for mtom in soamanager. I am also wondering why mtom is only supported in ws-adapter 7.10 but not in 7.11, why is this? And is it possible to use soap-adapter on OB-side and WS-Adapter on IB-side, or can i only use ws-adapter for direct communication?
    Lot's of questions i am facing ;-)...
    Kind regards,
    Markus

Any idea of using SOAP with SSL in weblogic 5.1.?? My webservice works properly

    Hi Rafa,
Can you possibly upgrade? WLS 5.1 does not have a built-in web services
stack. WLS 7 and WLS 8.1 make this very easy.
You might try searching back in this newsgroup using the header search

  • Conference link with login and password included

    Hi,
I have been trying to find a way to make Adobe Connect send meeting invitation e-mails with login and password included in the link - unfortunately to no avail.
Does anyone know, if it's at all possible to do it and if so, how it's done?
I'm still on a trial version, but I've been assured, that it shoudn't be a problem.
Thanks in advance for any hints!
    Kamil

OK, I played with it and here is how I got it to work:
    Appending the URL:
The URL would need to be appended with /?login=username&password=password. The "api/xml?action=" string was incorrect. I verified that this does work.
The full URL would look similar to this: http://realeyesconnect.adobeconnect.com/bestroomever/?login=myusername&password=drowssap
The login can also be done programmatically. You would need to do the following steps to get the log-in to be automatic.
Log the individual into the server:http://YourServerURL/api/xml?action=login&login=username&password=password
Should return a value of OK
Get the BREEZESESSION cookie for the user:
    http://YourServerURL/api/xml?action=common-infoShould show a value similar to this:<cookie>na3breezr59qzu2pp2qy4zdm</cookie>
Log the user in to the room with the cookie:http://YourServerURL/RoomLink/?session=na3breezr59qzu2pp2qy3zdm
Guest names can also be added to the url link. These options are described here: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/connect/9.0/webservices/WS5b3ccc516d4fbf351e63e3d11a171dd2d4-7 ff4_SP1.html

  • SOAP with attachments, attachment streaming

    Hello all,
We are currently in the process of designing an integration service that uses web services (SOAP) as the means of communication.
There are very large binary attachments included with these SOAP messages. MTOM ja SAAJ are to be used (propably CXF).
However, as these attachments are very large (100MB), I would like to stream the attachments "through" the integration server.
Is this possible? Can I somehow stream the SOAP attachment from the source system directly into the target without saving it as a whole into the integrating server application?
Thank you for all your help! All solution suggestions are apprechiated :-)

    Hi Aalap,
In version 1 of WebLogic Workshop SOAP attachments are not supported.
Attachments will be supported in the next version. If support for SOAP
attachment is an important requirement for you application, you can use
WebLogic Web Services which supports SOAP Attachments.
Please refer to the following document for more information on this

  • Web Service with attachments (SOAP with attachments) without PI

    Hi,
Is it possible to send across file(say PDF) using ABAP web services. I know it can be done with Java using SOAP with attachments. Is something similar available for ABAP ? since if we transfer raw binary data as type string / xstring it may have a performance impact.
I could not see any option for attachments when using web service wizard from SE37 / soamanager
Note I am not using PI, this Web service would be consumed by a 3rd party tool. There is very little material available on transferring files using web service with SOAP attachments.
